Ti4400 VIVO Driver

Is there somewhere in the drivers to turn on Video In or is it always activated?
I downloaded the latest MSI drivers thinking they were needed for VIVO but they look the same as the nVidia drivers with no MSI tabs appearing like the original drivers that came with the board.
Thanks

I had the same problem yesterday
For the Video In, you just need an ordinary RCA plug (if oyu dont have any S Video), I just have an old TV in my bedroom so I plugged the RCa cable in my VCR and a cable plug from my VCr to my tv, and it work!

  • [GeForce 6] nx6600gt-vtd128 vivo driver for windows xp x64 edition?

Are there any (beta or release) wdm driver for this msi's nx6600gt-vtd128 for windows xp x64 edition?  If not, are there plans to make an x64 driver in the near future?

I have the same card, and i can't find ANY capture driver for it. Not even the WindowsXP 32-Bit.
Could you enlighten me on where exactly did you see the 32bit capture drivers? (Other than the MSI CD)
    EDIT:
Now I noticed you said NVDIA's Website, they're even older than the ones MSI provided on the CD. Older by like 2 years.
What I'm looking for, is a place where I can find fresh new WDM drivers. Or at least an online package of what's on the CD
Drivers should not be availiable only on a CD.

  • Sorry but I need a little help from yours...(vivo function on FX 5600)

Hi everybody, I've decided to post here in order to get some advices (maybe some of the moderators are not going to agree with me) from some of you (wonkanoby, Osnavi, Stu online, among others...) that I have the certainty that you could help me out here.
So here it's the message posted in the VGA MSI cards forum, but I didn't received any answers... And I'm so sorry for doing this but I don't see any other option, I really appreciate your advices, so here it's:
"Hi, I'm trying to use the VIVO function on a MSI Geforce FX 5600 but without any good result. I've installed the last WDM driver and also the lates Nvidia drivers, also the Info executable for Intel Chipset (inf, AGP), the motherboard can't asign an IRQ to the AGP (possible solution suggested by Nvidia itself to reponse to: "code 10 the device can't start"), I don't know if this mobo it's not compatible with this function or with this vid card. I'm pretty shure that I can't capture any video files without having the need of using any third part software (adobe premiere, capture solution, tv-christ, among others) and please advice me if I'm wrong, (I've tried MSI media Center deluxe without any success). The error code that the device manager shows is this(on nvidia WDM video Capture): Error code 10, the device can´t start.
    Any ideas are welcome.
    Here are the specs:
    Pentium 4 HT 2.8 mhz 800 fsb
    Intel 865gbf

There may be an IRQ issue that the Intel crowd may be better suited to help with. You may have a device IRQ conflict, I've had this happen before and you have to look at your IRQ's for starters and look at slot population. The Creative card may be in a shared slot further complicating the issue or perhaps even the drivers are conflicting.
I suggest you tell us what slots are populated and post your IRQ's.
Go to Start>AllPrograms>Accessories>System Information~>Hardware Resources>IRQ's (Use the Edit menu to select all and copy, then post your IRQ's like this:
    IRQ 0   System timer   OK
IRQ 1   Standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyboard   OK
IRQ 4   Communications Port (COM1)   OK

does this work with the ti4200 vivo cards? i really hope so as at the moment im stuck using the 41.07 drivers. i havent been on for a while, did they ever sort that out, last i remember you had to use 41.07 with wdm 1.27 as they were the only combination that would work without producing a code 10 error, but these drivers are very out of date now

  • Please help! ViVo on 5950 is a no-go!

Hey all, got a real puzzler of a problem here...
I've got an MSI 5950XT card with ViVo and I just can't for the life of me get the ViVo drivers (WDM Capture drivers, Nvidia A/V Crossbar etc.) installed.  It's driving me crazy!
    Here's what's going on:
If I do a fresh install of XP and use the (ooooold) drivers that came with the card, first installing the VGA driver, then the capture driver, everything's fine.  However, those drivers cause problems with a lot of games (GTA:SA for example has serious texture problems with all the people models).  If I try to install the latest forceware drivers from Nvidia, I get a BSOD on startup (driver conflict).  I can roll back to last known good without a problem.
If I use the latest MSI driver, that works but it knocks out the ViVo driver - Virtual Dub (for example) doesn't recognize any capture devices, nor do Nero 6 or Nero 7.  If I try to remove that driver and reinstall, again, BSOD.  Worse still, that situation horks up my Forceware motherboard drivers, to the point that at that juncture I  no longer have IDE drivers for the channel the DVD-R/Rw drive(s) is on.  The only option at that point is to do a repair install of XP.
I thought initially the issue was with the card's BIOS, so I flashed it, but while the flash went OK I'm still having the same problem.  I can either have the latest and greatest MSI Detonator/Forceware drivers or ancient (in driver terms) drivers and capture.
Surely there's a way around this!
    Here's the system specs:
    Chaintech VNF3-250 motherboard
    512mb Crucial PC 3200 RAM
    AMD XP3000+ CPU
running WinXP Corporate, SP2 (real, legitimate!  Honest! )
    Can anyone assist, puh-lease?

  • No Video-In signal for NX6600GT-VTD128

    Hi,
I'm having a problem with my NX6600GT-VTD128 AGP. The video-in is not working. I have connected my TV and a video camera via SVideo and Composite connectors but there is no signal. I am using various programs like Sage, PowerVCR, Premiere etc and have also selected the proper "source" in every program. Installed latest driver, 66.93 from NVidia, 66.72 and 71.22 from MSI... Of course 2.20_wdm-vivo driver from NVidia is installed as well.
    Please advise..........
    Thanks

4.04? Ic, didn't know that a newer version existed..... nVidia site has only 2.20 and nothing about VIVO in the beta drivers. I found 4.03 from Sparkle and 4.04 from Gainward...... I'll try these today and post tomorrow with the results.
    Thanks!

  • 5600XT-VTDR128:Manual BIOs download

I'm just trying to download the BIOs to have for safe keeping but unless MSI says so  (Liveupdate 3) you can't download anything. I prefer to download and install on my own without a 3rd party doing it for me.  I've already updated to driver 5672 with no problem but I just can't find the BIOs. Also I would like to know about their support for there VGA cards. I can only use the VIVO function when I load the 2.20 wdm-vivo driver but it doesn't support the card like the 5672 driver. I end up having to reload the 5672 drivers to get the functionality back...any ideas?
                                                       Rick

it's actually very easy. If anyone here has that vid card, in dos mode you launch nvflash -b bios.rom and it should backup the current bios in the nvidia card in the file bios.rom. nvflash can be found in several pages on the net, and it's always good to have a backup of your bios (due to bad flashings like me) because the original file is nowhere to be found, as you can see. btw, if anyone has the vga card msi geforcefx5600xt td128 and is willing to backup its bios, i'd be glad to have a copy of it. I need it with urgency and I think I can find the way to reward it. otherwise, any similar bios (like the one's missing in this thread) is welcome. hope this helps out. now you just need someone with your same card

  • TV out very poor image

    Hello,
i know its one of the most common issues i guess but i have a problem to, i have a Ti4400 vivo, now i finally connected my card to a TV set throughout Svideo cables and a scart adapter.
now the cloned desktop on the tv is of extremely poor quality, its flat and colorless, and like a channel thats not tuned in finely, unclear and unable to read anything on the screen...
i tried all pal and ntsc settings that are found in the list, none of them correct this problem, as a matter of fact it stays 100% the same all the time, no loose cables also.
something wrong with the scart? i dunno, tried it on my TV, video, another scart svideo cable... all the same, maybe a should check for a front A/V cable instead of this methode, or is there something wrong with settings and stuff that i overlooked?
    greets
    cromy  ;(  :P

    Hi,
Part of the problem may be due to the limited bandwidth of TV systems - this effectively limits the maximum resolution you can use. Computer monitors have much higher video bandwidths and dot pitch than TV sets, and in larger sizes are much more expensive than the equivalent sized TV set.
As a general rule, 800x600 is the maximum resolution that will display OK on a TV, although a few adapters can do a reasonable job at 1024x768 (but usually at a price). You get less than 600 horizontal display lines in PAL, and less than 500 in NTSC anyway.
Even at 800x600, the standard sized fonts (e.g. 10 point) will be difficult to see, and a larger font size is much easier to read.
So try 800x600 and see if it is any more readable. Large areas of a single colour should come out OK though, but if you have no colour at all then there may be a problem with the connection - the TV might not accept an S-video signal, for instance (The SCART adapter will connect the S-Video input to the appropriate SCART pins, but the TV might not accept S-Video, and so will only show black-and-white.) If this is the case, try using the Composite video output (usually on a single Yellow RCA socket) from the video card.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers

  • Video capture driver for MSI GeForce 2 Pro video card

    Hi,
I am in need of the nVidia WDM video capture driver for my Geforce 2 Pro video card. Model #M-8831. I was able to download it from the MSI/TW website over a year ago just fine. My computer crashed from a game bug a couple of months ago and MSI/TW does not list the capture driver I need any longer. I did email the company asking for help with no response back yet (after 2 weeks). You people may be my last hope.
I do have the cd that came with the video card, but I've never been able to install the capture driver from it. There is a button to install it, but it never gets loaded. I've tried browsing the cd and also tried installing it using the windows wizards with zero results. My only successful install was from the MSI home website.
If you need more information, please let me know.

  • GeForce4 Ti4400 + AMD = trouble

    Running with the following components:
Tyan Trinity KT-A motherboard rev B (BIOS v1.10)
AMD Athlon XP 1800+ CPU (Retail package)
    1024MB PC133 RAM (1x 512MB, 2x 256MB)
    560watt power supply
nVidia GeForce 4 Ti4400 (MSI corporation)
nVidia TNT 2 Ultra (Creative Labs corp)
    Sound Blaster Live! Platinum
    Roland Sound Canvas SCC-1
    D-Link 530TX+ (Network card)
    Generic PCI 56K modem
    Windows 98 (Second Edition)
    Generic 3.5" 1.44MB Floppy
    Western Digital Caviar 33100 (3.1GB)
    Maxtor 16GB HD
    Lite-On 48x CD-ROM
This is a newly assembeled system.  With the GeForce 4 card installed, the system freezes before Win 98 finishes booting. According to the bootlog.txt file,
the freeze happens after loading RMM.PDR and BIGMEM.VXD....
I thought maybe the files were corrupted, so I extracted
new copies from the Win 98 CAB files, but to no avail.
I tried many different versions of the GeForce 4 drivers, but also  to no avail..the system always froze in the same place....
Just as a test, I replaced the GeForce 4 card with an older TNT 2 Ultra card...Sure enough, the system booted up the Win 98 log-in screen.
Unfortunately, at the Win 98 log-in screen, I see the message that the Sound Blaster Live! card cannot load it's MIDI files, so MIDI playback is disabled.....I then see a "blue screen error" that says the "system memory" is running low, and that Norton Anti-Virus Auto-Protect might not function properly.....
The system is running pretty slow, so when I check the "Windows 98  Performance settings", it says that the Hard Drives (and Floppy Drive) are running in "Compatibility Mode", but with 81% system resources free.
I thought maybe the VIA chip-set divers needed to be updated, so I tried 4 different versions, all having no effect...Also, in the main system information screen, while the correct CPU is displayed (Athlon XP 1800+),
the RAM count only says 1013MB... It becomes more strange because when in "Safe Mode", the RAM count accurately shows 1024MB.
    So far, I've tried:
New and older drivers for GeForce 4 card
New and older drivers for TNT2 ultra card
New and older drivers for SB Live card
New and older drivers for VIA Chipset
I am at a total loss on what to do, so if you could offer any advice or suggestions, I'd be greatful.  Do you think replacing Windows 98 with XP could help?
    Thank you,
    Andrew B.

Woo, finally got Win XP installed, and my GeForce 4 Ti4400 runs GREAT.  Also put that extra 512MB back in.
The only problem I'm having now is that any sound coming out of my SB Live (be it, CD Audio, MP3, or something thru the Line-In), starts to get really choppy whenever an IDE device is being accessed (i.e. CD-ROM, hard drive).  When the device is not being accessed, the audio is crystal clear. (Never had this problem with Win 98se)
The SB Live card is the only device sitting on IRQ 5, so it's not conflicting with any thing.  I've put that card in 4 different PCI slots, but it didn't help.
    Any suggestions?
Here's what I've tried so far (following Knowledge Base articles from Creative Labs), all with no improvements:
Disabled unused devices (Serial Ports, USB Ports, Parallel Port, Floppy Drive Controller).
Switched hard drive controller into PIO-Mode only.
Tried 15-16MB memory hole  (in BIOS).
    Tried lowering EAX reverb.
Lowered both Sound and Graphic acceleration (even lowered to ZERO)
Tried Win XP in both ACPI and non-ACPI modes
Updated VIA drivers to latest version
    Udated GeForce 4 drivers
    Updated SB Live drivers
Moved SB Live card to 4 different PCI slots
Slowed down AGP slot from 4x to 2x
Installed all of the latest patches/fixes for Win XP.
    Nothing has worked yet

  • 5600XT/No idea how to work VIVO

I've just assembeled this system with a FX5600XT-VTDR128. The book has nothing to say except that there is an attach for video in and video out. I've tried the forceware drivers, capture drivers, Media Center, etc. I'm back to the 5663 driver, the newest capture drivers and as for Media Center...it just quits. I've tried the Media Center Deluxe II that came packaged...just gives an error message and quits. Then I tried the patch to Media Center Deluxe III...same thing.  I still have no clue if Media Center even controls the VIVO.
