Tibetan character in iMovie titles not working.. :(

Hello to all the intelligent people,
Mac OS X version 10.9.4
iMovie version 10.0.4
When i try to write a Tibetan character in iMovie titles which is in this case 2 letters on top of each other isn't coming out as it should be.
This is what I'm trying to write... for example: སློབ་གྲྭ Instead of getting that word (which means school) I get this: ས ླ ོ་ག ྲ ྭ
It does work when i use the first two rows of iMovie titles but the rest like the 'Scrolling credits' and the newest titles aren't working.
Can somebody please help me with this issue?
(If you want to see the problem by yourself, you can copy the first characters above and it'll look like the second one which is unreadable.)
If you can help me with this problem it would mean the world to me.
By the way, I already went to the Apple store and called the support telephone but no one could help me there.
I have been waiting for the newest update before i post this but the new update didn't do anything about my issue with the iMovie titles.
I really hope someone will write me and help me out.

I'm using the Tibetan QWERTY board...same as the one in iPhone i guess..?
when i check on the Tibetan keyboard on mac, and choose the middle one from the 3keyboards which normally works perfect on iMac Doesn't work that well anymore..(it comes out like the 2nd character above)

PROBLEM SOLVED!
I went to my device manager on my Windows 7 PC and found the Bonjour service in my Services and Applications section. I set it to manual and BANG iTunes started working like it's supposed to.
Unfortunately, I let my IPad get stolen on 17 Jan so I'll probably wait until after April to replace it with an IPAD 2!

The little grey camera icon ( IMovie) is not working or allowing me to open my photos. I have no problem inserting video. Just won't let me open my photos. Any ideas?

Keystroke return and ASCII character 13 and 10 not working in

I have the following script to opens a web page of my internal telephone switch (all in the local network) and fill in the two fields that come up and needs filled out in order to log in.

All works fine, it skips the first field (the login name is blank). Puts the password in the next field. However it refuses to activate the “log-in” button of the login window (the one that is blue and normally can be done with the enter key).
I tried:

keystroke enter
Non of them do the job.

Consider replacing ...

... with ...
tell document 1 to do JavaScript "document.myform.submit()"
... where 'myform' will have to be replaced with the forms' name.
To obtain the forms' name ...
01. Perform a right ('control' if single button mouse) button click on the form based web page. A contextual menu will appear.
02. Select the 'View Source' menu item. A new 'Safari' will appear with the title beginning with 'Source of ...'.
03. Look for a line similar to ...
<form name="myform" action="submit-form.php">
... Note, the name="myform". This is the forms' name. Whatever is between the name="" is what you need to substitute 'myform' with, in 'tell document 1 to do JavaScript "document.myform.submit()"'.
I entered ...

... in 'Script Editor', and visited 'JavaScript Form Submit example'. When the AppleScript code was executed, the web page responded accordingly.

IMOVIE Text Not working?

I have Imovie and my text does not work. Every time i hit the text, IMOVIE starts to perform slowly and freeze up to the point i have to force quit. All the other buttons work (like the transitions, music, pictures) but not the text. I have no idea how to fix the problem. IMOVIE works other than that and i need text. Can someone give me a suggestion of what to do?

Fixed it last week.
Turns out all I had to do was remove a Quartz Composer plug in that was effing up the graphics~

508 compliant tabbing and reading fo accessbility titles not working

I am workiing on the Mass Health Insurance Exhange system and trying to publish captivate 6 project that has 508 compliant ability with the following
tabbing through questions and click boxes so blind users can hear them being read by JAWs a screen reader. Also having objects being read by the reader with their name and description. It is not working. I put in all the proper settings in perferences and title and descriptionns in the accessibility settings and it is not outputting the accessibility descriptions for objects and being able to tab to cick boxes. So if you or anyone you know is knowledgable about publishing for 508 in Captivate 6 Please tell me of any settings I am fogetting. thank you in advance.

Yes I did enable the accessibility settings in preferences and that is why I am in a quandary about why it isn’t working.
Please keep me informed if you run across any information about other settings that I should be aware of, other than the accessibility settings in preferences.

List of Character which cause Query not work properly

I want the List of characters and resolution which can leads the SQL query to not work properly
LIKE
Problem: Single Quotes " ' " in SQL query.
Solution: Use one more single Quotes
Example: Select 'D''Sa'as EName from dual;
Please provide all Such special cases so I take care while developing my application.

Picture in picture in iMovie 11' not working

i went to advanced tools and checked the box.
i took the clip and dragged it over the other.
nothing is happening.
i then tried to restart imovie to see if that would help.
nothing.

to anyone else out there that had this problem, I figured it out. imovie would not let me import png for picture in picture, but it would let me import a .tiff. so i simply changed the file extension.
I didn't think png was an issue in imovie, but apparently it is.

OS10 Hub - Conversation Display - Grouping emails using title not working

One great feature of former blackberry and Outlook is the ability of sorting email together if they are relating the same discussion.
Their is an option for this in my Z10, but it doesn't work well at all. I had a discussion with someone using emails and we exchanged pictures and this kind of thing. The hub groups sometimes two messages together but that's it. There is no reliability or repeatability. And when I deactivate the function it is even worse as the few which were grouped together starts to be as unique entry (which is the expected behaviour under such settings).
Is the "Conversation" Display style working well on your handset ? This is pretty basic thing and my old BB 9800 used to do it properlly...

Titles not working, Exports lag with Snow Leopard Update. PLEASE HELP!

I just installed Snow Leopard yesterday and it installed very cleanly. Afterwards, I went and opened up iMovie '09 and everything was working smoothly except for the titles. In both the preview box and the projects, all the titles and effects were either all black, or had black boxes all around them. Also, when trying to export a video to Youtube regarding my problem, I looked at the video and for the first time ever, the audio and video were not in sync. Is this Snow Leopard's fault? I have tried everything I can think of but nothing is solving either problem. If ANYBODY can help with either problem PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me out! Also, if anybody is experiencing the same problem, please let me know. Thank you very very much.

I'm having the same problem. In addition to the titles doing the exact same thing you described, the titles in the globe/map also have a black box, and some of the transitions don't work properly. I called Apple Care last Friday, and spoke to 2 people. We were not able to resolve my issue. I tried deleting and reinstalling iMovie, removing the preferences, reinstalling snow leopard, creating another user account, and a bunch of other stuff. I did receive a case number, so as soon as I find out more information I can let you know. I am not having any problems on my other computer, so I guess it's a computer specific problem.

Imovie HD not working/improting mini dv

I am having truble with imovie HD, the icon on the dock does not look right, when I open it up, it gives me the three options in text, none of which will do anything when clicked on, there is no picture in the opened widow and when I have my mini DV cam (panasonic PV GS 180) attached (by fire wire) it does not give import file as an option. It has done this in the past however. Please help, thanks

Test another FW-Cable.
Test Your Camera on another Mac so that DV-in still works OK
Toogle in iMovie pref: Play-back via Camera (on<->off some times)
Other ways to import Your miniDV tape:
Use another Camera. There where tape play-back stations from SONY
but they costed about 2-4 times a normal miniDV Camera.
If Your Camera works on another Mac. Make an iMovie movie project here and move it
over to Your Mac via an external hard disk.
(HAS TO BE Mac OS Exchange formatted - USB/DOS/FAT32/Mac OS Exchange WILL NOT DO)
(Should be a FireWire one - USB/USB2 performs badly)
What Camcorder ?
FireWire - Sure not using the accompany USB-Cable but bought a 4-pin to 6-pin FW one ?
Using WHAT ? :
• Mac OS - X.5.4 ?
• QuickTime version ? (This is the heart in both iMovie and FinalCut)
• iMovie 8 (7.1.?) ?
• iMovie HD 6 (6.0.4/3) ?
Free space on internal (start-up) hard disk ? (Others don't count)
Does Your Camera work on another Mac ?
Sorry to say it is to easy to turn the 6-pin end of the FW-cable 180 deg wrong.
This is lethal to the A/D-chip in the Camera = needs an expensive repair.
(Hard to find out - else than import/export to another Mac ceased to work
everything else is OK eg recording and playback to TV)
Delete iMovie pref file may help sometimes. I rather start a new account, log into
this and have a re-try.

Hi Bengt W, I tried it all, but nothing worked. Your answer has been helpfull insofar as all the different trials led to the conclusion that there was something wrong with my iMovie software. I therefore threw everything away and reinstalled iMovie from the HD. After that the exportation of DV videos (there has not been any problem with HDV videos) to my Sony camcorders worked properly as it did before. Thank you. LKN 1935

Transaltion in work item title not working consistently

I am seeing a strange behaviour in SAP business workfplace with respect to the work item title (subject line) translation........................
- Some prelimenary info : All work item translations for title (subject) and work item body are completly maintained
- System : SAP ECC 6.0
Problem being faced
1. Workflow is trigerred by an user with English login and this generates a work item to the another users
2. The work item receipent logs in in different langiage say german...................he then starts SBPW to check this work item
3. The title of the work item appears in english while the same title which appears in the work item body also is shown in German (User log on language)..................
4. The user displays (not execute) the work item........................The work item title is shown in in German.
5. The user returns to the inbox and then the work item title changes to German language.........................
Has any one encountered this problem.......................I looked for SAP notes but could not find any note suitable for this..........................
I assume it is more a SBWP bug but want to gather some experience from this group

Hi,
This may happen due to the problem in language translation. Please maintain the language translation properly then test it agian.
Pleae check the table HRS1206 where OTYPE = 'TS' and OBJID= 99000031 ( task number ) whether the multiple language translation is maintained or not. If not thenyou need to maintain through transaction SE63.

Caret character in numbers (iWork09) not working with german keyboard

The caret caracter used to express "power to" in formulas can not be typed into formulas with the german keyboard layout. Using the caret key nothing happens. For text and strings in cells the caret key works. In iWork08 everything is fine. For formulas the caret character has such to be inserted using copy and paste.
This is more or less a bug report. I could not find a way to tell Apple directly.

All the backslash characters above it complains about. Is there an option to turn this off or are you really not allowed to break up lines anymore?

Are you sure your source code is not DOS text? (i.e. containing ^M).
I'm able to compile the string you have shown above without any compiler messages.
And answering your question - as per any C standard supported by SS10 (C99, C89) you are able to break lines by backslashes.
It is a basic compiler functionality and should work right away.

Certain iMovie clips not working in Firefox

I have just processed a number of short video clips in iMovie, taken with my Lumix GX7 camera and also with my Sony Android phone. I took the videos in MP4 format. The clips were processed in the same way, & exported from iMovie to MPEG files. I.e. the files from both devices are now in the same format. BUT, when I put them online in a private gallery, the videos from the Lumix GX cannot be viewed in either Firefox or IE; but the videos taken with the andoid phone can be viewed. For the videos taken with the Lumix GX I get a message saying 'This video can't be played in this browser. Try using a different browser or downloading the video and playing it in a video app'. But the whole point is that I want to send a link that people can view online - not for them to have to download the clip & install some video app! The only browser these clips work in is Google Chrome.
Does anyone have any ideas? I am really puzzled. Is it anything to do with the frame rate? I seem to recall being told by iMovie that these videos are 25, & the android clips are at 30?
Should I try to convert the clips back to MP4? iMovie doesn't seem to do this for some reason; when I 'export' it turns them all m4v files (not sure what format this is?). But as I said there is no problem with the clips from the android phone.

A big THANK-YOU to dougcoull with his answer to the question “How come Vimeo won’t work with Firefox 4”. (Search Vimeo in FF Help).
Type "about:config" in the address bar of your browser to take you to the config settings.
Scroll down to "dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.npswf32.dll" or cut n paste the term in the Filter.
If the entry is ‘false’, double click the entry to change from 'false' to 'true.
Close FF and then re-open for the setting to take effect.
Please take the effort to inform dougcoull if it works for you too.
Only issue for me is you may then find that plugin-container.exe is now running with Vimeo eating up and hogging CPU :(
