Tick symbols in forms6i

Dear All,
I am using oracle forms 6i with backend oracle 10g.i would like to know whether we have any option like putting TICK marks and INTO or WRONG marks.except check boxes is there some other options to do this.I also need these symbols to be appeared in different colors.Kindly let me know the possibility.

or using visual attribute through
1.creating it from the Object navigator
2.Assigning the coolor u want to it .
3.Then finally go to this check box's property> then from v/a node select the name of v/a u created.

Ticker Symbol for S&P 500 for Stock Quote Widget?

Anyone know what the ticker symbol is for the S&P 500 so I can see that in the stock quote widget which comes with OS X 10.4? I have searched Quote.com endlessly but cannot find it.
When I search quote.com it says the symbol is $SPB, but when I try to enter that in the widget it tells me "no matching symbols".

I use INX for the S&P 500. That only gives the graphs but not the percentage though, so it's not the best solution.

Phone keeps crashing-shows clock ticking symbol

My pearl keeps crashing. It shows the clock ticking symbol in the middle of the screen for a few seconds before being alright again. It happens all the time, every few minutes. Fixes temporarily when the battery is removed but doesnt fix the issue for more than a day.
Any help?!

Read a stock ticker symbol using java

HI Guys,
I am complete beginner to java. I have done c programming before for a long time. But its been 4 years haven't used c.
i am trying to read a stock ticker symbol periodically and save it to my data base. I would like to use java for that. any suggestions on how to do that. IS Java the best tool for reading webpages, especially if tehre are tables in the web pages? For example options page of any stock has a table. Is it easier to to use Java to read the table?

Hi,
To execute this task would be quite difficult since you are not in an "ABAP" environment.
The best approach is to create an RFC, that reads this Y table; and import the RFC to PI.
From there you can decide:
1 - Use RFC Receiver Adapter: if you want to call the RFC and get the data yourself.
2 - Use RFC Sender Adapter: if you want the data to come out of the RFC and go to PI by itself.

Green check (or tick) symbols and yellow exclamation marks in the canvas

Dear All,
I've been editing several sequences for some DVD extras over the past month and have returned to my main edit to find every time I stop the edit there's a green check (or tick as we say in the UK) in the canvas window. And sometimes there's a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark. Does anyone know why these are now being displayed and how I can get rid of them?

Somehow you have switched on the Range Checker for excess Luma or Chroma which shows whether your video is within acceptable limits.
To switch it off go to View>Range Check and deselect what you don't want.

What does a grey tick calendar symbol mean?

I'm wondering what the greyed out tick symbol in an invite means?
The help page talks about a green tick indicating an invitee has accepted, but makes no mention of a grey tick?
I've attached a screen-shot showing the different colored ticks.

better to ask a question about BI Publisher in BI Publisher Forum than here in Reports Forum.
You can create a template in your rtf wich you reference in your header. With BI Desktop in Winword you can use a different header for first page than the others.

Anyone know if I can get the current price or oil per barrel and gold per ounce on the iPhone through the stock quote function? If so, what are the symbols?

If you are looking for a ticker symbol representing light sweet crude oil futures, the most frequently quoted per barrel price of oil, use CLJ08.NYM which represents the current contract on the New York Mercantile Exchange for delivery of light sweet crude in April of this year.
You knew this would not be simple, right? CL represents the commodity, 08 the current year, and the J embedded in it represents April. If you want other delivery months, you should instead use the form CLx08.NYM where the x character is replaced by the following representation for a given month:
F - January
G - February
H - March
J - April
K -May
M - June
N - July
Q - August
U - September
V - October
X - November
Z - December
As we roll on toward 2009, change the trailing indicator from 08 to 09. Hey: nobody said this would be easy.
Today, the April delivery indicator closed at $ 109.85. I have no reason to believe that these structured symbols would not work on the iPhone. They certainly do produce the correct values for the standard Apple stocks widget in OS X.
The two character symbol for gold futures is GX, with February, April, June, August, October and December as the delivery months. All twelve months are valid for delivery of light sweet crude.
You will likely find looking at coffee and cocoa futures somewhat less depressing…

Basic Java Concepts

I'm a Java novice, trying to learn it along with Jdeveloper side by side. My learning of the Java fundamental concepts led to the below understanding, please see if my understanding is not correct in any way.
The fundamental concept with Java is a CLASS, whose feature are its state and behaviour. The state of the class is stored in the definition of the class itself via ATTRIBUTES or in lay man's language VARIABLES. These attributes can be static, public, private or protectd.
The behaviour of a class is stored via METHODS within the definition of a class. METHOD is nothing but a block of code performaing a certain action.
A good example of a CLASS's state a behaviour can be a stock. A stocks state is available via its ticker symbol, price of the stock, and the date i.e. on a given date, a given stock has a particular price. So there are 3 attributes.
Now METHOD in the context of the above example is a means to capture the ever changing state of the above 3 attributes.
In short attributes or fields ( defined via declaration of variables inside the class) capture the state of an object, where as its interaction with the world external to the object captured by METHOD.
These 3 attributes are common to thousands of stock's in the outside market, so a common class called STOCK can be created to capture the state and behaviour of thousands of stocks. The same class can be called at the same time to capture the behaviour of N number of stocks. When a class is called as explained, each such call is called an INSTANCE of the CLASS. An OBJECT is an instance of SUCH a class.
Similar to CLASS is INTERFACE. A given class can only call the attributes and methods from one another class. If a class needs to inherit from more than one another class then it is accomplished via an INTERFACE. An Interface contains only the spec of the methods from other classes and not the entire piece of code for he method itself. The methods that are declared in the interface are implemented in the classes to which they belong to.
A PACKAGE in turn is a collected of CLASSES and INTERFACES. A PACKAGE helps in keeping the code oraganized and grouped by the functionaliy it delivers.
A Class can in turn be either a SUPERCLASS or a SUBCLASS. In our given example CLASS, there are some stocks which offer OPTIONS and some which do not. In order to cover that behaviours we will like to create sub class called STOCSKWITHOPTIONS, which will then refer to STOCK class to inherit the attributes and methods from that class. In this case STOCK is the SUPERCLASS, and STOCKOPTIONS is the SUBCLASS.

Error while running batch in Hyperion Reports

Has anybody run accross this error while trying to run a batch in Hyperion Reports:
Unexpected Error creating query to datasource in createCubeViews:
The book the batch is running is big...

Have you ever successfully scheduled a batch? Make sure the scheduled batch name does not contain an ampersand "&" symbol or an apostrophe/single tick symbol. Those cause batches to error out for us.

I am trying to check the last date (i.e. max date) and also check the penultimate date (i.e. the second to the last date). And then find the difference between the two (i.e. last date minus penultimate
date).
I would like to do that for each of the companies listed in Table 2: Tickers. I am able to do it for just one company (MSFT) using the queries below:

No appropriate line item is contained in this document : Error in F-03

HI All,
when I am trying to clear a G/L account in F-03, for a document I am getting the error
'No appropriate line item is contained in this document'
I can see the open item in FBL3N and this is not a special G/L item
what can be the possible reason. Please let me know.

Hi All,
Let me explain the situation a bit more clearly.
The document contains 4 line items. with g/L accounts A, B, C, D .
In F-03, I am entering the document number and G/L account A .
Then when I am trying to clear I get the error, ' No appropriate line item is contained in this document'
I checked in FBL3N. I entered the above document in selection criteria and entered all the 4 G/L accounts.
In the output I can see 2 items. One with G/L account A , with a RED DOT and other with G/L account B
with a TICK Symbol.
There are no clearing documents linked.
So please throw some pointer as to what can be the possible reason of the error and the corresponding
solution.
