TICKET ISSUE
Hi
experts
i want to know about Ticket. If anybody know about it then plz share some information with me
Hi Pratik,
Good ... check the following documentation
<b>SAP Tickets</b>
Handling tickets is called Issue Tracking system. The errors or bugs forwarded by the end user to the support team are prioritized under three seviority High, Medium and Low. Each and every seviority as got its time limits before that we have to fix the error.
The main job of the supporting consultant is to provide assistance on line to the customer or the organisation where SAP is already implemented for which the person should be very strong in the subject and the process which are implemented in SAP at the client side to understand,to analyse,to actuate and to give the right solution in right time. This is the job of the support consultant.
The issues or the tickets(problems) which are arised is taken care of on priority basis by the support team consultants.
The work process in support projects are given below for your reference.
1. The customer or the end user logs a call through any tool or by mail (RADIX).
2. Each one of the support team is a part of support group.
3. Whenever a customer logs a call he /she has to mention to which work group (by name).
4. Once the calls came to the work group the support consultant or the team need to send an IR (Initial Response) to the user depending upon the priority of the calls. (Top,High,Med,Low,None)
5. Then the error is fixed, debugged by the support consultant or the team. Then after testing properly by generating TR(Transport Request through the basis admin)
6. Then it is informed to the end user/customer/super user about the changes which have moved to the production server by CTS process.
These are the process. In summary, what I understand is that if any configuration or customization is required to solve the issue, then the consultant have to work on DEV Client, then the end user will test it in the QA client and after approval the BASIS consultant has to transport it to the PRODUCTION client.
An example:
Tickets in SD can be considered as the problems which the end user or the employee in the company face while working on R/3. Tickets usually occur during the implementation or after theimplementation of the project. There can be numerous problem which can occur in the production support and a person who is working in the support has to resolve those tickets in the limited duration, every ticket has the particular deadline alert so your responsibility is to finish it before that deadline.
To begin with , we should give "TICKET" to you for not knowing it.
Here is an eg of a ticket raise:
End user is not able to
1. Create Sales order for a customer from a New plant , since shipping point determination is not happened . ( Without Shipping point the document becomes INCOMPLETE and he will not be able to proceed further like DELIVERY, BILLING).
He raises a ticket and the priority is set in one of the below:
1. Low 2. Medium 3. High.
Now you need to solve this ticket. You would analyze the problem and identify that the SP configuration has to be done for the new plant.
You would request a transport for DEV CLIENT to BASIS. You do the change and Request one more Transport to BASIS for QA client. The End user will test the same by creating a sales order for the new plant and approve it.
Finally, you request a transport to move the changes to PRODUCTION. Once the change is deployed in production the TICKET is closed. What I have given is a small example. You would get some real issues with severity HIGH in your day-day support.
Good Luck and thanks

classification of tickets (issues)
could u plz eplain clearlyHi Rajesh,
The classification of tickets based on client.
For example
Classification type - Description
1 Critical -- need to resolve with in 2 hours (Huge loss in business)
2 medium - needs to resolve with in a day
3 average - needs to resolve with in 36 hours
4 Minor - needs to resolve with in 72 hours
Some clients will be giving as 'severity' (purely depends on client)

Service ticket issue navigation issues
In CRM 4.0, when the standard HELPDESK icwebclient profile is used, after confirming the bp, when I click the service ticket link on the navigational bar, it navigates to the service ticket view where it shows 4 level of classification dropdown boxes.
In CRM 5.0 SP6 or SP7 (i cannot remember), I used the same standard HELPDESK icwebclient profile and did the above same steps but it navigates to the view where it shows the subject and reason dropdown boxes instead of the classification dropdown boxes.
I looked through the XML file in both CRM 4.0 and CRM 5.0 and both navigate to SrvTHead.htm page.
How do I need to do in CRM 5.0 such that when I click on the service ticket link on the navigational bar, it will go to the view where it shows the 4 level of classification dropdown boxes?
Thanks!Hello Edward Lee
I have the same problem that you.
In CRM 5.0 (i don't remember the SP), I copied the standard HELPDESK icwebclient profile, after I have created a catalog, a code groups, code group profile, a subject profile and at the end I created a categorization schema. When I go to the service ticket in the IC Web Client, after confirm an account I show the subject and reason dropdown boxes instead of the classification dropdown boxes.
What did you for solving this problem?
Can you help me, please?

Mary

Issuing Ticket By an Employee in Travel Planning
Hi All,
We are Implementing Travel Module using EhP2 and have a requirement of allowing employee to Issue Tickets on thier own and also print E Ticket. I searched SAP help and found that in SAP we can configure the automatic Issuing of Tickets using queues and also that an employee can print the ticket using 'viewmytrip' site.
I wish to know what configuration needs to be done for automatic Issuing of tickets and how can we get print the E ticket from SAP system
Please let me know ASAP as this process will be a real show stopper for our project..

Issuing a Ticket
Prerequisites
The ticket can only be issued once the travel plan has been booked (see
Booking Travel Services).
Use
Automatic Ticket Issue
Generally a booking made using SAP Travel Management will automatically
be sent to a processing queue of the travel agency connected with the
company, whereby the travel agency can see that the booking has been
completed and the ticket is then issued. When completing this automatic
queuing the booking is sent to the queue of the sales office that is set
up with the processing type "Booking/Booking Modification in Customizing
(see Customizing for Travel Planning under Master Data -> Control
Parameters for Travel Planning -> Define Resubmission for Ticket Issue
(queue) You should use a queue for an operating sales office, and not
the queues for the virtual SAP Travel Planning sales office.

SSO with Logon Ticket to non-SAP Unix based application
Hi all,
Anyone has implemented SSO with Logon Ticket to a Unix box ?
We need to achieve Single Sign On between our EP5.0 SP5 Portal and a third-party web application with a front-end on a Unix AIX machine with Apache.
We achieved SSO with non-SAP applications with Logon Tickets, but one was to an IIS system in another domain (we therefore used the standard Web Filter for IIS and declared it in usermanagement for cross-domain support) and another one running on Windows platform (we used the C libraries provided in the "Logon Ticket Toolkit": NT or Linux only).
From what we understand and found on the web sites, we cannot reuse any standard web filter (none for Unix, am I correct ???) and want to implement custom code using SAP libraries, if possible using Java
-> Are there any Java libraries that are available to both:
. verify the logon ticket with the deployed Portal public key
. decrypt/extract the authenticated username from this ticket ??
I've seen a mention of Java libraries, and Unix, in a SAP EP 6.0 document but I'm not sure where to find them...
Is the SAP Logon Ticket issued the same way in EP 5.0 and EP 6.0 ?
I managed to find something called SAPSSOEXT, for AIX, which contains some partial library and a sample, but it is dated 2000 !! Anyone has more information about this ?
Any hint is very much appreciated.
Thanks a lot
OlivierCheck these links for reference regarding AIX and Apache using X.509 certificates:
http://publib16.boulder.ibm.com/pseries/en_US/aixbman/security/cas_pki.htm
And just using cookies -
http://forums.devshed.com/archive/t-105611 (perl based)
You can also use mod_ssl built into your Apache to facilitate both certificate based authentication as well as encryption.
The mod_ssl route is most secure (because of the encryption), the IBM link is comprehensive but requires extra infrastructure (LDAP).

Service Ticket - Project Management Add-on
Background: We currently offer a third party e-commerce solution for our clients called Four51. Four51 is integrated into our SAPB1 platform. We provide comprehensive print managment and marketing fulfillment programs for medium and large sized organizations. ( We have 20 associates and about 6MM in sales - size perspective )
1st Problem: In support of about 100 e-commerce sites for our end clients we receive multiple help desk request daily. We have found the B1 core does not quite fit the need to track help desk service request etc....
2nd Problem: In addition to the help desk service ticket issue....we also have a scheduling requirement for our ebusiness group. Example: we have 4 site builds....I need to be able to track the estimated FTE hours to build 4 sites and then benchmark against project completed and actual FTE hours deployed.
Sought solution: Is there a SAPB1 Add-on that will handle help desk service request...and project scheduling....integrated of course to my Business Partner data in B1.....and provide reporting etc....
If there is not an Add-on is there a software solution that is recommended. Any recommendations or information would be very helpful.Hello Dan,
have a look at the ProjectManagement-Addon Solution from german partner MARINGO. (www.maringo.de)
They have a quite good ProjectManagement Solution and you get an Online Ticket Tool integrated.

How to use logon ticket in case of different user id with SAP R3
Hi.
I try to login from EP to SAP R/3 using Logon Ticket but
My problem is that EP, R/3 user id is different.
Is there any method to login SAP R/3 using Logon
Ticket in case of different user ID ?
Regards, Arnold.Hi Arnold,
SAP Logon Tickets issued by the Portal contain two user ids, basically one for Java Systems and one for ABAP systems. See also note 843061 for details.
You do not need passwords for the reference system, if the user mapping is maintained by the user administrator, and the UM property ume.usermapping
.admin.pwdprotection is set to false, see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/fe/d22a41b108f523e10000000a155106/frameset.htm. If you set the mapped user id programmatically, or if you retrieve it from an LDAP server, you also do not need to verify the ABAP password of the user (see https://media.sdn.sap.com/javadocs/NW04/SP12/ume/index.html and http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/0b/d82c4142aef623e10000000a155106/frameset.htm).

Logon issue with Integrated ESS in ECC 6.0
Hello,
We are upgrading to ECC 6.0 from 4.6C. We do not plan to use Portal. PZM3 is not allowed in ECC 6 as 'Screen flow logic' services are not permitted. We had a SSO enabled in the 4.6C system from Win NT using the NT Auth service -- which let users go into ESS services w/o any prompt for login. Currently the ESS services in ECC 6.0 asks for login during first logon after that it doesn't prompt. Can we do the same thing (like that of 4.6C) in the new Integrated ESS(iESS) by using existing tickets issued by Win NT? If not is their any other way SSO can be achieved by not using Portal but by just using iESS? Please advise. Thank you.Hi Kshitij,
SAP note 858138 provides some information about external authentication that is available with SAP Netweaver and points to the related documentation.

Principal Propagation / SAP Assertion Ticket
Hi Experts,
i m planning a synchronous scenario
3rd party (SOAP) -> PI -> SAP ECC (RFC)
PI is on 7.1, ECC on 7.00
I would like to run Principal Propagation. At the moment i m struggling with Assertion Ticket to be issued by the SOAP sender. From [SAP Help: Princ Prop / Configuring the Sender|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/EN/45/3418a0eabe072fe10000000a155369/content.htm]: "The SOAP client itself must be able to issue SAP assertion tickets."
- Does that mean: if the sender is a non SAP system Principle Propagation cannot be implemented?
- Or is there a way to issue the SAP assertion ticket from 3rd party SOAP sender?
- If yes, how does that work?
I found two interesting threads:
[Principal Propagation SOAP - XI - RFC Scenario |Re: Principal Propagation SOAP - XI - RFC Scenario]:
I do not understand Swarups answer 100%. He wrote: "Here you need not have to do anything on SOAP sender side to create the assertion ticket. The assertion ticket is required on SAP side which will act as Web AS ABAP Server"
Can anybody illuminate that? Is he right?
[Issuing SAP assertion Tickets |Issuing SAP assertion Tickets]: The last post of Anthony stayed unansered, unfortunately. "How does the sender system do that? Is it somethign embedded in the header of the SOAP message? This really is unclear to me"
Thanks for your help,
UdoHi Udo,
> - Does that mean: if the sender is a non SAP system Principle Propagation cannot be implemented?
Principle propagation supports XI, SOAP and RFC adapters.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/45/0f16bef65c7249e10000000a155369/frameset.htm
Before using the principle propagation you have to active the configuration, but you can only activate the configuration if you have kernel patch 149 installed.

Hi all ,
Could some advice on this .I have some issues with SSO with logon tickets .
My landscape consists of
- EP 6.0 SP on WAS J2EE 6.0
- ECC 5.0 SP7 on WAS ABAP 6.0
I am trying to do SSO between portal and ECC , where in portal is the ticket issuer
and my ECC accepts the ticket . Follwing are the steps I have done .
1. From keystore Administrator , I have downloaded the verity.der .
2. From my ECC system , run STRUSTSS02 transaction and done following activities
a. import the verity.der into certificate area ( selecte dfile format as binary )
b. Added certificate into PSE
c. Add to ACL ( here I have selected my portal SID , client
as 000 ( Do is need to give a different client ???...)
d. Saved everything
3. Then I have created a system object for my ECC system , given all the connector parametrs,
user management as logon ticket and created an alias too .
But when I tested is is failure
I have also created a JCO destination under the webdynpro content admin and selected the
logon ticket as the option , there also the test fails
Could any body advice what am I doing wrong ?
