Ticking/popping noise while talking on phone...

I know some people are experiencing this but I'm wondering if my problem is different. This noise only occurs while on wifi. I have tested it many times and when I turn wifi off the sound is gone and when I turn it on it's back almost immediately! Is there some kind of interference going on? I called apple and they said wait for the next update to see if it fixes it.

anyone experienced this??

  • Broken Macbook Pro/charger. Popping noise while charging.

I've got the latest Macbook Pro, and while it was charging I heard a popping noise from what I'm pretty sure was the charging port while it was connected. I didn't think anything of it at first, but then I found that my charger wasn't working. The light was not lit on the charger and my laptop didn't recognize that it was connected.
I do not have another charger so I don't know if it is my charger or laptop that is broken yet, but does anyone have any experience with this sort of thing?
    Thanks for your help!

Please make a Genius Appointment and take it in for service. I assume it is still in warranty.

  • Phone mutes or goes to speaker while talking on phone.

While on a call the phone will either mute or go to speaker while talking. I believe my ear or face touches the screen.

If you don't have a case or screen cover that might be interfering, it may be a defective proximity sensor on your phone. It is not a problem on all 5S iPhones. Apple sold 34 million iPhones in the 4th quarter of last year alone and a few had a problem. When you look at message boards like this, mostly all you see are problems. My 5S doesn't. The phone is covered under warranty -- I would contact Apple.

  • Xperia Z3+ frame bending while talking in phone

Have anybody else experienced that the frame bends while talking in the phone? I was able to bend it back to original form but what will this do to the waterproof seals?

I have experienced the same fault in my xperia z3+. It was very hot when I made a call with it and when I put it down after the call I noticed it was bent. The engineers took 8 days to come back with a very dissapointing "customer damage" decision, even though i was assured by the manager of the store that it was obviously not customer damage. Ive had all the Sony models and have had no issues until this. Have you managed to resolve your own issue with the bent frame?

  • Beeping while talking on phone

I hear beeps while talking on my iPhone 5. The person I'm speaking to does not hear it.What does the beeps mean and how do I turn it off?

The beep I'm hearing is different. A few minutes into a conversation I'll hear a beep (it sounds like the person I'm talking to is pushing a button on their landline phone). This happens even if the person is on their cell. The beep will occur about every minute thereafter. When I ask the person I'm talking to if they hear it they always say no. I've noticed this beep for about 2 weeks now.

  • Popping noise while sleeping

I started to notice a "popping" noise (about 1 Hz) when I got external speakers for my Mac Mini. It occurs when the Mac is sleeping and the external screen is on (but sleeping its own "sleep").
If I disconnect the analog audio out (from where the external speakers take their signal) the popping ends.
If I connect headphones to the same jack, I hear no popping in them.
If I hit the power button on the external screen and power it down, the popping ends. It will not return eventhough I power the screen on again.
If I disconnect the USB cable that power the speakers from the Mac, the popping ends, but returns when I connect again.
Any clue to what this problem comes from? Some kind of ground loop?
    /BE

Seems we've isolated the problem to Electrical at least. Sounds like a Ground loop somewhere.
    See this nice article...
    http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/nov04/articles/computerproblems.htm
Audio equipment which uses a double-insulated design needs no earth connection, and so is less susceptible to earth-loop problems. Such equipment will often use two-core mains cable, which has an oval cross-section, and the mains plug will sometimes use a dummy plastic earth pin, as shown here.
Disconnecting the earth wire inside a mains plug might solve an earth loop problem, but it's a dangerous solution, because you're removing an essential electrical safety measure.
And my best guess at this point is the PSU for the Speakers.

  • Having issues with hitting mute while talking on phone

Having repeated issues with talking on phone and hitting mute or speaker with cheek. How do I get that screen to disappear until needed.

The iPhone includes a proximity sensor that prevents this - if it is working properly.
Are you using a case that may be blocking or partially blocking the proximity sensor?
If you are using a case, try removing the case to see if the same occurs without the case. If not, you need to get another case that doesn't block the proximity sensor.

  • Beeping noise while talking

I often hear a beeping noise like a dialtone when I am talking on the phone. This has been going on for quite a while. The person on the
other end does not hear it. Any resolutions?

It sounds like a notification sound.

  • Email Buzz while talking on phone

I keep my phone on silent/vibrate mode most of the time.
If I am talking on the phone (phone to ear) and I receive an email, the phone will buzz in my ear.
I don't want this to happen. Maybe if I'm on speaker phone, that would be fine, but I don't need the vibrating phone on my ear.
Is this something I can fix? Or is it a programming issue?
    Thanks.

The iPhone contains a proximity sensor which should disable the display when you hold it to your ear.  If it's not working, remove any case or screen protector you have on the phone. They can interfere with the sensor.

  • I was laying in bed, using my phone last night. Without dropping it, applying pressure or anything, I heard a "pop" noise come from my phone, and when I turned on my light I saw that there was a crack across the top part of my screen. What are my options?

I need to know what kind of support apple has for this sort of problem, and if I can get it fixed or replaced free of charge because I didn't do anything to cause it. It just cracked while in my hand.

Take it to an Apple store genius bar and see what the techs suggest.  Some Apple stores in the US are now able to do repairs on the iPhone 5 series, including screen replacement.

  • How to view/send picture text while talking on iphone

I've updated my iPhone 4S to try correcting the inability to receive/send pics while talking on phone but to no avail. What should I do next?

If you are in the U.S. and your carrier is Verizon or Sprint, you can't access the internet while on a call with their network. MMS with the iPhone requires cellular data. You can send/receive an iMessage when on a call while the iPhone is connected to an available wi-fi network.
