Tiff OK in viewer - blurred in sequence

Well, the subject says it all, really!
I created a Tiff using Grab, and when I preview it in the viewer it looks good (well, fine!) If I paste it into the sequence, even after rendering it looks impossibly blurred.
The size of the tiff is 1849x986 - if I reduce this, would it help? What should I use to reduce it - iPhoto?
Thanks in advance.

I know this will sound really stupid, but it works for me in FCP 4.5 when I encounter the same condition; drop a filter on the image - any filter. I use the 3-Way Color Corrector since its always RT preview. You don't need to make any adjustments if you don't want to ... that part doesn't seem to matter. See if t works for you.

  • Viewing PR CS6 sequence on NTSC monitor?

Hi, anyone know how I can view my PR CS6 sequence on my NTSC HD monitor? Thanks!!

Thats why I have never seen it I guess.
Try your preference settings where you can select your Monitors as well as your Black Magic device.
BM device will only show if it is installed correctly.
I had to install (9.7.5 driver) for the CC Version because it was not reconised from previous install (CS6).

  • Oracle UCM/ Large tiff/ Dynamic Word Viewer

    Hi,
    We have a situation here...
We are using Oracle UCM 10gR3. We have large tiffs(>10mb = 1000page tiffs) and we have dynamic microsoft documents. What would be the best document viewer to see these kind of documents?
Is there any viewer comes with INSO drivers plugin to see dynamic MS office documents?
Early reply is very helpful to me and it is greatly appreciated friends...
    Thanks...

    Hi,
I guess, during installation, you have provided as 127.0.0.1. Do you have entry in host file like (127.0.0.1 localhost).
Try by giving host name or IP address for HttpServerAddress in configuration file.

  • View Objects and Sequence Numbers

    Hi,
I am creating viewobject from query statement. I would like to get nextval from my sequence, there is a bug in jdbc, and it increments by 2,
any idea how to correct that and still using data from db ?
    Jacek

Yes, primary key is my reason,
Anyway using DBsequence in ADF I get minus values !!
value from DBsequence in BC JClient, bug ?
(duno if it is problem only in 10.1.3 but that is what I am using)
I know I can use a trigger, but then I have to leave blank field during insert action in jtable (because trigger will do it, right?). I`d like it to automatically insert value from sequence to my id field during insert on jtable. Sounds simple.
My byway is to create a view from query stmt that will get max(myid) like:
    ViewObject vo=MyView("SELECT MAX(my_id) FROM My_table");and
int sample=0When I create row in my jTable I am increasing my Integer+myvalue from view... until commit/rollb... and so on...
But why I have to always go byway...

  • My tiffs open in viewer and then immediately disappear

I use medium format film cameras, and generally have slides scanned to tiffs. iPhoto has no trouble handling these files.
I have made copies of the tiffs (I am not using the iphoto generated files). I can import these files into aperture. I can see the pictures in my stacks. But with a few of opening the file to view and edit, it simply disappears from the screen. This does not happen to files taken with my digital cameras. Tiffs are 4125X3132. File sizes are larger than 37 mb.
I am just trying Aperture now-- I admit I don't know what I am doing, but there is not much I can do to experiment with the image if I cannot view or edit it. I can experiment with files taken from a variety of digital cameras. Aperture 3.03.

For me it had to do with the paper format. When it was in Letter (in the print window), the application froze and quit. When I changed it to A4 (Europe) it worked perfectly.

  • Viewing a specific sequence execution belonging to a TestStand Workspace in LabVIEW Simple UI

    Hello,
I have a TestStand Workspace which contains 3 sequence files : one master sequence which contains PreUUt, PostUUT..And two other slave sequences that are called from the main sequence depending of a given parameter (It means that during a whole execution only one slave sequence will be called).
Using the TestStand Simple User Interface in LabVIEW, I want to show the completed execution screen of the slave sequence file called.
The problem that LabVIEW shows the master sequence at the end of executions which didn't give details about the slave sequence steps' status.

    Thanks for the reply,
I found that the record result is already activated as mentionned.
To make it simpler, supposing that we have a sequence file which contains many sequence call modules, like the example in the attachement.
At the end of the execution, I want to be able to view the status of all steps of "Sequence_2" for example.

  • Scripting to replace a layer in a psd file and save as a tiff for multiple images in a sequence

I have over a hundred images, all the same size, that I need bring into photoshop as a designated layer, one at a time, flatten the image and save as a tiff file with a sequential number, then repeating the process. I have not used javascript before but it seems like it should work. I'm using CS5. Thanks

It is possible to do that via Scripting.
If you are unable to create such a Script maybe you should look up the chapter »Creating data-driven graphics« in the documentation.

  • Blurring in sequence

any reason as to why when i import footage it looks very clear in the canvas but when i render it, it becomes blurry?
    Thanks!

#28 Having to render every clip in the timeline
Shane's Stock Answer #28: When I put a clip in the timline, I have to render it before it will play. Why?
Your clip settings MUST match your timeline settings. If you have DV/NTSC material, you need a DV/NTSC timeline. The frame rate, audio rate and dimensions (4:3, 16:9) all need to match exactly. In Final Cut Pro 6, this is easy, because when you drop a clip into the timeline, it asks if you want to set up the timeline to match the settings of the first clip you drag into it. Click YES and you are ready to go.
However, in FCP 5.1 and earlier, it is a bit trickier.
The most important thing you need to do is properly set up your project from the start, and the best way to do this is to choose a setting from the Easy Setups, located under the Final Cut Pro menu.
Once you do this, you’ll need to create a new sequence. This is because the sequence that is already in your new project is setup for the typical default setting of DV/NTSC, or for the settings of your last project, which might not match what you are currently working with. So delete SEQUENCE 1 and create a new sequence:
This new sequence will contain the settings you chose in the Easy Setup menu, and should match the format you captured.

  • OSD: view running task sequences?

    Hi
Sometimes a reboot of the SCCM-server is needed.
Is there an easy way to see which task sequences are running (live) and/or applications deploying?
    Please advise.

    Jan Hoedt

You could create an overview of your status messages to see if something is running. For an example see:

  • How can I export layered TIFF files for viewing in Preview?

Being an architectural photographer I create a lot of layered files with many exposures with different lights on and daylight separately. I always save my layered files in a folder called Layered files in the project. I also save flattened 8 bit Tif's at full resolution for my client as a print file in a separate folder along with another folder for web and device optimized files. When my client opens some of my flattened files they tell me the only see one layer. When I open some of them in Preview I get the same result. I only see the last layer I put into my layered file. But when I open the same photo in Bridge I see the full flattened file as I saved it. What can I do about that?
    Sherwood

Ah, yes. On the images that did what I described there was a layer mask in the channels drop down that showed only what was shown in the view. I trashed it and all was well.
    Thanks for you help,

  • Viewing HDV sequence / media on Broadcast Monitor?

Is it / or is it not possible to view a HDV sequence or media on Broadcast Monitor via a Firewire Device such as a HDV camcorder?
If so great, if not, what are my options and how can I achieve this?
    VV URGENT
    Thanks in advance.

I had the opportunity to play around with a Sony HDV camera and FCP yesterday. I got the HDV camera's LCD to display media playing on the Timeline and in the Viewer [after changing prefs in Audio & Video Settings > Playback Output > DV-PAL]. From there I did get the audio signal to loop from the camera through to the broadcast monitor, but unfortunately not the video signal [as you both have stated].
So basically what you are both saying / and what I seem to have confirmed, is that I can not check my work on a broadcast monitor when using HDV without an I/O card?
For those of us without an I/O card, we still have fields, saturation restrictions, flickering graphics etc etc to check that will not show up on a Digital Cinema Desktop Preview. I just don't understand why we can not preview this prosumer [HDV] format on a broadcast monitor without purchasing an I/O card??
It would be greatly appreciated if you guys could please respond / correct me if I am wrong.
    Thanks again for your time.

  • Customizing sequence views on multiple PC's

I have customized the execution view of my sequence editor to display test step limits (hi and low), and module execution time.
I would like to know how to "copy" these settings to another test system (PC), without having to go through the manual process of setting up the view on each test station PC?
Thank you in advance for your help.
    Jim

What Adam posted will work for a User Interface, if however, you are wanting to do this for the sequence editor, I think the sequence editor saves this setting in the layout
file. There is a current_layout.bin file in the same directory as
specified above. Or you can use the Sequence editor options dialog - UI
Configuration tab to save and load specific configurations. It saves the layout files to a directory underneath the cfg directory (usually either C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\TestStand 4.2.1\Cfg\SeqEdit or C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\National
Instruments\TestStand 4.2.1\Cfg\SeqEdit depending on your OS).
    Hope this helps,

  • Different sequence of Materail Views

    Hi All,
While creating a material maser for a particular material type i need the Views in different sequence
For Example BASIC DATA 1,ACCOUNTING VIEW ,PURCHASING VIEW ,MRP2,MRP1 ,BASIC DATA 2  in this sort of manner its not possible through  OMS2 ,
    please suggest me
    Regards
    Srinivasan

    Hi,
As per the SAP Standard there are some standard views which is applicable to Material types are available as per the Material types in OMS2.
If you need to modify views there 2 options
In OMT3R you need to modify the Standard sequence 01 and can include the other views which is avaiable.
then in OMT3B you can modify the main data screen & sub screens.
then in OMS2 you will get the additional views to include in your Material type.
Otherwise you can take a help of ABAP consultant to include the addtional views through the modification in the Program and can achieve it.

  • Acrobat 9 automatically converts .TIFF files to .PDF - how do I disable?

Why is Acrobat 9 opening .TIFF files as a .PDF? I would like it to remain a .TIFF instead of autmoatcailly converting to a .PDF. This happens when I click on .TIFF images on the web, or save them as a .TIFF locally. I've not found an option under preferences that would toggle this. The dozen or so other workstations here do not behave this way (we have to go through a print-to-PDF converting process if we want to convert). Thanks!

Thanks for the fast reply! I checked and confirmed there are no TIFF viewer programs installed aside from Acrobat (and the defaul Microsoft Picture Viewer and Microsoft Document Viewer). Acrobat 9 is the default TIFF and TIF viewer too. Not much is installed on this machine. Here is a screen capture of the programs.

  • How to show all sequences in project folder in CC 2014?

In previous CC version of premiere you could search the project folder for the term "Sequence" and if you were in list view all the sequences in the project would show in the folder they were in. This was great for finding a sequence created by dragging a clip into the timeline then forgetting to move the sequence where I normally store sequences in a "Sequence" folder.
Now when I search for "Sequence" in CC 2014 nothing happens. Is there a new way to display all your sequences in the project?

Ok yeah, I quit and restarted premiere and now it seems to be working again. Thx Ann
