TIGHTVNC CONSOLE BROWSER PLUGIN NOT WORKING

I am having difficulty getting the VM Console-in-a-webpage facility working from within VM Manager. Whenever I click on the "CONSOLE" button I get a pop-up window (that should have the VNC console plugin running) simply with a java message of "Error: access denied (java.net.SocketPermission SERVERNAME resolve)"
This happens whether I use Firefox or IE (I only have access to Windows XP desktops) running JRE version 6 update 7.
Currently I am running VM Server 2.1.2 and VM Manager 2.1.2. I have downloaded and installed the tightvnc-java-1.3.9-3.noarch.rpm onto the server hosting the VM Manager. The oracle documentation only makes mention of installing the (tightvnc) RPM. I found from various blogs that you actually need to sign the vncviewer jar file, with the commands below:
/opt/oc4j/java/jdk1.5.0_11/bin/keytool -genkey -alias vncviewer -validity 365
/opt/oc4j/java/jdk1.5.0_11/bin/jarsigner VncViewer.jar vncviewer
I've tried restarting the OC4J daemon on the management server; rebooting the management server; flushing the JAVA cache on the workstations I've been using to connect to the management server; turned off all security in IE (for all zones). I still get the JAVA socketpermission error.
On the plus side I can connect to a VMs console using a standalone VNC client so I know it does work, however, that is not quiet as slick as connecting using the VM Manager webpages (you've got to know which "port" the VMs console is connected)...
I'm pretty sure it will be something really trivial that I've missed (wrong RPM version, wrong jarsigner syntax, wrong JAVA version, etc) but for the life of me I cannot find anything more either in this forum or out there on the web.
Any assistance would be gratefully received.

Installing TightVNC for Non-Linux Users
After Oracle VM Manager is installed, install the TightVNC-Java applet for non-Linux users to access virtual machines. Download the latest version from: http://oss.oracle.com/oraclevm/manager/RPMS/.
To set up the TightVNC-Java applet:
Install it using the command:
# rpm -ivh tightvnc-java-version.noarch.rpm
version refers to the version of the TightVNC-Java applet. For example:
# rpm -ivh tightvnc-java-1.3.9-3.noarch.rpm
This should work out for you, try it in INternet explorer first, then you will know if it worked.
Make sure u restart after installation of the RPM

1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem.
2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
3. Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. All it does is to collect information about the state of the computer. That information goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. However, you should be cautious about running any kind of program (not just a shell script) at the request of a stranger on a public message board. If you have doubts, search this site for other discussions in which this procedure has been followed without any report of ill effects. If you can't satisfy yourself that the instructions are safe, don't follow them. Ask for other options.
Here's a summary of what you need to do, if you choose to proceed: Copy a line of text from this web page into the window of another application. Wait for the script to run. It usually takes a few minutes. Then paste the results, which will have been copied automatically, back into a reply on this page. The sequence is: copy, paste, wait, paste again. Details follow.
4. You may have started the computer in "safe" mode. Preferably, these steps should be taken in “normal” mode. If the system is now in safe mode and works well enough in normal mode to run the test, restart as usual. If you can only test in safe mode, do that.

If you have more than one user, and the one affected by the problem is not an administrator, then please run the test twice: once while logged in as the affected user, and once as an administrator. Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
7. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste (command-V). The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
8. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "syntax error," enter
exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
9. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, press the key combination control-C or just press return three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
10. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line
[Process completed]
to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report the results. No harm will be done.
11. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
12. When you post the results, you might see the message, "You have included content in your post that is not permitted." It means that the forum software has misidentified something in the post as a violation of the rules. If that happens, please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.

Quicktime Plugin not working in Browers

Hello,
I am having a frustrating problem with my quicktime plugin not working in BOTH Safari and Firefox. When I try to watch my a quicktime link on the web I cannot view it, I get the quicktime icon with the question mark. However, when I log in as a different user and goto the same link I can view the movie. I believe the movie is a mp4.
I have already deleted my quicktime preferences and also tried to boot up in 32 bit mode.
Any suggestions to what may cause this? This must be something that is specific to my user. I have also removed perian and deleted perian preferences.

I have scoured the internet looking for a way to play MP3 files right in the browser window and have come up with nothing. Firefox does not let me set MP3 files to play with the QuickTime Plugin but instead I can only have them play in iTunes or QuickTime after a download. Pretty much same with Chrome and Safari. Neither will let me just play the MP3 right in the browser. Please help!

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

my friends browser is not working tech support told us to download a version of firefox onto disc and download it into his computer. How do i do that without affecting my own browser.

You can download the setup file (Firefox Setup 3.6.13.exe) from http://www.mozilla.com/ - If using IE to access that page, choose Save rather than Run to save the setup file.
Copy that file to a disc or USB flash drive and run it on your friends computer to install it.

Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness shows up, the first thing to try is a proper reboot:
Pre-BB10 Devices ONLY. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
BB10 Devices. Hold the top button down until the counter reaches zero. Wait for the device to be fully shut down (e.g., nothing at all displayed on the screen, no LED lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red LED is lit. Wait through the full boot-up process. If this fails, you can attempt the battery-pull method above, but it is normally NOT recommended unless nothing else works.
See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

Browser is not working, please help.

I have had my Blackberry for a about a month and a half. For the first few weeks, the browser worked fine and everything was great. But now, the browser does not work. My email, facebook, twitter, etc. all still work fine, but can not access anything through the browser. Does anyone know why this might be? I know I should take it to the company store, but I live in a Spanish speaking country and don't speak great Spanish.

I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB):
1) Register HRT
Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > (it does not matter which line is current) > Register Now
2) Resend Service Books
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
3) Batt Pull Reboot

Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then please provide exacty symptoms of what is going on..."not working" doesn't really give us much to go on. Is there an error message of some sort?

The pop ups are malware. It's not necessary to reinstall Safari.

Just so you are aware, on a Mac running Mavericks, the only way to reinstal Safari to to restore OS X using OS X Recovery

NIK plugins not working with LR4.

Installed LR4 and then NIK software plugins not working. Get the error "bad argument#1 to 'lower' (string expected, got nil).
Downloaded the latest updates from NIK and have same error.

Quick look 3rd party plugins not working

The 3rd party plugins not working. Illustrator, Folder view, and quark are the three I use. They worked nice in 10.5.x Tried /Library/quicklook/ tried /user/library/quicklook/ even forced into system/library/quicklook/
Anybody else use these or any other 3rd party plugin?

I can confirm that Folder View plugin no longer works. the developer discusses it here

Classic 2700 browser is not working

since 15 days my browser is not working i am not able to open it rest of the item is openning but the browser is not openning please hel me in this regard.

Just try this. Goto write a text message . Write a web address in it. Ex. www.opera.com then save the message. After that goto that message and use details in it. Select use web address and goto above address. Then your phone browser will open.

Creative Console effects do not work

I have an Audigy SE with latest drivers, windows 7 64, and I'm using headphones
When accessing the Creative Console Launcher, the volume control, eax, everything has no effect on my sound, and it is clearly labeled 'headphones' at the top.
If I go to the Audio Control Panel, it has EAX functions that DO work, though, there are no bass adjusting functions etc.
Clearly, the EAX etc works, though it and the other features do not work in the Console Launcher, so I hope there is a way to fix this~
I even tried installing <a rel="nofollow" href="http://forums.creative.com/t5/Sound-Blaster/SB-P7X-Series-Support-Pack-2-0-07-3-2009-AudigySE-Value-LS/td-p/53329]daniel's[/url] driver, still the same issue.

Browser function not working

Hi I'm using the trial version of PP cs 5.5 and my trial has only a few days to go. It has gone okay except that the browser has not worked since about the 5th day. I've been using the bottom of the source section to browse but obviously if I'm going to purchase the full version then I want all the major functions to be operating. I've asked this question before but received no responses. I'm using a Dell optiplex 960, 12gb memory, 64-bit windows 7, Intel 2 quad processor,

My browser does not work

Hi All,
I have a lenovo 3000 N 200 Series laptop and am facing a very peculiar problem. I installed the latest driver set that was available in the lenovo Driver set (17-04-2009) along with some windows updates and now my Internet browser is not working. I tried Firefox too but yielded the same result. However all my chat clients are working..Gtalk, Yahoo Messenger,Skype and Windows Live !
When i re-boot,Vista tries to install some updates and eventually on boot up gives messages like Java Platform is not working and Symantec framework (Norton)is not working.
Can someone please help me atleast find out what the problem might be ----

It sounds like Norton is broken. I would remove it and see if the browsers work. If so you could reinstall it.
If you do not have too much information on the computer yet you could do a full recovery which would completely reinstall everything. This may avoid more problems later if the preloaded windows is somehow corrupted.
