Tile Layout in Portfolio - Acrobat X

Acrobat X displays Acrobat Packages in a custom Layout 'Tile'. I find this more attractive than the standard 'cartoony' layouts available. Anyone know where I can download this custom layout from to import to my options? (there is still nothing in Acrobat Users 'Exchange'). OR Why the heck is it not already there for a new portfolio, given that it must be hiding somewhere in the code?

If you tell your user that the links are actually there, they can take the files out of the portfolio - and then the links still works.
The above was written in 2012 - does anybody know if it is still not possible to have the links survive in the portfolio?

Tile layout button not showing.

Hello all,
I am trying to set my home view (wcc_lam_home, leasinghome.do) to a tile layout, because our users just want to see a 1-column layout instead of a 2-column layout.
In customizing I added this overview page to the table "Registration of Overview Pages for Tile Layout", but when I open the configuration page for this view in the webclient or the workbench, I do not see a Tile Layout button.
Anyone who knows why I don't see this button? Anyone who knows where I can find the coding that should control the display of this button?

It could be that the image has gone missing from the server. In a region's Region Header or Region Footer, add in:
<img src="#IMAGE_PREFIX#themes/theme_3/button_xp_center_FFFFFF.gif" alt="" width="4" height="24" />Do you see the image?
#LINK# is created from the button name, usually as: doSubmit('BUTTONNAME'). #LABEL# is the label you have set for the button. Neither should affect the image display as that is actually part of the TD tag itself.

Tile layout of assignment blocks in Z component

Hi.
I created one Z component with several views displayed verticaly as assignment blocks. But now I would like to display some assignemnt blocks in tile layout (side by side). I know I could use View Set to display certain views side by side, but that is not good enough, because this views are then still displayed as one assignment block.
So my question - how to enable "tile" layout dosplay in Z component?
Help highly appreciated.

Hide Personalize Button in Tile Layout

Hello,
we defined the Tile Layout for the Overview Page of Component PRD01OV.
There we embedded some custom table views. Everything is working fine.
Now our customer has the requirement that we should hide the Personalize Buttons for the Table Views.
I have tried it in the .htm page of the Table View. If I set the following code at first the buttons were shown two times. The personalizable and showPersonalizeButton Values are working for the second line.

Problem found in Tile layout

In a Tile layout columns and rows are set to 2.
In the content, 6 ImageViews are loaded. And the output displays columns 2 and rows 3.
(note that we had set the rows : 2)
Does this mean the content object will iverride the rows defined.

Acrobat X Pro Missing Grid with File Preview Layout for Portfolios

In Acrobat 9 Pro, there was a Portfolio layout called Grid with File Preview. We use it as our primary layout for PDF portfolios because it allows users to rapidly view PDFs within a portfolio. This was our primary reason for using Portfolios. Unfortunately, this important feature was removed in Acrobat X Pro resulting in clunky and very slow PDF viewing.
Adobe needs to immediately reinstate Grid with File Preview into Acrobat X Pro. Until this happens, I will continue to use Acrobat 9 Pro.
I encourage everyone to use the Feature Request/Bug Report Form to submit this as a Bug. Unless everyone complains, nothing will happen.

Issues with images in Portfolio (Acrobat X Pro)

Hi all,
I am having an issue with my portfolio file in Acrobat X Pro. I insert images from my hard drive, then proceed to give them display names and tags. This works fine, but then the next time I open the file, some of the pictures have become broken links. For those, the filename has been changed to the same as display name, even though I did not make that change. Once this happens, I seem to be left with no other choice than to reinsert the image and retag it and hope it doesn't happen again.
Has anyone else run into this issue? Is there a way to prevent this from happening? Thanks.

Java is a different animal than JavaScript.
PDFs use JavaScript and not the Java programing language.
As mentioned the apps on the iPxd, iPhone and android devices do not show the bookmark panel. The user needs to open the option that looks like an outline and the bookmarks appear like a table of contents for a book.
The show pages and bookmarks only works for full computer, laptops, and netbooks with the Acrobat or Reader programs or similar programs, not apps for tablets and phones.
Do you have a smart phone or tablet to test your PDFs on?

Portfolio Acrobat 8.0 vs. Reader 9.0 problem

I have a pdf portfolio that I created in Adobe Acrobat 9.0 Pro and I am sharing it via an internal intranet site with co-workers. For the co-workers that simply have Reader installed theres no issue, they upgrade to Reader 9.0 or above and it opens. The problem I have ran in to is when my users who have Acrobat 8.0 installed try to open the pdf and even though they have upgraded Reader to 9.0 or above, by default the pdf is opening in Acrobat 8.0 not Reader 9.0 and giving them a message that they need to upgrade their Reader to 9.0 or above. As a work around, I have them right click and choose "open with Adobe Reader 9.0" however this really is not ideal to expect each user to do. Is there a way to set the portfolio to auto-open in Reader without having the user set Reader 9.0 as their default because typically my users that have Acrobat would prefer to use it for other pdfs? Or any other ways to fix this problem?

Where the Version interoperability table shows "Allowed" a user is good-to-go.
Other combinations are problematic.
Specifically, your co-worker's install of Acrobat 8 / Adobe Reader 9 *will* result in one &/or the other not always exhibiting "design behavior".
If the individual needs Standard/Pro (Acrobat 8) then their box needs Adobe Reader 8, not 9.
jmo - but, if features of Acrobat 9 (Portfolios, etc) are used the user would benefit from a step up from Acrobat 8 to Acrobat 9.

K, So I have created portfolios on Acrobate Pro and now when i click on a file in a portfolio i get kicked out of Acrobat. It automatically closed and asks me to send a message to Apple. I called Apple and they said it was my Acrobat? Does anyone know what the problem is this is so frustruating I have Acrobat Pro 9

Tools menu in Portfolio - Acrobat X?

I'm really new to Acrobat Pro X.
When I open a portfolio, the Tools menu is not available. The only way I can get to it is to open one of the documents. What I'm actually trying to do is run a javascript against the portfolio itself (to list out the files), and I can't figure out how to do that. So, I guess I have 2 questions:
1. Can I get to the tools side menu in a portfolio?
2. How do I run a javascript against a portfolio?

Acrobat X Standard does not include most of the interactive object tools. You need to use Acrobat X Pro for those features. Kindly check the comparison matrix at:

How to read images from local hard disk and display in tile layout

Dear Folks,
I have 100 images in a folder @ local hard disk (E drive).
I would like to display them in Tile view of 3X3.
I have options (Radio buttons) to chnage the layout at runtime to 4X4 , 5#5 and 6X6.
Also when the change in layout happens, I wanted to make use of backgroudLoading of image view so that user do not want to wait till the entire tile loads.
How do I achive this requiremet?

How to center items horizontally in a tile layout?

say i have a bordercontainer with a group with a tilelayout in it:

Layout 2in1 mit Acrobat Reader

Ich möchte ein pdf file im layout 2in1 ausdrucken. Dh. zwei Seiten verkleinert auf ein a4 blatt.
Ich finde auch die Einstellungen, wenn ich aber drucken will (auf HP Laserjet 5) kommen nur 2 ganz normale a4 Seiten.

Vom Reader gibt es hierfür keine Unterstützung :-( . Ein weg über den Distiller wäre möglich, wo man dieses Feature hat.
