Tiles on home page gone :(

when I opened my firefox there were tiles that were links that I assigned... bank, netflix xfinity... Now they are gone and I have no idea how to get them back. All I had to do was right click on the screen and add the url... now... nothing!!!!
Please help

Could you check whether it was Firefox's built-in "new tab" page? That should display when you type about:newtab in the address bar and press Enter.
If it was that one, you can make it your home page using the methods in this article: How to set the home page.
If it was NOT that one, you might have been using an extension with a name like Speed Dial or FastDial to build that page. I don't see anything like that listed in your More System Details, so I'm not sure which one to recommend.
Or you may have been using My Yahoo or another website as your home page. If you check your "most visited" pages, maybe it's one of those? You can check the "Most Visited" entry on the Bookmarks Toolbar or Bookmarks Menu (I can't remember where it normally appears).

• XE Database home page gone after APEX 3.2 upgrade

I just upgraded the version of HTMLDB/APEX on my XE database from 2.0 to APEX 3.2. All went well, however, the database home page seems to have disappeared. When I go to Start|Programs|Oracle Database 10g Express Edition|Database home page, I now get the APEX start page. Does the upgrade blow away the Database Home Page?

Hello:
This is expected. If you decide to upgrade the Application Express within your Oracle Database XE, you will lose the Oracle APEX interface to perform some of your database management functions. This includes the ability to create and alter users, set database parameters, etc. To perform these functions, you will need to use either SQL Developer or SQL*Plus.http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/html/3.0.1_and_xe.html

• Where has the 'home' page gone in FF4?

I cannot seem to see the 'home page'

If you are looking for the home page button, it has by default been moved to the right hand side of the navigation toolbar. You can move it if you want - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/How+to+customize+the+toolbar

• I want google back on my home page. I want "ASK" GONE!!!

I keep trying to make Google my home page but the stupid "ASK.com" keeps coming back. I want ASK GONE and I want google back.
== This happened ==
Every time Firefox opened

According to your User Agent at the bottom of your question, you have the Ask Toolbar installed:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.6) Gecko/20100625 ~~red:AskTbBCPA~~/3.8.0.12304 Firefox/3.6.6
Some freeware sites partially finance the cost of their site by including "optional" additional items. Always be careful when downloading and installing such items. In some cases, you have an <u>opportunity</u> during the installation process to UN-check the optional item(s)--<u>LOOK for such items</u>.
If you have the Ask Toolbar
(looks like this: http://sp.ask.com/toolbar/install/web/ask/download.php ),
here is how to uninstall it: http://about.ask.com/apn/toolbar/docs/default/faq/en/ff/index.html#na4
NOTE: perform the removal with Firefox closed.
You <u>may</u> need to review/reset a your home page settings after the un-install.
See: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/How+to+set+the+home+page
You <u>may</u> need to reset a preference after the un-install if you are being directed to "Ask search" when when typing, for instance, microsoft, in your URL/address bar:
-Enter about:config in the address/URL bar and press the Enter key

I have gone to 'options' many times to set it to always open with my home page, but it continues to open with the tabs I had open when I closed Firefox.I there a problem with Firefox 30.0?

You can check if you have a user.js file in the Firefox profile folder that sets the browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once pref to true.
The user.js file is only present if you or other software has created this file and normally it wouldn't be there.
You can check its content with a plain text editor (right-click: Open with) if you didn't create this file yourself.
The user.js file is read each time Firefox is started and initializes preferences to the value specified in this file, so preferences set via user.js can only be changed temporarily for the current session.

• My personalized home page is GONE. Why can't I get it back & get to Gmail. I get 404 error

When I updated to firefox 6 my home page came up www.encryptedgoogle.com. All my gadgets are gone, I can't even get to gmail. I "get problem loading page" or "404 error".

When I was downloading a game, it gave me a new home page. My firefox home page is gone. I'd like it back. I won't mess around with those game things again.

Firefox determines your current locale and presents pages in the local language.
#You may need to (re)set the pref general.useragent.locale to the preferred language (e.g. en-US or en-GB) on the about:config page. See: http://kb.mozillazine.org/General.useragent.locale
#*You can open the about:config page via the location bar, like you open a web site.
#*Use the Filter bar at the top of that page to quickly locate the pref.
#*If you travel frequently to other language locales, you may want to try this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1333/
#If you have the Firefox user interface (menu bar) in the wrong language then you can get the language version of your choice here: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html
#*Reinstalling Firefox won't affect the data in your profile folder (e.g. bookmarks and cookies and passwords), but make sure that you do not choose to delete files in the profile folder in the uninstall window.

• The home page short cut with the little house on it is gone with Firefox 4. You can only go home with the History feature or reload the page from desktop shortcut. A big shortcoming in my opinion.

Hey guys..you used to have a home page shortcut on your toolbar in the past. A little picture of a "house" Now it is gone, gone. The only way I can get to the start page is with the "History" tool or going back to the icon on my desktop. Right now, I would rather go back to the older Firefox that had a Home page short cut. ha

The "Home" button was moved to the right-side of the Navigation Toolbar. <br />
The "Reload" and "Stop" button are on right-side of the Location bar, combined into the same space as the "Go" button; whichever button is appropriate at any time is what is displayed. The "Go"button when you are typing in the Location bar, the "Stop" button when a page is loading, and the "Reload" button when a page is fully loaded.
If you want any or all of those buttons in their former location, as they were in Firefox 3.6, you can Customize your Toolbars and put them where you want them. <br />

• Firefox will not keep igoogle as my home page. I have done all of the steps to do so but every time I log off and then comeback, google is gone. This is a new problem; igoogle on Firefox has been my homepage for years.

iGoogle has been my homepage for years. All of a sudden when I logon I now get the Firefox welcome page not Google. I have done all of the steps Firefox indicates to make iGoogel my home page but it keeps reverting to Firefox after I logoff.

• Will not open up with the home page I have specifed on navigator toolbar I have gone through all the settings but it reverts to another home page when I restart the PC

I want my page to open up with google which it has until lately when I downloaded jzip and since then it always opens up with http://search.jzip.com/ instead of http://www.google.com.au/ When it comes up with jzip I change it to google and request it to be my home page and it stays that way till I restart the pc and it reverts back to izip and I have to go through the same process to change back to google, it never used to do this at times when I have down loaded information it has changed but I have always been able to revert to the correct home page and it stay that way but not any more.
The jzip is in the navigator toolbar section as are other websites but this is the only one that keeps being used as the home page hope you can find a solution as it is very annoying.

You can open the <b>about:config</b> page via the location bar and do a search for <i>jzip</i> via the Filter at the top of the about:config page.<br />
You can reset all <i>jzip</i> related prefs via the right-click context menu to their default values.

• How to set multiple home pages, the option is gone (replaced my hard drive and had to reinstall firefox) This version seems to only offer tabs, not pages?

My old version of Firefox had the option for me to set multiple home pages. My hard drive recently failed and had to be replaced, so I had to install the newest version of Firefox. The only option I see when I go to tools, options, general is to set the one home page. (and maybe tabs) I would like to open several of the same pages every time I open my Firefox. Does anyone know how to get this back, or which version had this feature so I can downgrade to that particular version?
Also, I was wondering if there is a way to get the bookmarks I had on the old version back. I think they are lost forever, but if anyone knows, I would be thankful. I do still have the old hard drive, but the way it failed was actually when you tried to open any browser, the hard drive would go and blue screen, this is why the old hard drive had to be replaced. Thanks. :)

So you mean you want to open new windows with the same page when you open Firefox?
Set more than one website as your home page should help if you want to open multiple pages when you open Firefox.
As for recovering your bookmarks, you can try to plug that hard drive into a working computer, and then read Recovering important data from an old profile to copy your bookmarks from it. However, if it is failing you may not be able to do that.

• After closing firefox, the next time I open it my homepage has gone back to the default homepage and not the one I tried to set as my home page.

I've tried multiple times to set my home page to Yahoo.com
It works as long as I have Firefox open, but if I close Firefox and then re-open it, the home page has reverted back to the default home page, not the one I set.
This has not happened before updating to 3.6.10.

There are several possible reasons for it being reset, for details see Preferences are not saved.

• Firefox 4 does not start up to my selected home page, and 'work offline' is always checked. I have gone into general tab, start up and ensured that my home page is selected. It is, but problem hasn't changed. I can't do a complicated fix.

Since upgrading Firefox 4, at start up I receive a 'problem loading page' message, which states I have 'Working Offline' checked. (I didn't check it) I go to menu and uncheck it, there are 3 tabs loaded, all the Monzilla welcome pages (congrats you have upgraded etc etc), and NOT my home page. If I hit home icon it takes me to my home page, but this is a pain in the neck. I am not tech savvy so please do NOT suggest a complicated fix. I would prefer to go back to 3.6 if possible, unless there is a simple solution to this problem

I fixed it!!! Following advice from similar posts, I searched the hard drive for "sessionrestore.js" in my Firefox Profiles folder (you'll need to enable viewing of hidden files in Windows Explorer (Tools > Folder Options > View (then select Hidden files option) then Apply to all folders) to do this). I then shut down Firefox, deleted the file and restarted - my home page was correct and it didn't try to open my old session! Some other posts suggested deleting everything called "sessionrestore" in that folder, but I didn't need to.
