Tiling while printing is not retaining percentages

I recently bought an HP 6600 printer to replace a cheapo Lexmark printer.
I'm making maps -> photoshop to Illy to print with tiling set at 6-8 pages. When I print on the new HP, the resize percentages are off; so streets, numbers, text, etc. do not line up when pieced together.
This did not happen with the cheapo Lexmark, so I am assuming that it is the printer?
Any ideas on what is causing this and how to fix it?

Printer settings not retained in preferences

Hey Everyone
I need a little help. An error occurs everytime I try to select my Canon MP460 from the printer Preferences menu in the System Preferences window. I click the add button, it shows up with the driver and location filled in the pull down menus/boxes. Then I hit the Add button and a message comes up "An error occurred while tryint to add the selected printer. The printing service is not available."
I have tried holding the control button down and resetting the printer settings. To no avail. I did go to Terminal and type Sudo Cupsd.
That worked and loaded my printer. BUT, after I rebooted the machine, the settings were lost and I received the same error message as above when trying to add the printer again. So it seems I have to go to Terminal everytime I boot and type "Sudo cupsd" to load my printer.
Any thoughts? Thanks (I also trashed the printing preference files (plist) in an attempt to fix this problem, again to no avail.

Fixed the problem. Thanks for reading my question. For those with this problem, I found permissions errors on the org.cups.cupsd.plist file in Launch Daemons, which is strange considering I do not remember touching this file in any way. But after the repair, I opened the System Preferences:Printer and Fax settings. It gave me the error. I used Terminal and typed in "Sudo cupsd" and then my password. This allows the Printer/Fax Settings to be set in System Preferences without any errors. I set the printer as the default in Printer Settings, I restarted and it retained everything.

HP Officejet Pro 8500A Premium 910n wireless operation freezes while printing (and not)

With a Linksys/Cisco E3000 wireless (encrypted) connection the HP OJ 8500A 919n will bluescreen (with a momentary error code) and crash (to a white screen with blinking lights) during printing and at random times. A (5 to 6 min) power off-on cycle is required for the printer to return to a normal state. After many hour with HP tech support, it was determined that the printer will operate correctly via UPS direct connection to the PC and operate correcly as a network printer via wired ethernet connection to E3000 router.
I recommend that users with this unit that experience problems with a wireless connection to the network immediately switch to wired operation to determine if that corrects the problem before calling HP tech support. This will save many hours of "standard scripted" troubleshooting over the phone with an HP tech. Each failed attempt to print that crashes the printer "costs" 5 to 6 minutes performing a "hard" reset and waiting for the printer to recover from a "dirty" (i.e. not a front panel switch induced) shutdown.

Form is displayed while printed, but not displayed on screen (print preview)

Dear all,
We use an Adobe Form to visualise our invoices ... When we print an invoice directly to the printer, everything looks ok and all forms are displayed correctly ... But when we try to watch the same invoice on screen (print preview), we do not see the subform ...
The property "presence" of the specified subform is "visible", so this is probably not the problem ?
Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be ?

Error occurred while printing does NOT happen in internet explorer; reset firefox instructions do not seem to be of use for yahoo edition 1.21version

This happens EVERY time I try to print using mozilla for yahoo. The "help" instructions" refer to something that doesn 't even appear on the screen when i follow them! I shouldn't have to open up the page in internet explorer just to print the web page!

Printing Presets Problem, Not Retaining Settings Assigned To A Preset.

I have a 10.5.8 client computer that is experiencing problems with saved printer presets not retaining the paper tray assigned to that preset. It works for other printers but not this one particular printer. I have tried the following.
1. Repair disk permissions.
2. Delete the troublesome printer presets and recreate them.
3. Reset printing system and re-add printers and recreate all printer presets.
4. Ran Onyx maintenance scripts, cleared caches, etc.
5. Re-applied 10.5.8 combo update.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

In SAP DMS Whatever document that are linked to an Object Such as PO, PR , Material, WBS element, Sales order Item cannot be printed directly.
Mean Suppose if you are Printing PO and want to Print also Documents linked to PO line items , this is not possible in standard SAP.You will have to do ABAP Enhancements.

Web Analysis report is not coming with the border/logo/heading while print

Hi All,
I am using 9.3.1 version of hyperion planning were Web Analysis report is not coming with the border/logo/heading while printing with the option "print all object", Only the data grid is coming in the print. If I use "print screen" it is coming with border/logo/heading but it gives a screenshot of the report, that won't cater out need.
So please suggest us with a resolution to have border, logo and heading, while using Print all object.

In scripts when you will see print preview the logo will be not shown up with clarity.Take the print out of the document and check whether logo is printing up with clarity.

Officejet 6700 error while searching for updates: 'Printer could not connect to server'

I recently purchase the Officejet 6700 Premium. While setting the printer up, I received the error 'The printer could not connect to the server.' I first received this while the printer was searching for updates. I later received the same error while trying to set up ePrint from my computer.
The printer is connected through my wireless router. All other print services function normally. It is connected to the network, and I have printed several times over the wireless network.
Though I don't think it matters, since the on-board print set-up gave me the error, I run Windows 7 64-bit on my computer.

What is the IP address of the printer? What is the make and model of the router that you use in the wireless set up? Is the router firmware up to date?
I would first try power cycling the router and the printer. Turn off/unplug the router and then power down the printer. Then plug the router back in and wait for it to be fully up and functioning before turning the printer back on. After you have both pieces of equipment back on and functioning attempt to connect to web services again.
If still having problems I would attempt to set a static DNS on the printer through the embedded web server (EWS) by entering the printer's IP address into the address bar of a browser on a computer.
Once that computer displays that page click on the Network tab.
Then look in the column to the left and find the Wireless section
Click on IPv4
Then on that page look at the 2nd section that is labeled DNS Address configuration
Change the radio button to the manual option
Then for the manual preferred fill it out and make sure it reads 8.8.8.8
Secondary should be set to 8.8.4.4
Then hit Apply
Read the next screen carefully. That message with the "OK" button below it is one that states to click that button to undo the changes you just made. Just navigate away from that page by clicking on another tab.
Then reattempt to connect to web services.

Error in VF03 while printing "Output could not be issued"?

Hi all,
getting error while printing invoice VF03. Error is "Output could not be issued".
Print privew is coming fine in both side either Smartform or VF03. If I try to print, then system giving the message is Output could not be issued.
How to resolve this problem? Help me out.

Check out put is definded in line item of invoice.
Also check wheter output type is definded or in t.code nact, Application is V3, check which output type is definded for your case billing document type.

Taggert77_: I have never used NetBeans. I only installed it in the bundle as I had read on another post that somehow installing the bundle magically helped another user with the same problem (he didn't know why it worked after that either).
Before XP SP3 I was able to execute .jar file through cmd prompt. Now I am not.

The proper cmd is simply: java -jar soht-client-0.6.2.jar
I did give your cmd a try, and it produced nothing :( (just like the other correct cmds)

Notes App: "Error While Printing"

I have a printer connected to my 2008 Mac Pro via USB; the computer is connected via Ethernet cord to my router. And I have it set up so my laptop can print via wireless.
Recently I have started to get the non-descript error message "Error while printing" when trying to print out of the Notes application. I have to open a blank Text
What gives, Notes?

I am having the same issue. It seems to only affect the notes application and resetting the printer system does not work.
Additionally, the link that Carolyn Samit put up only describes resetting the printer system for Lion and earlier (it's different in Mavricks) but like I said it didn't solve my issues. Neither has repairing disk permissions.
Any other suggesstions?

I am in Elements & keep getting this error when attempting to print "could not complete your request because an error occurred while printing". I also get this error when I select page set up or more options. My printers work with all of my other programs. I am on Windows 8.1

Any *USEREXIT* available to check PGI done or not while printing delivery

My Requirement is
Printing of the delivery ticket (Delivery Challan) should be done only after post goods issue and not before that. Hence it has to be validated before every printing.
So, the customer can be given delivery ticket only after post goods issue and no changes can be done subsequnelty in the system.
Any USEREXIT available to check PGI done or not while printing delivery challan?
Please help me in this regard.

I have checked Functional SPRO setting in T.Code: NACE.
In the Output Determination Procedure for Delivery - against the output type there is a column "REQUIREMENT". U can use requirmenet "1" and then system will issue output only after PGI.
The Code in Routine 1 is as follows -
