Time and date showing wrong time when set on auto since 4.1 update

hi since i updated my 3gs to 4.1 my time and date have changed by about 1 and a half hours and afew days before. i can change it manually but i dont understand why this has happened. has this happened to anyone else?
can anyone help? or am i just best to wait till the next update?

Me too.
Second time I've been late to work in two weeks thanks to Apple ** programming!
First time when I upgraded to 4.1 and the alarms stopped working if they were set to go off every working day.
Then again today when the time unaccountably rolled back to be Sunday the 7th at 5am instead of WEdnesday 10th at 9am. Waiting for the day I'm out of contract on this rubbish so I can switch to a phone with a decent OS!

• Two times and dates show on the first page with an old set under the correct set.

I have a second tine and date showing on the first display page, like a shadow under the correct date and time. This is happenong on my iphone5, but was also there on my 4. Any ideas?

I would go to settings-general- reset all settings, if that doesn't work I'd do a reboot, and finally if I couldn't get that to work I'd do a restore as a new phone.

• Why the time and date is not correct when I save a waveform in txt format, using Labview 6.1?

I am using Labview 6.1 and my operation system is Windows 98. The date/time properties is configured in the Windows (time and date in the control panel is correct). I generated a waveform using Basic Function Generator.vi and saved this using the Export Waveforms to Spreadsheet File.vi. When I opened this file the date and time was wrong. Only the delta t was correct and it did not show the date neither the time, only a float number. How can I adjust the correct time?

Actually, the date/time is correct, it is expressed as seconds since January 01, 1904.
In order to print the string version of the date/time from your file, you will need to write a utility that converts the date/time to a string or series of strings in whatever format you wish. This can be done by reading the first line (I assume that is the line with the time on it), formatting the date/time into a string, and writing over this information in the file.
The waveform VIs were meant to be used internally to read and write waveform data. Any use beyond that should require you to add formatting and other information/data as necessary.

• IPhone 4S time and date keeps resetting, despite being set to automatically do so.

After having recently upgraded my iOS to 7.0.4, my Verizon iPhone 4S has started to re-set the time and date every now and then at random. It does this, despite me having my Settings set to automatically set the date and time based on my location. I have called Verizon about this and all they had me do was to reset my network connections and reset my roaming capabilities...and despite me doing that this morning, the time re-set itself again this afternoon. I have found the only solution has been for me to power off my phone completely and then once on again, set the phone either into Airplane mode for a second - or to just wait until the Verizon signal switches the phone back to being the correct time and date on its own. I have also found that these issues have started to affect my ability to send and receive iMessages, as well. For some reason, when the date/time re-sets, the iMessage option becomes un-selected and I have to manually go back and turn that functionality back on. Anyone else having these same issues? It's incredibly frustrating and I'm not sure what else I can do save for constantly hard, re-starting my iPhone everytime I notice the time and date is out of whack. Also it's hard for me to tell if this is an Apple hardware issue/bug that just needs to be fixed - or something to do with Verizon. Any tips/info would be appreciated.

Try setting your time to manual. This way, the iPhone is the one controlling the time. As you correctly understand, when it is on auto, it is controlled by Verizon and their individual towers. If after setting the time to manual it works, then I would say it isn't a phone issue, but a Verizon one. Do you frequent the same area when this occurs? It could very well be an issue with a particular tower in your area and Verizon would need to check that. If the time goes off again while on manual, then it could be the phone. User troubleshooting is restart, reset, restore from backup and restore as new. Try each in order until the problem is fixed. If it cannot be, then make an appointment at the Genius Bar at Apple to have the phone looked at for hardware issues.

• Time Title is showing wrong time in iMovie 11

When I use the "Time/Date" title in iMovie 11, the time is always 3 hours behind the time of the clip. The time shown in the "Time/Date" Title sreen is definitely wrong by a couple of hours.
I have not found anyting to adjust it, except adjusting the time stamp of the clip to that specific offset, which will corrupt the time stamp of all my clips.
Computer system time and the system time of the camcorder are the same.
Please help to solve this problem

Venkat,
Weird - so it's adding 9 hours to the actual data?
Regards

• Clock looses time and date, Clock looses time and date

Clock losses time & date when battery dies whats my problem?

Well, probably the reason that would happen is that when the iPod is asleep, a tiny bit of the battery keeps the clock alive. If it is completely deprived of all power, that it wouldn't be able to keep that small process going. Just make sure to not let the battery die entirely, and it should be fine. I usually keep my iPod plugged in, but if I can't, I stop using it when I get the 20% battery warning. If you put it to sleep when you get this alert, there is plenty of juice to keep the clock alive in the background for quite a while.

• My IPod's time and date are wrong...

This keeps happening.... Any ideas besides reseting my ipod and losing so many songs!?? I tried deleteing my back up devices but that didnt work either

In that case, copy all your media over to your PC first and then restore the iPod. See this older post from another forum member Zevoneer covering the different software available to help you with this task.

• Can not set time and date fax setting on officejet 4620

Can not set the time and date on Officejet 4620 when faxing. There are no setup options available. The log always shows "Jan 00 00:00 AM".

The time and date setting should be under the setup tools or fax setting in the printer control panel.1. Click the wrench icon on the control panel of the printer.
2. Scroll to Tools.
3. Scroll to Time and date.

• My gradson got ahold of my grandaughters IPod touch and I no longer have a settings button. The time and date on this is wrong. How can I fix this problem.

I need help... I no longer have all of the buttons on my IPod touch screen. My grandson got a hold of it and boom.. The time and date is wrong also, and I have no access to fix this problem. There is no settings button.
Any help would be appreciated.

Assuming that by buttons your mean the icons for various apps are missing, use the Spotlight search feature (double click the Home button and go all the way to the left past the music controls) and search for: Settings. Go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Screen layout and also correct the time inthe Genera settings.
The Setting app can't be deleted or hidden via Restrictions.

• Time and date settings change when phone is powered down (not shut off)..

I recently installed the iOS 8 update and immediately noticed that the time and date settings would change when I powered down my iPhone. I did not turn off my phone, only clicked the button to power down or save power. I have tried all the fixes, suggestions, etc., but I am still having issues. In the power down state, I am able to receive phone calls or texts but when I go into my phone, the time and date will be off. It stops from the moment I click the button to power down the phone. Please don't get this confused with turning off the phone completely. This happens when I click the button for power down or power save, however it is described.
So, how do I fix it? Is the app/software for the clock the problem? Is the battery distribution the problem? For some reason, in power down mode, the clock is not receiving constant power in order to keep accurate time. It stops the moment I click the button. Any suggestions? fixes, etc. I could try. Apple support techs were absolutely no help what-so-ever.

This sounds exactly like what is going on with my phone, http://www.idownloadblog.com/2012/10/19/iphone-5-date-time-glitch/

• Help - EXIF time and date not working correctly

I am a long time Lightroom user and am trying out Aperture 2.1. I like it a lot but I just found a serious problem. I'm importing some old photos into my Aperture library, by referencing the files in an existing folder. The time and date for some of the files gets messed up. When I view these files in LR the time and date is fine. When I look at the "date created" in the Finder, the time is also messed up. For a photo shoot I did in Europe, the time for some images has the right date & time when converted to US time, but for some images it has the right date & time but as if it were in the US time zone. The files are all Nikon NEFs.
Also, when I view the files in the Aperture import dialog box they are in the right order. But when they get imported and I'm looking at them in Aperture they are in the wrong order.

OK, I give up. Turns out that after one successful import where the dates were ok, subsequent imports have the dates messed up again - whether in Quick or Normal mode. I also tried importing to a new collection, and also tried importing after rebuilding the library (via command-option click in the dock). Still hving this problem.

• Time and date reset bug

hu guys, recently ive been experiencing a time and date reset bug, sometimes when i open up my computer it says something like your date is set to (i forgot the exact date but the year is 2001) so i change it back to the correct time and date, im not sure how i got the bug, can anyone help me fix this problem, its beginning to be annoying. thanks in advance!!

Sherwin,
Those symptoms indicate that you need to get your backup (PRAM) battery replaced. If your computer does not retain parameter RAM (PRAM) settings when it is turned off, this generally indicates that the battery needs to be changed.;~)

• Lumia 620 time and date

why does my 620 keep changing the time and date at random times of the day ?

Hi, vicki1979. Have you tried to perform basic troubleshooting steps like rebooting your phone or making sure that your phone's software is up-to-date?
http://www.nokia.com/global/support/software-update/wp8-software-update/
If the issue remains, you can try to reset the phone. However, we recommend creating a backup file to avoid any data loss:
Settings > About > reset.
