Time Based ATD for Deployment

Hi Gurus,
We are having a customer requirement where we want to consider only Stock for TLB which is daily and for giving long term visibility should do deployment for 2 weeks considering Stock+Expected Production.
So we are thinking of Deployment Run Weekly...considering Stock+Expected Production...which will consider that and create Confirmed STR...
And Intend to run TLB daily only on STOCK..........as i understand TLB will club confirmed STR's ....will not look at Stock while STR's ..........
Or Other option Run Deployment / TLB daily...where wanted to have Deployment daily ....where ATR should have time phased ...like for 1 day only Stock and from 2nd day onwards Production Order + Planned Order.....Wanted to have a Time phased ATR kind of Concept

Hi Priya,
Your second option looks very realistic for implementation.
Because when you run deployment/TLB, the load building
will be at a very optimal level based on that day's constraints
and priorities.  Hence running daily looks more predominent

  • Define Time-Based Fields for Cost Centers

    Dear All!
I would like to know , how I'm abale to cahnge the setting

    Transaction is OKEG
    Would be thankful

You can maintain master data for cost centers, cost elements, activity
types, and business processes with time dependencies. You can make
changes at any time for any given time interval. Data storage also takes
place with a time reference. In this way, a master data record can have
multiple database records storing different information.
The smallest interval is one day. To ensure data consistency, you
cannotchange each field daily. The timeframes in which you can change a
field depend on the field functions, which are fixed by the SAP R/3
System and cannot be changed. Master data maintenance includes an
automatic check for each field's time-based consistency, resulting in
individual time-based maintenance for each field.

  • Datagrid / timer based polling for live data

    Hello,
    Thanks for opening my question.
I have a datagrid that is bound to an Array (not
ArrayCollection) that comes from an AMFPHP query.
There is a setinterval timer that updates the array with new
    data every 5 seconds.
Trouble is, when you select a row in the dataset, when the
setInterval timer fires, it loses focus of the selected item. Is
there a way around it? I know FDS has support for subscribing to
updates, but we are a very small startup and we cannot afford FDS
    right now.
Can I be helped? Feel free to post solutions that involve
opensource software that will run on LAMP.
    Thanks for reading.
    -Chris

If you can devise logic that lets you update the individual
dataprovider elements instead of re-assigning the entire
dataProvider, that should do what you want.
I haven't tested this, mind you but, my experience indicates
    it should work.
You would want to compare the new data with the current data,
and to use the appropriate api to update the changed item. It would
probably be setItemAt() for Array collection, for example. Try this
before you re-architect your app, though.
Alternatively, you could just restore the focus after an
    update.

  • Time-based publishing in Web Page Composer

    Hi,
I'm evaluating Web Page Composer (WPC) for a customer and one of the requirements is time-based publishing for web pages and navigation, but I can’t find any information on that subject.
Do you know if it’s possible to set up time-based publishing for WPC pages?
    Thanks
    Martin

    FYI.
I contacted SAP about time-based publishing for WPC pages and unfortunately this feature is not implemented in current versions of WPC. My request has been added to the feature request list for future versions.

  • Pb with time-based disagregation

    Hi!
In my parea ZPA_REG, i have 2 dataview. One is by week and the second one is by month. I enter 100 at month level for October 2007. Then, i go in the second dataview (week level) and i see
    S40  25
    S41  25
    S42  14
    S43  25
    S44  11
My question is about S41 ad S44. For S44, since there are only 3 days for october it could explain the result. But i don't understand why for S42 the value is 14 .
The Time Stream ID (transaction /sapapo/calendar) is based on US calendar. Its calculation type is with gaps.
The storage bucket profile is by Day, Week, Month and year.
The time based disagregation for my KF is type P.
    Can you help me please.
    Thanks by advance,
    LB

    1. check if there are any holidays in that week. looks like it could be 2 holidays there.
    2. zero out all the values in the weeks and re enter 100. sometimes if there is a value already existing it will follow that proportion by default and not your planning area disaggregation type

  • Time-based sample NetFlow

    Hi Guys
I need to enable some of the Cisco IOS XR devices in the network to send netflow information to the collector, but the collector requires receive traffic statistics every 5 minutes from the devices. So I am not sure if Cisco IOS XR devices (12K and ASR9K) support time-based method for sample netflow and what are the guidelines for implement this method in a successful way.
    Hope your support!
    Thanks!
    Marcelo

    Hello Marcelo,
Netflow sampling does not control timer to send netflow stats to collector. Sampling is undetermined variable, it could give impact to the performance depending on how much the traffic is sampled. So, be considerate when setting sampling. According to documentation, for optimal performance, the recommended value is 1 out-of 10000.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/asr9000/software/asr9k_r4.3/netflow/command/reference/b_netflow_cr43asr9k_chapter_01.html#wp2397758831
Export the flow template might do the trick as Jake mentioned. The command is 'template data timeout 60' under flow exporter-map command.

  • Time Based Publishing not supported in WPC

    Hi all,
I want to implement Time Based Publishing for some WPC resources (for example: web articles or paragraphs, ie: not for pages, but resources).
Sadly, it seems that is not allowed. There is the following note: 1310768 - Time Based Publishing not supported in WPC.
Does anyone know an alternative way to achieve this TBP behavior? I thought developing some task scheduler service, or perhaps a namespace filter.... , some help will be thanked!
Question aside: I don't understand why standard TBP is not supported, being a WPC's web article a standard KM resource. Don't you find strange?
    Thanks in advance,
    Best regards,
    Marcelo

In case anyone is interested, I asked SAP about it.
They said that TBP for WPC is only available to pages, and since 7.3 is the only time based publishing feature available for WPC. Beside that, they made clear the difference betweeen WPC and KMC... I supposed (wrong) that WPC was relied on KMC,
So.. I'm really stuck on this.
I'll keep this question opened in case anyone could help or maybe share an idea,
    Thanks in advance
    Best regards,
    Marcelo

  • Time based stacking does not work for 0 seconds

Related to my previous note about stacking DNG with CR2, it appears that selecting 0 time interval for stacking does not work the way I would expect.
A 0 time interval for stacking should mean that all times that are exactly the same (ie. DNG from CR2 file) get merged. This does not happen. It would seem that a time interval of 1 second is required to stack a DNG that comes from a CR2 file together.
So if I have a CR2 file that was taken at 11:23:34 and convert it to DNG, I now have two files taken at 11:23:34.
If I use the "time based stacking" and select 0 second gap, they will not be stacked together.
I need to use a 1 second gap.
It would be nice to see this fixed

    Hi,
I am done with the RFC connections.
The scenario I am going to work with is 'Time Based Reduction'.
Can somebody please explain the process step-by-step from here on.
    Thanks,
    Mohammed Tauseef Ahmed

    hi,
    thanks for the replies.
the step "Start Programs for Generation and Receiver Settingsu201D is taking very very long time for execution(the log shows that the process started on May20,and it is still going on).
Now till the execution of this step is completed,we cannot execute furthet steps. Is there a way that we can execute the other steps or do we have to wait for this step to be completed?
Secondly, on the suggestion to change the process settings, I was not able to make the changes in process settings. Can the somebody kindly explain step-by-step on how to change the process settings.
    Thanks.

  • SPC charts for time-based data?

I'll try to be succinct in explaining what I'm trying to achieve.
We run batch processes, and at various points in the process we take samples and test them. The sample results should be increasing exponentially over the course of the batch. I have data from a lot of batches in x/y format - x is the duration of the batch and y is the sample result. It makes a very noisy but clearly exponentially increasing data set.
What I want is to calculate some control limits that will obviously have to be increasing over time as well. I want to be able to say that, for a current batch, a sample at X time does or does not fall within the expected historical range.
Is this even possible with xMII, either in the logic editor or the iSPC charts?
I'd like to make the same sort of chart for other time-based samples that have more complex trends over the duration of a batch, not simply exponential or linear.

    Hi, Carrie.
Your application doesn't really sound like what I would call an "SPC" chart, but rather, more of a so-called "golden batch" chart.  This type of visualization is used when a production activity should have an expected set of value(s) and/or a shape to a curve.  You would then "overlay" actual values onto this curve to track actual vs. expected and perhaps to highlight deviations.
This can best be done by combining a multiple queries using BLS (one or more queries for the "limits" and expected values, one query for the actual values), and combining/merging them so that the charting engine (either a line/marker chart or an XY plot) sees them as coming from a single source.
With some creativity, you can even have the "outlier" points displayed in another color.  The xMII application team can help you with setting this up - Jeremy may still have a chart template/transaction I put together a while back called "LimitChart", which could be used for your application.

  • Time-based access to WLAN/building for specific users using WCS/ACS

    Here's our situation:
    WCS: 7.0.172.0
    ACS: 4.2(1)
    MSE: 6.0.75.0
For an hour or two each day during an event, we're trying to figure out how to prevent students from connecting to the wireless in a particular building.
All students are in the same WLAN. Everybody on campus uses the same SSID. We dynamically assign users to WLANs based on who they are through ACS. In addition to 802.1x authentication, MAC address authentication is performed by way of ACS to our in-house NAC system, where all students have registered their computers with us. This currently uses the External ODBC Database option in ACS.
    Our contraints:
    - We want them to be able to access wireless at other campus areas during this time, just not in this one building.
    - Faculty/Staff needs to use the wireless in that building during that time. This prevents me from simply shutting down the radios temporarily.
Has anybody attempted anything similar? Anybody have any thoughts or ideas?
    Ethan A. Cooper
    Network Administrator

Currently, IP and IPX extended access lists are the only functions that can use time ranges. The time range allows the network administrator to define when the permit or deny statements in the access list are in effect. Prior to this feature, access list statements were always in effect once they were applied. Both named or numbered access lists can reference a time range.
For the further description following URL for the Time-Based Access Lists will help you.

  • Min max lot size time based for use with SNP and PPDS

Hi all, Is there anyway to set up time based min and max lot sizes? ie we want to have a Max lot size which is small for use with the first 3 months of our plan which starts life in SNP and then converts to PPDS and into blocks for block planning, but months 4 to 36 we want to leave as large max lot sizes as there is no need to have the small max lot sizes for the different horizon.
As far as I can see there is only a material/plant lot size  and Max lot size and no way to have a different setting in a different time period.
    Thanks
    j

    Hi John,
As you know, in the product master, the lot size maintenance is time-independent, so that obviously can not be used for your scenario. As per my understanding, to meet this using standard functionality, you can maintain multiple product specific t-lanes (for STRs) and PDSs (planned orders) with required lot size ranges and validity dates (for short or long term horizon). But, again since the validity of t-lanes and PDSs will not be automatically rolling forward so the updating the validities will be a challenge.
The other option could be to enhance the heuristic functionality at lot size selection step while creating order.

  • RE: Java-based Client for Forte/IIOP

We have deployed an application using JDK 1.1.6,
    Swing 1.0.3, Visibroker 3.2, and Forte 3.0.G.2.
We are also using Forte's Java Interoperability
    Service.
    We have a closely-held client base (i.e. not a
million random yahoos off the internet), so we can
secure a Java port between client and server and
download a fairly significant client. The Java
client is deployed with Sun's JRE (to control the
    environment) with the following configuration:
    2.6 MB JRE
    765 KB Forte.zip
    2.0 MB swingall.jar
    1.6 MB vbjtools.jar, vbjorb.jar
    100 KB application classes
    1) The Swing controls don't interoperate well
with the AWT and Symantec widgets, especially in
an internal frame. They paint slowly on top of
each other, move jerkily, and paint before moving
to the programmed coordinates so it looks silly.
100% Swing controls play well with other Swing
    controls and are reasonably fast.
    2) We used Symantec Cafe 2.5a to paint the
screens, and had some problems with the
setLayout(null) on things like the Swing tab
folder and split panel. Commenting out the line
fixed it, but I'm hoping Cafe 3.0 will fix it (I
have a person installing it but haven't gotten a
    report...)
    3) The initial search time to turn an IOR file
into a reference is an annoying 10 seconds, and
the first method call takes about 7 seconds, but
after that is less than a tenth of a second.
Haven't done any digging to find out why yet.
    4) If we were deploying this as an applet, we
would probably use the IDL IIOP export--when using
the Java Interoperability service, any method call
seems to load the whole 765K across the
line...class by class. Ugly. IDL just gets what
    it needs and is smaller.
    5) Also, if deploying as an applet, we wouldn't
have to download the JRE or visibroker jar files,
and would only download the swing and Forte IDL
generated classes as needed, so it would be a much
smaller footprint than the 7MB above. (Note:
However, we would be at the mercy of the browser
being used by client.) Different strokes for
