Time capture for syncing up Nikon and Canon formats?

Is there a way to set Photoshop CS3 to sync up a Nikon/Mac and Canon/PC systems photos taken same day, same event time? I am wasting lots of time trying to edit things together. I realize this is probably a dumb question. Any help appreciated.

What did the trick for me was that
1. I removed Bonjour from my Windows machine entirely.
2. I rebooted Windows (ignore the failures of the Tine Capsule Agent at bootup)
3. Install Bonjour 1.0.104 from Apple (http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/bonjourforwindows.html) and tick the box to add a desktop shortcut for Bonjour Printer Wizard
4. Create a printer entry by using this wizard
5. Print away
I also had downloaded & installed the newest Canon drivers on my Windows Machine (v2.0) that are only available from their American support website (or atleast not on the European one) (http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=DownloadDet ailTabAct&fcategoryid=357&modelid=11641)
Tested & working on both my MacBook Pro and Windows XP SP3:
- Printing of text
- Dublex printing
- Pictures with picture enchancements (Vivid Photo, etc.)
What doesn't work is the color notifications and all responses.
I haven't tried CD-labelprint yet.
What seems to be the problem is that when you create a printer port in Windows using it's own tools it'll default to the port being in LPR-mode and Time Capsule / Airport Extreme will only accept incoming data in RAW -mode over port 9100. Also the airport wizard uses the Bonjour local name for the Time Capsule (timecapsule.local) instead of an IP-address. Don't know if the name/ip difference has anything to do with the problem thou.

I use a Win7 PC with iCloud and Outlook 2010 for syncing my calendar and contacts. I can enter data in my Outlook Calendar and it will appear in iCloud, but data entered in iCloud does not sync back to Outlook. ICloud syncs to my iphone fine both ways.

I use Win 7 PC with iCloud and Outlook 2010 for syncing my Contacts and Calendar. They have stopped syncing...mostly.
Now, appointments I enter on my local Outlook (iCloud) Calendar goes up to iCloud fine. But, data I enter on iCloud directly does not come down to my local Outlook iCloud Calendar. If I reboot the computer, the iCloud data shows up.
Also, Contacts I try to enter on my Outlook (iCloud) Contacts goes up to iCloud fine, but does not show up in my local iCloud Contacts.
All syncing works with my iPhone.
I have signed out of iCloud on PC. I have stopped syncing and re-started. No change.
I have an .aplzod folder for iCloud. I have a separate Earthlink.net.pst email account in Outlook and a me.com.pst Outlook email account (which I don't actually use) listed under Data Files.
Any help would be appreciated. Curious that Outlook will upload to iCloud but not receive downloads unless I reboot. However, rebooting does not download the missing Contacts.

You've started off with some good troubleshooting steps, so let's see if we can take this a little further and figure out what the issue is with your iCloud contacts and calendars. I have two articles here that will help you troubleshoot this issue a little further, but the troubleshooting steps for both articles are exactly the same, so I will lay those out for you here:
Note: When using iCloud Control Panel 2.0 and later, iCloud Calendar event descriptions in Outlook 2010 do not support text formatting (bold, italics, or underline), HTML, images, or attachments. The contextual (right-click) menu has also been disabled.
If you are having trouble with a PC (with Outlook 2007 or 2010) and iCloud Calendar, try each of these steps, testing after each to see if the issue is resolved:
Verify that you are using a Windows configuration that is supported by iCloud. For more information, see iCloud system requirements.
When enabling Calendars in the iCloud Control Panel, part of the setup process is to copy your Calendars data from the default Outlook ".pst" file to iCloud, and then remove the Calendars from the ".pst" file by placing them in the Deleted Items folder in Outlook. The Calendars data is then stored in the iCloud data set within Outlook so that changes can be pushed to and from Outlook by iCloud. Be sure you are looking for your data within the iCloud dataset within Outlook after enabling Calendars in the iCloud Control Panel. The deleted files can be seen by viewing Deleted Items within your Outlook Folder List. This is not iCloud removing your data; iCloud simply copies your data into the iCloud data set and then removes the local Calendars data by placing it in the Deleted Items folder.
Make sure your computer is online. Attempt to view www.apple.com and iCloud.com. If you can't connect to the Internet, your iCloud calendars and events will not update in Outlook. Click here for more information about troubleshooting your Internet connection.
Open a secure website to test if you are online as is necessary for iCloud Calendar. This also tests if the ports 80 and 443 are accessible. Outlook requires port 443 access to iCloud in order to push and pull updates to and from the iCloud Calendar servers.
Verify that your iCloud member name is entered into the iCloud Control Panel pane. See iCloud Setup for more information about setting up iCloud on Windows.
Completely close and reopen the iCloud Control Panel.
If you recently made changes in Outlook and they are not moving to your other devices or vice-versa, click the Refresh button in Outlook.
Turn iCloud Calendar off and back on:
Close Outlook.
Open the Windows Control Panel:
In Windows 8, move the pointer to the upper-right corner of the screen to show the Charms bar, click the Search charm, and then click the iCloud Control Panel on the left.
In Windows 7 and Vista, choose Start menu > All Programs > iCloud > iCloud.
Remove the checkmark in the checkbox next to Mail, Contacts, Calendars & Tasks, and click Apply. Wait a few seconds, then replace the checkmark, and click Apply.
Open Outlook and test to see if the issue has been resolved.
Ensure the iCloud Outlook Add-in is active within Outlook.
Outlook 2010:
Open Outlook 2010.
Click the File menu.
Click Options in the left panel of the Outlook window.
Click Add-Ins in the left panel of the Outlook Options window.
Look at the list of add-ins beneath "Active Application Add-Ins" and verify that the "iCloud Outlook Add-in" is listed.
For Outlook 2007, follow these steps to verify the iCloud Outlook Add-in is active
Open Outlook 2007.
From the Tools menu, choose Trust Center.
Select Add-ins from the left column.
Look at the list of add-ins beneath "Active Application Add-Ins" and verify that the "iCloud Outlook Add-in" is listed.
For additional information about managing Add-ins with Microsoft Outlook, see this Microsoft support document.
Restart your computer. This may sound simple, but it does reinitialize your network and application settings and can frequently resolve issues.

If I understand correctly, you're wondering if you can use your Time Capsule's internal hard disk both for Time Machine backups and as an ordinary drive. Is this your question?
You can, but Time Machine backups may take longer.
To do it, you should partition your Time Capsule's hard disk to create one volume for the backups and one for other files.

How to program for sync mode batch and immediate

Hello,
I have a program that should run in both sync modes (immediate and batch). The first one works well but when switching to batch I've got a lot of exceptions. So my first question is if it is possible to write a program that runs in both modes. My second question is if there is a how-to that explains extensively what is different between those two modes (in calls allowed in one that are harmfull to he other).

I've written a small demo program that should show the error but the demo program works fine. But when doing something similar in the main program I've got a lot of NullPointerExceptions. I have no idea where to search or what to do to fix the main program.

i did not try this before,check if each application module has its own mode, if so, then try to make two application modules for your project. one of them in immediate mode and the other in batch mode and use them as you like. But you get a problem that each application module has its own transaction.

Apparently Sync Manager is turned off for syncing my contacts and calendar to using Blackberry Desktop Software - how can I switch it ON?

I upgraded to Mac OS 10.9 a few months ago.
Up till then I was happily able to sync mac Contacts and Calendar to my Blackberry Curve 9320 via Blackberry's Desktop Manager (for Mac).
Since upgrading the software tells me to that Mac Sync Manager is turned off. I know it isn't because everything else is syncing.
When I hunt through your support I find that there are solutions for this problem for other Mac OS versions but not for Maverick, so please tell me how I can once again use my business phone happily as I did before upgrading!

HT3728 i want to use my time capsule for back-ups only and not connect it to the internet

I live in digs and with perfectly good wi-fi. Therefore, I simply want to use my Time Capsule for backing up my iMac. Airport Utility doesn't seem to want to let me do this and insists I connect the unit to the internet first.

The TC is really a complex thing to use, when you don't do it as Apple designed it.. and in fact on your iMac an external drive will be cheaper, faster and more reliable than a TC. But I guess you already have it so may as well use it.

I sync videos (.mp4 and .3gp format) and most of the time they do not sync.

Some times they sync and sometimes not. Sometimes they are hidden unless I search for it and open from the search screen. I sync it as a .3gp .mp4 .m4v .wma. I Tunes adds and converts as needed. I Pod touch has at least 15GB free estimated after clicking on the add shows/movies/music on Computer I Tunes to add to I Pod. ITunes is not set up to manually manage.

This is happening to mine too.... I posted a comment and I dont understand why so if you find an answer it would be great if you would let me know

Which Stream Capture for best compression, smoothness, and best overall quality?

Quicktime + Soundflower - choppy but image quality is decent....Unfortunately Quicktime doesn't have any options for fixing those issues.
I just tried iShowU's demo, the playback isn't as choppy as quicktime that was include with my macbook pro, but the delays in recording video might get on my nerves at times. But I prefer not to try every stream capture software's demo out there for mac. I am guessing I will need a premium software....freebies' quality - I am guessing - will also be choppy?
So SnapzPRO or IShowU ??? Or is there better yet?

I use Snapz Pro and even though I've never used the video/audio function (I use ScreenFlow) it may be worth a try. You might also want to test either Amadeus Lite or Pro for audio only. I'm sure that there are a number of other apps out there, but for video/audio capture, I far prefer ScreenFlow.

I have a 500 GB Time Capsule to accompany my Macbook. The Time Capsule connects to my household's existing wifi network and is not connected by a cord to my computer. I went through a great deal of difficulty setting it up, but now it's time to start using it. I just canceled my off-site backup service, so I really need and appreciate your help and advice.

2) Additional file storage
3) iTunes server

You can use it to store your iTunes library. However iTunes will need to run on your MacBook to play the music.

We also tried manually capturing the excise for a goods receipt in R/3
created from a SRM goods confirmation BUT
"BUT in R/3 ECC system, Even if we capture the Excise manually, it is not getting offset during invoice posting."

In your case you have maintained different locations for a vendor using the vendor sub range. Based on the line item vice system received the locations in MIGO. Any have your order will send to single main vendor. VSR allow different purchasing and partner data controls not different vendor. Once you have chose the VSR code in PO item vice FOB locations changed.

Which firewire cable for new MacBook Pro and Canon HV20?

I just bought a new MacBook Pro and want to transfer video from my Canon HV20 camcorder (using FinalCut Express). The Canon instructions say to use a "DV cable" and I've learned that the MacBook Pro only has an "800 fire wire" port. Can someone give me the exact type of cable that I should get (even my local Apple Store couldn't help me).

I'm surprised that the folks at the Apple Store couldn't guide you. You just need a firewire cable with the proper fw400 connector on one end and a fw800 connector on the other. Here's one source for both cables and adapters:

I'm trying to sync more music onto my iPhone but it just says "Waiting for sync to start" and it won't go away or start the sync.

I've tried multiple things but I just cannot get the sync to start!

At some stage is is likely to have been connected to another computer's iTunes. It is now linked to that computer's library and iPhones can only be associated to one library at a time. Linking to a different one requires wiping the phone.
If you used the phone with another computer you owned you can transfer the iTunes library from that computer to this one and the phone will still be syncing with the same library it was before.
If all there is on the phone are items which can be backed up to iTunes and purchases which can be transferred you could do that, then wipe the phone and sync them back.
