Time/date keep changing

In the past few days, my Iphone has been changing from current date/time (January 30 at various times) back to January 1st or 3rd and not the correct time. Is anyone else having this happen?

We have 4 iPhones in the house and they're all experiencing this problem at random. I spoke with an AT&T CSR and she had me do the usual trouble shooting steps but nothing helped. She transferred me to a "Network Technician" who checked the network and said there was "definitely" no problem on AT&T's end and that I needed to call Apple. He may be right since not all of the iPhones in the house experience the problem at the same time. Sometimes, like today, only 1 of the 4 is experiencing the time date problem. We've seen the problem on 3.1.2 and 3.1.3. The phone experiencing it began showing the right time & date before I could call Apple.

  • The TIME & DATE are changing everytime I synch my touch(((( How to fix it

    hi,
The TIME & DATE are changing every time I synch my touch by pluging it into the computer (not if I sync manually).... AND the time is not the same as on my computer...
I searched the INTERNET and a very BIG number of people are having the same problem as me.... WHY APPLE can't do anything about it?!!? it drives me crazy like ****
My Ipod is not jail broken and my current version is 2.0.2
    ................................

I had this same problem when I first got my iPod touch. The solution is simple. When you use iTunes and don't close it when your computer sleeps/hibernates, the time on iTunes stays the same as when you put your computer on sleep.
Try to open up iTunes, and close it when your computers sleeps, and then open up iTunes again and sync your iPod touch. Don't forget to close up iTunes when you put your computer on sleep.
    Hope this helps!

  • When i boot my ibook the clock and date keep changing?

when i boot my ibook the clock and date keep changing?

If the battery is dead (or not installed), this will happen. The solution is to keep it plugged into the adapter.
Also, resetting the PMU may help.

But I still have a problem when I do the following: Settings>General>Time & Date, then the main screen (with all of the icons) is displayed, I never see the time, date screen, it goes back after about 1 second to main screen The same thing happens when I do the following: Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendar>I then scroll to the bottom of the page and I get the main page again. I never get to touch on contacts or calendar, only mail. Please help.

  • Nokia E71, date keeps changing

My date on the Nokia E71 keeps changing. It tends to jump a few days. For example, today (5th March) it has jumped to 7th March. I have the network time on and off, so I don't think it is that.

  • Has the home screen time/date size changed with a recent update?

my time/date suddenly looks huge to me. Kind of jarring I think.
I'm not sure if it's changed somehow, or if I've just never noticed before.
Does this look like the standard size? Is there any way it may have changed??
    thanks
    J

Everything seems large to me. Try an iPhone reset:
Press the sleep/wake button & home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release.
Before you do that, look here: Settings>General>Accessibility...is zoom on?

  • Satellite P100 - time clock keeps changing

The clock on my Satellite P100 keeps changing (running Win XP MCE) randomly during the day while it is powered on.
When I start up PC in morning, clock is similar time to when I switched it off the day before.
I use my PC in my office connected to mains power. For the first few months of ownership I left main battery out of computer because I wanted to preserve it's life. I don't want to run on battery power and go through a charge-discharge process all day long while I am working. I wondered if this might be the problem and now keep the main battery plugged in all the time but the clock still keeps changing.
The clock does not change by precise hours, but to an almost random time sometime before the correct time. Sometimes a few minutes, sometimes a couple of hours.
I have installed and run all the latest anti-virus, spyware etc. etc. and nothing is detected.
Does it look like my CMOS/RTC battery faulty?
This is my work computer and I cannot afford to be without it for more than a day. I also do not want to return it with all my company data on the hard disk.
Anyone know how easy it is to replace the RTC battery yourself (I know it will invalidate the warranty) - I am an experienced PC "builder" and can happily take computers apart etc.
I hope someone can offer some advice. Why don't Toshiba have a support line you can call for help??

Unfortunately I have not fixed the problem yet.
As explained in my original post I am reluctant to take the computer back for repair as a) I cannot be without it and b) it has company sensitive data on it.
However, if it will not invalidate the warranty to put a different hard disk in it, I may do that and then use the recovery CD to put it back to how it was when purchased. Then make sure the problem still exists (to eliminiate software issues 100%) and then maybe take it back to the shop - this solves reason b) above, but not reason a) - Maybe I should just take a holiday!!
Once it's fixed I just put my original hard disk back in.

  • Time & Date keep refreshing in BIOS

    Sorry
I'm new to Toshs so I am sure this is a very easy problem. Keep re-setting the time & date.
It will hold in the BIOS for about a week and then need to be updated again. I'm upgrading the hard drive anyway but don't want to start this without getting to the route of this issus.
    Battery issue?

    Sounds so
I think the RTC (BIOS) battery is not fully charged.
In the user manual you should find details about BIOS battery and how long its necessary to charge it.
I think you should let the notebook running for about 12-16 hours on ac adapter.
Then the RTC battery should be fully charged
    Bye

Don't worry about it, I fixed it. Found out that systemd was not installed properly and that is why the service file error ie gdm.service, all is working well now.

  • Delivery date keeps changing..!

I bought an iMac 21.5 inch on October 16, 2014 via phone.  I made the full payment with my credit card.  Received an confirmation e-mail stating that the delivery date is November 3rd, 2014.  The next day I received another e-mail saying that the delivery date has changed to 22nd of October, 2014.  Since than I've been waiting for the iMac, but have not received it yet!  I made numerous phone calls to Apple Store, Turkey. Guess what they couldn't figure out why my shipment date changed and whereabouts of my iMac!  Finally I received another mail on 29 October, saying that the iMac is on the way and it will be on my hand on November 12th! Still waiting..! And the world largest, biggest and probably the richest company personell can not give me a reasonable answer to my problem! By the way they confirmed that they have it in their stocks of the day of my purchase...!

You're right.  This is a technical site and I shouldn't have posted that message but I had to write about this to someone.. So please excuse my posting.  By the way just to let you know I admitted that they have no reasonable answer and apologised. They even told me that they are ready to make an extra 5% discount or I could make a purchase from the online store equivalent to 5% of the total price of iMac!

  • Fund Availability Date Keeps Changing

I recently sold an item on eBay and right away the payment was pending until August 1st 2015. After taking all steps that eBay and PayPal suggest doing to get the date changed from 1 week to 3 days it still stayed the same. And then once the item was delivered to the buyer on July 23rd the availablility date was changed to July 26th. Today (July 25th) I checked my PayPal account and noticed the date has been changed to August 8th. I'm quite mad about this, I've had no history of buyers refunding/chargeback, I've taken all steps suggested and the DAY before funds are supposed to be available it changes to another 2 weeks until I get my funds. This is ridiculous. I know that they may hold it for 21 days to ensure the buyer receives the item but it's been delivered to the buyer for almost 3 days now and I still haven't gotten my funds. Is there any other way I can get the date changed back to July 26th? It seems kind of scum bagish to tell someone they may have their money one date then change it to 2 weeks later out of nowhere and for no reason. So if there is anyone working for paypal who can change the date of my funds availability back to July 26th that would be highly appreciated.

If you send trackable then normally funds are released when tracking shows delivery + 3 days. If you choose not to send trackable thats fine but you may have to wait the full 21 days.  All in the link. https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/security/ebay-payments-learn-more

  • Time and date keep changing

It started happening a week or so ago. Every time I boot the time is changed. I set the date from the bios but arch shows the time wrong. Also because of this I sometimes get problems during bootup because the partition looks like it was last mounted in the future. Can anyone help me out?

Aside from possible hardware failure, automatic time adjust could be wrong. Try:
    cat /var/lib/hwclock/adjtime
    0.026639 1255063716 0.000000
    1255063716
    UTC
The first field should be a rather low value. If not, delete /var/lib/hwclock/adjtime and reboot.
If this does not help, make sure your hardware clock is set right (see: man hwclock). Make sure your current system time displays right and then issue (as root):
    hwclock --systohc
Finally (or beforemost) check the HARDWARECLOCK setting in /etc/rc.conf. Does it match your system (either "UTC" or "localtime")?
BTW: This problem comes up often. Just search the forum.

  • N79 date keeps changing

One of the issues I face with my N79 is the random date changes. Can't quite figure out what causes it, but it's a pain. It usually jumps forward 5 to 7 days for no apparent reason. Auto time update is off.
    Any ideas?

This issue is for every V30 phones and nokia isn't aware of this major issue....thats why they aren't fixing these bugs!
Mark my posts as helpful if anyone finds it! After all you will make us improve.
Thanks for kudos if you give!

  • OT: date keeps changing

I know this is OT but so many clever people in here...
Can someone tell me why my system time keeps going back to
    year 2000?
The date is correct but the year is 6 years off. I can set it
    to the
correct year but after a reboot it will be back to year 2000.

    Hi
There are some motherboards that do not use a battery they
    use the 12v line
to charge a capacitor. When the PC is off then the capacitor
    slowly
discharges to mainatain the CMOS. Not common but I have seen
    a few.
Normally that problem is a motherboard error, quite common on
    certain makes
of motherboard - which I couldn't possibly name. I cured the
    problem by
    replacing the motherboard.
Your other option is of course the dreaded virus/tojan etc.
    What I always
do is boot the PC from a windows 98 disk, boot to the command
    prompt, set
the correct time, leave it 24 hours running the dos promt and
    then check
    the time.
