Time & date wrong after sync

Every time I connect my iPod Touch to my PC to charge at & sync it, It will lose the time & date settings stored. The time on the computer is right, however. Is this a problem with my iPod or something else? It is about 6 months old (I think), and this started about 2 weeks ago.

PARTIAL CONTACTS DATA DELETED AFTER SYNCING

After syncing iphone 3gs with PC, noticed a portion of my data in the notes field in my Contacts is missing. I tried to re-sync twice and data is still missing. This has never happened before. Please advise.

If your using a Mac then the contacts are saved in Address Book. Depending on how you sync the contacts regardless of whether they are created on your iphone or computer should dissapear when deleted.
From memory in Windows there is a Contacts folder in your My Computer folder so i guess they would be saved there.
I had exactly this issue a couple of weeks back - around the time I upgraded to OS4.
I sync using mobileme and I when I connected up my iphone to itunes I ended up with a ton of old contacts back on my phone - some of which I deleted months ago and were never on my iphone in the first place (but were on address book)!
I also know for a fact that those deleted contacts were not present in Address Book at the time of the iphone duplication so it couldnt have been because they were on AB but not on my iphone - so I have spent a while going through all my contacts and deleting the duplicate contacts of those I used and completely deleting up to 3 of each contacts i no longer use and deleted months ago!

Record Working Time time data missing after save

Dear All,
I have some problem with my ESS record working time iview (CATW). All this while it was working fine until today, after I click on check entries and the save the time data, there is a message showing that the timesheet had been successfully submitted but the time data is missing form the field.
Normally after I click on check entries and save, I can still see the time data there even I logout and login again. But now after I click save, the data is not there anymore.
Any idea what wrong with it?

Time/Date reset after plugged in to computer

Hi,
For the past few days, my IPod Touch (2nd Gen) has re-set the time/date settings any time I have plugged it into either my laptop or desktop to charge. It resets to January 23, 2002, and loses about six hours in the 'time'.
I googled for a solution and someone suggested a workaround was to make sure ITunes was shut down before plugging it in, but I tried that and it didn't fix the issue. The time and date are correct on both computers.
I've had it for well over a year and this is a new problem.
Any suggestions?

What should I change it to? I guess I may not be understanding what you are saying.
I've plugged it into two different computers, both of which are set to the correct date and time, and both of them cause it to revert back to January 30, 2002 and take the 'time' back several hours. It's 8:47 AM here right now, and the Touch has reset to 11:49 PM after having been plugged in.
When I re-set it, I get pop-up notifications for every event I've stored in my calendar since the day I got my Touch in '09.
I did just locate my wall charger and tried it there. That doesn't mess with the time/date, so I'll just use that to charge it if there is no work-around... but I'd love to know what I could do to fix it.

Time/date resetting after shutting down.

I have a 12" 867MHz PowerBook G4 that seems to give me the Time/Date reset error message. The display gives me a December 31st, 1969 date and after a few minutes, it reverts back to the proper time. Any ideas?

Normally, this would be an issue with the internal PRAM backup battery, but 12-inch PowerBooks don't have one.
Have you tried to reset your PMU? This article describes how to do it: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=14449.
If that doesn't help, others in this forum have linked your issue to a dying battery. Have you noticed any decline in your battery life?

Playbook date problems after sync

Hello forum,
after syncing all calendar and contact datas with ActiveSync against Horde I was very surprised:
every birthday date is one day behind.
To verify that my groupware sends the correct information I started from my Bold9900 and Thunderbird/Ligthning an sync task. Everyting is ok. But not on my Playbook.
How to solve this awful problem?
Playbook firmware: 2.1.0.1917
Groupware: Horde 5.1.4

Recents - Call Times Data Wrong

I just noticed that the call time data in Phone "Recents" are incorrect. A call received at 2:00 PM is listed as 8:00 PM. Computer and iPhone are correct and set to correct Time Zones. All software is newest version. How can this be fixed?

Calendar data gone after syncing

I performed a manual sync with my iPhone and the data on my computer's calendar is now gone. The sync to my phone was successful.
I can probably restore the desktop data through Time Machine, but need to know which files to restore...and would also like to know what I did wrong so I don't do it again.

If the .bak file does not have the data, it is gone. This is the only file other than the .bak that has data is the .dat file.
The best way to preserve your data is to export the data in each category in Palm Desktop to a seperate folder on your PC.
Create a new folder on your PC somewhere that is convenient. Name it something like Palm Desktop Data. Click on the link below and follow the instructions on that page for the export procedure.

Make sure you select all for the range in the export window.
With the data saved in the folder you created, make a copy of that folder and save to a flash drive, cd-rw or external hard drive.
Anytime you make a change in Palm Desktop, export the data that was changed to that folder and save again to the external media.
With this process you can always import the data back into Palm Desktop anytime you have a problem with the data in Palm Desktop or if your computer/hard drive/device crashes.

CONTACT NAMES NOT DISPLAYING & TIME FORMAT CHANGING AFTER SYNC

i live in kuwait and i was just gifted an officially unlocked 3g iphone from new zealand. i upgraded to 2.1. i have 2 problems
1. i have synced my contacts from address book. the format that it is stored in is +965XXXXXX. 965 is the country code for kuwait and all numbers in kuwait are of 7 digits. there is no area code as this is a small country. when someone calls me their name does not appear. only the number appears
2. i have set the time format on the iphone to the 24 hour format but every time i sync with my macbook the time format changes to 12 hour format.

Follow this procedure to get your contacts back (I assume they are on your Mac/PC):
1. Go to Settings, then Mail, Contacts, Calendars
2. Select your account which has the contacts you wish to sync
3. Turn syncing for Contacts to "Off". This will bring up a box telling you your iPhone is turning off Contacts. My iPhone actually hung at this stage, so after several minutes, I performed a hard restart (holding down Home and power buttons for 5 sec.)
4. Exit from Settings
5. Go to Settings, then Mail, Contacts, Calendars
6. Select your account which has the contacts you wish to sync
7. Turn syncing for Contacts to "On". This should restore your contacts
8. Go to Contacts to verify. They initially may not appear or just show up as numbers for a second or two, but then your contacts should appear.

Treo 755 business catagory time entry wrong when sync to 6.2

Working on vista, palm update 6.2 and my treo 755. did a sync and all schedualed business data went into the calender two hours later than schedualed. checked time zone settings on all devices and they where correct. preferences are set to start day at 8 and my schedualing starts at 9. no other apps where affected. technicians suggest manual correction or take the palm device to the store. any help out there.

It's a standard pop3 account for a domain that's my business. It's being hosted by Go Daddy. The strange thing is that it worked fine for almost a year, and only in the last 3 weeks has there been a problem. I saw several people have had a similar problem, but in all those cases, it looked like either deleting and re-creating the account worked and/or a hard reset solved the problem.

HT3180 Hi, I've tried to re start mt apple TV after relocating. I get the Apple logo on power up & then it searches for time & date. After a few minutes of doing this, the screen goes blank. I have no menu screen - nothing??

I have no idea what to do? I can't reset my Apple TV because I cant access settings. Mr remote is blinking three times indicating it's not paired, so I can't reset it that way!

Obviously, your network isn't perfect.
Assuming this is not the first time you have used your Apple TV
You might try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Also try restarting the router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
If the problem persists, try a restore, you may want to try the previous procedures several times before doing this.
If restoring from the Apple TV doesn't help, try restoring from iTunes using a USB cable.
If this is a new Apple TV, in addition to trying the above, it may also be that your network router is not allowing access to the timeserver, check that your router allows access over port 123.

Dates wrong after cyrus db reconstruct

We moved our mail from 10.4 to 10.5, it didn't go very well and we used mailbfr to reconstruct the whole cyrus database. A few of the users are seeing all mail as received on May 3rd in Mail.app. To make things more confusing the mail is dated correctly when viewed in webmail.
I've used mailbfr to rebuild the users mail, we've tried removing the account in Mail.app and adding it back in but the dates are always wrong in Mail.app, correct in webmail.
I found one other post mentioning the date problem http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=7477626&#7477626> but no fixes yet.

As mentioned in the other thread, just sort by sent date rather than received date.

IPhoto 8 Dates wrong after upgrade to Tiger

My iPhoto library got totally screwed up when I upgraded toTiger. When I upload images some go in as a year earlier, sometimes they go in just fine. I never know. I can't find any of my pictures because they are 'somewhere' in my library. If I look at the photo info part of the iPhoto window the date down there is a different date from what the actual date is. If I right click on a photo and go to 'show file' and the original files coms up, it has the correct date.
Any advice?

Data lost after sync

My lap top computer hard drive crashed. Therefore I download new palm software to lap top. Then I hotsync my Tungston T5 thinking it would down load the info to the lap top but instead the palm data was lost. Is there a way I can get this info back?

If that is the case, then unfortunately there is no way to recover the data.

Can Ipad1(WIFI) originally support FaceTime at all? After sync IOS 5, the Face Time is no found either. Please kindly help.

I am using IPAD1 the WIFI one. I have not noticed if it supports Face Time funtion. After sync IOS5, I want to try Face Time with Iphone 4, but could not find out this funtion from my WIFI Ipad1. OMG, I thought it was a cam. But I recall, before sync the IOS 5, I did try face time with IPHONE4, but that time, I forgot how to get a new APPLE ID for the IPAD though. But in China, before the IPAD2 on market, the TV AD told the face time works with all IOS product. Also, I went to the retailer here, the sales person also told me that it can work as long as using WIFI connection. I confused.
