Time Difference between iPhone calender and Mac iCal

I'm having trouble when syncing my iPhone to my Mac. All of the times I enter on my computer are correct, but when I sync my phone to through iTunes, all of the times are one hour behind on the phone. When I correct it through my phone and sync again, the time on the Mac is one hour ahead. Now I bought the computer in central time zone. I also had to trade my iphone due to a broken switch in the central time zone as well, but I live on the east coast. Could the fact that I activated the phone in the midwest but live in the east be the reason for this?

Sorry for hasty posting. Deep in the setup, under Mail, Contacts, Calendar, the Calendar was set to Cupertino and I am in Prague. That is why, stupid me ...

  • Difference between Holiday Calender and Factory Calender

What is the difference between Holiday Calender and Factory Calender.

Holiday Calendars is used in Time and Payroll. It is Holiday Calender which is used in defining Work Schedules Rules for different regions.
In simple, we can say... it is defined for Employees.
Factory Calendar in turn in used in Shift Planning concept, T&E Mng, in defining/planning for Units.
In simple, we can say... it is defined at Unit(Area) Level.
Eg: Employee can be on holiday based on holiday calendar assigned to his area. But Factory may be running/open on the same day.

  • Are there any difference between iPhone 4S and iPhone 5? What are they?

What I already know is that iPhone 5 has a larger screen and is slimmer, but are there any difference between the two.  I have iPhone 4S now, should I buy iPhone 5?

There are a number of major differences between iPhone 4S and iPhone 5, the major one being the processor speed.  iPhone 5 has a much faster processor – two times faster than the processor in iPhone 4S.  This difference is only significant if you use your phone to play high graphics games that require a lot of processing power.  This processing speed also makes the applications load and run faster – iPhone 5 even boots in a shorter time than iPhone 4S.  You can use iPhone 4S comfortably now but when games and graphic apps designed for iPhone 5 are released, you may be forced to upgrade your phone to run the smoothly.

  • How to connect by Bluetooth between iPhone, iPad and Mac

How do I connect an iPhone, iPad and Mac by Bluetooth?

There's a known Bluetooth issue with the latest version of iOS (8.0 up to the current 8.0.2), and it won't be solved (hopefully) until Apple releases iOS 8.1, sometime next week.
I have the same problem as you, and many others do too. Just search the forum with the keywords "bluetooth" and "iOS 8", and you'll see...

  • Differences between iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s

I am an apple lover. Now I have a Macbook Air, an iPad Mini, an iPod nano and now a new iPhone 5.
The iPhone 5 is brand new and I don´t want to open it because I have the possibility to change it for the new iPhone 5s but, I have made a comparation between both and I didn´t have found any substancial difference.
I would like anybody tell me which are those big differences between them...
I can´t believe it. Wait too much for no surprise. I hope to be wrong!

I checked and doped a cursory comparison of the 5 and 5c and they seem mostly the same other than talk time and case dimensions. There may be more, so here the links. But you don't really need to differentiate between the 5 and 5c. You can compare the 5 to the 5s directly also in Apple's Tech Specs

  • Other than size is there any difference between iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus?

I'm thinking about getting a new phone.  Because I usually carry my phone in a pants pocket I'm concerned that the iPhone 6 Plus may be too large to carry comfortably.  That said, overall performance is my main concern and if the two phones are equal in their SmartPhone performance it makes the decision easier.  This would be my first iPhone.  Thank you for any thoughts or comments on this.

Thank you for the links.  I had looked for something like that but couldn't find anything as specific as the comparison link you gave me.  As best I can tell the only difference other than they come in large and larger, seems to be battery life related.  That helps somewhat except that is a performance item so I guess I'll just have to see hoe a 6 Plus will fit in the pocket of my jeans.
    Thanks again!
    jim
Your welcome. There's not a lot of difference between the two. i think the most significant differences other than size is the 6+ can hold a larger battery and has optical image stabilization. I only carry my phones in my shirt or jacket pockets so I opted for the smaller one just because its lighter. My previous phone was the 5S and the 6 is noticeably lighter even though larger. I've had the phone for about a month now and I'm pleased with the battery performance and the way the phone operates. My only complaints about iPhones (my first was the 4) is I find them somewhat slippery to hang onto, but that's only a personal thing. To compensate I bought the Apple leather case for the 5S as it's thin and doesn't add much bulk. I really liked it so I ordered one for the 6 right away. But again, that is just my personal preference.

  • Is there a size difference between Iphone 4 and Iphone 4S?

I want to buy a phone case for my IPhone 4, but, the case i want is only sold in size IPhone4S.
Do you think if i bought a 4S case for a 4, it would fit?
The only difference i believe there is between the phones, is that the volume buttons are slightly moved, will that matter?

That would depend on the case and iPhone 4 model.  The buttons and mute switch on the iPhone 4 ATT model are located a little bit different than the iPhone 4S.  The locations on the Verizon iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4S are the same.  Most cases for the iPhone 4 and 4S now are designed to accommodate both setups, so chances are you won't have a problem.  If you have an ATT iPhone make sure the case has slots for the volume buttons and mute switch rather than small holes for the buttons and switch.

  • Contact sync issues between iphone 4gS and mac address book

I have a miss match on contacts in my address book and on my iphone.
My iphone has 70+ more contacts and syncing does not over-ride the contents of my address book.
I found a link that told me how to clear the address book, dlete contents, cache settings etc etc etc .
All followed and deleted. Hooked my iphone up and synced with iTunes and same issue, more contacts on my phone than on my mac.
    Any ideas?
    thxs
    Simon

i think the issue is with the address book not the phone.
my phone has all i want, i cant get it to overide the data/merge or anything on the mac.

  • ICloud mail sync between iPhone 4S and Mac Book

I am new in the Apple world. I have a brand new Apple MacBook Pro right out of the box and an older iPhone 4S, using a Pop3 mail account (and for various reasons I do NOT want to change to IMAP, e.g. storage space issues on the server). I do not use Gmail or any other of these services, but use my own e-mail via my website provider. I download e-mails via POP3 onto various computers (but leaving e-mails on the server for a period of 4 weeks).
I can send and receive e-mails, no problem on my Mac nor my iPhone.
To sync between both (esp. with regard to sent mails) I have created an icloud account which works fine for synchronising my contacts, for example. But it does not in any way synchronise my e-mails between the devices or show any e-mails in icloud mail (in icloud or on in Mac mail) at all. The folder is there, it's just empty.
I changed over from Windows after being frustrated by performance issues (although I am starting to miss Outlook already). But in the Apple world I am already overwhelmed by the feeling that I do not have the slightest idea of how to set up things here...I am aware that I might not get the simplest basics, but I have no one to ask (since all friends are Microsofts-addicts).
I use three e-mails accounts (work and private) and now I am already stuck with getting to run one and sync it over the devices, let alone three.
    Thanks for any help!
    Stephanie

Apparently you must be very narrow minded. I don't want to develop an e-mail client from the scratch.
I would implement the sync the following way.
Assuming I use POP3 on both my iPhone and my MacBook. On my iPhone mail client I am downloading e-mails and reading them from time to time and replying. There is an ended set of what you actions you can do with your e-mails. Every e-mail has a unique ID / fingerprint - you can recognize it with 100% accuracy. I'm also downloading e-mails on my MacBook mac mail and performe the same ended set of actions on this e-mails. So the system architecture should be as follows:
    1. MacBook mail client queues all the actions I have performed with my e-mails on my MacBook.
    2. iPhone mail client does the same - creates a queues with actions I have performed on my iPhone.
    3. If I have the syncing turned on on both of my devices and I'm logged in on both of them with the same Apple ID both devices process the queues to my iCloud, compare it and update status of my e-mails according to the actions in each queue.
So I will rather wait until Apple will do this simple solution.

  • Sort Order Inconsistency Between iPhone OS and Mac OS

In any application (Address Book, Bento, Excel sheets, etc.), items are sorted alpha-numerically (letters followed by characters and numbers) on the iPhone, but they are sorted numero-alphabetically (characters and numbers followed by letters) in the Mac OS. It's just strange having an item called "123" in the first row of an app on the Mac, and then having to find it in the 179th row on the iPhone. I cannot find any information as to why Apple would not have both platforms do one or the other, to maintain consistency. (I think alpha-numeric is the most used.) Anyone have any clues?

  • Sync time differences between appointments on two macs?

    Hi all.
I have just had to re-install all my data on my MacBook after a hard drive failure. All went well except I'm having problems with iCal?
I use two computers and when I sync with Mobile Me, all of the appointments are transferred to the right day, but they are just some four hours earlier? I notice that the thin line with a red dot on the left hand side going across iCal is in a different place on each computer on iCal. I think its position is throwing it all out somehow.
Does anyone know how to move this? I'm obviously missing something very obvious, but I can't seem to find a solution.
    Hope someone can help!

    Yetizone,
That thin line with a red dot is a current time and date stamp. It should reflect the time of your mac as well as the date. I would make sure that all of your computers are in the correct time zone. Also in the (Date and Time) Preference Pane found in (System Preferences) you can (Set date & time automatically) with apples servers. Also I would look into (ical)/(Preferences) click on the (Advance) tab and check (Turn on Time zone support) What that will do is put a little time zone thing back in the main window top right.
    I hope that helps,
    Weston
