Time display is wrong

My time display on my iPhone 5C has been wrong in the last 48 hrs.  The time display has been off from 15 minutes to 3 full hours. I've tried everything, from turning it off and on several times, to updating it, resetting it too, and nothing seems to fix this problem.  The time showing right now says: 8:30 p.m. and it is actually 10:08 p.m.! Please help!!! I don't know what else to try, as I've been trying to fix this problem since 48 hrs ago!  Please please help!!!!!

Thanks for the reply

Only in RZ20 and CCMS alerts it show wrong time.(delay by 4 1/2 hours)
Thank You

  • Airport Blank, Time displayed is wrong, spinning wheel of death›

    Hi Guys
This is the second time this has happened in the last 3 days.
My airport icon along the top toolbar is blank, even though clearly i am on the internet right now and it's working, and also the time is 50mins out. I went into System Preferences to check if i had the wrong time zone, but it's on the correct one (Wellington, New Zealand) and in System Preferences it has the correct time, yet the time displayed on the tool bar is wrong.
The other day when this happened, i shut my macbook pro (Leopard 10.5.8), and opened again, and it restarted itself, took 10 minutes on the white page with apple logo and spinning cog, and then went to a plain blue screen. I forced it to shut down and started it up and again and this happened again. I couldn't find anything on these forums to help me (on my boyfriends laptop) and went and had a look at my manual, and started up my laptop in safemode, went into my system preferences, went to startup disk and selected my local disk and then restarted my laptop and it has been working fine for the 2 days since then.
About ten minutes ago, i opened up my laptop from sleep and the airport icon is blank and the time is out again, also when i hover over that part of the toolbar i get the pinwheel, but when i hover over the toolbar towards the menus it's fine.
I just opened system preferences to have a look at the start up disk thing again and it's frozen with pinwheel there too.
    Help Help Help!
I don't want to shut my laptop off right now because i know i will get blue screen when i try to turn it on again and i won't get any of your replies :P

also just noticed the "wrong time" is actually frozen, it's just frozen on 7:55pm

  • How to fix iPhone 5 from displaying the wrong time

Work up the day is daylight savings time and come to find out my iPhone was displaying the wrong time tried to switch from manual and automatic quick to see if it worked and nothing turned it on airplane mode still didn't work and I noticed I'm also having problems with my service please help

If it is on automatic time, then the time is received from the carrier. If you say you are having "service" problems, I am assuming you mean your carrier. It could be an overall carrier problem. Contact them.

  • Why does the iphone 5 always display the wrong time

why does the iphone 5 always display the wrong time

I had similar problem. My iPhone was always about 3 minutes faster than the correct time here in the UK which I found to be very irritating. It just came to a head because here in the UK we have just changed from British Summer Time back to standard GMT. This actually worked automatically except that the iPhone time still showed it to be about 3 minutes faster than GMT. However I have now cured the problem (almost) by going to
Settings/General/ Date & Time/ and then selected the "Set Automatically" button.
The clock then immediately jumped back 3 minutes and now the iPhone time is only about 10 seconds slow which is good enough for me.

  • Mail app displays the wrong Inbox when you open it.

This problem can be easily reproduced if you have more than one email account configured in iOS 4.x
It should be extremely simple to fix with the next update. I see that this same problem has been mentioned before, but I couldn't update that thread because it's "archived." If you want Apple to fix this, please report the issue to Apple using one or more of the links below:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipodtouch.html
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html (not sure if iPad Mail app is affected)
    Here's what I submitted...
    Subject:
Simple software design issue in Mail app.
    Feedback Type:
    Design/Ease of Use
    Comments:
Thanks for your work on making iOS better and better with each update! There is no option to provide general iOS feedback, so I'll submit this under "iPhone" and "iPod." I'm currently using the latest iOS (4.3.1).
The native Mail app in iOS has had the Unified Inbox feature since iOS 4.0, which is very useful. However, there is a minor design flaw that could be easily resolved with a software update.
    My setup:
I have 3 Exchange accounts on my device (Hotmail, Gmail[Default], Work). The Hotmail Inbox is empty at least 98% of the time because my Gmail account periodically downloads the messages. The only reason I have the Hotmail account entered on my device is to make sure I can see a message in "All Inboxes" even before my Google account retrieves it. On my device, the Gmail account is set as default for Mail and Contacts.
    The problem:
I never intentionally select the Inbox for the Hotmail account because it should almost always be empty. I would simply view "All Inboxes." Still, half the time I open the Mail app, it shows the empty Hotmail Inbox. This is very annoying!
I finally figured out how to reproduce it consistently:
(must have more than one account configured)
    1) Launch the Mail app and back-up to the screen that shows the list of accounts / Inboxes (I usually try to leave it here when I'm done, hoping to see that screen the next time I open Mail).
    2) Without selecting a specific account or Inbox, push the Home button to exit the Mail app.
    3) Kill the Mail process from the multi-tasking menu.
    4) Open Mail again
Mail will show whichever Inbox comes immediately after "All Inboxes", even if it's not your default account. In my case, it starts in the empty Hotmail Inbox every time...a folder that I never intentionally select. Each time, I have to go back to the list and tap "All Inboxes."
So, if I leave Mail on the root screen before killing the process, it consistently displays the wrong Inbox the next time I open it. If I select an Inbox or "All Inboxes," it will remember that selection and show me that screen the next time I open Mail.
    What it should do:
When Mail doesn't know which Inbox to display, it should...
    A. Start on the root screen with the list of accounts and Inboxes (preferred option).
or B. Start in "All Inboxes" (secondary preference).
or C. Start in the Inbox of the default account (not preferred, but better than showing an empty/unused Inbox).
    Thank you!

    Try this...
    Launch the Mail app.
Navigate to the "Mailboxes" page (the page that lists all of your accounts).
Tap "Edit" in the top right corner.
Scroll down to the bottom section of the page, titled "ACCOUNTS".
Drag the triple-bars on the right to reorder the accounts listed. The first account listed will be the one that the app launches to.
Hope this helps, I went crazy trying to figure that out and it worked for me.

  • [SOLVED] Incorrect time displayed in my system

    Hey Archers,
I have trouble correct time being displayed in my system.
    My BIOS time is:
    May 18 2012 08:39:21 PM IST
    Date command displays
    Sat May 19 02:09:59 IST 2012
Clearly the time displayed by date command is localtime+05:30 (Asia/Kolkata), when I expect it to be just localtime.
    How do I correct this?
I dont dual boot and have just Arch installed on my machine.
    And my /etc/rc.conf has this:
    HARDWARECLOCK="UTC"
    TIMEZONE="Asia/Kolkata"
Please correct if my understanding is wrong, but is this how it works?
    When I say HARDWARECLOCK=UTC and TIMEZONE=''Asia/Kolkata",
It assumes, hardwareclock, time displayed by BIOS, is infact UTC, and, since the user is interested in timezone, +0530, it adds 0530 to hardware clock.
    Thanks,
    Nachiket.

    Hey Tectu,
The wiki article on Time was indeed splendid. It had all the information I needed. Thank you.
    Trilby,
You were right, my hardware clock was on local time.
So this is what I did to set it correct.
    1. Set the HARDWARECLOCK to "localtime" in /etc/rc.conf
    HARDWARECLOCK="localtime"
    TIMEZONE="Asia/Kolkata"
    2. Reboot the system
    3. Set the systemclock to UTC by doing a -0530 (minus 05 hours 30 minutes)
    # date `date -d "-05 hours -30 mins" +%m%d%H%M%Y`
    4. Copy the system clock value to hardware clock
    # hwclock --systohc
    5. Edit the /etc/rc.conf to set HARDWARECLOCK back to UTC
    HARDWARECLOCK="UTC"
    TIMEZONE="Asia/Kolkata"
    6. Reboot the system.
And yes, now my system clock displays correct time
Just setting HARDWARECLOCK to "localtime" also worked. But since I the beginners guide recomments "UTC" I did all this.
    Marking the thread as SOLVED.
    Regards,
    Nachiket.

  • Where did the time display go and why is the screen stuck on master track? Thanks.

My time display disappeared and the screen is stuck on master track. Any ideas? Thanks.

If the GarageBand application window appears to be messed up, parts missing, or in the wrong place, it might be a problem of corrupted preferences files. Try to repair permissions and to remove the file "Your Home Folder/Library/Preferences/com.apple.garageband.plist" from your user library.
See HangTime's fix for "oddball problems":
    http://www.bulletsandbones.com/GB/GBFAQ.html#oddballprobs
(Let the page FULLY load. The link to your answer is at the top of your screen)
Is your profile signature "GarageBand '09, Mac OS X (10.5.8)" still current, John? If not, and you are now using Lion or Mt. Lion, the User Library will be hidden.
Then you can reveal it from the Finder's "Go" menu:
Finder > Go,   then hold down the options ⌥ key, until the Library appears in the drop-down menu, select it and open the Library folder. Then go to the "Preferences" sub folder and remove com.apple.garageband.plist.

  • Time display

Somehow I have the time displayed wrong. I have enabled the time display in the menu, digits no seconds. like 10:42. When my screen saver "computer name" starts the time is displayed in: minutes / seconds. Like 4232. This seems to affect the profiler as well. What I did is changing the time server from apple.europe to apple us. Thought that might solve a video chat issue. That was a couple of days ago and I reset it to european time within an hour.
The time displays accurate in the menu and the settings in preferences. I don't know how to set it so the screen saver to display it h/min/sec again. Does any one know how I can adjust this?
    Message was edited by: CodLBi

My error. Most likely I ignored that setting years ago and missed it this time. You've got something amiss, no matter which time setting I show in Date & Time, the screensaver, with show time selected, only shows hours and minutes. You could move all screensaver plist files from /username/Library/Preferences/ and /username/Library/Preferences/ByHost/ to the desktop, log out and back in, reset its settings, and see if that fixes the problem.
Alternatively, check the International prefPane for time formats.

  • How to reset numbers in real time display in Cisco Supervisor Desktop?

    Hi all,
I wonder about numbers in real time display in Cisco Supervisor Desktop. There are many statistic number for example : Call Handled, Max Talking, Avg Talking, Max Ready, Total Ready, Call abandoned, etc. Is there any way to reset those numbers back to zero? Please let me know.
    Thank you.

    Joe,
I haven't tried that, but I'm very skeptical. The CAD Agent gets stats from two places - CTIOS and RASS. RASS keeps the call log information in a SQL Desktop Engine database.
Stats derived from CTIOS reset at midnight. Obviously, restarting the RASS service has no effect on those. Call log information is being kept in a database so it seems to me that a restart of RASS should also have no effect.
I guess I will have to try for myself.
    Regards,
    Geoff

  • Image time display discrepancies between product

The following is an example of a problem I've observed in many places in my photo collection.
I have two files taken 8 seconds apart in April 2009 with a Nikon D70 shooting .jpg format.  The files were subsequently imported from the camera memory card using a card reader and Photoshop Elements.  PSE was also used to add tags to these files.
Since then I've acquired Photoshop CS 5 Extended.  The other day I was looking at these files in both PSE and Bridge.  PSE shows the time of these two files to be the same (as it should), however, it adds an hour to the actual time the image was taken to adjust for the difference between the time set in the camera (it was Pacific Time) and the time zone where my computer is now located (Mountain Time).  When I look at the time on the images in Bridge, one of them shows the correct time in Pacific Daylight Time, but the other is showing the corresponding UTC time value, 7 hours later than the local time.  Looking at the file list in Window Explorer shows the "Date" and "Date taken" values to be the same as that shown by Bridge.
There were two other images taken shortly before the first one mentioned above and they show the correct local time.  The two files that followed the UTC timed file also show a UTC time value.  Then following that the next file shows local time and then there are a number of files showing UTC for time.
If I look at the two files with Windows Notepad so that I can see some of the text strings in the exif data portion of the file, the first file has a couple different places where time is shown in the format "...hh:mm:ss-07:00" and the other in the format "...hh:mm:ssZ".  The time value is preceded by the date in yyyy:mm:dd format. It would appear that Bridge is reading these values and displaying them, while PSE is getting some other time value from the file. Here is the actual string from the file that displays in UTC:
         exif:DateTimeOriginal="2009-04-05T17:08:10Z"   exif:DateTimeDigitized="2009-04-05T17:08:10Z"
and for the file that displays time in local time the string is:
         exif:DateTimeOriginal="2009-04-05T10:08:02-07:00"   exif:DateTimeDigitized="2009-04-05T10:08:02-07:00"
I've observed this same discrepany with files taken more recently with a Nikon D700 and images in NEF format.  I think I can reasonably eliminate the possibility that this is a camera caused discrepancy.  I suspect that some program is actually reading the local time and offset, then writing that back to the file as a UTC time value.  The behaviors of PSE and Bridge seem to point to the fact that the two programs are extracting time from different fields / strings in the file.  At this point the occurrance of the problem seems random, at least I've not been able to discern a pattern and reproduce it at will.
Although this is not a catastrophic problem, it does cause confusion.  I've also looked at these files in Lightroom, which on initial inspection appears to get the same time values as Bridge.  The down side of this is that files in Lightroom are sorted into time order, which may not be the order they were taken.  Although I recognize that these products may not have been design for complete compatibility, it sure would be nice if they all treated time in the same way.

I believe I now have more information about how PSE works and therefore need to slightly correct my original post.  It looks like PSE takes what ever time it finds for the photo's "time taken," converts it to UTC, then converts it to the local time on which PSE is running.  That will explain why two images taken seconds apart, with on having time coded as local time plus UTC offset and the other having an absolute UTC time, display the time taken in local time.  On the other hand, Bridge (and Lightroom) just displays what ever time it finds in the file.

  • Calendar app icon is displaying the wrong date

For some reason on my iPhone's homescreen the icon for the Calendar app has today started displaying the wrong date.
It should show today's date, Monday 6th but instead it reads Sunday 5th.
What confuses me is that the phone does know the date is Monday 6th as the lock screen shows it correctly and also when I actually load the Calendar app it starts on the right date. Also, when I load the multi task bar the Calendar app icon there is correct. See the attached photo, which shows the Calendar app on the home screen (faded, middle left) displaying yesterdays date Sunday 5th, while the app icon in the multi task bar is correct, Monday 6th.
Syncing the calendar with my iMac does not correct the error. Equally, turning the phone off and on again has not sorted it.
Does anyone have any idea what might be causing the fault? And more importantly how to correct it?
    Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestion DaVBMan, sadly it didn't work. The only thing that did work was to wait until midnight and it corrected itself. In the mind of the phone it lived a whole day twice and then skipped one completely in order to get back on track. Very odd and also I have since discovered it has happened to a few of my friends too.
It's not happened again so I have no idea what so ever what caused it. Fingers crossed it never recurs.

hi, my iPhone5s is only 3 months old, it has been like a whole month now since it started crashing, displaying the blue screen of death, since yesterday it was in the loop of restart-crash, and now it is stuck in recovery mode after lots of times displaying blue screen.
I cannot restore it as phone continues crashing again with blue screen, when iTunes displays error 14 on verification.
help please, this phone is all the means of communication I have.

It's a hardware problem. That's it. You shouldn't bother yourself with this situation. Just see an AASP.

  • How do I change the new iTunes play list total time display from 1.5 hours format to exact display of 1hr 31min 12sec.

In the new iTunes the play list total time displays in 1.5 hours format, how do I get it to clearly show 1hr 31min 12sec like before, I want the exact time so I can properly fit all the songs when I want to burn this playlist to a disc. You can no longer just click on it to change the display format. Nor can you right click, control click, or change it in options. If anyone knows I would very much appreciate your imput. Thank You.

Actually, that's the problem ... in iTunes *11* it has stopped working.  I have the status bar displayed, and it is stuck on the 1.x hours format.
That is very, very strange !!
I can't get that to happen on mine. It worked in 11.0 and I updated today to 11.0.1 and it's OK.
I've tried making a new playlist, I've tried changing an old playlist, smart playlist ...... all OK ????

  • UCCX 8 - CSD Real Time Display "N/A"

    Hello,
We are facing an issue with Cisco Supervisor Desktop real time display "Agent Logs - call" and "Agent Logs - state". These two real time displays show "n/a" while select specific agents (some agents it show data as normal). For the agents who display "n/a" in CSD, in CAD the real time data display as normal.
For example: When supervisor monitor Agent_A in CSD "Agent Logs - call" show "N/A" (the same to Agent Logs -state). But in CAD, Agent_A can see real time display "Agent Call Log Display" as normal (the same to "Agent ACD State Log Display").
    Does anyone experience this issue?
It seem that the real time display data in CAD and CSD are getting from the same source. How come the CSD show "n/a" when the data is available in CAD? Any idea, please help.
    Many thanks,

    Hi Anuj,
Thanks for your response. We are currently running on UCCX SU2. We used to reinstalled CSD/CAD already after we upgrade the UCCX to SU2. Our issue is now fixed by delete the user id of inactive agent from resource page and resync the directory  services.
Just a note for anyone who might face similar issue, the recommendation is to first check the version of CAD/CSD running on the client PC (as Anuj suggest) and also comparing the user ID with the UCCX resource page. Be aware that user ID is case sensitive. Check the inactive agent list in the resource page. Delete the user id if you see it there. Then go to Desktop Administrator to resync the directory servcies.
    Thanks!
