Running 11.2.0.2 on windows 64 bit virtualized..
VKTM, oracles virtual keeper of time is throwing a lot of warnings in the alert log. According to my research this is not a great concern (if someone could explain why that would be great as well) but you should be able to supress the trace file if you are at 11.2.0.2 by setting event = "10795 trace name context forever, level 2" in the the paramater file. I am using a spfile and did not use "alter system", i cretaed pfile and edited it , opened with it and created a new spfile then opened with that. I am however still receiving the trace files and the messages in the alert log, I am getting approximately 10 a day now so the alert log is filling rather quickly. Has anyone else encountered this or have any advice on how to solve this? Thanks

Since it's not a production machine it hasn't bothered me, but there are three other side effects
a) the "tim=" values in 10046 trace files look as if they have two parallel clocks running out of synch with each other - with the reported values jumping from one clock to the other every few milliseconds.
b) sometimes the database refuses to restart with "vktm didn't start in time" error messages
c) a couple of times a call to dbms_lock.sleep(0.01) has slept for a very long time - possibly because the timer started on the faster of the two clocks, and the system then jumped to the slower.
I never trust the machine for performance tests, so the timing anomalies aren't a big issue for me, so I haven't followed it up; but I'd guess it's a vmware issue with the way it has virtualised the multiple CPUs.

  • Error in loading the WSDL file. Check the error log for more details

    Hello,
I am trying to create a Import Adaptive Webservice Model. I am using the WSDL:
    http://www.abysal.com/soap/AbysalEmail.wsdl
I am getting the below error when I choose WSDL source as UDDI or file (I am not using any logical destination)
"Error in loading the WSDL file. Check the error log for more details."
Where can i see the error log? And what is the solution to fix this?
I am able to create the model if i save the wsdl locally on my machine and choose Local File System or File as the WSDL source. But at runtime this fails as the application tries to read the WSDL for metadata info and it looks into the application server for this file.
I also tried creating the old webservice model. And it is able to create the model. But I feel I need to use the new model as this one is deprecated.
    Thanks,
    Sachin

True, normally it is not working and the guru does not know why. Your question is special as it does work yet you dont know why.
Bottom line is that you must provide more information and have tried to analyze it yourself...
    Raghav Raghav asked originally:
    Hello Gurus,

That is not enough. But please analyze it and try again with more infos provided. 9 times out of 10 the user has some other role... (and we cannot see that...)

    Hello,
when i am trying to add an app through sharepoint app store, i'm getting the following error below:
Sorry, we can't seem to connect to the SharePoint Store. Try again in a bit.
i'm using sharepoint foundation 2013 and it is installed on a VM.
i have tried all possible solution on the internet.
    can someone help.
    thanks in advance.

    Hi ibocus,
According to your description, my understanding is that you got an error when you used SharePoint app store in SharePoint 2013.
Please check whether you have created and configured an App management Service application in Central Administration. If not, please create one.
Here is an article about configuring an environment for apps for SharePoint, please take a look at:

    I hope this helps.

What is the OS version of the PC you are running  and is it physical machine or virtual machine that is running the HRC client ..
OS Version Windows 7 Home Premium  64 bit and it’s a physical machine.
. The Max DB Connections for Report Client Sessions is set to 5 for each servers (There are two servers). The no of HR Sessions is set to 10.
I wanted to know if there is a way to find the HRC sessions active now and terminate the one or more or all of that sessions from the server end ?

We have had this "PRX5" problem with Exchange 2013 since the RTM version.  We recently applied CU3, and it did not correct the problem.  We have seen this problem on every Exchange 2013 we manage.  They are all installations where all roles
are installed on the same Windows server, and in our case, they are all Windows virtual machines using Windows 2012 Hyper-V.
We have tried all the "this fixed it for me" solutions regarding DNS, network cards, host file entries and so forth.  None of those "solutions" made any difference whatsoever.  The occurrence of the temporary error PRX5 seems totally random.
About 2 out of 20 incoming mail test by Microsoft Connectivity Analyzer fail with this PRX5 error.
Most people don't ever notice the issue because remote mail servers retry the connection later.  However, telephone voice mail systems that forward voice message files to email, or other such applications such as your scanner, often don't retry and
simply fail.  Our phone system actually disables all further attempts to send voice mail to a particular user if the PRX5 error is returned when the email is sent by the phone system.
Is Microsoft totally oblivious to this problem?
PRX5 is a serious issue that needs an Exchange team resolution, or at least an acknowledgement that the problem actually does exist and has negative consequences for proper mail flow.

  • Cannot launch vivado simulator 2015.1: behav/compile.bat' script "Please check that the file has the correct 'read/write/execute' permissions"

    Hi,
I'm trying to run a verilog simulation using the vivado simulator 2015.1 on Windows 7.
I get the following error when I attempt to launch simulation:
ERROR: [USF-XSim-62] 'compile' step failed with error(s) while executing 'D:/projects/axi/axi_test_system/axi_test_system.sim/sim_1/behav/compile.bat' script. Please check that the file has the correct 'read/write/execute' permissions and the Tcl console output for any other possible errors or warnings.
The tcl console repeats the same message, "Please check that the file has the correct 'read/write/execute' permissions"
I cannot find any problem with the permissions.  I believe that windows will always execute a .bat file.   Within the same project, I can run elaboration, synthesis and implementation without problems.
Any idea why the simulation compile script won't run?
    Thanks,
    Ed

    Hi,
Thanks very much for your detailed reply. These were the right questions based upon what I told you.
However, I took the code home last night and ran it on my webpack 2014.2 release.   It still failed, but I got completely different error messages.   These messages correctly pointed me to an undeclared signal in my testbench. Once fixed, the compile worked and the simulator launched.
This morning, I fixed the signal name in my 2015.1 setup, and it also compiled and launched correctly.
So, the problem wasn't actually related to file permissions.  It seems like the 2015.1 error message may be broken compared to 2014.2.
I was running the Vivado GUI, clicking on "Simulate > Run Behavioral Simulation"
    Thanks again for your help.
    Regards,
    Ed

    Please help

Join the club. I have had the issue for two months now, but not found a solution.
It will not verify when I try to start it up. When I try to update with the latest version in the mac app store it tells me I have a newer version. It will not let me delete the installed version as its part of the OS.... This has been an issue now for over a month and I now just use my MacBook pro for FaceTime. All my software is up to date . . Except for FaceTime!
When I try to update FaceTime it says "FaceTime can’t be installed on “Macintosh HD” because the version of OS X is too new.". when I try to delete the installed version it says its required by OSX . . not sure what else I can try
Facetime on my computer is Version 3.0 (1638)  and on the Mac App store its v1.0.5 ...  Something seems to be wrong here and possibly that's why I cannot uninstal or instal from App Store. Very frustrated :-(

  • Critical errors were found in setup. Please see setup log file for details.

What fixes this problem in IE? I have read a lot of forums with many replies saying they got by it, but they never explain how. One guy posted a link, but the link is dead now.
I need to know how to fix this problem. Only thing I can gather is its a Java issue, but my java is up to date. In fact I just reinstalled it make sure that it was updated.
With as many people having this issue I can't believe I have not found something from Adobe on this issue.
    Regards,
    Scott

I run the setup file and it does the checking system process... then goes into the actual install menu and not more than 10 seconds into that 2nd menu I get "critical errors were found in setup. Please see setup log file for details". That is all I can get out of the install.
The message window that I get the error in indicates windows Internet Explorer.
That is the my entire process. I have searched and found the log file and I have looked through it, but I am having a hard time finding the actual cause of the error. Out of shear frustration I removed all my adobe products and tried the install again and had the same exact problem. So I know there is something stopping me some where... just don't know what it could be.
    Thanks,

  • Generate trace file for a certain transaction by dates

    Experts,
I am trying to generate a trace file for a certain transaction for a period of time.
I used tx st03 > transaction profile > double click on transaction and am able to get a list for the day. How do I set the date to generate for the month for example?
    Thanks,
    Iqbal

    Hi Iqbal,
In Tr. ST03 itself, you have three ranges. Day, Week and Month.
Just select the month. Expand it. Select which month you want.
Then check Transaction Profile. It should give you the details for the whole month.
    Cheers....,

You seem to have RAC with multiple instances.
Anyhow, lower(d.value) --> icai, doesn't occur in any filename. This is because the instance name is in the trace filename, not the database name.
You are aware you can set the tracefile_identifier?
This will be simply appended to the original filename.

  • Generating Trace file for ODI Sessions

    ODI Gurus
am new to ODI, for one of our integration project am using ODI for transforming data from Source to Target Instance.
Oracle Database is installed on both Source and Target instances. Is there a way to generate Database Trace files for ODI sessions triggered.
If yes can you provide the steps to enable/disable database trace for ODI sessions.
    Regards
    Uma Shankar

    Hi Uma Shankar,
    My assumptions:
1.) You want to selectively enable Oracle tracing when only the ODI scenarios are executed and not otherwise.
If that is the case then you will have to add some external steps comprising of OS commands and variables that will control if those steps are to be executed or not. These steps will invoke the OS commands to start Oracle tracing.
2.) You know the steps to create a package and know how to use Interfaces and other ODI utilities in the flow of the package.
3.) You know how to create and execute scenarios
    Steps to Selectively enable tracing.
1.) Add a variable named V_START_TRACE to the package. This variable will be passed a value from scenario which will determine if you want to enable to trace or not. This variable type is EVALUATE and can have 2 values - TRUE or FALSE. You will have to check for the condition and depending on the condition you will take a path forward.
    2.) Add 2 OS commands to the package - OS_START_TRACE and OS_END_TRACE
3.) Create 2 shell scripts (or bat files) - odi_start_trace.sh and odi_end_trace.sh with the following commands:
    odi_start_trace.sh :-
    sqlplus session - ALTER SYSTEM SET trace_enabled = TRUE;
    odi_end_trace.sh :-
    sqlplus session - ALTER SYSTEM SET trace_enabled = FALSE;
You need to invoke SQLPLUS sessions from the above shell scripts to enable/disable the oracle level tracing.
4.) Add the above shell scripts to the OS commands created in Step 2.
5.) Join the steps in the following order in the package :
    V_START_TRACE (OK) ->OS_START_TRACE (OK) -> <<+Your Actual Integration Code+>>(OK) -> OS_END_TRACE
    V_START_TRACE (KO) -> <<+Your Actual Integration Code+>>(OK)
The above KO variable statement doesnt start the trace if the evaluated value doesnt = TRUE. So this will let you do a selective trace.
6.) Create the scenario from the package and execute the scenario by passing it a value "TRUE" for variable V_START_TRACE.
Check the startscen.sh syntax, something like:
    *>startscen.sh ... "GLOBAL.V_START_TRACE=TRUE"*
The above is a general solution for enabling trace for any RDBMS

  • Generate trace file for a certain transaction

    Experts,
I am trying to generate a trace file for a certain transaction for a period of time.
I used tx st03 > transaction profile > double click on transaction and am able to get a list for the day. How do I set the date to generate for the month for example?
    Thanks,
    Iqbal

Since you post the question in security forum, not peformance or platform forum, I guess are looking for system auditing function.
then SM19/SM20 might be the choice, you can read through

You could try reading what I said: change the port in the URL to 1158.
My release of windows is this,
    c:\Users\John>ver
    Microsoft Windows [Version 6.2.9200]
    c:\Users\John>
You can ignore that junk about editions.
And by the way, there is a problem with your keyboard, it keeps inserting multiple "...." character strings.

I have completely uninstalled the HRC, and download from server install again -- still doesn't work with exactly same error.
this matter only happens on this PC, when user try same thing on other PC, it works.
so i think it not relate to server or account.
