Time in windows
So, after replacing arch with ubuntu on one of my machines the time is messed up on my windows partition. When I installed arch I did this registry change on windows to make UTC work as described in https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ti … in_Windows :

And as such, I am unsure how to undo this change. If anybody could help, I would greatly apreciate it.
Not only do you have to make that registry change, but you also have to stop windows from updating your time as well. This is why it is going all wonky still. So open up the time setting control panel what-have-you, and uncheck the box to keep the time updated or synced or whatever it may say.
In reality it is a very easy to also use localtime with systemd these days. It seems to do fine with it apparently. But localtime is a terrible way to keep system time I think. It makes it so that twice a year, if you live in an area with DST, the time jumps an hour (in most places). Time going backwards on a computer is never really a "good" thing, but the system has been made to deal with it.
The only reason I think you would want to use windows to keep the time (and therefore keep it in localtime) is if you are booted into windows significantly more than Linux.

I currently have a mini server (OSX10.8.5, server 2.2.2) that I am using Time Machine to back up 4 external drives that are connected to the server via firewire 800. I would like to use Time Machine to back up to a windows network SMB drive. I can see the drive on my desktop but it will not show in the time machine window to be able to select it for use.

The Time Machine storage is based on the HFS+ file system, so I would not expect TM to work with SMB file services.
While there are hacks to allow Time Machine to access network drives, I would not consider those to be reliable. Skim the forum and the 'net for related details, and for previous discussions of setting this up and the related issues that can arise.
Remember to test the recovery with whatever you decide to use; whole point of backups is the ability to restore the data, after all.

How can i run multiple instances of Photoshop EXE at the same time on windows 7
Alright. You may ask why do you need multiple ?
Assume that i have 10000 PSD files in 10 different folders
I have a script that just save as them as PNG
And these files are each 3000x3000 px
My computer has 8 cores and 1 photoshop exe is only using 1 cpu core
Also i have SSD raid system it has 750 mb read write per second
So right now i am wasting my time with running only 1 photoshop exe instead of at least 4I'm not aware of a way to run multiple instances or different versions of photoshop at the same time on windows.
Assuming of course they are all installed on the same operating system.
On mac versions you can running two different versions of photoshop at the same time, but i don't think that's possible on windows where it
appears that only one version of photoshop can run at a time. -
How can I DISABLE the pop up 'Would you like to copy it to Library', preventing this message from bothering for each and every book, again and again , time after time? (Windows 7 64bit US).
I guess this may be a feature request. Adobe may think this is a good message for every new eBook.
I sure would like to decide about that myself.

Decided to setup the mail for exchange on my N8 so I could see my work emails. Worked like a charm but after a couple of hours decided I didn't like being that contactable so deleted the mailbox.
Now to the problem, during setup I was forced to enable the phone lock and had to pick a 7 digit alphanumeric code. Fair enough I thought and went ahead. When I removed the mailbox however the lock remained in place with the default auto time of 30 minutes. Which firmware your N8 having now? You can check firmware by choosing Call, then type *#0000#.
My N8 works fine on security setting and able to define Phone auto lock period, by choosing Menu>Settings>Phone>Phone management>Security settings>Phone and SIM card>Phone auto lock period>User defined>Lock after(minutes)
You will prompt to enter Lock code each time u define auto lock priod or enable/disable auto lock.

windows 7 64 bit will not install itunes..it tries to install and keeps telling quick time for windows did not properly install any help?

I am sorry to hear nothing has worked yet. I have looked up some additional information and possible solutions. Follow the steps in this document to perform a level-three uninstall, register the Windows Installer Service, and then reinstall the HP software. An uninstall and reinstall of the software deletes and overwrites any of the files that might cause the error and resets the Windows Installer. HP recommends that you download the latest software from the HP Web site to remove any files that might be causing this error.

Note: The title of this document is not specific to the issue you are experiencing or the operating system you have, but the 3 steps and instructions are what I suggest we do to resolve the issue you are experiencing.

New Camera RAW in Photoshop CC 2014 won't open multiple Panasonic RAW (.rw2) at the same time from Windows Explorer. If I select 2 raw files and click "Open" Camera RAW will only open 1 raw, then when I click "Done" it will close and open the second, sequentially. Previous Photoshop CC and RAW worked fine, it would open mulitple RAW at the same time. How do I fix this?
If it worked for you that way previously there isn't much to comment about. I just tried opening multiple images from Windows Explorer with Photoshop CS6 and Camera Raw 8.6, and the first image would open and when I clicked cancel then the second image would open. But if I wanted multiple images opened in Camera Raw to work on them simultaneously it was necessary for me to open them from Bridge. I just did it as an experiment because I normally use Lightroom. Anyway, IF it was a feature at one time to work as you described, it doesn't seem to be that way now.

my external hardrive doesnt show up in the time machine window for disk selection . i connected it to a usb hub it shows up when i do the manual setup but it still doesnt show up in the disk window . any help am i missing something ?

Mountain lion mac osx 10.8.3 time machine backups are not visible in time travel window. Why?
Time Machine shows that it's backing up every day. It recognizes my selected backup drive. The backups appear in that external drive.
However today I opened the Time Travel Window and it says, No Backups Available.
Whazzup?Unmount and remount the drive. Same thing?

Run-Time Error window doesn't have Retry and Ignore options

The run-Time Error window usually have 4 bullets at the bottom part. They all used to be enabled untill recently. Somehow, I only have the Run Cleanup and Abort immediately bullets enabled. Why are the Retry and Ignore disabled? Is there an option to turn it on and off?

Trouble Writing Large Files to Time Capsule - Windows 7
Hi
I'm having some trouble with my Time Capsule. I can access it and read files from it fine. However, I have trouble writing files to it. Small files ( say multiple word docs) write fine. However, with medium size files (say 120 mb) it crashes. I have noticed that no matter how large the file is, it writes up to 10% of the file very quickly but then crashes. It fails with the error message that 'the network location specified is no longer available'. Sometimes, when it crashes, it essentially crashes my Time Capsule network. I.E I am still connected to the internet but I can access the Time Capsule.
I used to be able to write files (when I was using Vista) no problem. I still have 250gb left.
What can I do to fix this?

I'm not a big fan of comparisons... things differ & it transcends subjective good or bad. And, though it's the idea, what is next may or may not be better than what was before. That said...
I have lived through a few Windows OSs. Each having peculiarities and pros & cons, some things that endured, some that didn't. The last had lots of peculiarities.
After some time w/ Windows 10, about 5 months, I'll share my feelings and impressions in terms of using it on a daily basis. Some talk of UI. I'd rather talk of mechanics, meaning procedures involved w/ maneuvering and manipulating things, accessing
things. It somewhere between kewl & important to have things efficient, simple,
easy, neatly organised, clean-n-tidy and direct, handy paths. This leads to good productivity and a pleasant experience which, is the desired goal.
I have had time to explore, discover & learn Windows 10. More than enough time to see a few things and arrange a few things accordingly and appreciate the finesse it offers. The beauty of 'less is more'. This is so very refreshing following
the silliness of 8.1 The ease of using Windows 10 is a comfort. And the fact that it can be done w/out any complexity... w/ so little clutter of icons, w/out digging or flitting all over the place, w/out lots of effort or mousing or clicking or
swiping. Things @ your fingertips and takes little or nothing to achieve. And all this derived from the OS completely, natively.
It is just so straight-forward, it makes using a computer enjoyable, no struggle or stress. Windows 10 is technically good & Feature packed but, what makes it shine is to have all that and (yet) have a very purposeful, concise, set-up
offer much power but, also, great ease of use. It's refreshing and easy. Productive & pleasant.

Exactly the same problem here. As far as I can see this problem has been around since Match was first released with no action from Apple to rectify it. I've spent days trying to get this to work now and unless I get a fix soon, I'm going to pull my Match membership and ask for a refund because this is not what I signed up for...
