Time keeps changing whenever I sync my Ipod to my laptop (itunes)

The time in my iPod keeps on changing whenever I sync my device to itunes in my laptop. Can someone please help?

Hi guys, I have a iphone 3gs 16gb but nomatter how many times i set the time and time zone on my phone, when i next plug it into itunes 10 it knocks the clock 8 hours forward. I've even set the time on my ipone while connected to itunes rhen synced it, but the next time i connnect it it knocks it 8 hours forward again and again and again. The same thing happens when i turn on the auto function by the same amount of time, wether connected to itunes or not. My PC is set at the right time and zone and im more than frustrated with this problem. My wife has the exact same iphone as me and on the same network but does not have this issue and all our setting are the same just incase it was something i was doing wrong on mine but to no avail.
Please can someone give a definitive answer to this annoying problem

  • Can't sync new ipod touch to laptop itunes

I'm trying to sync songs saved in itunes on my laptop to my daughter's new ipod touch.  It just hangs on Step 2 of 6.  And it seems the itunes store won't properly load either on the laptop.  I think that's part of the problem.  So I downloaded the new itunes software but that didn't fix the problem. Please help.
    Thanks.

Probably because Apple's servers are overwhelmed on Christmas morning.

  • Whenever I sync my iPod touch with my computer, several albums vanish.

Whenever I sync my ipod touch with my computer, several albums vanish from the ipod. Fortunately I have all my music saved to my computer, but this is still extremely irritating. The albums that vanish are always different. I have a 2nd generation itouch and a 2010 macbook pro with mac os x 10.6.7 and itunes 10. Please help!

You don't.  You synch your iPod to your computer.  There's no way to synch from iPad to iPod.  You can tranfer the same playlists to your iPod from the computer.

  • I am unable to sync my ipod nano to my itunes.

I am unable to sync my ipod nano to my itunes. I have windows 8 and have updated everything on my computer and followed all of the tutorials for syncing. My ipod is recognized and my itunes says "ipod sync is complete" but I dont have any music on my ipod still... Help Please!

You probably need to set up automatic syncing.  If you have not set up anything to sync, iTunes will still sync, but sync nothing.
If you "updated everything," you probably have the new iTunes 12.  Connect the iPod.  Look on the horizontal bar that goes across the iTunes window (near the top), and click the "device button" (it looks like the connected device).  This shows the iPod's "management" screen.
In the sidebar (along left side of window), under Settings, click Music.  To the right, you see the iPod's Music screen, where you tell iTunes how to sync songs to the iPod.  Check the box for Sync Music, which enables automatic syncing for Music.  NOTE:  If that was box not checked already, and you manually added songs to the iPod previously, any songs on the iPod now that are not in your iTunes library will be lost.
Below that, if your iTunes music library is small enough to fit on your iPod completely, you can choose the option to sync Entire music library.
Otherwise, choose the option to sync Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres.  Below that, select what you want to sync from the lists of playlists, artists, albums, and genres.  The "capacity bar" at the bottom of the screen shows you how much space on the iPod you are using.  A convenient way to do this is to first create one or more playlists in your iTunes library, and put only the songs you want on the iPod on those playlists.  Or you can use existing playlists.  Then, on the iPod's Music screen, only select (checkmark) the those playlists, under Playlists.
When you click Apply, iTunes syncs your iPod based on your selection on the iPod's Music screen.  Going forward, changes in your iTunes music library sync automatically to the iPod (based on how you set up the iPod's Music screen).  If you selected playlists to sync to the iPod, to update songs on the iPod, just update those playlists in your iTunes library (add/remove songs).  The iPod does not need to be connected.  The next time you connect the iPod (or click Sync if already connected), iTunes updates the iPod with the same changes.

  • My iphone is synced to my parents computer, can i change this to sync my phoe to my laptop,if so, how?

My iphone 4 is synced to my parents computer, can I change this to sync my iphone with my laptop? If so, how?

Plug it into your computer and sync.
Since iphone will sync with only one computer at a time, your content will be erased and replaced with coneetent from your computer, so make sure you copy everything from your parents computer to yours first.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync all music and resync
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • How do I sync multiple iPods to the same iTunes Library?

How can I sync multiple iPods to the same iTunes Library?

The same way you sync just one. If y want different media on each iPod then only select the items you want synced to each iPod
iTunes: Syncing media content to iOS devices and iPod
Try syncing using the manual method
Managing content manually on iPhone, iPad, and iPod
Also, I would go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and check the box that says prevent iPods... for syncing automatically so that you can more easily check what you want syned

How is your iPod configured to sync content from your iTunes library? Any error messages during the sync process?
You may want to reset warnings on the device by right->clicking on it under Devices and choosing Reset Warnings.  Then resync the iPod to see if any alerts appear.
Is this the same computer you normally sync the Nano with?

You might consider itunes match for moving CDs you've copied into your itunes library if you dont have a way to use home sharing.
iTunes match is an optional service offered by apple that costs about $25 a year.  It scans your music library and if it finds music that is already in apple's itunes catalog it'll automatically "unlock"/"store" these in the cloud for you.  Items that it does not find in the catalog it'll upload and store these in the cloud for you and you can download them on your devices.  See http://www.apple.com/itunes/itunes-match/

  • TS2529 Hi.  The mother board on my computer went and I had to get a new computer.  My itunes files were recovered from my old computer, but I am not sure how to go about syncing my ipod to the new itunes that I just downloaded.

I am trying to sync my ipod and the new itunes library I just loaded.  My old computer basicall crashed and I had to get a new one.  They were able to recover all the data from my old computer, but there is no music listed in the new itunes library.  How do I get this to work as it did on the old computer?

    Hello cheech07,
The following article contains directions that can help get you back on track with iTunes. I'd recommend picking up at 'Part 5' of the 'External drive' section.

You may be able to redownload your iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
BTW, did you sync to the laptop before? Yu can only sync to one iTunes library. If you sync to to another library the iPod will be eerased and it contents replace with what is in the iTunes library on the computer.

  • How do I sync my Ipod with a new Itunes after losing my old Itunes when my hard drive went out?

The hard drive on the computer that I had my itunes on went out and I had to replace it, losing my itunes and other things, but I cared more about the itunes then I did with anything else. Now when I try to download itunes and try to sync my ipod, it says that if I sync it, all music with be replaced, and I don't want that. How do I sync my ipod to that new itunes without losing all my songs?
