Time lags when sending sms

hey gang, got 3250. and since past month its been acting wierd. when i try sending a message, it freezes for a while (1 full minute) and basically i cant do anything else while sending. and sometimes i cant even access the messages until i reboot the phone.
what i did:
updated the software using the online procedure.
took of battery and sim card, cleaned. placed them back
nothing happened. problem still occurs.
trying to restore to default settings, but its asking for password. i tried 1234 and 0000, unfortunatly didnt work.
can anybody provide me with the default password and additional troubleshooting methods. cuz honestly am fed up with this phone acting like a *****

i already did download the latest firmware from http://mea.nokia.com/A4346318
i cant find the sms accelerator that you recommended, if you can provide with link, that will be great.
and now that i installed the new firmware, its even acting more wierd. i cant assign speed dial.
is there a way to get rid of the whole software and reinstal the stuff again?

Because SMS goes out over mobile phone networks, the messages must be sent from a number. Since Skype does not provide a way to receive SMS messages, the closest you can get to using your own number would be to set up a mobile number (except mobiles in Japan or Mexico) as Caller ID. Then your Skype SMS messages could carry your mobile number, providing a way for people to reply to your messages.

IPhone 5s LAGS when sending pics!

I've noticed lately my phone has been lagging something terrible when sending a pic through iMessage or normal texts. It makes me feel like I didn't hit the send button. Takes about 5 seconds to finally send. Anyone else dealing with this?

Not sure about pic size, it's whatever the phone took. I was sending with a very strong wifi signal when it lagged. Has happened a few times always when I'm at home with a good wifi signal. It also happens when sending to android. It's like the phone freezes up while it's sending, then poof, it's sent! Almost seems like it needs a progress bar, instead it appears it's freezing.

Contact not selected when sending SMS

Hello,
I am using PC Suite 7.0.8.2 on WinXP Sp3 (standard user or admin: no difference); Nokia 6080; connection: USB.
Evereything seems to be ok but I have problems when composing/sending sms:
if I key in the phone number my sms is sent;
but if I choose a contact name the phone number is not displayed (I just see a semicolon and the sms is not sent (but I do not receive any error message). The same happens if I choose a contect in Contacts and then clic on "Send sms to this contact"
I have tried to uninstall and install PC Suite again, but the problem is not solved
Any idea?

ACTIVATING FACETIME AND IMESSAGES
Activating Facetime and Imessages on your phone requires the ability to send SMS messages and depending upon where you are that might be an international SMS. Check with your carrier to see if your plan supports sending of international SMS messages. If you are having trouble activating Facetime or Imessages turn them both off on your device and reset the device (Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost)). Wait for the device to restart and wait a minute and turn Facetime and imessage back on and wait for activation. If that does not fix things read the following articles:

"short message transfer rejected" when sending sms.

I recently moved back to Sweden from USA, while there I had a blackberry curve 8900 with Tmobile. Since I was moving and had proof, I broke from the contract and got an unlock pin for my phone so I could use it on any network. The phone was fine until I decided to plug the 8900 into the pc and upgrade the os to 5.xxxx or so. since then I've recieved that error message when trying to send sms. I would call my carrier but I'm in Sweden using pay as you go, so I'm not sure if I can do that.
Any help would be appreciated.

Fair enough. OS 5.x isn't very reliable on the 8900 - there are a ton of known bugs with the phone. Its one of the reason RIM pushed it out only to carries demanding the software upgrade.
If needed you can obtain earlier releases of the OS and downgrade - just remember to kill the vendor file. On a flip-note, the Sweeden carrier won't know your outside Sweeden unless you tell them

8350i: Invalid Service Center when sending SMS

Some time back I followed older posts about enabling the 8350i to copose SMS texts. Prior to that, menu options seemed to allow only MMS and not SMS. Those posts basically involved going into Options->SMS Text and changing the Data Coding to UCS2 and the Service Center to +Personal info removed (originally blank) followed by a battery pull. It all seemed to work find afterwards, that is SMS was then a menu option and sending/receiving SMS was working.
Many weeks have passed and now all of a sudden, I get an "Invalid Service Center" when I try to send an SMS. I can receive just fine but just can't send. I have attempted resetting the Data Coding and Service Center with no luck. Whenever I change the Service Center, it merely reverts back to +1personal info removed. I've tryied a Master Radio Reset with no luck as well.
Any help on what to do is appreciated.

N80 phone locks up when sending SMS

Hi!
When I first got the phone I had no problems, but lately my phone has started locking up when I send a SMS message. It stays "locked" (nothing works and it doesn't react to pushing any bottons) for 2-3min until it sends the SMS. Anyone has a similar problem? It is very annoying since you can't use the phone during these 2-3 minutes
I'd appreciate any help

Also a hard reset solved the problem on mine. Just make sure you have a back up of all the contacts etc and don't rely on the backup phone memory as my N80 doesn't do it. I had to restore using PCSuite.
Oh and you can't end Standby either it doen't do anything.

Playback Lag when sending from Color to Final Cut Pro

Hi,
Im currently editing a video in Final Cut Pro 7, everything is fine i have everything layed out perfectly in my sequence, and it plays back fine etc.
I then send it to Color, once i have finished in color, i choose to render every clip, then once that is done i try to send back to final cut, but it tells me some of the clips arent rendered, yet i try several times with choosing them all to render and rendering them.
so after a while i ignore the warning and send it back to final cut, however once back in final cut the clips play extremley laggy, almost asif its about 10% the speed, but the audio is fine?
PLEASEEEEE help, this has never happend before

I mean IN FINAL CUT, not Color. In FINAL CUT, load the clip into the VIEWER, THAT is where you check the SCALE.

Hide keypad when sending SMS

When creating a SMS is there a way to hide the keyboard when adding mutiple recipients?
When creating a message on the iPhone 4 there are three element to the screen; top field where recipients are added, centre field where text is entered, bottom field = keypad.
After creating the message and adding 6 recipients the '+' symbol to add more recipinets is no longer visible, so is there a way to hide the keypad so that the '+' symbol is accessible?

I just tried this on my phone and I noticed 2 things.
1) when you are adding more recipients and the lists gets down to the keyboard, then list of recipients moves down with the newest one so the + is always visible.
2) you can scroll up and down the list of recipients just like you would scroll up and down an internet screen.

Generic Failure when send SMS from my SMS Application

I've managed to convert the applications made for android sms to sms app for OS10. But the sms application for the OS10 failed to send the message, and show error message "Generic Failure".
While the sms app for android running well. Any one help me for solve this problem ?

Genius "times out" when sending info to Apple...!

Every time. And I have a good, fast cable connection!
Yes, I have a fairly big library (200+G).. but I'd like to use this feature.

Funny... I thought mine had fixed itself, because I had the genius window give me some "matches" for some songs. I was running to a meeting, and didn't have time to check it out.
But then I saw the updates to this thread, and decided to check again... and it wasn't working!
So I went through it again, and for 10 minutes it "gathered info", and then "sent info to apple" for another 10. And for yet another 10 minutes it said "waiting for apple to process" the information.
When I went to be last night it was still "waiting for apple to process"... so I left my computer on... and this morning IT'S STILL GOING!
Jeesh.

Problem sending SMS to non iPhone users

I have this problem when sending SMS to non iPhone users (BB users and simple phone users) they get the message in chunks... For example if I send one message with 131 characters they get the sms in 5 chunks, pieces...
I deactivated the MMS feature (in case that was that) but the problem persists...
Any ideas?

I exchange SMS on a fairly regular basis with non-iPhone users - with those who are also AT&T subscribers and with those who are not, and this has never been reported to me by any non-iPhone user that I exchange messages with.
Doubtful this is being caused by the iPhone. I suggest calling AT&T technical support to report this and be prepared to answer a question such as which carrier the non-iPhone users are with.

Suit refuses to send SMS to a "invalid recipient"

Sometimes the PC Suit for my Nokia 95 *MB refuses to send text messages to some numbers, for example a number in Israel. The Eerror message says "Recipient (number" is not valid. Can not send message." Who knows what is going on??? The number IS VALID! I called it and it works.

A workaround:
You can export the contacts as a .csv file and manually copy->replace the invalid character->insert a column as the valid numbers. Then you can import the .csv file into pc suite. When sending SMS, you can choose the "valid" number.
Still quite a lot numbers, but with a decent text editor, it's much easier than editing contacts one by one.

Time lag to print labels

I am getting time lag when trying to print labels.When I tried to take print out of some labels they are not coming out immediately.And When I saw in the spooler it showed the status as 'Waiting.After some time I didnot understand what happened and they printed out.Initially I thought there was no communication between my system and printer at that time.But that is not true.Can any one suggest me why it happens like that.

when the print options dialog box pops up at the time of printing, check the chek box 'print immediately'.
