Time Management - Building Rules

Hi All,
How to built rules in Time management so tht one absence type cannot be followed by another absence type for example Medical leave cannot be followed by Piad Leave but can be followed by Casual leave. ?

I am also working on time managment module and my scenario is CL should not be combined with any other type of leave (PL, SL). I was tring to chk the program - SAPMYXYWS90300017H, but could not find as to which transaction code to look in... Can U please tell me how to access this program..I have tried exploring it in se80 & se38...
Thanx

  • What are the major challenges for the end-user in using Positive Time Management

    Hi Seniors,
Can anybody please provide me some data on the same.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Positive time management is slightly difficult to implement compared to negative time management.
In negative time management, you use planned working times + deviations in time evaluation.
In positive time management, you record actual times through time recording system. You have to bring these times to SAP through an interface and then evaluate the actual times against the planned times and accordingly pay them out. You would need to pay attention regarding the integration between SAP R/3 and time recording system.
Building rules for positive time management is slightly more challenging compared to negative time management.
Kindly go through the below documents on positive time management which will give you more idea about the same.
Integration of Time Recording Terminals with SAP R/3
Determination of First Clock In & Last Clock Out in Positive Time Evaluation
Late Coming, Early Going and Unauthorized absence
Prorated Grant of Absence Quota for Contract Period in Time Evaluation
Splitting of Overtime Hours after X Hours in Time Evaluation
Rounding off Overtime Hours Generated via T510S table in Time Evaluation
Public Holiday Calendar and Work Schedule Rules
I hope these are helpful to you.

  • Time management - Positive

    Hi Expers,
I have query regarding time management. The scenario is I am doing SAP-HR implementation of manufacturing company who are using time machine to capture clock-in and clock-out time. Now they want us to upload this time data (In-time and out-time) of employee into SAP through BDC and process it accordingly as present, late, overtime and absent.
    My query is :
In which time infotype do i update in-out data of employee (Is it 2001, 2002 or 2011 and then move to 2001 and 2002)
How and where do i do logic building for raw in-out data being present, absent , overtime or late.
What should be the Time Management Status (0, 7 or 9),
How do i link attendance of employee with work schedule of employee
Thanks a lot for your support.
    Regards,
    Jyoti

    Hi,
    1. It won't update the 2002 infotype, until you write coding to store the timings. If you have clock in, outs..you can upload into 2011IT. In this record pair formation is there as per standard. It you update in 2002 there is no pair formation, you have to create 2 attendance types and need to update the clock in,out. But, in 2011 no need to create/configure anything else. Here we can store the actual date of the employee timings. so better suggestion, write BDC program with abaper then upload the clock in, out. Before updating clock -in, out , maintain the 0050IT.
Time data get process in payroll by the PARTT function, if you have overtime then it will with ZLIT function time date will process in payroll. you can get the no.of working days, calendar days(present days) in in ur payslip. for this you can use TKSOLL, TSSOLL.
    2. After clock out employee, system will check the excess hours of the employee, if employee worked more than work schedule hours, then system will consider as overtime i.e, excess hours after clock out.
Group A:  after excess hours we can pay overtime remuneration to employee by end of the month. ZL table will pass the no.of hours into payroll system by time wage type. For this, you have create one time wage type and update the Processing class 17 - A specification.
Group B: Transfer the excess hours(overtime ) into one time type, assign this time type to absence quota in base entitlement. then you can create the leave type and assign this leave to to absence quota. then employee can take the paid leaves. or you can encash the leaves.
Group C: for 8:30 hour overtime you have to write a rule for this condition. You can convert the excess hours into leaves(as per group B), for less than 8:30 hours then need to go with PCR. and you can pay as ex-gratio by maining 14, 15IT
Group D: follow the Group B procedure.
    3. for late coming purpose you have to write one rule by quering PBEG, PEND.
I hope you will understand the above.
    Regards.
    Devi.

  • Query on Time Management Status

    Dear Team,
    Scenario:
We have some employees wherein the time evaluation will be evaluated for the status of 9 in Planned Working Time Infotype. After a period of time, these employees will be sent for education and no leaves are entitled. In this case, the time management status will be changed to 0. No time evaluation.
The accrued leaves will still be available for the employee while going to this education for example 20 days.
We have customized a rule, which will carry forward the last year balance to the current year balance on every 1st of the year.
In the above case, if an employee completes his education and returns back in the middle of the year other than the 1st day of the year, in this case, the carry forward of leave is not taking place.
    My assumptions:
I would like to know an operation which would query the Previous Day Time Management Status and Current Day Time Management Status. If I can able to do this, if it is YES, the last old previous balance to be carried forward....
Please let me know if any other alternative method.
    Thanks and Regards
    Team Member.

    Hello Mallikarjun,
If you are planning on controlling thru a rule in schema, you can approach this way. Whenever an EE returns from education, change IT0007 time mgmt status to 9 along with additional time indicator say 'ED'. You can query the additional time indicator status in a rule thru the operation 'OUTWPATIND'. Hope this helps your requirement.

  • Design of Time Management infocube

Hi, I need the help of HR BW experts!!!
    The scenario is this:
    1) I'm loading transactional data for time and accidents through Flat files into an ODS
    2) My final cube, must have the 0EMPLOYEE and their attributes as well to use in reports
    3) I  know master data 0EMPLOYEE is time dependant.
    4) I added attributes as fieds in my Cube (for performance reasons). The question is WHICH IS THE BEST WAY TO FILL ALL ATTR?
I'm looking at the standard. In the doc there is 2 routines: Personne and a Global routine. But I can not see them!!! Even this, I understand that this attributes must be filled with the values according to the date of loadind (business rule).
So, do I have to create a function - routine to read master data according to the DATE of loading?
Or it is already done in the standard?
In SAP note 336229, it says:
    4.All attributes of 0PERSON and 0EMPLOYEE must be time-dependent.
Maintenance of the validity slice (Transaction RSDV) for InfoCube 0PAPA_C02 after the first load of data:to-mode 'Fixed value' and '31.12.9998' as a date
What is it? Can apply for PT??
Please, if somebody has implemented this, PT information, Time Management, tell me which is the best solution for this, having into account performance issues.
    Thank you!!
    Regards
    Rosana

    0employee has time dependent attributes.
So, when you are loading the transactional data, the system will check the attribute value, which is valid currently and load the data accordingly.
    Lets say
0employee   Valid from    Valid to           Country
    10001           21.03.2008   22.03.2009      IN
    10001           23.03.2009    31.12.9999     SG
Country is an attribute of 0employee.
When you are loading the data today, the system will check the valid country ( country = SG is valid today) and fill the attributes.
    Hope this is clear.

  • Time Management Status Default

Hi All - Prior to employees being onboarded we enter an 'Initial Hire' action that creates a few infotypes for them including IT0007 (Planned Working Time). The business wants the Time Management Status to default on IT0007. However, we can't default it in TMSTA because they are set up with the same PA/PSA/EG/ESG as they are during their 'Completed Hire' action. We are attempting to default this in dynamic actions but have been unsuccessful (see below). Does anyone have any suggestions?
    0000 6 423 P PSPAR-MASSN='ZA'
    0000 6 425 W P0007-ZTERF= '0'

    Hi,
You need the insert statement too. Try this:
    0000 6 423 P PSPAR-MASSN='ZA'
    0000 6 425 I INS,0007,,,(P0000-BEGDA),(P0000-ENDDA)
    0000 6 427 W P0007-ZTERF= '0'
    Feature TMSTA information:
It uses structure PME01 and that only contains action reason (MASSG), so you could build your decision tree based on action reason. You may want to have a unique reason code tied only to your ZA action. Iu2019d imagine you would only have one reason code for this initial entry action as it is only for a temporary use.
Alternatively, you can change the structure of feature TMSTA from PME01 to PME04. You would then have action (MASSN) and action reason (MASSG) available for building the feature.
    Hope this helps.

  • Hierarchy of Time Management Terms

    Hi Gurus,
I am new to Time Management.
I was going through the Help for Time Management. But very much confused with the terms Work Shcedule, Daily Work Schedule, Personnel Subarea grouping, Personal Work Schedule, Periodic Work Schedule, Break Schedule, Work Schedule Rule etc. I understood each and everyt term. But was unable to establish a hierarchy among them.
Can somebody give a clear picture of this hierarchy.
    Thanks,
    Sankar.

    Hello Sankar,
    Ok, here you go:
The basic unit in time management to form a time schedule is the Daily work schedule (DWS). This is customized in table T550A. In this table you must set all the parameters that form your schedule. So first you have to define if the schedule is flexible or not and whether it has breaks or not. If it has breaks, you have to customize them first in table T550P and then assign them to your DWS.
After you do this, you have to customize the period work schedules (PWS) in table T551A. These are no other than sequences of DWS. So for example you can have a normal office shift that goes from Mondays to Sundays, with Saturdays and Sundays off, repeated every week. So your PWS will be a sequence of 5 equal DWS plus two DWS with zero working hours for Sat and Sun.
After you do this, you have to customize your DWS rules in table T508A, that are actually a PWS with a starting point. Think of the PWS as a wheel: your shifts are sequences of steps that repeat themselves periodically, like the normal weekly office shifts. But this is not enough to identify what DWS the employee has to do a specific day, since you have to tell the system when exactly to set the starting point for the sequence. You do this by customizing a DWS rule. This is the "object" that you assign to the employee in infotype 0007.
Of course, like many concepts in HR, DWS, PWS, breaks and DWS rules are customized by groupings of employees and / or personnel areas and subareas. I suggest that you take a look at the tables I mentioned to have an idea on how to set these groupings.
    Good luck!
    Rodrigo

  • ISE Time Management for Sponsor Portal User

    Hi all,
I'm currently using ISE version 1.2 and when I create a custom time management for each user, the rule applied to each user is only applied for a maximum 10 days eventhough I configured it for ex.30 days.
want to check with all of you if anyone have the same issue?
Firstly I think it's because the purge time is default set for 15 days, but even when I already changed it. The expiration time will still not get over than 10 days.
    Cheers
    Ryan

    Default Guest Time Profiles
Time profiles provide a way to give different levels of time access to different guest accounts. Sponsors must assign a time profile to a guest when creating an account, but they cannot make changes to the time profiles. However, you can customize them and specify which time profiles can be used by particular sponsor groups. Beginning with Cisco ISE 1.2 time profiles are referred to as the account duration in the Sponsor portal.
Cisco ISE 1.2 includes these default time profiles, which replace the profiles available previously:
•DefaultFirstLoginEight—the account is available for 8 hours starting when the guest user first successfully connects to the Guest portal. This replaces the DefaultFirstLogin time profile.
•DefaultEightHours—the account is available for 8 hours starting when sponsors first create the account. This replaces the DefaultOneHour time profile.
•DefaultStartEnd—sponsors can specify dates and times on which to start and stop network access.
If you upgrade to Cisco ISE 1.2, the older time profiles are still available, but you can delete them if you are not using them. If the older time profiles are assigned to a sponsor group, a message alerts you before deleting. If you perform a new installation of Cisco ISE 1.2, only the new time profiles display.

  • Error in invoking the build rule editor, LabView 2011

Hi all.  I'm having a problem in Project Explorer.  When I right-click on 'Build Specifications' and select New:Application (EXE), I get the following error dialog:
"There was an error in invoking the build rule editor. Please check the corresponding provider directory to see if any VIs are broken."
After this appears, no build specification is created.
I built this application in LabView 2010 on WinXP and was able to compile and run it sucessfully many times over the last few weeks.
The problem started yesterday when I had a problem with a Ring control. I right-clicked it and selected "Edit items" or "Properties" the cursor blinked for a moment but the dialog box did not appear.  I removed the Ring control and replaced it with a String control, then when I tried to build the application, I got this error message.  At that time, I also noticed that I could not get a Properties dialog box to appear for any controls or indicators.
Yesterday, I installed NI Developer Suite 2011 Version DS2. This seems to have fixed the problem with the dialog boxes and I was able to use the Ring control. However, I still have the problem with the build rule editor.
To determine if there was a problem in my program, I built a new 'Hello World' .vi with just a string control and string indicator. This program has the same problem when trying to build to an .exe.
Currently, I am trying to remove all previous versions of LabView. When that is done, I will reboot and try to build again.  If that doesn't work, I will remove ALL National Instruments software and re-install NI Developer Suite 2011 DS2.
I'm hoping someone can provide a solution before it comes to that.
Two other facts which might be relevant:  I don't have Administrator on this machine, although I could probably get it if I could make a strong case. Also, I can't be sure, but I think the problem may have started when I undocked my laptop from the docking station to go to a meeting.
I appreciate your help.  Thanks in advance.

If you need additional assistance, I encourage you to create a new thread. It is more likely to be answered by other users as a fresh post.
The most likely cause is a corrupted file (or files) in the builder directory.
I would  recommend renaming/moving the following folders and performing a repair install of LabVIEW:
    \National Instruments\LabVIEW 2011\vi.lib\AppBuilder
    \National Instruments\LabVIEW 2011\resource
