Time Management Query

Hi Guys,
What is the real use of Shift Group in time management
Hi Guys if i want to connect my sap software with other software to collect data employees Clock in/Clock Out time what will be th e procedure in IMG to connect with subsystem,so that the data would upload in 0050 it

Hi Surjit,
If the Time Recording system is a SAP certified one then there can be a direct link with our SAP system and this will have to be taken care by ur technical team and the vendor.
If the Time Recording system is not an SAP Certified system then the data has to be downloaded in a falt file and has to be put in the application server and this can be scheduled as a background job so that the time pairs will be moved to IT2011.
Thanks

  • Query on Time Management Status

    Dear Team,
    Scenario:
We have some employees wherein the time evaluation will be evaluated for the status of 9 in Planned Working Time Infotype. After a period of time, these employees will be sent for education and no leaves are entitled. In this case, the time management status will be changed to 0. No time evaluation.
The accrued leaves will still be available for the employee while going to this education for example 20 days.
We have customized a rule, which will carry forward the last year balance to the current year balance on every 1st of the year.
In the above case, if an employee completes his education and returns back in the middle of the year other than the 1st day of the year, in this case, the carry forward of leave is not taking place.
    My assumptions:
I would like to know an operation which would query the Previous Day Time Management Status and Current Day Time Management Status. If I can able to do this, if it is YES, the last old previous balance to be carried forward....
Please let me know if any other alternative method.
    Thanks and Regards
    Team Member.

    Hello Mallikarjun,
If you are planning on controlling thru a rule in schema, you can approach this way. Whenever an EE returns from education, change IT0007 time mgmt status to 9 along with additional time indicator say 'ED'. You can query the additional time indicator status in a rule thru the operation 'OUTWPATIND'. Hope this helps your requirement.

  • Manage query - run time errors

    Hi,
we have one user working at one desktop which receives error "run-time error 5" followed by "401 Automation error" when selecting the manage query wizard proceeding from the BPC Excel action pane.
We only have this at one desktop. Any ideas?

    Hi,
You can check the query run time by using T code RSRT.
    1. Go to T code RSRT
    2. Give your query name.
    3. Click on the "Execute + Debug" tab
    4. Various check boxed for Debug options will appear on the screen
    5. Under the "Others" node you will find the check box for "Display Statics Data"
    6. Check this check box and click on continue.
    7. This will execute the query and provide you selection screen if any.
    8. Once the query is completely executed, click on "back" button or simply hit F3.
    9. This takes you to the "Statistic Data for Query Runtime screen"
    10. Here you can take the total of "Duration" column to get the total duration for query execution.
Please refer following link for details:

  • Waht does time management status 0 without payroll integration mean

In our project, the client does not want to use time evaluation and so, we have set the time management status value as 0 (no time evaluation). Also, the client is not implementing (at least now) SAP-Payroll, as they are processing payroll through a different software. We have configured work schedules ( they need just 4 different work schedules) and assigned appropriate ork schedules to all employees in infotype 0007. We have also configured one absence quota (Earned Leave of 20 days per year).
My query is how will the system behave now with time management status value as 0? Can we process absence quotas? What is the use of work schedules, in this context, as any way the system does not evaluate employee time in Time Management. Neither the time wage types are evaluted in Payroll, as SAP Payroll is not implemented.
    -Shambhvi

My thanks to all of you. I would like to summarize the answer for my query:
Since time management status = 0, there won't be any time evaluation, which means attendance and absence data, even if entered won't be evaluated in Time Management. Since Payroll is not implemented, the question of time data getting evaluated in Payroll does not exist. However, absence quotas can be maintained, irrespective of the value of time managment status.
Please correct me, if my understanding is wrong

  • Time management - Positive

    Hi Expers,
I have query regarding time management. The scenario is I am doing SAP-HR implementation of manufacturing company who are using time machine to capture clock-in and clock-out time. Now they want us to upload this time data (In-time and out-time) of employee into SAP through BDC and process it accordingly as present, late, overtime and absent.
    My query is :
In which time infotype do i update in-out data of employee (Is it 2001, 2002 or 2011 and then move to 2001 and 2002)
How and where do i do logic building for raw in-out data being present, absent , overtime or late.
What should be the Time Management Status (0, 7 or 9),
How do i link attendance of employee with work schedule of employee
Thanks a lot for your support.
    Regards,
    Jyoti

    Hi,
    1. It won't update the 2002 infotype, until you write coding to store the timings. If you have clock in, outs..you can upload into 2011IT. In this record pair formation is there as per standard. It you update in 2002 there is no pair formation, you have to create 2 attendance types and need to update the clock in,out. But, in 2011 no need to create/configure anything else. Here we can store the actual date of the employee timings. so better suggestion, write BDC program with abaper then upload the clock in, out. Before updating clock -in, out , maintain the 0050IT.
Time data get process in payroll by the PARTT function, if you have overtime then it will with ZLIT function time date will process in payroll. you can get the no.of working days, calendar days(present days) in in ur payslip. for this you can use TKSOLL, TSSOLL.
    2. After clock out employee, system will check the excess hours of the employee, if employee worked more than work schedule hours, then system will consider as overtime i.e, excess hours after clock out.
Group A:  after excess hours we can pay overtime remuneration to employee by end of the month. ZL table will pass the no.of hours into payroll system by time wage type. For this, you have create one time wage type and update the Processing class 17 - A specification.
Group B: Transfer the excess hours(overtime ) into one time type, assign this time type to absence quota in base entitlement. then you can create the leave type and assign this leave to to absence quota. then employee can take the paid leaves. or you can encash the leaves.
Group C: for 8:30 hour overtime you have to write a rule for this condition. You can convert the excess hours into leaves(as per group B), for less than 8:30 hours then need to go with PCR. and you can pay as ex-gratio by maining 14, 15IT
Group D: follow the Group B procedure.
    3. for late coming purpose you have to write one rule by quering PBEG, PEND.
I hope you will understand the above.
    Regards.
    Devi.

  • Time Management: How to call birth year of an employee through PCR?

    Hi Friends...
This is related to Time Management PCR. Can you help me in calling the birth year(1980 for example) of an employee through any operation? It would help a lot.
    Thank you all in advance

    Hi Friends...
I agree that we will get the difference of years, months and days with IT0041. There is another option also available from PCR to get the difference between 2 dates. But, we need the birth year only here to serve the following requirement...
Irrespective of the month and day, if employee is born in 1980, He should get 20 days of quota in the year 2013.
    1981 - 2014
    1982 - 2015
    and so on
So, here neither months, nor days are going to help. We need to query the birth year..so that we will do BCURYR-XXXXX(Birth year) and if it is 33 years..He will get 20 days -
    this is for example.
Hope you are now clear with the requirement. Can you please help.

  • Finding query access frequency or how many times a query has been executed?

    Dear Experts
I need to find the total number of access frequency of individual queries that are requested by the users say at a particular time.
Say there are 20 distinct queries requested in the time difference of 3 hours. All of the 20 queries or some of the queries may be requested for more than 2/3 times at that time by other users. By the way say query Q1 is requested 5 times at that so its query access frequency or how many times this query is executed is 5.
From where and how can I can find this counting of query access frequency or how many times a query has been executed at particular time or a session?
Normally we know the there SQL history dynamic performance views or if it can be possible to query the Shared pool library cache for SQL area it may be possible to find the total number of execution time for a query. But how to find that if anyone knows, please help me about this.

That's one of the stats reported by statspack - assuming that your query does sufficient work to meet the thresholds for the standard report. Executions is of course one of the columns of v$sql so you might just wish to sample that yourself. Finally if you are on 11g and the sql you are interested is relatively low resource intensive and you are licensed for AWR then you can use the slightly madly named "colored sql" feature that ensures that a specific statement will always be sampled for AWR.

  • What are the major challenges for the end-user in using Positive Time Management

    Hi Seniors,
Can anybody please provide me some data on the same.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Positive time management is slightly difficult to implement compared to negative time management.
In negative time management, you use planned working times + deviations in time evaluation.
In positive time management, you record actual times through time recording system. You have to bring these times to SAP through an interface and then evaluate the actual times against the planned times and accordingly pay them out. You would need to pay attention regarding the integration between SAP R/3 and time recording system.
Building rules for positive time management is slightly more challenging compared to negative time management.
Kindly go through the below documents on positive time management which will give you more idea about the same.
Integration of Time Recording Terminals with SAP R/3
Determination of First Clock In & Last Clock Out in Positive Time Evaluation
Late Coming, Early Going and Unauthorized absence
Prorated Grant of Absence Quota for Contract Period in Time Evaluation
Splitting of Overtime Hours after X Hours in Time Evaluation
Rounding off Overtime Hours Generated via T510S table in Time Evaluation
Public Holiday Calendar and Work Schedule Rules
I hope these are helpful to you.
    Thanks and regards,
