Time Mgmt Problem

Hi SAP Gurus
We have been having an issue with vacation updating properly after time has been ran. when this person was hired I updated the record accordingly with the proper vacation, vacation date on IT0041. Once time was ran, the effective and end date are the same and that is causing the vacation hours to only show up in that month and not afterwards.please can any body explain me why this is happening.

Krishna

Check the Validy and Deduction Intervals.
There may be problem in that.

  • SAP LSO - Time Mgmt integration

    Hello Gurus
Iu2019m working in a SAP environment where are managed companies in more countries and all companies are using SAP Learning Solution (ECC6.00 EhP4).
We are introducing a new country A, in which is managed company X, having 3 personnel subarea (PS1, PS2, PS3). In country A we are introducing SAP Time Management module too, to be integrated with SAP Learning Solution.
Since PS3 has a different mgmt in Time, we have defined 2 PS groupings, one for PS1 and PS2, and the other for PS3.
For the 2 PS groupings, we customized 2 attendance reasons for training:
    0110 u2013 Training as attendee
    0111 u2013 Training as instructor
Even if we have 2 different PS grouping, we need to maintain the same coding for absence and attendance reasons.
The integration SAP LSO and Time Mgmt has been activated and itu2019s perfectly working.
Unluckily, the requirement of the company X is to receive automatically attendance records from SAP LSO for the employees belonging to PS1 and PS2, but not to PS3, because all attendances and absences of employees in PS3 are coming via interface from an external system.
We canu2019t filter the 2 attendance reasons coming from this interface, because not all type of training is managed in SAP.
    My questions are:
    1. Do you know if it is possible to disable the SAP LSO integration for PS3? How can I do that?
    2. There will be technical problem for countries not managing Time solution? Will SAP LSO try to send attendance records to Time also for these countries? How can I avoid that?
    Many thanks for your help
    Regards

    Hi Katia,
You can manage all your business scenarios using BADI (SE18) HRTEM_INT_ZW "HR-TEM: Badi for Integration TEM - Time Management".

  • Issue in Positive Time Mgmt

Dear SAP - HR Experts .
In My Client side , they want to shift for Positive Time Mgmt (want to capture actual times).
They Usually run payroll on 25th day of every month .
if they implement Positive Time in Company then they will have Time Evaluation up to 25th of the month .
Suppose if a employee took two days absences from durring the period of 26th to 31st Jan . but we have Time Evaluation up to 25th day only and we run payroll for Jan upto 1st to 31st .
in that case Employee will recieve complete salary , while in actaul scenrio he was absent for 2 days .
so client have some quries about this situation ...
Q 1 : How his salary will deduct and recover the absence of 2 days  ?
Q 2 : How we have to run  Time Evaluation from 26th  to 31th day of Jan .
    Q 3 : what changes are required in PA03 and PU03 ?
    Regards : rajneesh
Edited by: Rajneesh Kumar on Feb 13, 2009 8:53 AM

    Hi Rajneesh,
Time evaluation period can vary from the payroll periods. You can run the payroll from first of the month till last day and Time evaluation from 26th of previous month till 25th of current month. In this situation employee will be paid for the whole month by the payroll and it will not take into account the absences/sick etc that took place after 25th of the month till the month end.
Later when you do Time evaluation during the following month system will capture those 2 days (as you mentioned) sick/absence took place after 25th of current month and it will deduct the amounts from the Payroll of the following month. But it will not deduct from the current month as the Time evaluation was only done till 25th of the month.
It doenst need any changes in PA03 / PU03
    Hope this clarifies your query.
    Thanks,
    Tara

  • Help, I am about to pull my hair out, can't get into a locked drive and Time Machine problem

I've screwed everything up, I think.  I had Time Machine doing backups to an external 500Gig drive and somehow it got locked.  I went into Get Info to try and change the access but it won't allow me.  On top of this problem, my original drive died and I can't get into Time Machine to restore.  When I click "Enter Time Machine", nothing happens.  I created an eDisk and a startup disk to another external drive that I'm using now, but since everything that's been backed up is on the other drive that I can't access.  When I try accessing the drive it gives:  "The folder “G-DRIVE ” can’t be opened because you don’t have permission to see its contents."  I'm not knowledgeable enough to work from the command line, so if I need to do that to access the drive, please walk me though it.  As for the Time Machine problem, I have no idea how to recover anything since it won't even come up, it just sits there.  Outside of blowing my brains out, I don't know what to do.  Any help would be greatly appreciated as I can't afford to take it to Apple to let them try and fix it.

Hello, not sure how this might affect a TM drive, or not, but...
Here is what i needed to do for my drive "320GB HD", the last command is just for clean up
Open Terminal and type these commands carefully with the spaces & change 320GB HD to the name of your drive.
    sudo chflags 0 "/volumes/320GB HD"
    sudo chown root "/volumes/320GB HD"
    sudo chmod 1775 "/volumes/320GB HD"
    sudo -k
That said, these should be sufficient to do the job:
    sudo chflags 0 "/Volumes/320GB HD"
    sudo chmod a+rx "/Volumes/320GB HD"

  • Time out problem in BPS

    BPS friends,
We have a planning function to copy Versions based with some filters. The copy function takes 5 hours and times out after that. The function is reaching max buffer size as recommended by SAP so we cant increase the buffer size anymore.
    We are on BW-BPS 3.5.
How can I solve this time out problem? Please respond to me.

    Hi Pat,
How many record did you copy ??
Could you restrict the copy in not 1 package ??
    Package per package ...
    I suggest you ..
    e.g. you have restriction by a 0CALMONTH / something ..
    Then,
You can copy e.g. for January to March, then March to August, etc.
You can automate it by planning sequence.
Hopefully it can help you a lot.

    Niel.

  • Time offset problems with file i/o

Hello everyone, I'm having a problem with the file i/o VI's. I require my application to save serial data at constant five minute intervals. The problem I'm currently seeing is that on each save to a file a time offset is being added which eventually becomes seconds, then minutes and so on. Since this application is meant to be run for a whole year this is a serious problem.
Attached is the VI, an Arduino program simulating how the DAQ sends data and a file showing my time offset problem.
    Any ideas/suggestions/fixes are appreciated.
    Thanks
    Jose Molina
    P.S.
To run the VI upload the code to an Arduino, select it's serial port in the popup VI then click on Ok. The VI will wait for a time that is a modulo of 5 then create a folder structure inside the same location as the LLB. Inside this folder structure should be a file with the data which should be saved every five minutes if left at the default averaging time.

Sorry I forgot to mention that the averaging time is configurable in the pop up vi at the start. I tried 20 seconds because it's much faster for testing than 5 minutes. Timing is being done by a simple counter that increments each time data is received. So if I receive data the timer increments by 5 because data is sent every 5 seconds. Once the timer is equal to the averaging time the data is sent to the enqueue function and then the blocking dequeue function on the second loop sends the data to the file save vi which then saves the data to the file.

  • Time consuming problem in Self update rule

    Hi all:
We have time consuming problem in self update rule.I have ODS ZOMS001,for this we created self update rule.In process chain we include this self update rule and during delta update,it takes 20 to 25 mins even if there is two records or 10000 records. In delta for this self update rule,it takes the whole records in ODS
EX: If i have 10000 records during initialise and 10 records in Delta update...For the delta self update rule it takes 100010 records..But it only update delta records values.
we have to reduce the total time consuming for this self update during delta..
    Waiting for your inputs.
It would be helpful for your valuable reply.

I think retransporting is the only option available to you. You cannot modify anything in your production system.
IF you have a chance to speak with basis people, ask them to open the system status to modifiable for few minutes.
and make necessary changes in production and bring it back to normal (This is not a best practise in all situations).
    hope this helps.

    Regards : Rajneesh (9873607039)
Edited by: Rajneesh Kumar on Nov 18, 2008 6:02 AM

    Hi Rajneesh,
When you run time evaluation through PT60 schema TM00 you will get the following:
    1. Clock in and Clock out entry
All recorded time data documenting the actual attendance times or the actual absence times of employees.
Actual time has the opposite meaning of planned working time.
    Example:
According to the work schedule, an employee is supposed to work from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on December 3, 1999 (planned working time). The actual time data (actual times) from this day is shown below:
    8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Attendance
    2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Absence - doctor's appointment
    2. SKELETON TIME
skeleton time is a time account in which payment-related times of an employee are managed.
Skeleton time is determined in time evaluation.
    Example:
Skeleton time in the standard SAP System consists of:
u2022     Attendance, absence, and off-site work within a contractual period (start and end of working time)
u2022     Overtime hours that exceed approved overtime
    u2022     Paid break times
    3. FLEXTIME
Working time pattern in which employees can individually determine their own start and end times, as long as a certain number of hours is worked within a defined period of time each day.
    *4. FILL TIME
A specific period of working time described in time evaluation that lies within the contractual start and end of working time (excluding breaks).
If an employee works a flextime schedule and is also expected to be at work at certain times (core times), then fill time indicates the difference between the start and end of working time (without breaks) and the core times
    5. PRODUCTIVE TIME
The usable working time for a resource. The system determines the productive time using the working time data and utilization rate for the resource as follows:
Productive time = (End of working time - start of working time - break
    duration) x Rate of utilization / 100%.
You estimate the downtime at the resource using the utilization rate.
And the results of the following will depend on your settings...
Time evaluation will update the quotas and it will form time balances
I hope this information is enough to understand...for more clarifications revert to me..
    Regards,
    KPJ

    Hi,
If u try to  create absence on Off day(weekly off) & Non working day(Public holiday), the system will throw an Error or Warning msg like "First day is Dayoff" or "Absence during Non working period " .
If u select W(ie, warning) or I(Information) options, the system will give only warning message and it wont count that day as Absence day. If u select E(Error) option ,the system wont allow to create absence on that particular day.
It's only applicable on days like weekly off & Public holiday.
    Cheers

  • Time Machine problems

My question is this: Is there any way to force Time Machine to make a complete backup of all files, not just the recently changed ones?
    My story so far:
Installed Leopard yesterday. Detected brand-new (and newly Mac formatted Extended Journaled) Seagate 300GB hard drive and asked if I wanted to use it for Time Machine. Answered yes. Thought I was through with worrying about Time Machine- wrong! First backups went OK- so I thought. First one took several hours and seemed to back up the whole drive. Subsequent ones were shorter, which seemed to make sense. After a couple backups had been performed, decided to see if I could "go back in time". The only window to show up was the original backup (which I never bothered to check to see if it truly was complete). This morning I was greeted with an error that it couldn't do the backup because it couldn't complete the library.
So I come to this forum and read posts advising me to reformat my drive and name it with no spaces (it was previously "Backup Disk"). I did that, erasing all previous backups. Seemed to help, but...
Now, unfortunately, Time Machine doesn't realize that the backups are not there anymore and will not do a complete backup with my completely empty external drive. I even tried removing the com.apple.TimeMachine.plist file from its place in the directory to see if that would force the program to build a new library. It didn't.
Not even sure that making a complete backup again will solve all my Time Machine problems but it's a start!

I had this same problem when I first started using my Time Machine on my MBP. I had a portable drive (Western Digital 160 gig passport drive).
I was advised by the tech to do the following before the first use of the drive:
    1. Turn off the time machine
    1. format the drive with your disk utility.
    3. configure the time machine for the drive.
    4. Turn on the time machine. Make sure your not backing up anything but your main hard drive. (Your shouldn't back up any other external hard drives). At least not the first time you run Time machine.
    5. start the backup.
The first backup is always the longest, but it shouldn't take that long, especially if your doing the Macbook Air.
    Hope this helps.
