Time out connection in the classes12.zip

Hello,
How can I change the time out connection to my database in Java ? I use the JDBC thin driver (classes12.zip) to connect to an 8.1.6 standard Oracle edition on an NT Server.
I tested a network problem connection removing the network cable and then my application waits 20 minutes to raise an exception.
Thanks
Guillaume Facon

You need to set a tcpip timeout at the os level. Oracle jdbc does not support timeouts.

These are the three I use and I get 1 or 2 updates a day on most days....why?

  • I get error time out connection

i want to upgrade my ipad 1 software (i have 4.2.1 version and i want to upgrade it to a next version, as Itunes store suggests me every time i open it) but after the usual time of 13 minutes upgrade, i get this error: time out connection, contact your provider or control your connection (but it does function elsewhere)
how can i solve it? (excuse my bad english)

For me it worked when I switched the virus protection off while doing the installation. After you run the installation you then switch the virus protection back on.
Hope it works for you too!

  • Genius time out connection

I have installed Itunes and I have tried to switch genius on but every time i try it, it tells me i have a connection time out when I am sending my results to Apple . Does anybody know of what i am doing wrong and how i fix it. Thanks

I've had this same time-out problem since the Genius feature was new. I have a large iTunes library and tried everything in the book. Nothing worked.
The solution that I found in another thread on this exact topic was to bypass the router if you have one and connect your modem directly to you computer.
I had an Airport Extreme (g and n) and now have a Time Capsule. So something with those devices was preventing me from turning on the Genius feature. If this solution works for you and you have an Airport Extreme, let the folks at Apple know via their feedback form.

  • I can't get my ipad3 to backup using iCloud.. It times out right at the end of backup

I can't get my ipad3 to backup using iCloud.. It times out right at the end of backup. The blue bar nearly fills up and right at the end a message pops up saying the backup could not be completed.

Tried that.. No joy. Just tried to synch again with iCloud . The bar gets nearly to the end and then stops. Says below it - estimated time remaining.... I'm confused. If I synch to my computer is this the same as synching to iCloud. It's shame it's doesn't work!

  • Keep getting time out connection error when my macair tries to connect to Internet, but my iPad, phone and PC connect straight away. It happens on and off what could be the problem?

Having trouble connecting to Internet with my MacBook Air. It can be fine for a few hours thins goes off and all I get it the message couldn't connect due to time out error connection. It can't be my broadband because I don't have the same problem with my other devices. Is my mac air breaking down?

looks like this is your network connection settings problem, you'd better only keep one network adaptor online and linked, if you do not understand how to setup windows routing, this is completely not firefox problem. buddy. wish you goodluck.

  • Time-out limit of the 8451-I2C interface for hold-master condition

I am working with Windows XP, Labview 8 and the USB-8451 I2C to USB interface-box.
We intend to incorporate the USB-8451 into our product evaluation kits for a new sensor product.
This evaluation kits should be used by our customers when they start working with our sensor products.
The I2C-device is a digital sensor which generates a hold-master condition with difference length, depending on the sensor configuration.
The hold-master is produced by the sensor after full transmassion of  start-bit, address, read-bit and ACK.
After the hold master is suspended three bytes can be read by the master.
If the hold-master is kept by the sensor for 25 ms or less I have no problems. When keeping it significantly longer the interface seems not to work properly anymore. I don't get a LabView Error-Message but the PC (Windows?) creates a 'ding-dong' sound very similar to disconnecting and connection a USB device. (the 8451???). My LabView-Program does not show sensor data after this.
I can imagine that the hold-master is somehow too long for one element in the system.
Is there any time-out period for hold-master defined for the USB-8451?
How can I change it to higher values?
Thank you very much for your support!

    Dear Member,
That's right. If somebody encounter this problem again.
You should contact your local NI branch that will install the new firmware
version (that works with the last driver version)

  • Connection time out, connection time out

i've got a mac mini in my living room wich is hooked up to a modem and one wich is standing in my bedroom.
When i try to connect my bedroom mini by wifi it wil tell me: "connection time out" and i haven't got a clue on how to resolve this.
    please help, thnx in advance!
i haven't got an external wifi transmitter if that might be of interest

Are you trying to share the Internet connection from one Mac mini to the other? That is, the mini in the living room that is connected to the Internet modem by Ethernet to share this Internet connection via the mini's AirPort card to the mini in the bedroom ... correct?
If so, approximately how far away from each other are the minis and how many walls, ceilings, floors, etc. are between them?

  • Socket mostly times out, connection refused.

    Hello,
I am writing my own version of dc-hub in Java. This is my first networking program I make.
The main class has a ServerSocket running on port 411 and it will then make another socket when someone connects. Although at the moment 198 users are connected, it seems that the server mostly gives a time out when you try to connect. It's not a firewall problem, because I get them (localhost) as well. The server also runs on localhost.
    This is the code:
    ServerSocket serverSock = new ServerSocket(411);while(true) {      Socket sock = serverSock.accept();      new ConnectorThread(sock,P,U);}
I really have no clue why I and a lot of other users get time outs...
I'll post the results from the client program (DC++):
[17:39] *** Connection refused by target machine
    [17:39] *** Connecting to localhost...
[17:39] *** Connection refused by target machine
    [17:39] *** Connecting to localhost...
[17:40] *** Connection refused by target machine
    [17:40] *** Connecting to localhost...
    [17:40] *** Connected
    [17:40] <Hub-Security> Welcome to Tom's personal hubsoftware V1.0
Oh... yeah... I get Connection refused, while my friends are receiving "Connection time out..."
Again: It's not a firewall or router problem... I know that 100% sure...
I hope someone knows how to fix this problem, I've searched the forum without a result for my problem.
    Thank you in advance,
    Tom
