Time out issue for many users

Hello all
many users reported us TIMEOUT issue in our system
we wanted to extract the report how many users were faced the same issue and why they have received  400 Session time out error.
what parameter needs to be adjusted in SRM to avoid the same problem
any help is appreciated and piece of information on this help .

Hi Muthuraman,
The error you are experiencing is caused by the icm/conn_timeout parameter being exceeded. You should increase this parameter to solve your issue. Also there are a number of other parameters that will cause the webdispatcher and ICM to close a connection.

    hello ..
    i have problem.. as always
    my time capsule is connected to dsl modem (off(bridge mode)), in modem we can get only 10 ip adresses and no more. so when there are 10 pc connected to our wifi, no more can connect.... how can i set up my time capsule, so more people can join our wifi...? is it even possible?
    P.S.
    1) to our wifi is connected printer, so everybody can print...
    2) every pc uses time capsule as bacup place in time machine.

    You often see this limit of 10 clients in wireless hotspots but I have yet to see it in an adsl modem.. most strange way to pay for a service that is really irrelevant how many clients you use.
    Have a go .. I recently setup a TC to help a guy run his Roku.. and this setup worked well.. I have no idea if it can work in your case.
    Lets say the IP you get is 192.168.2.1-10 .. doesn't matter what it really is. And the adsl modem is 192.168.2.254
    (Assuming they are private addresses.. if they are public IP you can just use the DHCP and NAT. )
    But go to the airport utility.. I think you need to run v5 at least to change DNS.. but you can do the same thing in v6 using static but no dns changes.
    Now you set the IP of the TC manually.. This address might need to be in the dhcp range of the modem to work. You can set the DNS to same IP as the router address.. ie home address of the modem. Or you can use another DNS.. whatever you like.
    Then set DHCP for clients that will join.. this can then expand the scope of addresses..
    It worked without a NAT error.. although I am not sure exactly how.. on paper it should not be able to work but did.. have a go.. otherwise there is perhaps another way.. but it is complicated.
    Give us an example from a computer plugged into the modem of what IP .. subnet mask .. Gateway and DNS you get. Then I can fine tune the values for it.

    I use tomcat as my server platform in Ubuntu for a war file.
    I know in order to get real time information about how many user are logged in, we can count how many active sessions exist by a SessionCounter code. However, I have to permit HttpSessionListener in web.xml of tomcat. From other users' experiences, the configuration is complexed and has some errors.

    That url is missing a few bits. The ... in the middle doesn't help.
    we can count how many active sessions exist by a SessionCounter code.

    What errors do you mean? Errors in tracking people, variance in the count? Probably related to internet issues and nothing you can do will alleviate them.

    We are getting the data from sql server into PI through Soap adapter.

    Time out issue could be due to the long running process in your SQL server. please check the SQL server for its performance and also check the number of http worker threads on the SQL server side where the SOAP adapter makes the call and get the request back.

    I have one issue that is ,...A variant ran several times in the past for monthly requirements for CAT updates is now timing out no matter how short of length of time report is set to run.
    Users are using the variants  like CAT_HCN_SLP, CAT_IF, and CAT_HCN  and populating the field "Date of Usage Decision" with a range from 15 days to as short as 1 day - and continuously having time out issues.
    This report is necessary for CAT downloads for regulatory complaince and needs to be utilized by the end of the month if not sooner.

    I dont know what transaction are you talking about...
    But if it is TIME_OUT.... you need to check for any OSS Notes available for this problem.
    If not send a product error message to SAP.
    There cannot be anyother solution,,,, if it is time_out.

    Iam loading one of our schema from stage to test server using datapump expdp and impdp.Its size is around 332GB.
    My Oracle server instance is on unix server rwlq52l1 and iam connecting to oracle from my client instance(rwxq04l1).
    iam running the expdp and impdp command from Oracle client using the below commands.

    Avoid selecting BSEG within the it_bsis loop. BSIS will have huge data and when you do data selection for BSEG inside this loop things will only worsen.
    My points:
    BSIS:
    1. Avoid 'INTO CORESSPONDING FIELDS OF" during the bsis table fetch. Instead define your target structure with the required fields and select only those fields from the BSIS table.
    2. Make sure that only "Key fields" are used in your filter (where condition) for this BSIS table fetch.
    3. I presume your company code in selection (so_bukrs) is a mandatory field. If not suggest for mandatory option.
    BSEG:
    To avoid selection of BSEG inside the bsis loop do the following.
    1. Sort it_bsis by  bukrs belnr gjahr buzei.
    2. Move the contents of it_bsis into a temporary table of same structure, say it_bsis_tmp.
    3. delete adjacent duplicates from it_bsis_tmp comparing bukrs belnr gjahr buzei.
    4. Now use the below selection:
       select <fields required from bseg>

    Do you mean  that every time you issue for a particular WBS element it should post to a differnt G/L account.
    If thats you requirement then its not possible to post to a new G/L account every time when you are issuing a material.
    The G/L account is determined based on the movement type, and creating new movement type every time to post into a G/L account is not feasible solution.
    What you can do is post into a differnt cost object like a profit center or cost center to track down the costs by posting them at the time of Goods issue.

    However importing many users profiles to different computers may require a new profile for each user.
    Currently there is an option to import bookmarks from other browsers, but not preferences.

    Firefox ESR is also another version of Firefox that is meant for Enterprise environments [https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/] that mostly has their support on their mailing list.

  • Logic Pro 9.1.1 AU third-party plug-ins ongoing issue for many

    Where is the Logic development team on this? Nearly all third-party AU plug-ins produce random pops and clicks at the beginning of playback and on occasion randomly during playback but before audio regions in tracks with these plug-ins installed.     I can't imagine a more textbook and apple-friendly environment than what I have. 32-bit is not the problem. I don't believe logic runs at 64 until you're on os 10.6 and I'm still on 10.5.8. My entire rig is what you'd see in an apple store logic demo. I've tried nearly everything:
    1) All standard optimization tips including but not limited to no date/time updates, no airport/wi-fi, no bluetooth
    2) I have a ultra high-quality external fw drive by G-drive
    3) Standard issue ensemble with updated firmware
    4) Moving AU component files from system library to user library
    If you look at the number of people commenting on the GS thread as well as other forums – the problem is common and needs to be fixed. I'm not the only logic user plagued by this issue:

    I really believe it has something to do with how many third-party plug-ins handle AU's reset or initialize callbacks; somewhere in between. This bug is clearly affecting many users and I'm coming close to starting a petition and devoting some serious time to making a big dorky stink about it on youtube.
    Either the AU spec needs to be updated to clarify some tricks (or hacks) specific to Logic's on-demand DSP usage or the logic team needs to publish a notice to all "Logic" AU developers. Optionally, if Logic had a preference to turn OFF on-demand AU DSP (so that plug-ins are always-on like in every other DAW or...ugh...outboard gear). Logic's on-demand AU DSP handling is outdated considering the processing power available in ANY apple computer made within the last 3 years. My CPU meter in Logic barely even lights up. On-demand DSP is overkill and antiquated and the least Logic can do is provide production or mission-critical users the ability to opt-out if they have the CPU power to do so.
    Having said all that; I hope I'm wrong about something and can come back here to eat my words and feel very embarrassed about my rant. I'm going to keep digging for solutions – hopefully, I'll find out the secret to whatever it is the few of you are doing to keep your third-party AU plugs quiet before an audio region starts.
    Also; Scott at Stillwell Audio has graciously begun trying to track down this very issue and is one of the few DSPers who has taken interest in helping Logic folk.
