Time out Time in Infopackage

Dear experts,
We are using Time out time setting in IP. We made it as 10 mins.  we made this setting for successfully running the process chain where other events are waiting for this process to finish.
that means it has to fail if the time of IP exceeds 10 mins. But this is not failing eventhough it exceeds 10mins...what could be the reason?????
Please share ur valueble thoughts....
Thanks in advance

Bhaskar,
Waiting Time Until Status Incorrect
The system sets the traffic light in the Monitor to red if the maximum wait time has elapsed since the last IDOc entered the system for this request.
--> Using this option we can stop long running request with out any updates/idocs. This option not to stop running loads.
Hope it Helps

    Hi
Since one week we are facing time out problem when executing 0CO_PC_ACT_02. This is running in infopackage groups. Its ending in short dump "Time out".
How can we solve this problem.

    Hi Steve
Is the job executing in R/3?
How can i check if this job is in R/3
What is your timeout period in R/3?
Where in R/3 should i check for the timeout period
Time out time in infopackage is 7 hrs.
In infopackage i copied the job name and executed in R/3, SM37. But no jobs are found. In the same way in BW as well. But no jobs are found.
    In monitor screen "Details" tab,
    Requests (messages): Everything OK  [GREEN]
    Extraction (messages): Errors occurred [RED]

  • Table to down load processing times

    Hello all,
Can any one tell what is the table that we can down load "processing times of infopackages on a give day"
    Thank you so much.

    Hi:
If the above table doesnot have all the data, try this table: RSREQDONE.
Any loads in BW will have to have an entry in this table including LOGDPID = InfoPackage.
It has times in UTC, loacal time and SLoad Status.

  • Problems with real-time extraction from generic datasource.

    Hello,
I have a real-time extraction from generic datasoruce with numeric field as a delta pointer. I have created an initilization infopackage, delta IP and real-time IP, real-time data transfer process, real-time deamon. The problem is that real-time extraction does not see delta updates. Deamon creates requests in PSA every minute, but there are all empty. When i delete the deamon and shedule not real-time delta infopackage, it loads delta records correctly. Version of BI - 7.0 SP 18.
The second question: a cannot stop real-time deamon. I stop it in RSRDA, but when i try to shedule standart IP, i get an error, that deamon is still running. So i have to delete it and recreate.
And the 3rd question, theoretical. What real-time extraction is necessary for? As i understand, i can create a process chain that will be sheduled every 1 (5, 10, ...) minute. What are advantages of real-time extraction rather such variant?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    1.Note 1113610 - P17:SDL:PC:RDA:Daemon runs: Do not start delta/init IPackage
    Summary
    Symptom
When a daemon runs or is scheduled, you may not start a 'normal' delta/init InfoPackage.
    Other terms
RDA, real-time data acquisition, daemon, InfoPackage, scheduler
    Reason and Prerequisites
This problem is caused by a program error.
    Solution
    SAP NetWeaver 7.0 BI
Import Support Package 17 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 BI (BI Patch 17 or SAPKW70017) into your BI system. The Support Package is available when Note 1106569 "SAPBINews BI7.0 Support Package 17", which describes this Support Package in more detail, is released for customers.
**********you can apply the correction instructions provided in the note
2.i refered closing of the request in the target i.e DSO not psa.
    3. Note 1000157 - RDA daemon does not get data from delta queue
    Summary
    Symptom
You use Real-time Data Acquisition (RDA) to load data from an SAP source system. After several hours or days, the system no longer reads the data from the delta queue. In the RDA monitor, you can see that the InfoPackage has been executed, however the data transfer process (DTP) has not been executed for a long time. In transaction RSA7 in the source system, you can see that there is already data in the delta queue.

  • Table to find out the list  which shows the last load of infoobjects

    Hi All,
I have to find out the Info objects which stop loading in production system, so that we can delete number range buffering for those objects. In table  RSDCHABALSLOC I found the info objects which has number range buffering. But total 17000 objects are there its not possible for me to go and check in manage tab for each object manually. I need a table which shows the information like when was the last load happened for the info object. I checked in RSDIOBJ table but time stamp of it not matching with manage data target tab of Infoobject.
    Regards,
    Asim

    Hello Asim,
Have a look at the table RSLDPIO, this should give the last run time of infopackage with other details like related datasource, info object etc. everything.
Just go to SE11 and display data of this table - provide your datasource name to OLTPSOURCE or Info Object Name to VARIANT. Also you can check based on specific infopackage name.
Then sort it in ascending on TIMESTAMP, top most timestamp will be the last run time of that infopackage.
Another helpful table will be RSREQDONE.
Please let me know if this serves the purpose.
    Thanks

  • Infopackage "Data Selection" Criteria

    Hello,
This is a really simple question.
I want to break out an INIT infopackage from 1 big load to several smaller loads.
To do this I am going to create multiple INIT infopackages that have selections based upon Fiscal Year, and each infopackage will also include a selection for 0VTYPE of 010.
The result will be 4 infopackages that have the following selections for Fiscal year/0VTYPE
    1. The beginning of time to 2001      010
    2. 2002    010
    3. 2003    010
    4. 2004 to the end of time    010
When I create the infopackages under the 'data selection' tab I see "From Value" and "To Value"
For each infopackage what values should I enter, so that I get the 4 correct infopackages as described above ( I am most concerned about structuring #1 and #4 correctly)?
    Thanks,
    Nick

    Hello Andres,
I am still testing but things seem to be working well.
What i did was setup an Delta INIT infopackage for Periods 007/2008 - 012/9999
Then I built Full (repair) loads for 6 period intervals beneath the INIT.  For example:
    001/2008 - 006/2008
    007/2007 - 012/2007
    001/2007 - 006/2007
It works nicely to break the load up from 1 gigantic to many smaller loads.  I put all these packages together in a process chain.
I also found that the load was not slowing down becuase of it being a huge load, it was actually because of the Update rule processing.
I like the smaller loads in the process chain better then 1 huge load, it is easier to manage.
I have also addressed the update rule processing issue, so things (will be) operating much better going forward.
    Thanks for the help!

  • Generic Data Source and InfoPackage Data Selection

Hello,  I'm trying to extract data from a generic data source (composed of a view joining 4 tables) using the Data Selection Criteria in an infopackage.  Sometimes the selection criteria is ignored and more data is pulled than expected.  The number of selectable items in the generic data source has been reduced (in case this was an issue) and for a short time the infopackaged pulled the expected number of records.  Then another change was made to the generic data source and the problem returned.  In any case, the transported generic data source does not work in the target system either.  I'm not sure what is causing this to happen.  Any ideas???  BW 3.5.

    Hi,
Some of the datasources will not have  default Infopackages for them. You can create the infopackages according to the requirement. There is no big deal for creating Infopackages. You can go ahead creating them.

  • Loop OLAP Variable in InfoPackage from Table entries

    Hi SDN Community
Is it possible to have a Routine in an INfopackage that reads a table with a number of entries in that table.
The infopackage then executes with the selection that is retrieved, then reexecutes with the next entry in that table.
Otherwise, i imagine if we place this infopackage into a Process Chain.
We are trying to do the following
    Loop n times
Execute InfoPackage restricted by Parameter a
    Next n
where n = number of entries in table
where a = attribute field within table
    a = Saraji for n = 1, a = Blackwater for n= 2, etc...
    Thank you.
    Simon

Thank you for your respose Yogesh
I thought of a way that might work, tell me what you think
A process chain is set up.  The first step is to write an X to the first entry in the table.
The infopackage has ABAP Code to read the table, and restrict on site where field = X
    The infopackage executes.
Then in the process chain, the second entry has an X placed against it, and the first entry deleted
    And so on...
    Assumptions:
    - Is it possible to write to table fields in an infoObject from the Process chain
    - Do the parameters that are executed in the infopackage via this method, allow 'Overlapping requests' functionality to work
    - Can we dynamically create InfoPackages via BADI ABAP code as an alternative in the above methodology
    Thank you for your assistance

  • InfoPackage in Process Chain Error

    Hi,
I am working on a 3.1 Dev system which was copied from the Production system. The R/3 system was also copied.
    ......Prod.....Dev
    R/3.   LD1  --> LD3
    BW.    LD6  --> LD5
The process chain is for Master Data Attributes.
The problem i'm having is that the infopackage runs perfectly when scheduled manualy. But, when it is run in the process chain it says it cannot run because of the following error.
"Source system LD1050 is incorrect; not possible to load data"
I had a similar problem with ODS activation which i resolved by running RSRV but cannot seem to figure out how the infopackage can be corrected.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    thanks

  • Hai l how to find weather our infopackage is used in any infopackage group?

hai is there any way to find out weather our infopackage is used in any infopackage group.Help is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Mark.

    Hi Steve,
go to RSMON Transaction there you can find all the infopackage groups and there you can check whether your infopackage is present there or not.
and also if it is included in any infopackage group or any process chain you can find the option like "infopackage is included in the infopackage group or process chain" in the schedule tab.
    Hope its clear.
    assign points if its helpful....

  • Job termination in source system

    Dear All,
I am trying to load payroll data using Datasource ZHR_PY_1 . I am doing init data for the first time using infopackage for this datasource. I have tried to pull a couple of years, 2 months, even 1 day of data, but all give me the same error.
    The error is
1.The request turns red after a couple of hrs pulling zero records.
    2. Error Message says Job terminated in source system.
    3.Step by step analysis says
red - data selection successfully started
red - data selection successfully finished
red - processing error in source system.
Error says "error occured in data selection"
If I go to RSA7 in R/3, datasource ZHR_PY_1 has yellow status.
    RSA6 shows everything active.
Can anybody make out what may be the reasons why BI system is not able to connect to pull R/3 data.
    Regards,
    Jack

    Hi,
Some times the source system needs a lot of time to "prepare" the output records and will got through a lot of tables before getiing any result how small it may be.
But also try the options as given by the others consultants (as RSA3, checking the system connection, replicate and activae data source again.)
Your can also use tx SMQ2 u2013 qRFC-monitor in R/3 to see what happened.
    Success,
    Udo

  • Is there any program to change the color of requests

    Hi,
I want to know is there any program to change the traffic color of requests.
It is showing wait time until 'next months' date'.
The option to change time out is greyed out in the Infopackage schedueler.
    Please sugegst anything.

In RSMO Settings -> incorrect waiting time for request -> Change the time

  • Interfaces- full and delta

    Hi everybody,
I have a question on Interfaces-full file and delta file...Like is there a way to find out(either by looking at the program or the job, related to that pgm) as to wht exactly the outputof that particular interface, gives u(like the full file or a changes file only)? Or is there ny other method to find it out in SAP R/3 environment? As far as my knowledge goes, I think in BW we can find out using the Infopackages, am I right?
    Thank You,
    Appreciated a quick response,
    Kaya.

Please search the forums. This topic has already been discussed a lot of times.

  • Load taking very long

I got a load that is taking very long. Its still active and running. 22 hours so far..last time too only 2 hours.
In the header tab job monitor: it says it processing from PSA to datatargets...
    any ideas please ?

    Hi,
Just check the backround job status in SM37.Next option copmare the number of records which are loaded by now in R/3 if the number of records are matching, then try to make the status technically green and check the data.
see the time out time in infopackage.
    Hope this helps

  • Failure when extracting data from R/3

We have many InfoPacjkages running business content extractors from R/3 into PSA  Occaisonally these extracts fail with the following message:
Non-updated Idocs found in Source System
    Diagnosis
IDocs were found in the ALE inbox for Source System that are not updated.
    Processing is overdue.
    Error correction:
Attempt to process the IDocs manually. You can process the IDocs manually using the Wizard or by selecting the IDocs with incorrect status and processing them manually.
The failure appears to be caused by the extract job in R/3 not starting, no job BIREQU* in SM37.
When this situation occurs the BW job waits a lenth of time, in our case approximately 8 hours, before going red.
Does anyone else suffer this kind of issue and if so is there any way in reducing the time elapsed before BW errors?

    Hi Terry,
you can reduce BW job waits a lenth of time at Infopackage level.
RSA1-> select you infopackage -> Schedule (menu) -> Timeout time -> Maximum wait time for this infopackage (here you can se 1 or 2 hrs).
    Best Regards.
