Time-Profile-Level Error on Activation

Hello,
I am in the process of creating an S&OP Model and so far created the following.
1...Master Data & Attributes
2...TimeProfile with 2 Levels(Daily and Weekly)
3..Planning Area with Storage Time Profile Level as 'Daily'
4...Two Planning levels at Daily and Weekly levels
5. Two Stored Key Figures. One at Daily Planning Level and the other at Weekly Planning Level.
Now, on activating the Planning Area I keep getting the following error.
'Time-Profile-Level and Time-Profile-Level root attribute for plan-level "WEEKLYCUSTLOCPROD" are not consistent'
When I delete the Key Figure that I created at the Weekly Planning Level, it seems to be activating fine.
Can someone tell me what is it that I am doing wrong here. I need to create atleast 2 keyfigures at the weekly planning level.

Hi Geetha,
Try going back into your planning area and checking if your time profile for the planning level has a 'root' defined.
In my experience, upon creating planning levels you must explicitly check a root on the time profile.
This is different behavior than when selecting regular Master Data Types to include in your planning level. Those default to having the key of the MDT being set as the 'root' for that planning level.

Dear S&OP community,
I am getting following error while creating a planning ares in a newly installed sandbox. "Enter values for planning horizon From and planning horizon To for the storage time profile level".
This what I did...
1) Created new attributes and master data objects and activated them successfully.
2) Time profile created and activated successfully
3) Trying to create planing area by assigning time profile in step 2 and assigned master data from step1..Unable to save the data and system returns
this error - "Enter values for planning horizon From and planning horizon To for the storage time profile level"
My understanding is time profile needs to be active but doesn't have to have values...
Any help is appreciated.

Run-time error '429':Active X component can not create an object

Hi Folks,
I am using some VBA code to run logic in BPC for Excel. When i try to click on VBA button, It's giving the below error.However when i am trying to execute same from server it is working fine. Accessing from BPC client only we are facing this problem.
Code have no issues. Is there any specific thing need to mentioned in client when we use VBA programming? Basically we used the VBA program to create the id's in BPC for Excel. So that it will automatically created on fly. Testing was fine interms of working in Server.

Hi,
Are you trying to add a member into the dimension from excel? As you said that this has been already tested in the server and is working fine, I believe, you have taken care of everything.
Now, coming to the point, when you are adding a member in the membersheet, you need to process the dimension. This requires the admin rights. So, please check the task profile of the user ID, with which you are trying from your system. This user ID should be the primary admin.

Additionally, can you please elaborate on the steps on what you followed for adding a member from the excel directly?

Error when activating Real Time Data Source

Hi..
I created a generic datasource in R/3 system via RSO2, with the Real-time check box enabled in the settings for Generic Delta. I saved the datasource. Replicated it into BW System.
I tried to activate this Real time Data Source in BW, it says "Error when activating Data Source".
I am on BI 7.0, with PI_BASIS: 2005_1_700.
Please let me know if you need any further information.

Hi,
As mentioned in the note 939383 , either Import Support Package 08 for SAP NetWeaver 2004s BI (BI Patch08 or SAPKW70008) into your BI system or do correction instructions given in the note.
It is always better to import the latest patches avialble in service market to avoid this type of problems.
Also see tha note 1010672 amd check whether it is applicable to your problem.

Error in activating status profile for SVT

Hi,
I've been trying to activate status profile EHS_SO for SVT in REACH compliance version 2.0 . But I am stuck.
When I save a sales order, a message-'Error when activating status 0001 for status profile EHS_SO in order XXXXXX' has come up. My IMG settings are as follows:
Sales documentr: No existing status profile used
Status profile: EHS_SO added with status SD
Environment parameter:SVT_SO_PROFILE: EHS_SO
SVT_SO_STATUS: 0001 used
Activate Status profile: STUCK (can't figure out the object type for VBP object type category)
Does anyone know?

DSO data Activation Time out-DATABASE ERROR-440

Hello all,
We are getting error in one of our standard DSO during activation -Error-Process 000001 did not confirm within the permitted time period,we repeated process chain ,we got the same error,we activated manually -we got the same error, I need to mention that we only have 3278 records which should not take more than few seconds-minutes to activate. we reset RSODSO_SETTINGS wait time by increasing still did do it , we changed data package 10,000 ,50,000 but it didn't correct the error, we even change DSO SID generation setting during activation to never create SID ,it didn't correct the error, we reactivated DSO,we indexed the table both new and active table but we are getting the same error, in a SM21 we are getting error DATABASE ERROR -440 [IBM][CLI Driver][DB2] NO AUTHORIZED PROCEDURE NAMED > DSO_VERSION HAVING COMPATIBLE ARGUMENTS WAS FOUND... DBA reorg and did some other things but we are still getting the same error and the are not sure what the procedure DSO_VERSION is ,Any body have any idea what that procedure is and why we are getting that in sm21 during one DSO data activation? Has anybody had this kind of experience before? by the way we have researched on google SCN and nothing close to our scenario. By the way we ran the activation with the different settings both in dialog and background.We also got error Background process BCTL_4Z81MSY8311QNTKRYGRDYVFXY terminated due to missing confirmation ...Any suggestions will be of great help and points will be awarded....

Perform the consistency test with 'RSRV' -->All Elementary Tests --> Master Data --> 'Compare Number Range and Maximum SID for the characteristic 0REQUID'. and correct the error

Error "Multi-level error propagation carried out" when I run a report

Hi All,
When I run the report /SAPAPO/CDPS_REPT - Order and Resource Reporting with the below criteria I getting error "Multi-level error propagation carried out"
Planning Version - Simulation Version XXX
Evaluation Start - 05/03/2011
Evaluation End - 12/31/2013
Evaluation List - Extended Operation List
I do not get error when I run the report with selection as Active version 000 and Evaluation List as Order List, Operation List.
I have tried by ruuning Live cache consistancy check, but the issue is not fixed
Please help me to resolve this issue

Hi Jack,
Please do post the server log file here so that we can try and find a solution for the problem you are facing.
I had a problem a while ago with the app server too. While trying to run an application, after a few times, it would give me an error message saying the Application Server cannot be started. I rebooted my machine and thankfully it worked again. Just try this too and see if it works.
If it doesnt we can go through the server log and try to identify the cause of the problem.

Multi-level error propagation during the execution of CFM2 transaction

We are implementing SAP SCM 5.0 integrated to SAP R/3 Mills IS.
During the execution of CFM2 transaction, while trying to activate the integration model for the object u201COrdersu201D for the very first time, the following error message appears:
*"Multi-level error propagation carried out".*
There are also messages related to inbound queues blocked. In the case of maintenance orders, CIF_MNT_INBOUND message shows up. While working with Production orders, CIF_ORDER_INBOUND message emerges.
The items listed below should be taken into account:
-The production orders that are meant to be transferred to APO are regular production orders corresponding to several products.
-We are working with configurable materials.
-We are working with the active model (000) and for each plant we are using 2 different planning versions.

Dear Analía,
The corresponding error messages issued when executing //CCR indiacted the peg-ids are missing in liveCache.
Recommendations:
-Run transaction /SAPAPO/OM17 to check the internal consistency between database and liveCache within SCM system. Correct the inconsistencies
-Execute report /sapapo/cif_deltareport3 to correct the inconsistencies between ECC and SCM system

Invalid character error while activating data in DSO.

Hi Experts,
We are facing an issue with presence of invalid characters in data from source. This throws SID generation error while activating data in DSO. Long text of error shows like this:
"Value " ĠĠĠĠĠĠĠĠĠĠĠĠĠĠĠ" (HEX 000D0120012001200120012001200120012001200120012001) of characteristic contains an error at position 1"
Also we've tried adding the character " Ġ " in TCode RSKC, but it then shows as a rectangle box which I'm not able to copy manually(looks like a blank space or something of that sort).
We've tried implementing routine to remove special characters while loading data, but still it fails. Due to huge amounts of data, its practically unfeasible to check each record manually.
Any useful suggestions will be acknowledged.

We are using following code for the same purpose. U can use it at infoobject level mapping. This code will check value of each character in the data coming, whether it is in RSKC, if it is a allowed one then it will be passed as it is. Otherwise it will replace that character by space.

Error During Activation of Web services

When I try to create a web services using RFC and try to complete the steps in the wizard. I am getting error message as "Error during Activation of web services". and also when configure service in wizard, im getting only two profiles as "Basic Authorization: SOAP PROFILE" and "Secure SOAP PROFILE". Kindly do the needful.

SOAMANAGER does not exist in my system (sp level 8), so node "/sap/bc/soap/rfc" should be active. Actually, it is active.
I think the problem is related to user rights/profiles.
I have tried to create another WS after assigning role SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_ADMIN. The same error when trying to activate it, but now, I can see this WS in SE80 (under "Enterprise Services->Service Definition"). It is not active there and if I try to activate it, a success message appears indicating that user "is not authorized to use function netzwerkadministration". I cannot see any new services in SICF...
Probably the new entry in SICF will be created after activating WS in SE80...
Do u know what user profile should I add in order to properly activate the WS in SE80?

SQL Exceptions, transport-level errors on SharePoint 2010 App Server

SharePoint 2010 becomes inaccessible 2-3 times per day. It happens at approximately the same times: 8 PM, 1 AM and 1 PM. It is inaccessible for about 3-4 minutes and then comes back on its own.
During the time it is down, we see the following errors in the event viewer on the application server:

The SharePoint logs have errors during the same time period saying the same kinds of things: Sql exception raw message: A transport-level error has occurred when receiving results from the server,
The specified network name is no longer available, etc.
Our network administrator has looked at the issue and cannot find any network problems.
He setup a continuous ping from the app server to the database server.
Even during the times these errors are occurring, the app server is still able to reach the database server.
However, you cannot ping the app server itself during this time.
Our database administer cannot find any SQL Server issues.
There are no errors in the event viewer or the SQL logs on the database server.
In Central Admin, we can see that one or two jobs fail with SQL errors during the times these errors take place.
It is almost always the “User Profile Service Application – User Profile Language Synchronization Job” and often the “Health Statistics Updating” or “Crawl Log Report for Search Application Search Service Application”.
These jobs run successfully at many other times during the day.
Is there a good way to tell if the database, network or SharePoint itself is the root of these problems?
The database and network guys say there are no problems in their areas, but all I can find in the SharePoint logs is that it can’t reach the database server.

Since these seem to happen at very specific times, I would run a NetMon trace at that window to capture what is going back and forth (or perhaps the timer service is just unable to reach the SQL server).

Guest WiFi Time Profile

I have created a guest user and selected a Time Profile that is supposed to allow the user to remain logged in for 3 weeks (by selecting the default time profile in Sponsor portal, Three_Weeks). According to ISE guidelines, this user should not be disconnected from first login until 3 weeks!
In testing this setup with a user having an Android phone, the user stayed connected the whole day. However when the user came in the next day, this morning and connected to the guest WiFi SSID, he was prompted to login. In ISE the Authentication logs show that the user is still logged in since yesterday.
The expectation was that the guest user will not be required (i.e. prompted) to login again the next day. How can this be achieved with Android and other smartphones (iPhone, Windows)?

Time profiles allow a sponsor to assign different levels of access time to a guest account. For example,
you can assign a time profile that allows a guest access during a workweek day but not during a weekend
day.
After time profiles are created, you must change the sponsor user group to allow sponsors in that group
to be able to provision accounts to the appropriate time profiles that are created. You can choose the
sponsor user groups that are allowed to assign certain time profiles to guests.
By default, a sponsor user group has the ability to assign guests to the default time profile.
Administrators can choose which additional time profiles the sponsor can be assigned, and they can also
remove the default time profile from the user group.
Each sponsor user group must have the ability to assign guests to at least one time profile.
If a sponsor user group has only one time profile selected, sponsors will be able to select that time profile
alone. If sponsors can choose more than one time profile, they can view a drop-down menu from which
they can choose the time profile to be assigned to the account during the account creation.
Step 1 From the Cisco ISE Administration interface, select Administration > Guest Management > Settings.
Step 2 In the Settings panel, select Guest > Time Profiles.
Step 3 Click one of the following:
   • Add—to create a new time profile
   • Edit—to edit an existing time profile
   • Duplicate—to duplicate an existing time profile
Step 4 Enter the name and description of the new time profile.
Step 5 Select a Time Zone for Restrictions. Time Restrictions are a set of time periods during which a guest
           account associated with that time profile would not be granted access to the network or guest portal.
Step 6 From the Account Type drop- down menu, choose one of the predefined options:
   • StartEnd—allows sponsors to define start and end times for account durations
   • FromFirstLogin—allows sponsors to define the duration of time that guests can have access after login
   • FromCreation—allows sponsors to define the duration of time that guest can have access after account creation
Step 7 Set the Duration for which the account will be active. The account expires after the duration set here
           has expired. This option is available only if you select the Account Type as FromFirstLogin or FromCreation.
Step 8 Set the Restrictions for the guest access.
           These restrictions are composed of a day of the week and a start and end clock time. The Time Zone
            value specified in the time profile affects the clock times set in any of the Time Restrictions within the
             time profile. For example, a Time Restriction that specifies Monday 12:00 am to 8:00 am and Monday
             6:00 pm to 11:59 pm would only grant system access between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm on Mondays within
            the time zone of the time profile. Any other day of the week would have no time restriction in this example and
            system access would be granted at any time.
Step 9 Click Submit.
Time profiles do not define the start and end times. This is done during the account creation. The time profile can have restrictions that fall outside the start and end time specified in a Guest account while creation. Only those restrictions that cover the start end time of the account will be applied to the account.
