Time recording in 12 hour format with CATS??

Hi CATS gurus,
Can some body let me know, whether it is possible to record time using CATS in 12 hour format using the clock times.
I need to record time as 08:00 am to 04:30 pm and the system shoud count it as total of 08:30 hours.
Incase, my query is not clear, please feel free to write me back.

Hi,
In the CAC1 tCode, in the data entry profile you need to select the With clock times.
As per ur requrirement you have created the work scheudles. you assigend that work scheudle in 0007 for the employee.
While going to CAT2 tcode. there next to total colum one column is there WE there you can give the total hrs. on the basis of
works Schedule system will take that attendacne in the 2002 infotype. Then you can approve and transfer to HR through CAT4.
Then you can go and see in the 2002 infotype there you can see the start time and end time.

Hi,
I have a requirement where I have to format the Time value to 24 hours format and then assign the value to a Project variable with data type "Time".By default the project variable is showing the time value in 12 hours format.
Can anyone suggest me a method that takes input parameter of datatype "Time",masks the time to 24 hours format and has return type as "Time".

This is a specific requirement that we need to convert the time as per the user's locale and need to display the same in a 24hr format.

Time Recording in ESS is tied to CATS?

Hi, I am new to ESS//MSS. I am HCM consultant, like to know more on ESS side. I heard Time Recoding is linked to CATS data entry profiles. Is this only way we can enable time recording using ESS? In other words all the web-dynpro's provided in ess package is tied to CATS? If company is using ESS that means they are using CATS in back end?

Sorry to reiterate, I was asking in ESS, is iviews are tied to CATS? in other words if company is implementing ESS, do they need to first setup CATS? Some thing is confusing CATS is used for data transfer and for having approval workflow.
From the process point, Data can be loaded from Time Recording systems into individual info types (IT2001, 2002..) OR can be pushed to CATS and then transferred into info types. My question, Is Time recoding using ESS portal is tied to CATS or can be pushed to individual info types with out CATS? vanilla instance (out of the box)

Is a Time Machine compatible hard drive formatted with Mac OS?

I have a 1 terabyte Buffalo LinkStation Live NAS, and it says that it's Time Machine compatible; does this mean the the drive is formatted with Mac OS Extended (Journaled)? Thanks.

Probably not but the device supports AFP protocols which is necessary for communication with OS X.

Lync 2010 Archiving IM log time record is 6 hours off

When I run a export of the IM logs in Lync 2010 with the following command.
Export-CSArchivingData -DBInstance lync-sql\rtc -StartDate 2/3/2014 -EndDate 2/5/2014 -OutputFolder "C:\logs" -Useruri "[email protected]"
I get the log file but all the time stamps are 6 hours off. I though oh we are in CST the server is set to UTC. Thats not the case the front end server and sql servers are all set to the correct time zones. I did see an article that referenced in OCS 2007
that the database time stamp was off. does anyone know how I can change the database time zone from UTC to CST?

I know that when your query the database directly it will return times in UTC, so maybe apply an offset to the output file to correct your current timezone.

Continuos acquisition video and record video in AVI format

Hello,
I want to make a continuos acquisition of video with a webcam and record video in AVI format with a number of frames per second equal to 60, and with a possibility to choose the period of acquisition in the window '' front panal '' but the problem is that when I selected an acquisition time of 1 minute supervision
video takes a time of 1 minute but I get an AVI video recorded with a duration of 15 seconds !!

I'm sorry, you didn't understand what I wanted you to do. You might have "done the right thing", but I can't be sure. Your original program (as I understood it) recorded images from the camera for a fixed period of time that you set (so you knew the recording time) -- what I wanted to know for the original camera was (a) what was the recording time and (b) how many frames were taken.
The second program that you just attached does the opposite -- it records a fixed number of frames (a better way to do this is to use a FOR loop and just wire 900 to N in the upper left hand corner). If you are going to record a fixed number of frames, then I want to know how much time it takes to record. You can do this by doing something like what is shown below (with the FOR loop example).
I realize that this is in the "wrong" version of LabVIEW, but it just involves adding two Tick Count functions to your Camera loop. If it does say that Delta-t = 15000 (15 seconds), then the main question, "Is the camera recording at 60 FPS", is answered as "Yes". In any case, we should have enough data to make your code work as you want it to.

Record working times with CATS

Hello experts,
I am a beginner and I really need your help regarding this point. we want to start recording working times in our PPM system. In our system we have the integration of our ERP system with CATS. We can easily registrate in ERP working time on each personnel number, on a specific cost center for cProjects, on activity type special defined for each role. We also transfer this costs with resources to controlling - so, in ERP system everything works fine.
But, when I go to PPM system - I'm lost. all that I maintained on ERP system is available on Accounting Tab in Detail Data -which is good. But, I am not able to see the confirmed work on task level, tab "Dates and work" (see screenshot attached). Do I miss some customizing? or how should I proceed in order that this field "confirmed work" to be filled with the data registrated on ERP?

have you enabled CATS-integration with cProjects in customizing?
1) Customizing CATS-Integration for your project type in PPM
Checkbox "Time/Travel Expenses Rec. CATS/SRM/FIN". Setting up "Accounting Integration".
2) Customizing CATS-Integration from CATS-profile-customizing
For your CATS Data Entry Profil you have to select the Checkbox "From Project Assignment" to get your worklist populated from cProjects (task is released, person assigned to task, etc...)
3) Only entries with status '30' from CATSDB will be transferred to DPR_CONF_LI by the report "DPR_CATS_CPR_TRANSF"
4) And of course, don't forget to uncheck "Test" :-) when running "DPR_CATS_CPR_TRANSF".

How can we integrate CATS & PPM and to retrieve CATS time recording data in PPM ?

Dear experts,
Following the previous question of Ruxandra Petrina called "record times with CATS", I am facing an issue with the report DPR_CATS_CPR_TRANSF : it shows nothing despite I activated PPM accounting integration.
There are the steps I followed, I really don't understand what is missing. In PPM I can transfer and assign my projects to WBS elements automatically or manually.
1. We allowed time confirmation for projects
2. We replicated personal number as business partners
3. We activated worklists and project assignments @ data entry profiles
4. We set up ALE & RFC connections
5. We activated the integration scenarios on WBS element : automatic and manual creation of WBS element assigned to PPM elements. Then we set up data profiles for time recording in cat2.
6. We enter times, we released it (approval is not required) + saving
7; We launch the program in SE38 of both ERP or SOLMAN systems : NOTHING appears.
Our goal is to see the times recorded in CATS in the Confirmed work field of PPM.
Can you please help me out with this issue ?

If tasks assigned to a user is not listed in CAT2 worklist, then first we need to ensure that the tasks are displayed in the worklist. So the user confirm the times for the tasks using this list and after that only we should be running the report 'DPR_CATS_CPR_TRANF' to transfer the actual times entered by user in CAT2 to PPM project task.
To integrate CATS with PPM, you need to follow these steps.
Customisations:
1) Enable 'Time recording' for tasks & 'Account integration' in project type
2) Customisation related to 'Accounting integration' to be carried out (either single object / Hierarchical controlling, for testing better to use single object - Internal order, since it is easier)
3) Create a time sheet data entry profile
(Refer thread Record working times with CATS for details)
4) Ensure all object links(internal order / WBS) RFC destinations are updated correctly.
Master data:
Business partners creation with BUP003-Employee role & link to HR personnel number
(This is not required if HR integration is activated, since the system creates the BP's automatically. But manually we need to validate the BP's for linkage with few users)
Project:
1) Create project using customised project type (where time recording/accounting integration is enabled)
2) Structure the project with phase/tasks
3) Update duration/work etc., to the tasks
3) Create project roles & staff a resource (BP which is validated for HR personnel number linkage).
4) Assign task to project role with resource in Project role-->task tab
6) Release the project definition and also check for phase/tasks release
7) Change the status of project definition to 'Flag for transfer' (Can be done before project release also)
8) Check whether the internal order / PS project with WBS is created in ERP system(Based on customisation) and linked to project. Check can be made in accounting tab of the project. (If it is not created, then check for object link RFC destination correctness)
In case of automatic internal order creation process, you need to enter the org unit. data in project definition-->additional data of the project.
CATS:
After completing all the steps, the task assigned to the user will appear in the CAT2 transaction.
1) User can confirm the task with actual hours.
2) Run the CATS transfer report mentioned above to update the data in PPM project.

CATS Notifications If No Time recording for the day

Hi
I wan to trigger the Notification to employee If He is not recorded his work time for particular week.
Ex: EE worked on some tasks in particular project as per the target hours, But he forgot to fill the time shee at the end of the week. Now i want to send reminder mail notification to EE mail ID(or mail to UWL) to fill the time sheet. How to go with this requirement?!!!
Do I need work flow for this? Can i configure anything in the back end?
Pls can anyone give details on this how to fulfill this requirement?
We don not have time management in place,Its not yet implemented. Work Envr:ECC 6.0, CATS Regular

How can I change my iCal times to be listed in 12 hour format?

I have the system set for 12 hour but it does not seem to carry over to iCal. I have restarted since changing the system to 12-hour clock.
By the way, I mean the little timeline running down the left hand side in week view. Individual appointments are opening in 12-hour format.
I've worked on this a bit and now noticed that the event times are listed as 5:30PM-18 etc. Any hour which is 'on the hour' is a single number from a 24 hour clock! Wierd.
Don't want to change away from UK settings because then I'll have to mess with date formats and everything. There must be a way to edit the date, although doing it through 'Language & Text' doesn't seem to be having the desired effect!

This isn't Lion-specific. I had the same prob changing OS a couple of years ago and now again changing to Lion on a new laptop.
Changing the Date and Time settings would do it (you'd think) but it doesn't. It was always embedded in International (now Language &Text). It seems to be a bug though as I've Custom Edited selecting 12-hr clock with am/pm and have the same issue. On-the-hour has no am/pm or zeros.
I've learnt not to waste too much energy on it once it doesn't make logical sense as it's generally a bug.
I'm loving Lion though - even unexpectedly using the natural scrolling.....but I digress....

How can we change the field confirmed work of SAP PPM from edit to not edit mode ? I need it into non edit mode for time recording with ChaRM

It seems that I've solved this issue. To get it work:
1. Select checkbox Time Recording and Travel Expenses via CATS for project type. Path: SPRO —> SAP Customizing Implementation Guide —> SAP Portfolio and Project Management —> Project Management —> Structure => Define Project Types
2. Run/schedule a synchronization with the report DPR_CATS_CPR_TRANSF (Transfer of CATS Itemizations to Project Management Application).

With Time Machine I have an external hard drive formatted with Mac. The record contained files windows. How to recover?
Serious mistake: to connect a Mac to an external drive with data (important!) Windows, the warning appears: "You want to use the disk for Time Machine?" Wrong button, so in 2-3 seconds, the disk is formatted. Now Mac "sees" the disc but empty, Windows does not see it under "My Computer" but in "Disk Management" is reported as "hard core", "healthy", "GPT protective partition" Is there a way to retrieve the files? Print out of time stamp ( time recording) in DBM ( using cats)

in DBM we use standard time recording, everytime we post time stamp the system prints output of the time stamp
we want to stop it...however is probobly control in HR . Any hints where?

I was thinking about something like the snipped added below. My version is very simple, but I think that it shows how it can be done. You need to have Excel on your machine. (Disclaimer: This is my very first use of the Report Generation Toolkit in LabVIEW, so maybe there is a better way to do it)
I made the VI labels visible, so that you know what function was used, if the Toolkit is not included in your LabVIEW license. The same thing can be done with ActiveX automation. If you are not familiar with it, there are a lot of examples in the forums about generating Excel files via ActiveX.

Why does a digital indicator formatted for time & date add 16 hours to the input?

I wire a digital indicator with a double precision value that is supposed to indicate an elapsed time. But the indicator (formatted for time and date, with the date inactive) always adds 16 hours to the wired input.
This problem occurs even in a simple vi I wrote that only consists only of a constant wired to the indicator.
Using LabView 6.0.2

Labview interprets the number passed into an indicator formatted for date & time as seconds since Jan. 1st 1904. I'm assuming that since you're looking for elapsed time this is not what you're passing in. One thing that I've done is get the elapsed time in seconds and write a routine to convert that into whatever format you want.

CATS - Time recording dashboard - Missing time issue

And also check the OADP configurations for view MSS_LCA_EE1
This view retrieves the time recording details for the direct reports and all employees.
