Time Restrictions not blocking Mobile Data?

According to the familybase FAQ:
You can set up time restrictions to:
Stop calls. Your child will only be able to communicate with designated Trusted Contacts or 911.
Stop messages from being sent or received. This includes messaging activities that are sent or received over the Verizon network as well as third-party apps, such as iMessage®, Facebook®, MySpace® and Twitter®. Your child will only be able to send or receive text and multimedia messages to and from designated Trusted Contacts. Any messages not controlled by FamilyBase will be allowed during time restrictions.
Restrict data access. This includes the ability to download apps and content, and access the Internet. All data services will be unavailable, except for My Verizon Mobile, Data Usage Meter, Verizon Cloud and multimedia messages to and from Trusted Contacts.
However this doesn't seem to be working. I still see data being used after the cutoff time. This is an iPhone 6. And no, there is no WiFi. I am talking about Mobile Data.
By the way, I can't see anywhere in the Time Restriction settings where I can actually control what is disabled during the restricted times.

Just to follow up on this, I have mostly resolved my own issue. Primarily it was my own fault.
I had mistakenly assumed that if I chose a time range, say, 9AM to 5PM, that this was the time range when data usage was *permitted*. But it's not. It's the time period where data is blocked. So I had set up my time restrictions completely upside down. I did not notice this because at that same time, wifi was available.
Secondly, my initial specifying of the time zone didn't stick, so the restrictions ended up kicking in 3 hours earlier than I expected.

Hi, I really need some help please.
Last week I started to get this message everytime I tried to use internet services, email, web or apps. I was on 4.1.2 and the phone was officially unlocked and running a T-Mobile sim with auto-update carrier file installed.
I reset the phone, restored it and never worked, subsequently, I have done this many times, reset network settings, hard reset, soft reset and I eventually upgraded to 4.2.1. This still never solved the issue.
After countless restores and resets and iTunes updating the carrier files, nothing is working. I contacted T-Mobile who said there are no connectivity issues, must be the handset. I then contacted Apple who advised the handset is out of warranty and an 'out of warranty' repair will cost minimum £146.
The phone works fine calling, messages and on Wi-Fi it's only internet services that do not work. Is there anything else I can try or has anybody experienced the same problems?

Thanks for the advice. That was one thing I hadn't tried purely becuase it is such a pain in the ***. I reset the phone and set it up as a new one and bingo, it worked fine. I then went to restor from backup, after which, same issue, Could not activate mobile data network, so another reset and now I'm pretty furious that all my phone contacts, apps and messages have all gone.
Next question would be how to transfer phone contacts from phone to sim. I have lost all new numbers that have gone into the phone for the last year, so if I reset again, restore from backup, transfer numbers to sim, then reset again and set up as new phone I should be able to recover numbers at least.

Howto block mobile data from 3720?

I'm using 3720 as emergency/backup phone and my subscription does not include mobile data, which is then very expensive.
Is there any way to block gprs data usage from the phone?

General packet radio service (GPRS) is a network service that allows mobile phones to send and receive data over an internet protocol (IP)-based network.
To define how to use the service, select Menu > Settings > Connectivity >Packet data > Packet data conn. > Select When needed.

I have recently acquired an iPhone 3G 16GB. It is unlocked and I have put my sim card in (Virgin Mobile) and used it without problem when calling or sending text messages. The internet all works fine when connected to a wi-fi network.
In the top left hand corner it says '3G', however if I try anything related to the internet (Safari, Twitter etc.) a message will appear reading 'Could not activate mobile data network'. This is very inconvenient for me. All internet related activities work fine when connected to a wi-fi network.
Is this a problem with all unlocked phones? Is there a solution to this? Or am I simply unable to use the internet without wi-fi on this model?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, all questions may sound silly, but this is my first iPhone and I am very inexperienced with them!

First, you don't have a 3G if you have iOS 6.1.4. The 3G cannot go higher than iOS 4.2.1. That is not related to your problem, but worth knowing.
Let's try the obvious first. Tap the Settings icon. Then tap General. Then Cellular. Is Cellular Data on? Is there an entry for APN? If there is contact your carrier and ask what the APN settings should be. If there is no entry don't worry; the APN is automatic with your carrier.

Further, if you are not in your home cellular carrier's area, you need to set Settings > General > Cellular > Data Roaming = "On".

NI says that existing DIAdem licenses (not up-to-date, but legal) on VLM cannot be merged with new (up-to-date) LabVIEW licenses will not work on VLM. Why cannot two separate license files be installed? Or, what about the alternative of running two VLM installations on one server by using different ports? Do I really have to have two VLM installations, each on a different server??

Share os10 wifi connection (not the mobile data)

Hello Gentlemen, Quick question: how to share the wifi connection of my bbz10 with tethering or mobile hotspot or whatever. I am connected to a wifi netwrok with the phone and I want to share this wifi with my laptop (unfortunately I cant connect ti this network with my laptop). I do not want to use the mobile data, but if I press tethering it tries to force me to enable mobile data. cheers.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Nope...the HotSpot function works by using the carrier data network connection on the device for any other devices connected to the devices WiFi hotspot. When the hotspot is activated, the ability for the device to use WiFi for data is deactivated. There is no bridge between WiFi data for the device and other devices connected via WiFi.

Not getting mobile data / APN question

I dropped and broke my Verizon-issued Samsung Galaxy S4 while outside the U.S. (in India). I locally purchased a new phone (same model) and inserted my Verizon SIM. I am able to make and receive phone calls and texts, but no mobile data. I created an APN entry using settings I found in an online forum but it didn't work. I don't know if the settings are correct or not (why aren't they published on Verizon's site??), or if it's not working because I'm 'roaming' or if something else is wrong. Please help.

If Kilted's suggestion does not work, you might to enter your carrier's APN settings manually. They are generally found under SETTINGS>>GENERAL but in practice I have found that the location varies from carrier/SIM to Carrier/SIM.
You can get the APN settings from your carrier.

Limiting, not blocking, Cellular Data Roaming

I'm trying to find out a way that allows us to supply our staff with iPhones, but limit liability with regards to overseas data roaming. The problem is probably quite common-- our staff travel a fair bit, so we have a cellular data plan that gives them a fixed cap of free of world-wide data roaming. Our Telco isn't great at blocking the data from overrunning, as they say their info only gets updated daily, so overages could happen for an entire day before it was blocked.
We educate the users about how to avoid going over that limit, and largely that's successful-- but occasionally, as I'm sure everyone has experienced at one point or another, someone forgets to flip the switch, or installs a new app without thinking, and then quickly they can run up a tremendous data bill.
Is there a way in Apple Configurator, or on the device itself, where I could set up a rule limiting roaming data? Ideally I just want to tell the Configurator "Please limit these users to 500mb roaming data per month, then turn off and lock roaming data".

Time is not saving with Date

I have a created a report and form. Now I am trying to populate one of the columns with a date and time. The column will store the date. However, it will not save the time. I am fairly certain that my process to set the field is correct as I am able to save the date/time in a string and the time stores correct.
The database column is of type Date.
The column is setup as follows:
Display As: Date Picker (YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI)
Source Type: Database Column
Edit Mask: YYYY-MM-DD HH:MIPM
Any help would be appreciated.

OK. I was able to figure it out. I had to fully qualify the date format when making the assignment. i.e. TO_CHAR(v_today, 'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI').

Filter a list-views on page by Date and Time column, not only by Date (Connected Webpart)

I have a task - create a page and display on it all lists/libraies with documents of team meetings. Every meeting has a documents and another information, which is storing in the same lists/libraries on website as another meetings. Additionally there
is a field "MeetingDate" (type: DateTime), which help to indetify a meeting documents.
I have added all on one page and my custom connected webpart (IWebpartRow interface), which help to filter all views on page by field meeting date. It send a date to another webparts on page, and user see information only for this date.
It works fine, but the problem is, that it used only DATE (without time) and i need now to filter all by date and time.
Unfortunately, i noticed that i cannot filter items by date with time in the standard list too. Please see my screenshot.
My question is: may be i should use another interface (not IWebPartRow) that to send 2 values (1 - date, 2 - time) and filter all by 2 columns. Is it possible?

Per my understanding, you might want to display all the specific documents in a page, they can be filtered by values of a Date and time column.
A possible solution I will provide is that, we can create custom visual web part to display all these documents. In the code behind, run a query with CAML to retrieved all the
documents with the specific date and time, then generate a view of hyperlinks that points to these documents.
In this way, we can combine the filter component with the data display component into one web part, with the help of CAML query and Object Model, it would not be a tough job to
implement such a solution.

Time does not show on Date field

When doing a query for an attribute that is of type DATE I get the following type of result:
Sun 01-Apr-2001 00:00:00
I have tried casting it to type java.util.Date / java.sql.Date / java.sql.Timestamp...... and the results are the same.
I've been told by the DBA that the times do exist in those fields.... so I'm assuming it must be the JDBC driver or perhaps a jdbc configuration or database configuration?

Time Machine Not Up to Date

After a recursive rm -rf in my home directory (~) went awry, I was initially grateful that I had Time Machine doing its thing. My mood quickly soured, however, when I looked at the most recent backup - about 45 minutes prior to the data loss and found that the desktop was entirely out of date (by at least a week or more) as well as other directories and files. With nothing left to do but restore from this most recent backup, I did so successfully. However, in addition to the out-of-date desktop, a Mail account that I had added a few days ago failed to come through with the restore. Who knows what else was missed?
Has anyone else experienced simliar results? There's no way that I'm depending on Time Machine moving foward. Too bad.
