Hi,
This is regarding the Manager time sheets.
Manager has rights to change the employee time sheet.
When the employee time sheet data is changed by Manager ,at that moment generate email to the employee.
how i will achive this functionality.
is there any BAPI for this one.Please tell to me.

0ca_ts_is_1(Time sheet data (Approved) No of records are wrong

Hi Experts,
we need to extract the data from 0ca_ts_is_1(Time sheet data (Approved) but the problem is the no of records in the table CATSDB with status is 849 but in RSA3 (0ca_ts_is_1) there are 500 records only.
could you kindly suggest me any OSS notes please.

in BW you will see only the time sheet data wich are ok, that means , which have been confirmed (Approve?)

I got the following error message when I try to apply OT through CAT2.
Message no. HRTIM00CATS208
Diagnosis
The time sheet record from 18:00 - 19:00 o'clock collides with an attendance or absence of less than one day recorded in HR Time Management. The record entered in HR Time Management is entered in the next line.
My overtime is record in infotype 2002 and subtypes 1010 while the attendance is in infotype 2002 and subtype 1000. I just want the overtime to check against the absences (e.g. leave) but not the attendance. This attendance is just for display only.
Any idea how to configure?

My constraint class for infotype 2002 subtype 1000 (attandance) is 1 and infotype 2002 subtype 1010 (overtime) is 2.
I already specify any class of infotype 2002 that crash with 2002 (any class) to N at V_554Y_B. But it is still giving me the same error message.
Any idea?

Cross Day work issue in Time Evaluation for positive recording.

Dear Experts,
We would like to know whether anyone else has faced the below described issue before or has any suggestions for the same.
Issue Background: We are uploading time events from the clocking recording system into SAP using an interface program. The clocking events are loaded without indicator 'M' and based on whether they belong to current day then assignment is '=' and '<' for previous day assignment.
Issue Description: Some operational staff have planned daily shifts from 00:00 - 08:30. Hence they can clock-in before 00:00 on the previous day and since there is no 'Next Day Indicator' in SAP, we split the time events so that if the clock-in is at 23:00 previous day then the time pairs are formed as
23:00 - 24:00 Current Day with Day assignment '='
00:00 - 08:30 Next Day with Day assignment '='
When we run the time evaluation, the day assignment for Next day pair 00:00 - 08:30 is automatically changed to '<'. This makes the Next day without any events and the time evaluation throws error in the next day.
Now instead of automatic upload, if we manually upload the same time events, the records are as follows:
23:00 - 24:00 Current Day with Day Assignment '+' and Origin Indicator 'M'
00:00 - 08:30 Next Day with Day Assignment '+' and Origin Indicator 'M'
Now if we execute time evaluation, the behaviour is as per expected and the time evaluation doesn't change the day assignment for any records.
Work Around Proposed: Keep atleast 1 sec difference between the time events say the above records can be uploaded as follows:
23:00 - 23:59 Current Day with Day assignment '='
00:00 - 08:30 Next Day with Day assignment '='
But we would like to avoid this if possible.
Summary: In brief we would like to know whether why time evaluation has different processing for Origin indicator 'M' and SPACE.

Activity type in time sheet

Hi all,
In PS we donu2019t capture any cost. In such case, While entering timesheet, the system through an error message, to enter sender Activity type and it is not allowing to enter timesheet.
Now, what should be done to skip entering activity type and enter timesheet without entering activity type?
I guess it is controlled through work center, by not maintaining costing tab, but the system does not allow to save the work center without entering the cost center under costing tab.
Please suggest, in entering time sheet without activity type

Go to --> SPRO --> Cross Application Components --> Time Sheet --> Settings for all User Interfaces --> Time Recording --> Choose Fields -->Data Entry section --> Activity types
Double click and in reference to data entry profiles we can restrict the entry for the activity type whether it is required / Display / Hide / Input.
Check and confirm whether the problem is solved

Time sheet upload to Service entry sheet

We have contractors, who works in our project. They are not on payroll. We have service PO for them. They are thru some third party vendor. Vendor gives the Time sheet, and we enter the service entry sheet, make the invoice & do the payment.
Now the requirement is, that the service entry sheet should be created from Time sheet (third part xls file). Can this be uplaoded to create service entry sheet ??

Dear Amit,
You can use the transaction CAT2, but as far as I know you need to copy / paste teh content from your excel file.
You may consider using one of the following BAPIs to insert, change or
delete CATS data via collective time recording:
BAPI_CATIMESHEETMGR_CHANGE
BAPI_CATIMESHEETMGR_DELETE
BAPI_CATIMESHEETMGR_INSERT

Problem with CAT2 - Time Sheet

Hi Friends,
We have recently upgraded the support packs and while testing the CAT2 transaction, when we correct the Time Sheet of an employee, system is giving an error message that " Collision with Full-Day HR record, there is a PTO in place on the same days but system should over write the existing entry in R/3.
Can any one give some inputs on this scenerio.

Transferring Time Sheet Data to Controlling/Financial Module

All:
I have an issue I am entering data via CAT2 and have supplied a receiver cost center, using wage type MI10 and entered times 8 hours per day. I have entered salary data into the basic pay via Personnel Management. I have approved the time sheet data but it appears that it is only relevant for transfer to the HR module and not the CO module. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am attempting to use these modules to record actual hours worked and associated wage rates then post entries to CO for reporting.

Sorry I wasn't clear it appears that it is not available for transfer to controlling. It appears it is only building the data structures for transfer in HR and not CO. I get the message "No data for transfer" it appears once I approve the time sheet data it creates intermediate structures/table for transferring to other modules and is only creating the structure/table for HR. I can successfully transfer data to HR but not CO. What data on the time sheet entry triggers it to build the CO structures/tables.

MSS Time sheet appearing to reporting Manager and Unit Head

Hello Experts,
We are implementing MSS in project and we are facing a problem:
- We have Org structure
Unit Head (chief Position)
^
Asst Manager (not a chief postion) reports to Unit Head
^
Associates (not a chief postion) reports to Asst manager
Now when employees goes and submits his time sheet it appears correctly to Asst Manager in MSS Time sheet Approval by Line Manager.
Now the problem is that Associate's time sheet is also appearing to Unit Head. Incase Unit head selects it and approve, it will get approved which is incorrect. The Associates time sheet should only appear to Asst Manager not to Unit Head.
Please help us how we can resolve this problem.

As per your scenrio time sheet approval only for one level only. In workflow try to use logic A002 relation ship (Reports to). That means employees reporting manager.
Discuss the same with your workflow consultant they will help you. Whoever is submit time sheet & it will go to employee line manager using A002 Relation ship.

The ESSTimeSheet is now called Record Working Time & for now it is still in WebDynpro JAVA.. looking at how complex the whole application is, it will really take some beating to rewrite the same in WDA.

..the data may be summarized
what is the level on granularity in CATSDB
Is all the fields in this table are seen in the datasource 0ca_ts_is_1
If some fields are missing the data is summarized to the next available level of granularity
You can see the combined totals of table contents and RSA3 total contents of certain key figures to ensure this

ESS time sheet in pdf format

We have configured the ESS Record working time and after entering the Time Sheet we want to export the timesheet into PDF or users need to print the timesheet, can some body pls help me if this can be done in the backend.
