Time stream and Factory Calendar settings issue. Problems in scheduling!!

Hi,
We have a factory calendar of working days from SUN-THU only (5 days a week).
Every working day starts at 07:00:00 (first shift) and ends at 06:59:59 at the following day.
I am not sure how to set the time stream. Do I set it for daily (5 days a week) with gaps start at 07:00:00. Or, as the standard way as daily (all days 1 -7) 00:00:00 - 23:59:59 without gaps.
We are using the planning board to schedule production orders that were created in ECC, but we see that we have problems with date corelation between the systems, and we think it is due to some wrong setting of the time stream!
Thanks for your replies

Hi,
For scheduling, the time stream of resource is relevent. As to how to generated the time stream, it depends on your resource capacity setting and your factory calendar. I'm not sure why your factory calendar starts at 7:00:00 daily. For the time steam of the resource, it should be ok to start at 7:00:00, and you mayexecute the time stream generation (ta. /sapapo/rest02) to save the time stream in LiveCache.

  • Time Streams and Shipping Dates

    Hello,
Does anyone have any documentations regarding time streams? I am checking on how time streams and determination of shipping dates such as loading date, pricing date, GI date, etc. are related.
I noticed that when we run ZZTTSTR program from SAP which clears time stream handles, before we create order documents, somehow some order documents determine wrong shipping dates.
We setup a background job to run ZZTTSTR daily every night and during the day we upload order files which converts to about 500-1000 order IDOCs and posted to be order documents.
Now, i removed the backround job of ZZTTSTR and the issue never happened again. I'm looking for more info about time streams so I can determine how this caused my issue.
    I hope someone can help.

You will get it within the window you were originally promised by Apple. If you get it early, bonus.
There is nothing else anyone here can say about it.

  • Difference between holiday calendar and factory calendar

    Hi SAP Gurus,
Can any one please let me know the difference between holiday calendar and factory calendar? Why and when we will use the factory calendar?
    I appreciate your help.
    Regards
    Swathi

    Hi,
Factory calendar needs to be maintained if you're using some logistics module that require factory calendar.
(Generally for running MRP - Material resource planning, etc. factory calendar maintenance is a must)
Holiday calendar should have been maintained before factory calendar and holiday cal is assigned to factory cal.
Each factory calendar should be assigned to a plant.
For further info pls check the following thread:

  • Schedule line and factory calendar problems

Hello experts. I am having some trouble with the schedule lines in our sales orders. There used to be only one schedule line with the requested qty and the confirmed qty. But ever since I configured the factory calender in our shipping poitns, there have been appearing two shipping lines. The first one, with today's delivery date and the requested quantity. The second one with the confirmed quantity and a delivery date a few days in the future. Does anyone know how I can configure so that the shipping lines stay on one line, with today's delivery date?
Here are links to print screens of what is happening:

    http://img118.imageshack.us/img118/1561/delivery2ho7.jpg

    Hi Edson,
I believe this is a result of your availability check.  Now that you have maintained the factory calendars, the lead time takes into account free days vs. working days maintained in the factory calendar.
Example: today's date is 9/27 and your lead time is 5 days
Before you maintained the factory calendars, SAP was assuming all calendar days are working days.  Therefore, an order with RDD of 10/2 would be confirmed.
Now let's say you maintain the factory calendar with the weekends free.  5 working days from the 27th is 10/4.  Your order will no longer be confirmed unless you change the RDD to 10/4.
    Hope this helps,
    Rob

  • 3tb time capsual and Apple tv performance issues

I have just upgraded my airport extreme 1st gen to a 3tb 4th gen time capsule. I did it becuas of growing performance issues with apple TV's 1st and 2nd gen. I thought the dual band and improved power would solve the issue. I've tried all sorts of set ups to the time capsule and I'm getting just as irratic performance. Has anyone got any advice on the best set up for optimum performance please?

To successfully stream, either audio or video, the key for uninterrupted performance is adequate bandwidth between the media source and the playback device. Your current network is primarily dependent on wireless connections. The extended network alone loses some bandwidth to maintaining the extended network itself. Also, any non-"n" clients (including the 802.11b/g AXs) will "slow down" the "n" network in order for them to be able to communicate at their top speed.
Of your 802.11n gear, only the 4th generation TC (& I believe the ATV2) are full implementations of the 802.11n standard. Both 802.11n AXns are draft "n." This too would have an overall effect on the available bandwidth.
Again since your network is primarily wireless, there are at least four areas to go after to look for improvements:
You must have enough available bandwidth between the media source and destination. You can use utilities like iperf or jperf to do this. You will want to make some data transfer (throughput) measurements both between the media source and destination, and segments between them to find out where actual bottlenecks occur.
You must have a clear wireless radio channel. Use a utility, like iStumbler to determine the other Wi-Fis operating in the vicinity that may be competing with yours. Specifically look for those with the strongest signal value and note which channels they are running on. Then change yours to be at least 3-5 channels away to prevent Wi-Fi interference.
Know the media's bandwidth requirements. Looking at the worst-case scenario of what your ATVs can support, which would be 720p 30fps HD format. This would equate to around a minimum of 6-7 MBps (48-56 Mbps) of bandwidth between the video file source and the video player. Actually, I would recommend 20+ MBps as the minimum. 802.11g (at its best) would offer 6.75 MBps (54 Mbps), so 802.11n would be required for anything beyond SD video.
Re-code the media if possible. If the data transfer peaks exceed the available bandwidth, the audio/video will experience drop-outs. You can always try re-encoding the media source with one that uses a tighter compression schema. However, as you can imagine, the greater the compression, the poorer the audio/video quality.

  • Exchange 2010 and iphone calendar sync issues

    Hey,
I know this question has been asked plenty of times before and just need a straight resolution. We have just migrated our environment to Exchange 2010 and the major issue is that when an event is created in Outlook 2011 it is not always showing up on their iphone and also vis versa. Is their a resolution to this problem so I can implement it in an emergency change. Thank you for all your help!

Here let me explain the scenario again any user who logs in to exchange from outlook working fine password not expired and he has iphone active sync working no issues , now while all devices are working when he starts his ipad after a week or so when he
opens his email on ipad it prompts the password on ipad and same time on iPhone , he does not want to enter the password and wants a technical justification , I told the user something to do with Exchange 2010 sp2 and ios 7 ,but that is invalid justification
. if you have any other valid justification please let me know. or a solution to this issue. user wants to login without any password prompt while the password is saved in device and not expired , is there any feature in Exchange 2010 sp2 that would recognize
how many days device has not logged it and would force to enter the password.

  • 1st Gen Time Capsule and External Hard Drive Issues

I have a 1st generation Time Capsule and have never had any luck connecting an external hard drive (both Western Digital MyBook and Seagate FreeAgent Pro) via an USB hub for an extended period. They will connect for a few hours or up to a day or two before they lose the connection and look up the wi-fi connection (although the internet and connected printer don't seem affected). Thought it might be an issue with the powered hub, but have same issue with both (Belkin and APC). I have read that others have had similar issues.
For laughs, I connected a dinky personal drive (WD My Passpoert 750gb) to the USB hub and it came up instantly and had no issues for the 12+ hours it was connected. Question #1: can I run a portable drive for an extended period of time (weeks, months, years) via USB hub without killing it?
Also, I would like to house my large iTunes and iPhoto libraries to be accessed by 3 different MacBooks. Question #2: is a NAS drive connected directly via ethernet to the TC is the best answer?
I am spoiled by the simplicity of the plug-and-play connectivity of Apple products. Is there a mysterious sequence of procedures that I need to follow to get the Time Capsule to play well with the USB connected HDs?
Thanks in advance for your help.

To answer the general question, a drive that is constantly spinning is both more likely to be damaged and less likely to give issues of access to the USB.. the one fights the other. Feel the small passport drive and see if it is continually spinning.. if so that could account for it maintaining connection.. although according to your testing 12hrs is not long enough to know for sure. Feel the other drives. If they spin down and then when you try to access them, do they spin up? Or is it the spin down time that dictates the time they are available on the network. It may simply be a case of usb connected to a router is not getting the correct spin up info.
IMHO a NAS is the right way to do this.. especially if you have multiple computers accessing it. USB is not a fast connection. Especially hanging off the TC series 1, were not renowned for speed. A NAS is not that expensive now and using a mirrored raid you at least have some protection. Remember to always have the source files in mulitple locations. A NAS can also work as an itunes server, which the TC cannot. And the connection from gigabit ethernet to sata is not made via usb.
As a secondary option.. open your series 1 TC and put in a 2TB hdd.. this is well documented.. larger sizes give trouble but the series one can easily be updated to 2TB.. remember also the power supply in a series one can go at any moment. Get ready for it, plan for it.. one day it will happen.

  • Please Help - Time Capsule and External hard drive Issues

Recently, I switched from Comcast to AT&T uverse as my internet provider and I started experiencing problems.
    (1) I have a 4th generation Apple Time Capsule which I am using as my router.
    (2) Connected to the Apple Time Capsule - USB - is an external hard drive (not for backup with Time Machine.)
    (3) I have a 2011 Macbook pro which I use to access my file on my time capsule and external hard drive.
    (4) I had been using my AT&T portable Hotspot from my cell phone to get internet access on my MacBook pro from remote locations to gain access to my external hard drive which is attached to the time capsule.
    (5) On August 2, 2014, I switched from Comcast to AT&T and had the AT&T turn off the router function. (I have been using the router from my apple time capsule)
    (6) Under Network I switched to bridge mode.
    (7) And since August 2, 2014 my time capsule has not been backup.
THE PROBLEM - I need to be able to use the hotspot function from my cell phone to gain access on the external hard drive using my MacBook Pro which I was able to do before. Now it is showing time capsule under finder but unable to connect.
Do I need to reset my Time Capsule since I have a new service provider. Everything else works fine - meaning able to get internet signal but unable to access my external hard drive and backup my time capsule. Please HELP.

If you got ATT to turn off router function in their modem..
Then 6. is wrong.. You cannot have the Network switched to bridge mode..
You must have it set to dhcp and nat.
That is also why you cannot backup.. the TC is off the network.
Please change back to router mode in the TC.
Ensure the internet tab shows dhcp and you create a wireless network.
Then power down the TC... power down the ATT modem.. wait about 20min (you can try 5min.. but it might not be long enough).
Power up the ATT modem.. wait 2min for things to flash lights in de right blinkin order.. then start the TC.
Open the airport utility and make sure your TC captured the public IP and is now working as the router.
That should fix that end of it.. the hotspot end??
    Tell us what happens.

  • Difference between Planning Calendar and Factory Calendar

    AS,
Can anyone clarify me how Planning Calendar is different from Factory Calendar?. When do we maintain Planning Calendar?. Does we need to follow any steps in configuring Factory Calendar?
I guess you must have overlooked the rules of engagement. It is customary in these forums for questioners to first perform basic research before posting any questions.
First, search in the forums (search box in the upper right of this page).
Next, check online help. This help is generic.  For instance,

  • Changes to Factory Calendar Not reflected in work schedule

I have updated the exsisting factory calendar in PRD .
Yet the changes do not seem to have taken effect. I have tried to regernerate the work schedule. However I'am not sure I have done that properly.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you

Hi.. you cant expect any change in the Factory calender affecting work schedules. If you want the work schedules to be updated with the holidays you need to be updating the holiday calender.

  • IOS 6 and Exchange Calendar Sync Issues

My company has been having several issues with iOS6 active sync and Exchange 2010 (sp2 ru4 v2).
    Issues:
    1. When an appointment is updated by the organizer the initial appointment does not update on the iOS device. Instead a 2nd appointment is created at the new time causing both appointments to be present.
    2. When an appointment is updated by the organizer the iOS device does not reflect the updated date / time. This seems to happen more than not with recurring events.
Does anyone know if apple is aware or what the procedure would be for me to open a case with them directlty? All iOS devices are fully updated (to avoid the tansaction log bug that was happening).

Same issue here Sam, with several users in our organization of about 2500 iPhone and iPad users, mostly iPhone.
I have been watching your post for over two weeks now and no one has responded.  Have you learned anything in the interim?

I have a staff member in our association who has recently upgraded to IOS 6.1.3 on her iPhone and ever since, whenever she creates an event on her iPhone calendar that is synced with her work Exchange account, it will appear on Outlook on her computer, as its supposed to, but moments later it will disappear from her phone and I can't get it to reappear. Any thoughts?

  • Quicktime Export - Keynote, Streaming, and Movie Controller Settings

A few questions regarding qt export from keynote -
Is there a way to save quicktime export settings in keynote? Right now I'm exporting multiple files to custom sizes, and have to manually enter the size every time.
I'm exporting for streaming as well, and have to select it in the qt settings window every time.
also, is there a way to choose to show the movie controller when exporting a movie? Now I have to open the movie after export in qt pro and choose window>movie properties>presenation>movie controller type>movie controller (it defaults to none when exporting from keynote).
also, oddly enough, is seems that saving the movie after choosing to show the movie controller removes the streaming setting (movies wait to load completely before playing).
    Thanks!

No answer to the main question...but the final question--
When you edit a QuickTime movie, even if the edit is merely to change the settings on the controller, it breaks fast-start. You should be able to fix it by doing a "Save As..." instead of saving the movie in place. But that doesn't seem to work in all versions of QuickTime; I have noticed that certain versions of QT-7 seem to break fast-start altogether.
There is an app out there called "Lillipot" that will fix this for you. Drag your movie to Lillipot, it does whatever magical conversion is necessary to make fast-start work again.
