Time stretch percentage is greyed out
I'm trying to adjust the speed of a clip using the time stretch tool, but when I click on time stretch, the percentage is greyed out and I'm not able to modify it. I'm using Premiere Elements 10. Is this not a feature of Premiere Elements and is only available in Premiere Pro?
Time Stretch, by the way, can not be applied to titles any more than it can be applied to stills. Because, technically, they don't have "time". They're still graphics (even if you've applied animations to them).
Extending the clip should very much slow down the animation. But I guess it depends on which animation you've applied.
Is it roll/crawl animation? Or is it one of the Text Animations in the Title workspace? Or is it from somewhere else?
If it's one of the Text Animations, try going back into the Title workspace (after you've lengthened the clip's duration), select the text block and remove the animation -- then re-apply the animation.

Hi I'm using a 1TB WD Electronics external drive which is partitioned (265GIG used so far)

i use one half as a regular external drive and one half to take care of TM back ups
i recently plugged in the drive and the Time Machine back up has failed and there's no TM icon on the desktop and the TM partition is greyed out in Disk utility
i've turned TM off at the moment
any ideas to get TM running again?

Power Manager - Battery Stretch options greyed out
When I am running on battery, the various checkboxes for the Battery Stretch options are greyed out. Normally they are only greyed out when running on AC power, but mine are greyed out all of the time. How do I fix this?
I suspect became got corrupted in the registry. I had the problem described at http://www.brandlehner.at/Brandlehner/cab_blog.nsf/d6plinks/CBRR-6YWBNV but managed to fix it.
Windows XP SP3, T61 7551-V51, Power Manager 1.73, Power Management Driver 1.60.0.4.

in case you want to use this option properly, make sure, that you have the latest version of Power manager, Poewr management utility, System interface driver and Hotkey installed.
In case once of them is older verison, especially Power management driver, then this situation amy appear.

Grey out the Time field in date assignment block

In my project we need to create a date profile in which i need a date rule to get today date and the time should be greyed out. i tried all day event but not working out for Zdate type. I tried different date types but Time field is not greyed out ( changing time to 00:00 is possible but client needs time to be empty)

as far I understand you want to define a certain date type as read only. There are several different ways to achieve your requirement:
date profile customizing: you can set the date as read only
I did not get your requirement of the time field, you can however play around with the following display customizing:
use BAdI CRM_APPOINTMENT_BADI to influence the appointment set
enhance the UI component, using the I-getter you can change a field to read only on UI level

Mac Book Pro -
My MacBook Pro (2008 Model) has been unable to start up - upon the start up screen when the grey Apple logo appears, I get a loading bar below it.
After about 15-20 minutes when the bar is almost complete the machine shuts off. There seems to be no way around it.
So I booted up my laptop in recovery mode, and opened Disk Utility to check my if there was something wrong with my drives -
my Macintosh HD (under the TOSHIBA drive) is greyed out. When I hit verify/repair it returns error messages and it remains greyed out.
I tried multiple times and a few times it stopped being greyed out on the sidebar, but even then it wouldn't let me verify or repair.
Not backing up my data recently is my obvious fault here, but I just wanted to know if there is ANY way to salvage my data.
Things I've tried:
1) Recovery Mode
-Veryify/Disk Repair doesn't work
-Time Machine can't seem to access my HD either (greyed out)
2) TargetDisk mode
-I connected my MacBook Pro via firewire to my Mac Pro in TargetDisk mode and no Hardrive shows up on my finder.
Any advice appreciated, going to try and take it to a tech shop on Monday.
Thank you!I would take out the HDD and install it in an enclosure and then connect that to the Mac Pro and see if there is any success.
If not, then look for data recovery software on the Internet. Most will have a 'trial' version that will indicate if the software will be successful or not, so you do not have to commit funds without knowing if it will work or not.
The last option is a professional recovery service. There will be no guarantees of success and the costs will be very high.

I wish to pick ' show my windows and tabs from last time' but this is greyed out??It sounds like you may have some other settings changed that prevent Firefox from restoring your tabs and windows. Here's what to check:
#At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button (Tools menu in Windows XP) and then click Options
#Select the Privacy panel and make sure Firefox will: is set to either Remember history or Use custom settings for history.
#*If Firefox will: is set to Use custom settings for history then make sure that Permanent Private Browsing mode is not selected.
#*If Firefox will: is set to Use custom settings for history and Clear history when Firefox closes is selected, then click the Settings button and make sure that Browsing History is not selected.
#Click OK to close the Options window -
Although Logic's time-stretch algorithm's have come on a long way over the years, they're still no match for 3rd party equivalents.
I've been very impressed with Serato's Pitch n Time, & Melodyne, but wondered if I've over-looked any others? Any opinions on the most transparent time-stretch algorithm or software out there? (Primarily for monophonic sources - mainly vocals).Aside from the ones you've mentioned I'm not sure there is much else thats comparable - except Pro Tools but thats a different kettle of fish.
I think aside from DNA in Melodyne, they improved the general monophonic algorithm in the new version and it's much better than it was. -
I have been trying to add my iPhoto Library to files for time machine backup.
I was instructed to click on the Options minus button - but it is greyed out and not functional.
What is the solution ?

Roberto KayYou can "see" the iPhoto library in Time Machine backups, but you cannot "open" the library or "browse" the contents while you are in Time Machine.
Apple makes you restore the entire iPhoto library to another destination...like your desktop....if you want to retrieve a few older images that you may have deleted by mistake.
This is a convoluted mess, but unfortunately, that is the way it is.

Trying to restore after getting a new hard drive. I can see the backup on the Time Capsule and on the correct date but it is Greyed out. That is it wont let me open it and restore the machine. Have tried also Migration Assistant, no luck.

At startup hold down the Command+Option/Alt+r keys until you see a globe on the screen. Then use disk utility to partition and format the drive HSF+ and then select Reinstall Mac OS X. whatever version of OS X that originally came on your system will be installed and then you can upgrade back to Mavericks. -
Hello, I have songs that show they are "Waiting" for download from the cloud but they are greyed out. Some songs in one album are done others in the same album will not download. It is not a time function because i have been working on this for weeks. I have allowed my compter to run for days and the songs are still not accessible. I have a Match subscription and Match is working. If I click on the "Genre" link the greyed out songs show that they are ready for download from the cloud but I cannot download them. I have downloaded over 1500 other songs, so I am trying to understand what is going on here. I would appreciate any help anyone can give me.
ThanksI did think about that and if I have to I will do that, however there are about 50 songs. I have closed and reopened iTunes several times and I am sure that I have the latest version. It fails right away but I can click on the cloud download icon and download the song that it failed on ... therefore it is not that song "or any one song" causing the issue. Any ideas?

In iCal, "Available Meeting Times" greys out working hours one day off, MS Exchange
I am using iCal, accessing an MS Exchange server. When setting up a meeting, "Available Meeting Times" greys out the non-working hours of potential meeting participants. However, the days are one day off. E.g. the working hours of my collegues are displayed are Tuesday-Sunday instead of Monday-Friday. The dates and times of meetings are relayed correctly. Only the display of the working hours seems to be off.
Needless to say that my collegues are using Windows Outlook, and everything works there.I still have the same issue. Had it ever since at least 2010 and meanwhile we switched Exchange-Servers and I'm on Mavericks, but still. Looks to me as if iCal requests something like "getWorkDays" from teh Server. The Server probably replies [2,3,4,5,6]. When the week starts on Sunday, this is perfectly fine. But if the Week starts on Monday, this will give you Tue-Sat as available Days. So it might be a bug in either Exchange or iCal to treat that information correctly, but I'm not obv. not sure about that.

I have a late mode IMac 27" running Snow Leopard. I downloaded Mountain Lion from the Apple Store and paid for it. When I trie to install it took me through the first few pages of installation such as agrreeing to terms and the Lion Page showed up asking where I wanted to intall Mountain Lion. The install button was greyed out. I also had a message this disc is used for Time Machine. I had no other disc to choose from. Time Mahine was in the OFF position. I tried hooking up an external drive and tried using it as th Time Machine Backup. That did not work and it also said this disc is used by Time Machine. I have read of several other cases like this but have found no solution other than doinh a complee wipe of the hard drive and doing a reinstall which I really want to avoid if I can.
Look at the root of your hard drive for a folder called Backups.backupdb.
Or, a sparse bundle disk image for one of mobile computers that might have tried to back up to your Mac.
If you have those, remove them and try again. -
Hi - just using the new iMovie for the first time - apparently there should be a sidebar containing tools like "Content Library". Not on mine - even in Window view, Content Library features like text etc are all greyed out - obviously it's me - anyone help please?

I cant be positive but I think this started when my iPhone did an automatic software update. I couldn't get any WiFi connection because when I go to turn it back on the iPhone wont let me and Greys out my WiFi on/off button.
But also I think something happened to my iCloud connect as well because next to my iCloud Drive under "Settings" it has that spinning symbol that usually denotes waiting for something to finish downloading. But this time it never stopped! Its been spinning saying "iCloud is Upgrading" for 2 weeks now! I have tried the on/off iPhone restart or reset, and I've even put my iPhone into "Recovery Mode" as a last resort. but when iTunes was finished "Restoring" it, nothing had changed; Still Greyed out WiFi button and iCloud is still "Upgrading"! I am a bit confused with your statement -

return true;returning the result TRUE when both fields are not null
And this statement -
elsif ((p_select_list is null) and (p_text_field is null)) then
return true;returning the result TRUE again when both fields are null. If you see closely basically is not validating becoz it returning true whatever the input is.
I do not know what you want to use the second statement when you have else statement at the end. It will return false if one or both fields are null unless you want to validate either text field.
