Time type Initialization based on financial year instead of calendar year.

Hi All,
I'm facing this problem. By using time type i'm capturing the no of worked days for a calendar year. This Time Type is used for calculating Privilege Leave which will be divided by 20 in the year end for Quota calculation. But when I run PT60 for the period 31.03.2014 to 01.04.2014. The Time types are automatically getting Initialized.
Here Time Evaluation is running based on financial year not as calendar year ? How to change the same to calendar year.
Already I have searched few solution here. As per the below link
PT60 generating for financial year but not for calendar year . But i'm facing the same issue.
Please suggest me the solution for this.

The Time evaluation is running for Financial year (Apr - mar). But I need it to be run for Calendar Year. I gave PL Quota Time Type as an Example. But its happening to all the Time types.
Pls suggest me how to run Time evaluation for calendar year.
Please see the screenshot below (Time Type 9t01, 9t78, 9t80)
All the above three time types are getting initialized on April, but i want this to happen on 1st Jan.
I'll share my PCR if needed.

Below are our open questions at this point
1) Can you please let us know what would happen if the transition closes on the middle of the month
Example: We will close the month end, year end at the end of the month but what would happen if we close at the middle of the month (say DEC 15th instead of DEC 31st)
2) Will it be short? From 1st October 2010 - 31st December 2010.
Or will it be long? From 1st October 2010 - 31st December 2011.
Can you please let us know the pros and cons for each of these?
3) According to the Metalink note Id 102460.1, the application will prevent you from making changes to calendar the unless you meet the following qualifications:
a) All the periods to be changed have a status of Never Opened.
This condition does not match to the current situation at the clients place as we don’t have the status "Never Opened" for any of the periods in the accounting calendar in
subledgers
b) A budget year that includes the periods to be changed is no t yet opened.
Budget year is already opened for the year 2011 at the clients placec) An encumbrance year that includes the periods to be changed is not yet opened.

Calendar day and Calendar Year/Week mapping

I am unable to view Calendar Year/Week and Calendar Day ...Data..
I have observed that they have not mapped in the Update rules of 0SD_C03 InfoCube...

Well, you can try easing the shift key up with something thin but flexible (credit card sort of thing) but if the contacts below are stuck you may need to get it seen to by an authorised repairer.
If you can borrow a keyboard (a PC one will probably work as long as the password is alpha-numeric with no special characters) you can at least get in to backup your HD before going for repair.

0HR_PT_2 How to get back historical data for new report time type

Hi All Expert,
We have implemented and using the 0HR_PT_2 extractor for the past whole year. The Delta is working. Recently, there is requirement to read more data from the ZL custer table, and more new BW Report Time Types are added to extract such data.
The delta doesn't pick up the the past whole year data of the new report time type that we added.
Do we need to re-initialize the load to get back those historical data every time when we add a new report time type?

P.s, all hidden files are shown in es file explorer as this backup folder was hidden originally. It has a '.' in front. So I'm pretty sure the folder it's gone, but as I've not erased my phone again, shouldn't the folder be somewhere in my SD card still and how can I find it using my Mac?

SSRS Database Configuration Manager Error - Could not connect to server: The type initializer for 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection' threw an exception

I'm Getting the "Could not connect to server: The type initializer for 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection' threw an exception" Error on an existing Instance of SSRS that had been working previously (lots of installs/patches since).
Any time I try to hit the "Test Connection" button on existing connections or create new ones from the SSRS Config Mgr., it throws that error.
I know the SQL Server connectivity works (I have SSMS installed on there and can cut and paste server Login to connect). The problem is I can't really get any more details on the error...Event Viewer isn't logging anything, I have upped the trace level
to 4 in the reportingservicesservice.config file, I have even watched it with procmon and nothing obvious pops up.
Let me know if anyone else has been down this path and what they have tried.

Based on my research, the issue may be related to user access permission. You can refer to the following method to troubleshooting the issue:
Open C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\CONFIG folder | right click on the machine.config file | Properties | Security | make sure your domain account has FULL CONTROL permission on this file.
If above steps still do not work, please backup your machine.config file to somewhere else and replace with the attached one from my Windows Server 2008 environment.
Alternatively, app.config file also may cause the same issue. There is a similar issue, you can refer to it.

Readiness Checks fail with "The type initializer for 'Microsoft.Exchange.Configuration.Tasks.ThrottlingModule`1' threw an exception."

There's another thread about this issue but the accepted answer actually has nothing at all to do with the original problem/question so that's a bit deceptive.
Anyway, when trying to install Exchange 2013 SP1 (on 2012 R2 Datacentre) the installation reaches the Configuring Prerequisites part of the Readiness Checks and then fails out with the message:
The type initializer for 'Microsoft.Exchange.Configuration.Tasks.ThrottlingModule`1' threw an exception.
I honestly can't find any way around this issue and the only mentions I've seen resulted in people reinstalling Windows which obviously isn't really a resolution to the problem.
Is there any known fix for this issue?

Ok well I've managed to get around that now by recreating a few registry keys and documented that here (apparently I'm not allowed to create links so can't put that here).
I have a new issue now though. It seemed to get almost all the way through the installation process but is now failing due to a "memory" issue although due to the wording I can't tell whether it means RAM or Disk space. Either way, neither should
apply. The drive has 80GB of space available and the machine has 8GB of RAM (only 2GB in use at the time the installer was ran and the amount didn't drop).

Selective deletion based on Calendar Year/Month in process chains

Hi all,
I have a requirement from the business wherein I have to delete the past months data before I load the same data into 6 infocubes using a process chain.
I checked the forums to understand how selective deletion is used in a process chain and I have come to know that RSDRD_DELETE_FACTS program or DELETE_FACTS Tcode can be used to generata a G* program that performs the deletion.
I am to integrate this generated program in my process chain. I have 0CALMONTH(Calendar Year/Month) as the time characteristic in all my infocubes and therefore the only time characteristic available for selective deletion.
My problem is that I am unable to create a dynamic selection for the Calendar Year/Month such that it takes the previous month.To be exact I am unable to use the "D" option in the Selection Variable column for this characteristic.

Have you tried to set break point on feature activate? If not then set break point on feature activate and try to debug your code line by line.

save as day balance will store the results in perticular time type as on day basis
period is the frequency when you running the time evaluations and storing the time results
if you running time evaluation everyday then perivious day is the previous period, so transfer from perious period

I have read some of the other posts for people that got this error, but none seem to apply to me.
My program has been working for weeks. I made some minor changes, and started getting the error (full details below).
I did a TFS "undo pending changes" and still getting the same error, even after logging off. The one odd thing is that I did change my Windows password this week. The connection string is using a SQL user id and password that has no issues.
I'm an Admin own my own box (running WIn XP SP3). I even tried "Run as Admin" on Visual Studio.
I'm doing a Debug-Start, running a Console-Test-Program that calls a WCF service, which on local machine is hosted by "ASP.NET Development Server".
We have two other developers, one has the same problem, one does not. In theory, we have all done "get latest" and are running the same code.

I think I found it... this is sure a strange error for what is really happening.
Apparently it had happened to me before, and fortuantely, I actually added the following comment:

because of transferring my project from one pc to another pc i am getting following error:

first chance exception of type 'System.TypeInitializationException' occurred in System.Data.dll
Additional information: The type initializer for 'System.Data.Common.DbConnectionOptions' threw an exception.
If there is a handler for this exception, the program may be safely continued.

This seems to be related with an environment issue, please have a check the worked machine and the non-worked one, to compare if there are some difference.

This could be due to missing references. Or it could be due to an error in the app config file. Is it possible for you to post your code about the connect part and the connection string? And here is an article describes how to process the first chance exception:

SSRS Line graphs, change the axis maximum and minimum by month, and change data series from calendar year to financial year

I am using SSRS and I cannot access SQL server to answer my problem, so the solution needs to be done via SSRS only.
I am currently trying to graph some data. The problem is, the months on the X axis are aligned by calendar year. I need the first month to commence with July, with the last month on the axis to be June. This also means that the year series need to be changed
from calendar year to Australian financial year.

Per my understanding that you want to show the month in the x axis as the order of the financial year(7,8,9,10...4,5,6) and also display the year in the series group as the financial year, right?
I have tested on my local environment and we can modify the query in the sql to get the financial year value based on the fields of Calendar year, details information below for your reference:
1. Modify the query as below:

Calendar_Date,CASE WHEN MONTH(Calendar_Date)>=7 THEN

Question
What goddamn dates should I enter in the planning area initialization start and end to initialize for maximum duration given the settings above?
I tried a few dozens but none is accepted. For a start I tried the same dates as in Horizon of storage bucket profile. But given the kind of error text I have I cannot decipher with tiny little mind what dates I am expected to enter in for time series creation.

Here is what worked.
Storage Bucket Horizon
Start: 24.02.2013
End: 22.11.2014
Time Series Initialization
Start: 01.02.2013
End Date: 31.12.2014
The fiscal year variant is what I pasted above.
I thought time series can only be initialized for a subset of period in the storage bucket profile !. This is my first experience of this kind where Initialization period is larger than the storage horizon. Is this the case ? I went by the book always and this is just a chance discovery by me.
I was aware of the limitation by SAP notes on need to have one more year on either sides in fiscal year variant for it to be used for initialization and hence the range of dates I tried.
Appreciate your comments on this.
All dates in dd/mm/yyyy.
