Time Warner monthly fee V's apple tv

I presently pay $123 a month to time Warner for cable box HD ability and internet
Will the appletv help me eliminate the cable tv part of my fee
I guess at this point no local news however, right
What exactly will I be enjoying IMMEDIATELY?

I dropped cable two years ago. I get by with over the air HD reception only, with about 18 usable (non-religious and english language) channels (Atlanta area). That includes all four majors, three PBS, and a bunch of old movie channels. Yes, I miss some of the cable offerings, but not enough to justify exorbitant cable bills and lousy service.
I jumped at the new Apple TV. It is a no-brainer for me. Netflix streamed to my tv, plus cherry picking stuff from iTunes. I am also excited about the potential for Airplay. Whether or not Apple Tv will enable you to comfortably drop cable service depends almost entirely on how addicted you and your family are to certain cable offerings that you will have to forgo with the new setup.

I haven't used my apple tv in months and today when I tried using it the remote would not work. I then tried to program my time warner remote to the apple tv and after I did this whenever I pressed a button on the remote a light flashes three times on the apple tv. I've read this is because the old remote is still paired to the apple device. I tried unpairing by holding menu and left on my time warner remote and menu and rewind also but neither combination seems to work as I am still seeing three blinking lights whenever I press a button. If you updated your existing account then try logging out of it on the iPhone by tapping on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on the iPhone. If you created a new account then any content that you purchased/downloaded via the old account will remain tied to that old account, and only that old account can download updates to its apps.

No monthly fee to use the Apple TV......some of the apps on it cost on a monthly basis ie..Hulu and Netflix......but you do not have to sign up for them if you do not wish.....

Power cycle the cable modem.. you may try leaving it off 5min.. might be enough.. sometimes you need 15min or even longer.. Followed by power cycle of the AE.
Nothing else should be connected to the modem.. except the router that will get the public IP as they only hand out ONE>

I went to a VZW store and a nice man spent hours, i mean hours removing and re installing my emails account, We sent emails and received all ok, unill I walked out side, then NO send again, back in I went. I learned that in Rochester NY Com canst now owns TWC and servers are being shifted about. they re programmed my phone, and same thing again.. receive but not send out.. a real puzzle. MY PC account on same email works fine, just the iPhone will not send. everyone blames every one else. Any one out ther experience this issue.

This phone ONLY works on wifi. Cellular? Unusable. AT&T says it's the hardware. Apple says it's the network. All I know is I have to rely on this for work, and more than once my boss has gotten angry with me for not reponding to an email or text because I simply wasn't able to receive any signal.
I never had problems like this with my old 3G. My wife does not have this problem with her 3GS.
According to that, it's likely an Apple problem, i.e. a problem with the 4S. That being said, have you tried a few troubleshooting steps...
Try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
Reset Network Setings
Remove, clean and reseat SIM card
New SIM card
Restore from your backup.
Restore as new, i.e. without your backup
If these don't work, it is a hardware issue... take it in to Apple and escalate it until you get it resolved.

Is the Wi-Fi button greyed out? Try this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1559
Also, make a backup to iTunes of the device. Then restore it as a new device. If you still have wi-fi greyed out, then contact Apple again, and explain that you believe you have a hardware issue. They may still ask for a $19 deposit, but if it is actually hardware related, then you won't be charged the $19. Only if it is software related do you get charged that $19.

With the Ipad 3G do you have a monthly fee all the time or can you just buy the internet by the mopnth when you need it because I don't need 3g at home since I have WIFI but when I go camping is when I would need to purchase wifi.

With the Ipad wifi 3g can you just purchase internet time as need by the month because I'm trying to avoid having another monthly fee, I only need 3g when we go camping which is like two weeks out of the year.

With ATT, you can pay month by month. They have a $15 (256 mb) and a $25 (2gb) per month fee. You can activate and deactivate this service directly from you iPad. Have fun!

Apple E-mail users aren't receiving E-mail from Time-Warner (Road Runner) customers

I can't find any appropriate place to report this on Apple's site. After a couple of friends suddenly didn't receive my E-mails, I noticed that they're both using me.com or mac.com addresses. Everyone else gets my messages fine.
Turns out that Time-Warner cable customers (at least in southern California) can't send E-mail to me.com or mac.com addresses right now. And any attempt to report the problem there is met with extreme ignorance of how E-mail works. I escalated the problem as far as they could (ooh, "level 3" technician) and didn't talk to a single person who understood E-mail servers at even a basic level.

A likely cause of this message is that you sent a message to someone and you had "Receipt Requested" turned on, hoping to get an acknowledgement that your recipient received the message in question. Receipts such as this are also called "Delivery Status Notifications", and some mail systems are configured to not send receipts, due to local policy implemented there. What this message is telling you is that you sent a message with receipt requested to a site that does not provide such receipts.
No solution at this point.

Apple bars email from Time Warner servers

Recently I discovered that email sent from my iMac’s RoadRunner address ([email protected]) to the me.com and icloud.com addresses on my iOS devices is not being received, so I asked Time Warner about it. Today I received this reply:
“We are aware that Apple is blocking one of our outbound mail
server IP addresses, and we are engaging Apple regarding the
matter. We trust that they will unblock the server just as soon
as they see fit to do so.”
I would like to know why Apple is blocking email sent to me via RoadRunner, and I want Apple to stop doing it.
