Time Warner's email server wants to download 9 months of 11,000 messages to TBird now after fixing their big email problem of 2 weeks ago; how do I avoid it?
TW's Road Runner email system crashed 2 weeks ago. All of my stored email messages were moved somewhere else for the duration of the problem. Now that they are back up and have moved all my old messages back onto the server, TBird sees them all as new emails and wants to download all 11,000 going back to November, 013. I don't want all this email duplicated on my computer (its already here) and I don't want to have to manually delete it all if I do let it download. Is there some way I can specify downloading only mail after a certain (yesterday's) date?

IMap accounts have that but pop account do not. I am guessing that yours is PO as I do not thing TWC has any IMAP accounts.

I downloaded the free trial for Adobe XI Pro but now I cant find it on my computer or figure out how to use it. The only thing I see that downloaded is Adobe Download Assistant. How can I access the program?
Assistanttolindsey the Adobe Download Assistant will download the installation files for Adobe Acrobat Professional XI. By default they are saved to your download folder. You can begin the installation process from there.

New iMAC - Time Warner POP Email Send (SMTP) Not Working

Have used cinci.rr.com account for years across many different types of PCs. New to mac world. My new @mac.com account works fine for sending and receiving.
When I added in my cinci.rr.com pop account, I receive fine, but no joy on the SMTP sends. I'm using password auth with a good username and password. Port 25, no SSL just like the help screens from Apple and Time Warner say. (Matches my PC settings also)
Visual symptom is SMTP account offline even when i manually enable online. Removing the 'password' but keeping the username prompts me for a password on connection, but when password is given, Mail reports that ISP doesn't support authentication.
What's the magic setting?

Any issues with one being set to "no authentication" and one using a password? Does everything just send off of one server? Or should I change her port setting to something else and then change it to "no authentication"? -
I served my 90 days for purchasing a past perchase on anther account but now after the 90 days I tried to download one of my own past purchases but it wont let me. What should I do?
No you should be able to sign in with your other (old) Apple ID and could download your purchased media. If you do that please note, that would have to wait for another 90 days, if you then would like to change it back to the other (newer) account again.

A few weeks ago I had the same issue where items (tv shows) I purchased on itunes would not show using my apple tv on my main television. It gives me an error stating I need to "authorize" the device/account etc. There is no problem with the authorization it is correct; tv show plays on the computer. The last time this happened the local apple store suggested I bring in my entire imac, hard drive, apple tv, etc. This seemed crazy since I had been able to eliminate that there was a problem with my password, imac, etc. I had also already tried all of the restore, reset, options to include restoring the apple tv, changing password and authorizing everything again. Then I found out via an online discussion there were others having the same problem and it was due to some sort of server issue apple was having. Is anyone else having this problem besides me again?

Apple TV 2. I can watch stuff I downloaded a while ago, but after I downloaded a season of a TV show on Friday night (Oct 28), I got the "Authorization Required" message. Ruined my Friday night trying to troubleshoot this, and found a bunch of posts on this forum about Apple's Servers being down can cause this. Since I'd done nothing different to my setup, I assumed that indeed "Apple's servers being down" was causing my grief.
It's now Oct 31st, and I'm still getting the error on the newly-downloaded stuff. So either Apple's servers are having serious grief (and passing it on to me!) or else there might be something else after all.
I've de-authorized and re-authorized my computer (I never thought for a second it would help because I can play "older stuff". Everything in my TV shows folder is bought from iTunes - i.e., it's all completely legit. We haven't even vacuumed behind the TV(!!) so we haven't disturbed anything... And the key info is that I can play stuff purchased prior to Oct 28th, but the stuff I purchased on Oct 28th hets the "Authorization required" message.
Does anyone have any ideas? -
Time warner cable talked me into conecting to worzilla because I could not conect to my games at Pogo.com. Now I can only get into some games and not all and they put my pogo accounct on facebook and I don't want it there what do I do. I'm ready to delet everything and reinstall.
You are waiting for an apology to something that happened over a year ago? Really? This is why there is a manager in the store. You have a problem with an employee you speak to the manager. Just like you did on the phone. You would have gotten your apology in July 2013.

It is because when you have a problem you (customers) go running to the store and want to take up the time of the reps to fix it. Other carriers have third parties that deal with technical support and those locations are few and far between. VZW provides this directly through their stores. Also, when you subsidize a $650 and pay $200 VZW has to pay $400. Your monthly service fee doesn't begin to scratch the surface of paying that back. Not with all the money that is put into the network and its improvements.
Then over a year later you get someone on the phone who apologized and offered to waive the fee on your phone and you didn't take it? That offer won't come down the pike again.
One thing you should know is that all these employees are people and as such they sometimes come off cross. I doubt that you speak to everyone so sweetly all the time. Cut them a little slack and put this whole thing behind you after 15 months. Either upgrade with VZW or move on. -

Start iTunes 11.1 or later on your computer and connect your iPhone to the computer. You'll have to restore your phone.

You should be storing your music on a computer that you sync your iPad mini to. You can then sync your iPod to the same computer to copy over the music to the iPod.

I just downloaded firefox about a week ago and the first day i used it i went on to tumblr, and i logged in just fine. But now a week later i'm trying to log into my tumblr and it says it's loading but then it goes straight back to the log in page. I contacted tumblr support and they said to check if i have cookies, and i do. i'm very dissappointed that firefox won't work with tumblr.
solution doesn't work for me. i think those firefox developers are either ignorant, incompetent or simply uninterested in solving this problem which has been around at least since 2010 - we're now in 2012.
i've been loyal to firefox for 10+ years but now i gonna switch to chrome, which i have been using in parallel for a while now and which has not given me any headaches. firefox usage worldwide has been in decline since 2011 and i think this trend reflects the disconnect between the developers and their user base since the chrome-like decision was taken to go down the fast upgrade lane. google can pull that off successfully, firefox can't - sadly. -
Uverse blocks my Time Warner business email connection
Some months ago it became impossible for me to access my business email from my home computers. We have had Uverse for some time and had absolutely no problems for two years before I lost the ability to connect to pop.biz.rr.com. I have talked to tech support on at least two occassions and they agreed there was a problem and said they had escalated the problem, but I never heard back. One of my neighbors has the same problem.
