Time Zone Difference in _api/Web/regionalsettings

Hi All,
I have subscribed to a share point O365 Developer site.
When I checked the www.myste.com/_api/Web/regionalsettings for my Farm and site collections it is showing GMT-1 (Time zone).
<updated>2015-04-14T11:56:21Z</updated> (Current tIME isd 5.31 pm)(gmt+5.30 )
Kindly let me know why it is showing the Time zone difference.
Regards
Koti

Thanks for your reply.
I have share point hosted in one of my system and also I have one O365 subscribed Site.
and also In one virtual meachine.
In all sharepoint sites even if I change regional settings also.
www.myste.com/_api/Web/regionalsettings
WWW.virtualsystem.com/sites/sitename/_api/Web/regionalsettings
WWW.o365site/sites/sitenmae/_api/Web/regionalsettings
www.mycomapnysite.com/sites/sitename/_api/Web/regionalsettings
All these showing same time zone UTC, If I am not wrong please try same from your end.
Each of share point site have different time zone and hosted in different places(one by Microsoft O365,One in my system, One more in my virtual
system,one by my company).
If I open this link it is showing GMT Time Zone irrespective of My sharepoint site Reginal settings.
I have observed also in _api/web/RegionalSettings/timeZone
What indicates the Bias,day light Bias , and standara bias is there any thing Ihave modify while getting time using this web api.
Any one let me know what the zime zone APi returs, If it is UTC is there any article shows that.
is any specific reason behind this.

  • How to account for shifts and time zone differences in an EPC simulation?

    BPA EPC Simulation results add up processing times and wait times, without regard to shifts or time zone differences between tasks. Does anyone have a technique to deal with shift work or time zone differences? For instance if a task takes 6 hours to complete, the worker can do it in one shift if the task is received within the first two hours. However, if the task arrived near the end of the work day, the worker may work on it for the balance of the shift and then continue the work the next day. The value of a Static Wait Times then depends on when the task is received by the worker. Any ideas on how to realistically model this?
    Similarly, if workers pass tasks between them in difference time zones, static wait times may or may not accurately reflect the impact on thru put time. Any ideas on modeling this?

    Thanks Michael -- you've helped me with the project before (back in May of this year).
    I started this project  as a newby back in 2010 and was a bit overwhelmed (i.e. just happy to get everything into FCP and be able to edit.)
    I'll try the media manage solution, but if that doesn't work I think I'll live with the one-frame drift.  I'm assuming
    the only other alternative would be to go back to all the original video and audio files; transcode using Compressor, and then re-synch with Plural Eyes and go back in to match up the edits?
    Thanks to your continuing help, I should know how to set things up correctly from the get go for the next one!

  • Calendar sync between devices completely messed up due to time zone differences

    Hi,
    I have iPhone 4 (running iOS 7), iPod touch (iOS 6), iPad Air (iOS 8.1) and a Macbook Air (OS X Yosemite). I live in Moscow, Russia.
    Two days ago Russia switched to a winter time, which means that the clock moved back one hour. These changes were automatically reflected on my iPad and Mac, since these are running the latest OS versions, but not on iPhone and iPod that can't be updated to iOS 8 since they are too old. So I had to switch their time manually.
    Weird things started happening immediately after this with my reminders and especially calendar. Reminders are a mess: if I set a reminder to 11:00 on my iPhone, for instance, it might show up at 10:00 on my iPad. This happens all the time even though I now have the same time on all my devices.
    But especially painful now is my calendar. I just notices that all my all-day events (such as birthdays) now moved to one day earlier, but ONLY on my iPad! So the Mac, iPhone, iPod and even icloud.com shows that a friend's birthday is on November 6th, but iPad states that it is on November 5th! And this happened across all my all-day events going forward - but not with those that already happened in the past.
    I have no idea how ti fix this. Please help!

    HEllo,
    same for me, however this is not due to the old IOs, in my case the time changed correctly on my ipad and iphone (both with the latest IOs8.1), so I was happy to see the right time on Sunday morning (remember 2011 it was a big mess), however my happiness was short : my calendar entries are wrong with most events starting an hour earlier.
    my observation shows the mistake comes from apple because the calendar considers Moscow is in GMT +4 whereas it should be +3 today....
    my time settings look ok, time zone is Moscow and time is set to be automatically adjusted...
    PLease Apple help your customers using your devices in Russia !!!

  • TIME ZONE difference

    Hi Experts,
    I am using a statement like
    CONVERT DATE D TIME T INTO TIMESTAMP TS TIMEZONE LZONE
    LZONE = SY-ZONLO
    This statment is storing the time 1 hour back as compared to actual system timing.
    Please suggest how to correct this...
    I do not want to remove sy-zonlo.
    Thanks.

    Dear SINGHKUMUD,
    The issue lies on the fact that you are not telling the system which country the time should be converted to. Please, notice that GMT time is not exactly as saying UK time.
    In summer time GMT is 1 hour difference from UK time. I reckon you are using GMT time, but you have also to tell the system to transforme the time to UK time.
    I found 2 links online that might help you:

    SharePoint 2010 (SP2010 SP1+ AU CU 2011) site built with Project Web Access template shows message in yellow "Your Local Machine Time Zone does not match your current Sharepoint Regional Settings."

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that SharePoint 2010 (SP2010 SP1+ AU CU 2011) site built with Project Web Access template shows warning "Your Local Machine Time Zone does not match your current Sharepoint Regional Settings".
    Users are getting this message even after correctly specifying and changing the timezone in their Sharepoint Settings. This is a common problem across the net, but we've found a workaround
    that will eliminate this problem.
    Step 1: Open your Web Database in your Browser
    Step 2: Click the Arrow Under the Login ID (upper right corner)
    Step 3: Choose My Settings
    Step 4: Click the My Regional Settings Link
    Step 5: Uncheck the 'Always Follow Web Settings' check and specify your time zone.
    Step 6: Click OK

  • UTC Time Zone Impact to Sales & Distribution

    We've decided to set out time zone for UTC within the system, while the individual users will set their time zones accordingly.  However, we feel this may lead to some issues with the 6-7 hr time zone difference as most of the users are in Eastern Time or Central Time.  Orders which are created after 7pm Eastern time are recorded as created the following day.
    I'm sure some of you SD gurus have came across and discussed this same problem during the course of a project.. just looking for some specifics to look for when it comes to time zone issues with SD processing.  (example: batch jobs, variants, time stamps, inbound sales IDocs from different time zones, sales orders data conversion time stamps, date extracts to BI)

    Keep the user time zones in the user profile (t.code SU01). By this way, user transactions will reflect the user time zone -time stamps. For example check this thread Is PGI date beased on system date or user profile time zone date?
    Most of the time the basis team can help you to over come the issues. You can also do some testing related to background job running, IDOC receipt/send etc in the test system for clear understanding.
    Related OSS Note 481835 - Analyzing the time zone settings for basis team can also be a reference.

  • Time Zone issue with 7.0 and DB2

    Hi,
    We are having a time zone issue with weblogic server 7.0 and DB2 database. I would really appreciate if somebody provides a solution for this issue.
    Our db2 DB is located in PST time zone and weblogic server is located in EST time zone.
    When we access current timestamp from db2, we are getting PST time converted to EST and EST time zone attached with timestamp value.
    I tried to use resultset.getTimeStamp (1,<calendar>), unfortunately this method is not supported in the DB2 driver version I am using.
    We want to get same value as returned by db2 with db2 time zone not weblogic server time zone.
    And also when we add new record with timestamp column through web service, regardless the time zone value sent by web service client ".Net" ,
    Weblogic server converts the java.util.Date value to weblogic time zone and stores in the db.
    For example, client sent 17:00 hours CST, but when it gets stored in db through weblogic ws, weblogic converts 17:00 to 18:00 EST and stores in database as 18:00 hours without any time zone. When we read this value back, we are getting it 18:00 EST only not 17:00 CST.
    This is fine as long as writing and reading by same weblogic server. If another weblogic server instance in PST time zone read this value, it takes as 18:00 PST.
    Due to this our application always shows timestamp hours differently.
    Could some body help me to fix this problem, we are getting this problem in production after we moved our DB2 location to different time zone.
    Thanks
    Balaji

  • Ical events not displaying correct time zone

    Hi All,
    I have a weird issue and I'm not sure if it's an iCal or an entourage problem. When one of our Entourage2008 (exchange) users sends a meeting invite to a user in a different time zone using ical, the meeting shows in ical as the time the entourage user who created it, aka not adjusting for the time zone. Entourage to outlook calendar or another entourage calendar works fine, and iCal to iCal works fine; just not Entourage to iCal. Also, a calendar event from the iCal user to the Entourage user does adjust correctly for the time zone difference, which is why i'm exactly sure where the problem lies. I did post in the mactopia forums too so please don't yell at me for posting an 'entourage' problem in a mac forum. any help anyone could provide would be appreciated.
    Thank you.
    i'm on 10.5.7 with the latest updates for mac os x and the latest office for mac updates, and we are running off a hosted exchange server. we've experienced the same issue whether we have iCalis ("turn on time support") option enabled in iCal or not enabled.

    It's annoying as it should not be this complicated. I've implemented a work around, but it's not ideal. I have entourage running but not open, and have sync services set to sync with ical. A new invite comes into mac mail, the user clicks on the ics file (which opens entourage calendar), accepts the meeting, and closes the entourage window. The correct time is in entourage calendar, and then syncs with ical and the meeting has the correct time for that time zone.
    If anyone has found a real fix for this problem, please let me know.
    Thanks for letting me know I'm not the only one Jim.

  • Changing BO Server Time Zone

    Hello,
    When we refresh report and displa last refresh date in it, the date/time displayed is GMT. We want to display US EST. We want to do this as server level as opposed to having each user change it from their preferences.
    Our BO server OS is Linux and our Linux team has changed the BO server box time zone to US EST, But we still see GMT. We are on BO XI R3 SP2 FP2.5 and web server is Netweaver. BO and web server are installed on the same box.
    What are we missing?
    Thanks,
    Nikhil

    What is the time zone set on the Web and App servers?
    If you go InfoView and CMC preferences, you should see the Time Zone field. What is the value in that?
    In the Web and App server if it is set to EST, make sure you have time zone set to Default - Local to web server in CMC and Infoview preferences.

  • Rest Api Time (Time return by _api/web/lists/byname("name")/items(id=1)

    HI All,
    I have a query regarding Rest API.
    I am getting time of item created and modified using _api/web/lists/byname("name")/items(id=1).
    It is returning always UTC time zone.
    Is there any relavent article saying that this is default for all sharepoint (Because I have observed the same in all of my virtual meachines sharepoint servers).
    Is there any java script to convert to Site regional settings(In day light savings also).
    Mainly I need any article related to waht API return time will be ?
    Thanks
    Koti

    Hi Koti,
    SharePoint stores all date field in UTC. That is, if you are saving a date time field in a list, SharePoint actually converts the time that you selected into UTC, and converts it back to whatever time zone the person is in when retrieving.
    When using any API SharePoint will always return the UTC time and leave it up to you to make the conversion in your interface or application.
    You could read the time from database and convert the time to your local time.
    You could refer to the JavaScript code example below to convert the time zone.
    self.toUtc = function (inputDate) {
      var localTime = inputDate.getTime();
     var localOffset=inputDate.getTimezoneOffset() * 60000;
     var utc = localTime + localOffset;
      var retval = new Date(utc);
     debugger;
     return retval;

  • How do I sync my icloud calendar between iPhone 5 and macbook pro without a 1 hour difference? I've made sure that the time zones are the same on all devices and it's still doing it.

    I cannot get my iphone 5 and macbook pro to display the same time on my calendar. There is a one hour  difference between them and it is driving me crazy!! Please help!!!

    Did you also confirm that the time zone was set correctly on icloud.com (click on your name, check Time Zone)?

  • Automatic time zone conversion in web dynpro

    We have a WDA running on top of a SAP system that is running on US time. The data from the WDA must be stored in SAP using US time. The WDA will however run in England and needs to display English time to the users. Is there any mechanism or concept in web dynpro that provides automatic time conversion when reading from and displaying time and when writing data back to the database? Some kind of  screen exit or other?
    I am not asking how to convert the value of a single field from one time zone to another, I am hoping for some general solution to the problem of time zones in web dynpro.
    Thanks!

    I don't really have anything useful to say, but couldn't help to add my two cents here...
    Whenever you work in a system that supports users or other parties spread among different time zones you start wishing for some better time zone support. It's not just the user's time zone that is relevant, just imagine for example a service call to a call center in India, where probably the customer's time zone is even more important than the user time zone.
    I know that in principle we have some design issue here, because standalone dates (without any time details) are impossible to convert among different time zones. It would be nice though if the system would provide a framework where any date/time fields can be registered and linked to some time zone field. Changing the time zone field, would automatically update all registered date/time fields.
    Ideally the field for choosing time zones would have the ability to show a list of preferred time zones with (changeable) explanations. One could for example imagine that by default it's populated with the two entries for user time zone and system time zone. Each application should be able to register additional time zones, e.g. sold-to time zone for an order, etc.
    Another (workaround) option I used in applications (for automatically filled read-only fields, like creation date/time) is to settle on one reasonable default time zone (e.g. user) and then have tool tips showing dates/times in other relevant time zones.
    Anyhow, lots of half-baked gibberish, essentially I just wanted to say that it would be nice to have some better time zone support, so I'm voting for that as well (good point Chris). And ideally this would not be limited to web dynpro. I'm sure some smart person should be able to come up with something nice...
    Cheers, harald

  • Time zone awared web application

    I have a web application. servlet retrieve database. one of column stored in database is date which is GMT date.
    I would like to display this date to end user base on their time zone(not server's timezone).
    for example, the date stored in database is 0:00 am GMT, for user in EST, I would like user see 7:00PM, user in PST, I would like to show them 4:00 PM.
    How do I do this?
    Thanks

    You typically will retrieve a SQL Date from the db. Convert this to a java.util.Date, pass this value to the client.
    Use a DateFormat to display it to the client. Of course, if you have a web-based, browser-based application, you might have to store your customer's TZ information in session state, pass it to the server, and use that information to format on the server.
