Time Zone old IOS 6.1.3 pic to Mac OX 10.6.8

Why do old iphone photos uploaded to Iphoto show my current time zone of my Macbook, but manual upload/right click/Get Info shows true time zone of photo? GPS was off. IOS 6.1.3 was on an Iphone 4S  and photo was taken in May 2013.  Mac OX 10.6.8 Iphoto 11 9.2.3. Need a way to prove time zone pic was taken.  Other software programs, online and otherwise do not show time zone.  Why does Get Info. show time zone while other software/online services do not?  Is there software/online service out there to show true time zone photo was taken? Thanks!

I just emailed the one note to myself and solved the issue.

  • Calendar time zone on iOS 7

the time zone has disappearead on the calendar after updating to ios 7, how can it be defined? I travel a lot and this feature was very helpful in avoiding errors.

You have to enable Time Zone Support under Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Time Zone Support (in the Calendars section at the bottom).  If you enable the setting while you are in the middle of creating an event, you have to cancel and re-create it.
Now, when you create a new Calendar entry, it will have a Time Zone field under the End time setting.

  • Multiple time zones on iOS lock screen?

I'm desperate to be able to display multiple time zones on my lock screen in iOS (7.03) is there anyway to do this currently?
As with most ppl my iphone is also my watch, and as I travel frequently i like to keep my eye on time zone back home to know when is a good time to call/FaceTime etc...
Seems like an obvious feature no one has thought about?

    Sorry, no.
If you'd like to see this as a feature, tell Apple:

  • Why is the location services arrow constantly on for setting time zone on iOS 5.1?

I have updated to iOS 5.1 OTA (Over The Air, not by connecting to iTunes and updating) on my iPhone 4S and the purple location services arrow is constantly on in the status bar when setting time zone and automatic update of date and time are turned on simultaneously. I had this problem prior to the update, but I understand that not everyone has this issue as my friend has these two settings on and doesn't have the problem. I have tried restoring and all that (obviously), but not restoring and setting up as new.
Somebody please help because it's an obvious fault in the system if nothing else. I have heard somebody else complain about this and the had a 32 GB 4S the same as me. I don't really see why memory should matter but my friend who doesn't have the problem has a 16GB 4S.
Also, I am not in an area that is between time zones when this is happening.

If it is turned on I can't be sure if anything else is using my location (at a glance) since the arrow is constantly showing. I am aware that this function will use battery power, maybe constantly, but the arrow shouldn't be constantly showing. If it should, then why doesn't my friends iPhone show it? Either way there is a problem here.

  • Problem with Time Zone: Winnipeg - Canada

the Winnipeg - Canada time zone has not changed to CST, it remains CDT.
the US cities in the same time zone have changed to CST, if I change it to Montreal or Toronto in the eastern time zone, they are EST.
checking other sources, including Mac OS 9, timeanddate.com, they all indicate that things should have changed to CST.
I can force it to happen manually, but unless I'm missing something, there appears to be a bug.

I suggest you use the Mac OS X feedback feature to file a bug report. To do this, go to http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/ and click on the "feedback" tab.

  • Ical time zone issue - will not change to Floating or let me adjust

I have Calendar 6.0 on OS X 10.8.5 and cannot get the calendar time to adjust from Mountain time. I'm in Arizona where we do NOT change time - one half the year we're the same as California, the other half we're like Colorado. But Calendar has decided I'm Mountain time and no attempt to adjust that has any effect. I have clients in Washington State and Oregon, and clients in Arizona. But I can't have calendar invites or meetings set in anything but Mountain time. It's making me nuts. I can't select Floating either, per one suggestion. Please help!
I went to iCloud: Change your calendar’s time zone and tried all they suggested, but nothing works as it says it should. I cannot "set any time zone you want" with time zone support On. The "pop-up option" they mention when Time zone Support is On still does not allow me to select another time zone. Oh - and my iphone 5s shows the time zone as Phoenix, just fyi, with Set Automatically turned on.

Did you turn on time zone support in the Calendar app on your Mac too?  Try going to Calendar>Preferences and on the Advanced tab check Turn on Time Zone Support.

  • Time zone compatability problem with timed event created on iOS and pushed to Windows7 Outlook calendar for sharing

Hi, I am in Jerusalem time zone. My Windows7 LAPTOP time zone is set to it (UTC+02:00 Jerusalem). My iPhone5 and iPad are both "Set Automatically" (ON)  to Jerusalem. When I create any new event in my outlook on my Laptop it's generated with the Jerusalem time zone and pushed properly via iCloud to my iPhone and iPad. However when I create a new timed event on either my iPhone or iPad. or even in iCloud calendar (in a browser) the event is pushed to outlook on my Laptop in a "Beirut" time zone. Now that both Jerusalem and Beirut are on the same time zone (UTC + 02:00) it doesn't create any problem (though I prefer to see that the pushed events are indeed in Jerusalem time zone and not Beirut...). However, at and around day time saving change days there are problems of events created on iOS devices or even in iCloud (using browser) and pushed to outlook at the wrong times (1 hour earlier or later, depends on the change direction in Jerusalem time...) with a Beirut time stamp.
How can I resolve this problem and make sure all timed events, created on iOS devices at a Jerusalem time zone, appear as such after pushed via iCloud to my windows7 Outlook calendatr?  Thanks!

I also have this issue (iPhone 5).  Outlook needs to be configured properly in that timezone option needs to be selected.  Which is challenging enough.
However the bigger issue for me is that when I open the ICN file:
    1.  I have no way to accept decline etc.
    2.  When the event is populating the calendar in the wrong time I can neither cut and paste nor select and move.  It is totally static.
So for every meeting request I have to ensure it populates the right time as per my time zone. and if it doesnt i have to manually enter a second meeting 'X' hours earlier/later depending on which time zone the meeting was generated in.
I spoke to Apple.  Their solution is make sure Outlook is properly configured.  Fine...but good luck.  I need a work around that is Apple based.  Because this *****.
They said they would send to the development team.  I am not holding my breath.

  • Setting Time Zone location marker still lights up in iOS 5.0.1 . Does this happen to you?

I have updated my iphone 4 to ios 5.0.1 ota and when the phone boots up the time zone location icon lights up i know this because i checked it in location services system . So does this happen to you ?

  • HT4623 iOS 8 version 8.1.2 issues with the calendar displaying wrong TIME ZONE!

I just updated to iOS 8 using version 8.1.2 and am having issues with the calendar.  I use my GMAIL calendar and sync to my iPhone and now any calendar entries that I add from my phone display the current time zone AND GMT time.  Entries that were already there display correctly.  New entries entered from the GMAIL calendar also display correctly.  The issue is with NEW entries entered on my PHONE into the calendar.  This is very annoying and causes problems for new entries that need EDITED.  Once opened to edit it defaults to GMT time!  WRONG!!  I have turned off the automatic time zone feature and Time Zone Override in Settings but it's still WRONG!  There are multiple reports of this online so I would like to know when/if it will be corrected or if there is a fix!  Please help!!

Quite the same problem here, GMT, UTC.......
Why when they do an update they don't check it completely???

  • How can I change the time zone for a calendar entry with iOS 7?

I want to make a new entry in my calendar (iOS 7) using a different time zone as the one I'm located in. There isn't any option to choose the time zone like there is in OS X.
I know I can switch off the option to automatically change the time zone in the preference pane of Mail, Contacts and Calendar to get the option in calendar but I want to use this automatic switch.
Is there any option to change the time zone of a calendar entry without loosing this automatic switch?

    Got it!
In your backing file you'll need the following in your handlePostbackData method:
    BookBackingContext bookCtx = BookBackingContext.getBookBackingContext(arg0);
    bookCtx.setupPageChangeEvent("PageLabel");

  • Time Zone not observed in iOS 7 subscribed calendar but is in Mavericks

I have a calendar which I subscribe to from both my MacBook Pro and my iPhone. The specific calendar is an NFL calendar at webcal://www.southendzone.com/ical/nfl.ics
When I view the calendar on my MacBook Pro it shows me all the kick off times in my time zone, GMT and it has always done this without any effort on my part.
No matter what I've tried with time zone support under iOS 7 I can't get my iPhone to show me the calendar in anything but the local time so a game scheduled to start at 01:25 GMT shows up on my iPhone as starting at 19:25. Playing with different time zones I can get all my own calendars to shift but entries for this calendar seem to be etched in stone.
Is there something I'm doing wrong?

I am experiencing similar type of issue.  I subscribed to a Calendar which has scheduled meeting from my time zone and different time zone.  When I subscribe in OS X, it shows flawlessly on local time. But when I do it in IOS 7,  it shows MST as-is in EST time zone and no matter we play around all the time zone setting in General tab or Mail/Calendar tab.  It's not helping.
Appears to be a bug in IOS 7.  It needs to be reported to Apple.

  • IOS Calendar & Time Zone Choices

I use Time Zone Support on all my devices... Mac, iPhone and iPad. On the iOS devices, to change the calendar to a new time zone, I have to go to System Preferences/Mail, Contacts,Calendars/Time Zone Support and use the search field, going through the whole search proccess with a whole batch of International cities each time. Isn't there a way of having the obviously most used ones -- New York, Chicago, Denver, LA -- just stay there in the menu choice? Or better still, simply Eastern, Central, Mountain and Pacific. How 'bout "Add to Favorites..." Or something. This is in need of some real Apple usability. Or am I missing something?

  • IMac recognizes old time zone, when auto time zone is on

Just moved from Japan to Texas.  iMac thinks it's still in Japan, Zama-shi to be exact.  That was my old town.  I'm using a local ISP cable internet.  I'm pretty sure it's not a coincidence that my new ISP would have it's server in Japan.  Does anyone know how to fix this.

Have you tried choosing a texan Time Zone?
Sys Prefs>International>Formats>Region, what is set there?
    Open Terminal and type in...
    date
Hit enter, what does it report?
    Thu Feb 21 16:13:20 PST 2013
    Then try...
    date -u
    Fri Feb 22 00:13:49 GMT 2013

  • TS3920 iPad 1 w/ iOS 5 on Barcelona time zone location when Automatically Set Date/Time is turned on.  How do I get all of my devices back to PST time?

After returning from an extended trip in Spain, my iPad 1 with iOS 5 retains the Barcelona location when "Automatically Set Date/Time".  Most of my Apple devices are affected, how do I get all of my devices back to PST time?  Thanks!

Turn off Automatically Set Date/Time and set your time zone.

  • IPhone 5 Time Zone Support Broken with iOS 8.1.2 Update

Just returned from a U.S. business trip where my work appointments (sync’d to enterprise Exchange account) were not showing up in the correct time zone. Everything was three hours off. Events entered on my iPhone were also showing up three hours off on my Outlook client.
But the biggest problem came when I returned home and the iPhone wouldn’t automatically change the time zone back. The “automatic” setting is not working, device time is still three hours slow (still set for Pacific time). The “time zone” is displaying as “New York.” Disabling automatic time zone set results in the correct date and time directly under the “time zone” set band, tapping on the band goes to the search screen that already shows “New York, U.S.A.” (general-date & time-time zone). Re-entering the correct zone (“New York”) does nothing different.
Just for fun, I tried it again with a manual set for “Phoenix, U.S.A.” The time display directly below shows the correct current Phoenix time (12:03 p.m.), but the device is still stuck on PST (11:03 p.m.).
Going back in and changing the time zone to “automatic” results in “New York” being displayed, but no change in device time. But disabling the “automatic” mode shows “Phoenix” again with Phoenix time directly below.
While all this stupidity is going on, a quick look at the “clock” icon show the correct New York time (with the sweep second hand), but the device time (displayed at the top of the home screen) and the alarm still displays three hours slow.
Anyone else unable to change their iPhone device time to the correct time zone?

Try doing  a reset on your phone. Sounds like your carrier's time set is not getting through to your device. If the reset doesn't do it, then go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. That should do it.
