Time Zone won't save in Date & Time = Mac Mail Time Stamp problem

Hi, My Macbook Pro (2.53 Core 2 Duo) (OS 10.5.8) won't keep the time zone I set up in Date and Time under System Preferences.  It causes my Mac Mail outgoing timestamp to be GMT rather than PST.  I have saved it as PST (w/ lock) but It reverts back to GMT and I am unsure what else to try.  Thanks for your ideas on fixing this.

What binding do you have set on the Date/Time field? If it's set to None, change it to normal and it should work fine.

  • Time Stamp problem while writing data into the excel file

    Hii, All
                  I am taking the data from the DAQ card of the TOPSCCC with the 8 ms of scanrate for each channel and there are total 16 no of Analog channels in the Card, now i am acquiring the data from the card, time stamping it and writing it into the excel file, which is tab delimited, now the problem is, the data which are in the excel file have the same timestamp for 4 to 5 continuous records, instead we want each data with the different and continuous time stamp with same difference of time stamp between two records, mean if it is difference of 8 ms then it should be the 8 ms for all, but here it is taking the differnce of 16 ms for two samples and giving same time stamp for four to five records and that shouldn't happen, here i am attaching my vi, drivers for the cards and Excel file with the data, can you please give me any suggestion how to do it?
           Please help me i require this suggestion as early as possible, i am requiring it urgently.

  • Time stamp problem in CITADEL

    Hello Everyone,
    I have one SCADA system running with CITADEL as database environment.. last day due to SMPS fail inside CPU, my whole system went shutdown.. After restart, my time stamp was changed, may be due to weak motherboard battery ... I restarted my LabVIEW based application for data acqusition and storage ..
    This effected the data storage going through that computer .. My system time went to 04/05/1640.. And inside MAX > Historical Database > CITADEL the all tag was having start day as "04/05/1640" and last date as "unable to find" .. Then i corrected my system date/time and restarted application and tag engine.. but my time stamp is still same in CITADEL
    This is creating problem in exporting my data in DIAdem format .. I am afraid do my all last data recorded before went off ?
    1) How to check CITADEL data in some other computer without pulling data out from citadel interface? .. I mean to ask is there any way to copy data from computer and read it in other computer having MAX and CITADEL ..
    2) How to recover all recorded data, as my export is giving no data inside tag ?
    Thanks for any help
    HS

    To recover the old database, One thing we can do is rebuild the index for the old database. We do this by going into MAX and right clicking the old database and selecting detach. After it is detached, navigate to the database on your hard drive and delete the pid.cdih file. Then, go back to MAX and attach the database back into citadel. When reattached without the index file, it will rebuild the index for your database. This may take a bit, but might recover your data.
    Or You could go to another PC and try to get into the database. The problem could be on your PC and not the database PC.

    I'm thinking this might have to do with the system clock, except in FreeBSD and the BIOS the date/time is correct.

    I'm guessing your system clock is wrong in Arch.  Type "date" and see if it's the right time... and check /etc/rc.conf to make sure you have HARDWARECLOCK and TIMEZONE set right.

       I have file to upload from application server.
           file name is like 'PPRICE'TIMESTAMP'.CSV'
    from this file name i have to read the TIMESTAMP
    I can read it like
    tstamp = file+10(leng of timestamp).
    now this tsamp is in character format.
    i have to validate the current date with the time stamp i read into tstamp.
    so here is my problem
       how do i compare a character with the type timestamp.
    please some one help me.

    try this
    data : timst(8) type c value '10:10:10',
           timestamp type t.
    replace all occurrences of ':' in timst with space.

  • Synchronize file time stamp problems

    I upload files from Dreamweaver (CS3) to the server. The time
    stamp on the local files will say 3:37 p.m., but the time stamp on
    the remote server will say 7:44 p.m.
    Also, when I select synchronize, it will tell me that some of
    the files on the server are newer than locally, even though I know
    they aren't. But it does not give me this message consistently, and
    it seems untroubled by the three hour difference referenced above.
    Any ideas? A few other people at another location make
    changes to this site, so it is critical to know when something
    really has changed.
    I am new to Dreamweaver, coming over from GoLive, so maybe I
    am missing something obvious in settings somewhere? Didn't have
    this trouble in GoLive.

    Thanks for replying. I did think of server location. However,
    I am on the East Coast, so the time difference would put the server
    in the middle of the Atlantic. Also, I have been told the server is
    in Denver, although I am not sure if that is true.
    Also, I later logged on to the server through their control
    panel, completely outside of Dreamweaver, and the date and time
    stamps of the files I looked at bore absolutely no relation to
    reality. Perhaps the server is a mess somehow?
    Anyone else have these problems and can point me to any
    reading or help files? Thanks.

  • Mobile Me Won't Overwrite iCal Data from Mac --- Cloud, iPhone Data Screwy

    (yes, this is the THIRD time I've posted substantially the same message in different sections of this site. I realize that's a violation of standard protocols. But this is a problem that effects three different aspects of my Mac life, and I don't know where the solution will be found. So... )
    I'm having a heck of a time getting the calendar on my iPhone to look the way it's supposed to, and the problem seems to stem from MobileMe not over-writing the data on the cloud.
    Right now, the calendar data on my iPhone is completely screwed up. I have events that appear four times, etc. That is NOT how it looks on the Calendar on MobileMe, but that's how it looks on the iPhone. And it SURE doesn't look like that in iCal.
    In fact, iCal is right now the only iteration of my calendar data that is (mostly) correct. So I have tried now multiple time (at least six) to OVERWRITE the data on MobileMe with the data on the Mac. But each time, after I go to MobileMe to look at the Calendar, it doesn't look like anything has changed.
    Meanwhile, it looks like the data on the iPhone is just getting more and more screwed up. I keep a sunrise/sunset calendar. On my iPhone, the sunrise time now appears FIVE times today.
    I need to get the Calendar right right in iCal on my Mac; then overwrite the data at MobileMe with that info, and then overwrite the data on the iPhone. So I am having essentially two problems:
    1) MobileMe doesn't seem to overwrite the Calendar when I instruct it to overwrite;
    2) If I ever do get the data right in MobileMe, I don't know how I'll ever get that data (only) down to the iPhone. It appears that every time the iPhone syncs, it's sending data to MobileMe, which is causing duplications, which are then sent to the iPhone, causing still MORE duplications.
    Yeah, it's a mess. I should be able to get it right by over-writing the Calendar data in MobileMe, but, like I said, half-a-dozen attempts and it's still not working.
    Thanks,
    --PS

    If you find out the answer to this, let me know, I'm having similar problems, can't seem to overwrite mobile me, and then mobile me calendar never matches ical or iphone calendar, very painful

  • How to add a follow up date in mac mail in moountain lion

    I have tried Mail Tags 3 and it slowed mail down so that it was not useable
    Can one add a reminder date into Ical directly from Mail?
    One could do this with Leopard.

    Hi,
    Not sure if you have fixed this, but I'd use launchd to create the route on startup.
    If you create a text file in /Library/LaunchDaemons/local.imac.route.plist
    with:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple Computer//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN"
    "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
    <plist version="1.0">
    <dict>
      <key>Label</key>
      <string>local.imac.route</string>
      <key>OnDemand</key>
      <false/>
      <key>ProgramArguments</key>
      <array>
      <string>route</string>
      <string>add</string>
      <string>224.0.0.0/4</string>
      <string>[GATEWAY]</string>
      </array>
      <key>KeepAlive</key>
      <false/>
      <key>RunAtLoad</key>
      <true/>
      <key>ServiceIPC</key>
      <false/>
      <key>UserName</key>
      <string>root</string>
    </dict>
    </plist>
    You need to replace [GATEWAY] with the IP address of the gateway to use like 10.11.12.13
    Then as root (login as an admin user and use "sudo su -" to become root) type:
    launchctl load /Library/LaunchDaemons/local.imac.route.plist
    You should be up and running.

  • Problem getting calls and time stamp of calls

    I'm just about to toss my iphone out the window!
    I am having the same problems as others recieving calls when in sleep mode.
    I can sometimes get them, but mostly 'miss' them.
    THEN...to make matters worse, any time stamp on the calls I've 'missed' is the time I unlock my phone to view them, not when they actually come in.
    Tonight I received 3 voice mails. 2 from this morning, one from yesterday.
    I don't get it....anyone have any suggestions?

    Okay...thanks. I think the resetting took care of the time stamp problem.
    As for the non-ringing, I may have solved that too.
    I had wi-fi turned off. I did't think I needed to have it on as I was fine with AT&T. But with only At&T I was constantly seeing that little Edge symbol.
    Once I turned on the wi-fi, the E went away and so far all of my test calls went through.
    Well, only time will tell.
    Other than that, i love my phone!

  • Certain mail won't come in off the server to my Mac Mail

    Certain emails won't come in to my Mac Mail off the Time Warner Servers. (TW is intotally unhelpful and say it's my Mac Mail settings, even though some of the senders have come in before with no problem. Newer people have a hard time getting through, even though, I put them in the address book of both the TW server, and in Mac Mail.
    I also set a preference to "allow" them in both filters section  And I'll hear a "ding" when mail arrives from this person, but while I can go see it on the TW server, it doesn't come into the Mac Mail.
    It's like it's trying (the ding) but what happens to the message?
    thanks for any info you can give.
    mz

    thanks for your help... but I've deleted all my iPhone mail accounts and reentered them. The phone then proceeded to re-download all the messages from the server...except for the same ones it wouldn't before! I'm mystified. I called ATT and they didn't know what to do either. Time Warner doesn't know either.
    I've got them in my address books as well...
    Any more ideas?
    thanks

  • How do i open winmail.dat attachments in mail

    How do i open winmail.dat attachments in mail ?

    Having problems with Winmail.dat attachments?  This is really Windows problem but their hubris will not allow them to admit it.
    Windows does have a global fix for this problem but it is not a general patch - in their KB there is a fix for Exchange servers which cause the winmail.dat problem but most users don't know about it or have it implemented.
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/138053http://
    Here is a solution that Apple users can get for $30.  An Austrian program and APP called Letter Opener http://www.creativeinaustria.com/http:// is the solution to seamlessly opening Winmail.dat files.

  • Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne Freez & Time won't save in Vista

    Hi Guys,
    I have a 24" 2.4, the computer froze when I try to quit WC3, this has happened twice already. Is there a fix.
    Also, I have vista installed with bootcamp, whenever I boot into Vista, the time would be wrong. I keep changing it but it won't save.

    Argh!  I spoke too soon!  I had powered down the PC before I went to bed, last night.   Upon reboot, this morning, I was greeted with the all too familiar F1/F2 halt screen!  I needed to go back in and set my CMOS settings back to what I needed (date/time/boot order, etc).
    The only thing lowering the speed of the memory seems to have accomplished is that the PC no longer power-cycles on F10/save in CMOS.  Powering off the PC brings back the issue (I am going to have to test whether going into hibernate may be a way around it...but, I doubt it.
    So...is anyone else having these memory issues?  Should I even have BIOS 1.2 on this SLI board (it's what MSI has installed on both boards...the one I shipped to them and the re-certified one they sent me)...I keep hearing that 1.1 is the latest?
    Are there any other memory settings I could try to use to permanently get around this problem?
    Is anyone else using this same memory with no problems (I noticed that the 2GB Corsair memory is not even listed in the manual that came with this MLB)?
    Should I just buy new/different memory, and if so, what brand/type seems to be the most stable?
    Any help is appreciated.  So far, this MSI board (my 1st) has been a major disappointment and cause of frustration.

    Hi,
    I know the function "write to spreadsheet file.vi"
    can append the data
    to file. You can use the "concatenate strings" to display the date,
    time as well as data... Hope this help.

  • Save waveform data with corresponding time array to spreadsheet file

    Hello to all
    I am looking for a possibility to save voltage data acquired and displayed continousely to a spreadsheet file. Acquiring and displaying is not a big problem, but I have troubble to save the data with the corresponding timestamp with more than seconds accuracy. I am acquiring the data at 1000 Hz and read packages of 500 samples. The recording time should not be limited, it will be started and stopped manually. In fact the acquired voltage data first has to be scaled and than saved. If I use the 'WRITE WAVEFORM TO SPREADSHEET' VI the time column is in seconds' accuracy and that is not what I need. If I create my own time array from the waveform parameters I have timing problems. The accuracy in time should reflect the sample rate. I will attach one of my not very successful trials for better understanding.
    please help a newcomer!
    Thanks in advance

    I usually follow a simple method to generate time stamp
    I keep sampling rate and number of samples to read as equal and do as shown in the attached VI
    I also remember building a VI with a small modification to this time stamp generation logic to cater to acq, where number of samples to read is half/one fourth/one tenth of sampling rate specified, but cannot find that VI.
    Hope this helps
