Timed Access Switching Off??
My settings in Timed Access seem to hold for maybe a few days at a time, but then all of a sudden when I check it, the Timed Access tab reads Not Enabled.
No one else can be turning it off as I am the only one that knows the password.
Has anyone else experienced Timed Access switching itself off?...It is a useless feature if I can't rely on it to stop various devices from accessing my network at various times.
I can't find the links now that I'm specifically looking for them, but recall reading posts from several users who have posted over in the Lion forum with the same issue.
One user reported that after he reset the AirPort Extreme to factory default settings and then manually set it up again, that things worked fine.
it's a hassle to have to enter in all the Timed Access data again, but might be worth a shot. If you decide to try this, be sure to change the default rule in Timed Access (which allows all devices access).
It's best to set the default rule to "No Access" then enter in the specific MAC Addresses or AirPort IDs for devices. You've probably already done this in the past, but some users forget to change the "default" rule and then wonder why things don't work as expected.
No guarantees that this will work, of course. Up to you if you want to try.

Windows 7 hangs and switches off network access
We are running a Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit operating system as our server.
About on 30 minute intervals the computer hangs and switches off network access.
If the computer is in this state and you try and access it from another computer nothing happens.
While in this state you can see the desktop indicating that it's not in sleep mode.
The problem is rectified by click the mouse on the computer.
It has not gone into a sleep mode as everything on the power options is set to never.
Please help?

Please also check the event viewer to collect related information about this issue when you re-use the Windows 7.
Meanwhile, Please update the driver for network adapter or reinstall for a test.

Restoring phone, need to switch off Find My iphone, but can't access phone
Whilst updating IOS7 my phone crashed. I reset it and successfully managed to restore to backup. Everything was working fine until it asked for a passcode. I entered the last passcode I was using but it won't accept it. I've tried to restore again however iTunes is telling me that Find my iPhone needs to be switched off before it will do the restore, and this is done via the settings on the phone - which I can't access because I don't know the passcode.
The Find My iPhone app has nothing to do with this. Deleting the Find My iPhone app which is used to find another iOS device or Mac computer you own or for someone else to find their iPhone or iOS device with your iPhone does not turn off Find My iPhone with your iCloud account settings on your iPhone.

If you have Find My iPhone enabled, you can use Remote Wipe to erase the contents of your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased. -
atleast once in a week the slide to unlock will not work in my iphone 4 and this is happening from the day i have upgraded to ios7. to access my iphone i have to a switch off and then switch on. really frustrating never expected this from Apple.

I turned off Internet access, using airport timed access control. Now, I can't turn it back on. The base station can't be found. Please help.

Firmware Update Process
To safely update FW, I recommend doing the following: Download the FW file from the support site first.
Disable the auto update feature on the router.
1. Save router config to file first using IE or FF with all security add-ons disabled.
2. Factory reset the router with all other devices disconnected or turned OFF accept for 1 wired PC.

3. Reload or Update the FW using IE or FF. Just download the FW file to your local wired LAN PC.

4. Factory reset the router and then set up from scratch first using the local log in link and test with out loading the saved config from file. Check to see if any problems are fixed before loading the saved config from file. Sometimes you need to set up from scratch with out loading the saved config file. Just safer that way.
PC Web Browser Configurations
What browser are you using?
If IE 8, 9, 10 or 11, set compatibility mode and test again.
Disable any security browser Add-ons like No Script and Ad-Block or configure them to allow All Pages when connected to the router.
Clear all browser caches.
Be sure to log into the local log-in account on the router first. -

How do I set up timed access control for a time past midnight
I would like to set up timed access control for a number of my devices that would stretch past midnight... An open network from 6AM to 2AM - effectively only blocking access from 2AM tp 6AM in the morning....
Any notion on how to do this? the timed factily does not like the setting to enable 6A to 2A, says the times are invalid.
Setting up timed access from 6AM to 11:59P, then doing another from 12A to 2A causes a service "hiccup" of 1 Minute.Set up each device as follows:
Everyday........Between.......6:00 AM and 11:59 PM
Add a second rule for each device that will state....
Everyday.....Between.......12:00 AM and 2:00 AM
You might think that there would be a one minute break between 11:59 PM and 12:00 AM, but that will not be the case, at least on every AirPort that I have ever programmed.. Reason.....11:59 is really 11:59:59:59 turning off at 12:00 AM. But, you have a second rule to allow access at 12:00 AM, so the AirPort will be "on" at the same time the first rule ends, so there will be no break.
If you really want the second rule to turn the AirPort "off" at 2:00 AM.......then set that time for 1:59 AM. If you set the rule for 2:00 AM, then AirPort will really turn off at 2:01 AM. -

No, there are no apps that can do that, as no app would have access to the necessary API's to perform such a task.

1. The iPod Nano (4th Generation - 8GB) switches on, only when connected to USB power by showing apple logo and displays Menu options thereafter..
2. However, I can not access Menu as it is unresponsive to click wheel. As a result it is inaccessible to any further use,

Since you have already tried all the normal troubleshooting solutions, take the iPod to your nearest Apple Store for a *proper diagnosis.* The staff there will be able to confirm if your problem is software or hardware _*at no cost to you.*_
