Timed objects not appearing

Captivate 7 (Windows 8) - I have added a number of images and smart shapes to slides and changed the timing so that they appear at different places in the slide. Some have limited duration and some last till the end of the slide. Everything works fine when I preview the slide (F3). However, when I preview any other way (5 slides, from this slide, project, in browser) or publish, then those objects do not appear on the slide.
I am able to add highlight boxes OK and change the timing, but not smart shapes or images. If the timing is anything other than the full duration, then they do not appear.
I have checked the objects to ensure they are visible, I have cleared my Captivate Cache, I have duplicated the affected slides.
Any ideas?

What Vikram is hinting at I believe is that your image button is pausing the slide before your other objects appear.
F3 is not a publish preview. It just plays the timeline in Edit mode but interactive objects do not pause the timeline in that mode. When you actually publish for real, at run-time these objects will pause the timeline, which is probably causing you to not see objects that would be added to the screen AFTER the image button's pause point.

Hello-
I have created and saved a software simulation with 18 slides, each with multiple elements added to it. I have set each element to appear at varying intervals on each of the slides. When I select the blue play arrow, from the bottom of the timeline view shown below, the slide, and its elements, perform perfectly. I save and publish the project (with Export PDF checked), open the PDF I find that elements on 4 of the 18 slides do not perform as set in their timeline.
In the example shown below:
The Serial Number...does not appear at all
Typing Text...types the first two numbers and stops (I have increased the time and have the same result)
What am I missing here?
Oh, and I'm a total newb here, on many levels...

You have four buttons, pausing at 1.5secs. If none of those shape buttons is clicked, the text with the SN will never appear since it is timed at 2secs. And typing text will stop at the same pause.
Change the pausing point to later for all shape buttons in the Timing panel, or drag the pausing line in the timeline.

Objects not appearing in build list

I recently downloaded Keynote 3.0 and successfully converted a MS Powerpoint file to Keynote. However, some of the objects are not appearing on my build list. Furthermore, when I try to edit the slide with "new" text, etc they still are not on the build list.
I have tried Web searches and downloaded the manual without resolution of the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

BI authorization objects not appearing in RAR, error while generating role

I am facing certain problems relating to integration of BI module version 7 with GRC Access Controls version 5.3 and support package 06. I am describing the problems in details below:
(a) In Risk Analysis and Remediation (RAR) component, I am creating Functions and
      Risks for Business Intelligence (BI) module. For that I have downloaded the
      descriptive text and authorization object data from BI development system and
      uploaded the same in RAR. Then I have created 2 Function Ids DBI1 (having action
      RSA1) and DBI2 (having actions RSA11, RSA12, RSA13, RSA14, RSA15) and 1
      Risk Id for BI (having Function Ids DBI1 and DBI2) in RAR. But when I checked
      the permission tabs of the Function Ids DBI1 and DBI2, I could not find any
      authorization objects for the actions in them.
(b) In Enterprise Role Management (ERM), when I am trying to create a Role TEST-BI
       in DBI 100 and I put the BI transaction codes in authorization data , I get the
       authorization objects . Risk analysis is also being done successfully. But at the time
       of Role generation in background mode , it is giving an error message :
       Error generating role TEST-BI for system DBI 100: Unable to interpret * as a number.
       I am thus unable to generate any role in DBI 100.
(c) In Compliance User Provisioning (CUP), I have imported a standard role from DBI
      100. Then I have added Functional Area, Business Process, Subprocess and
      Criticality Level to this role in CUP. But when I try to assign this Role to an user, it
       gives an error Error creating request. But requests are getting created and roles are
       being assigned to users in ECC development systems using the same Initiator, CAD, stage
       and path.
Can anyone please help me ?

Why do objects not appear in safari on iPad

On some websites only one object displays, where others should be there is just a blank space. Not sure if this is a JavaScript or flash plugin problem.

New objects not appearing in Integration Directory

Created two new Message Interfaces and they aren't appearing in the Integration Directory when I create my Interface Determination. I copied an Interface that was appearing and the copy isn't showing either.
I've checked the change lists in both systems and nothing is left to activate. I just wanted some suggestions as to what else I should check.

Thanks I performed a cache refresh using SXI_CACHE and there aren't any changes are waiting to be activated.
With regards to the selection you can't delete the 'query' and select all. The select interface dialog just has a list of the interfaces available and an OK or CANCEL box.
What is also interesting is that two interfaces that were deleted earlier today are showing in the list.

Interface objects not appearing

Hi,
When I tried to open interface objects in integration repository.It asked for password.After giving password I got prompt that server connection established successfully.
But I can't see any interface objects or mapping objects.

sometimes it happens so. Use the Refresh button on hte
Top Left corner to refresh the Objects.
Even if that dosen't work. Close the IB and open it again...

Timed Objects do not appear, part 2

I am having an issue with getting timed objects to appear and was asked to post a screen shot of the set up. I apologize, but I am unable to post a screen shot here. I can take the screen shot and post elsewhere, just not here.
Here is the setup as best I can describe it.
There is one slide out of 19 that does not work correctly. It is a new addition to the slide deck and is intended to introduce viewers to the layout of an upcoming quiz.
It has a title and text area. There are three buttons that mimic quiz selection buttons. These three buttons are viewable throughout the full duration of the slide and work properly.
As the audio flows, Objects in the form of arrows are timed to appear to direct the viewers attention to the proper button. These do not appear at all. This is the reason I am writing.
The structure of the time line, from bottom to top is: Audio, Slide, the three buttons, then the arrows. I believe this layering is correct. The properties is set so they are viewable in the output.
Again, I apologize for not being able to paste in a screen shot.

I have attached the two screen shots. The first is a partial time line and the other
is the full slide.
They are copy pasted into a word doc, which I was able to attach.
I hope this gives some insight.

GP, callable object Web Dynpro Application (bespoke) not appearing in list

Hey y'all
We're developing our first GP, and we would like to call an existing bespoke Web Dynpro. When creating the callable object, we're selecting type Web Dynpro Application, but our Web Dynpro screen is not appearing in the drop down list on the next page. We think that this is because the application has been deployed to a different server (i.e. it has not been deployed onto the portal server).
So the question is, has anyone faced this problem before, and is there a solution?

Please have a look at this Exception on creating GP Action
This will solve your issue definitively. Do not take care of a given SDA, just redeploy everything and make sure that everything is overwritten by selecting the right option.

Delegated Object's event not appearing in the "start event" tab

Hi,
I have created a object type say Y00Mara( copy of BUS1001) ....then created a subtype from it ...called Ymara00.
then I created a deleegation ...if I test the supertype i can now see the new objects/attributes etc...
I also added one event "old_material_changed" in the subtype and changed the status on both the subtype and delegted obj to "implemented".
when i am trying to use this delegated obj in the "start event" tab of a WF ...the new event "old_material_changed" is not appearing...
what maay be thhe reason

Please maintain the delegation with the subtype ( Y00Mara) and supertype ( BUS1001 ) by using transaction SWE_SET_DELEGATION. Now run the above transaction.
Click on new entres.
Enter the follwoing values...
Object type : BUS1001
Person responsible : your sap user id
Delegation type : Y00Mara
Save it.
Now whenever you use BUS1001, all the custom mentod, events will be available there.

Object Ref Prof R/s tab not appearing in complaint Tx?

I added object ref profile in complaint transaction. But I am unable to see relationship tab at header or item. The same profile is working fine with Service order. But its not working in complaint transactions.
Please suggest.

Thanks for your valuable input. But pbm is if I use reference data tab then sold to party of the tx in which we are putting ref data and sold to party of ref data shoud be same..otherwise it will not allow to attach..
Please suggest why relationship tab does not appear and is this product error?

Graphical Glitches: Objects appear not selected when they are, Symbols not appearing correctly

I've been having a ton of graphical glitches with Adobe Flash CS6 and I can't for the life of me figure out for the life of me.
Things that happen:
Objects will not appear selected when using the Free Transform Tool.
Symbols don't appar in scene when pasted, or dragged in until I leave the scene or symbol im in. They show up in the preview window though.
Something else I've been noticing is that when I use the Pen tool my computer or speakers or something making this werid noise and it only happens when I'm using the Pen tool.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No one has had these issues? I just got another one. My timeline disappeared, I don't mean the menu hid or thats it not there. It's there its just not actually displaying the Timeline or at least it didn't till I wen't back a few changes for some reason. It was still there though as I could click the eye and lock and the layers (which ones I have no idea) it was all grey. Also again the selection area doesn't show up, all movements of symbols are slow to update their postitions and when I turn on outlines it does nothing.
Also everytime I close Flash I get an error from windows, no idea why.

Web-object interaction/widget does not appear in published slideshow

I added the web-object interaction/widget using my notes from the instructions in the relevant Lynda.com video (as the Captivate 7 User Guide makes no mention of the web page widget, web-object widget, web object widget, web-object interaction, web-page interaction, web page interaction, or webpage interaction).
The web-object interaction, or web-object widget (or whatever you choose to call the thingie that should provide the user of the published project slideshow with direct interaction with a web page from within one of the slides), it sometimes works in preview; may have worked once when published; but otherwise does not appear on the slide.
On its not appearing in either the published HTML document or the SWF file:
--I had a Continue button on the slide, and tried removing that.
This did not help.
--Because the web-object interaction/widget automatically sets the slide's action on entrance to "Pause," I tried setting it to "No action" (thinking that the slide, being pause on entrance, might never get to the web-object widget/interaction).
This did not help.
--I thought that perhaps navigating in the slide show with various "Jump to slide" settings, I would watch it without navigation.
This did not help.
Any help will be appreciated.

In the published folder, I noticed a SWF called stagewebview. I guess this file has got something to do with Web Object interaction. When we link to published HTML file, this SWF is getting called automatically. But in your case since you are linking to published SWF file, the web object interaction SWF is not getting called. So, is it not possible for you to link it to HTM file?

Timing of text box will not appear. My text boxes stop working on slide 5 and they will not work for the remainder of the slide show.

Timing of text box not working. I get the first few slides to work and then on slide 5 my text boxes will not appear. And they do not appear for the rest of the slide show. Help anyone.

Text caption is timed to appear at 2 seconds, but you have a click box at 0sec. Its duration is very short, which means that I cannot see if there is a pause. I suspect this click box is pausing at the end of its timeline, which is at 0.3secs and the Text caption at 2 seconds will not appear before the user has clicked on that click box. The timeline is the core of Captivate, learn at least how to read it.

If you want the green text caption 'Click on...' to appear right at the beginning of the slide, you have to check its Timing accordion: set it to start at 0 secs instead of 2 secs and extend its duration to the 'rest of the slide'.
I don't know what is in the Group. That group and the HIghlight box will disappear at 3 seconds. Or maybe the action that is triggered by the Clickbox is different from 'Continue'?

EXC_BAD_ACCES at object that exists (Does not appear on NSZombieEnabled)

Hello everybody, I got an EXC_BAD_ACCES. I made upa n iPhone/iPad App, and one day testing it on iPhoneSimulator, I found that the app chrashes, when I´m trying to remove something from an array. I have a Selfmade object-class, called Box. In every box are 6 NSMutableArrays. In the init method, they are all alloced and inited, and of cause they have to be released in dealoc. And in this dealoc, I get an EXC_BAD_ACCES on the last array, although its handled exactly like the other five. I turned on NSZombieEnabled, to fight the bug. But it was away. Everything worked well. So I thought it might be just a bug of the iPhoneSimulator. Now I´m testing the App on a real device, and the Bug comes back. Not when I turn on NSZombieEnabled on Xcode and start it from there, but if I´m starting it on the device (an iPad 1) itself. So I tried different things: 1.) I set a breakpoint right before the release. I found out that the object is NOT released at this time. It has a place in the Memory, and it seems just like a complete object. This is strange, because such errors usually appear on overreleased objects. 2.) I tried to log the retainCount of the object. It ended in the same EXC_BAD_ACCES as the release. 3.) I tried to Log the retainCount of the object #5 wich is released before #6 without any kind of problem. This is intressting, because it leads to an bad_acces in the [array removeObjectAtIndex:... line. 4.) I thought: If there is an bad_acces on these objects, why should I release them? So I commented out the dealoc funktion. It worked. But instruments showed tons of leaks. So this is no option. In conclusion:
There is an EXC_BAD_ACCES although the objects are not overreleased.
This error does not appear with NSZombieEnabled
The objects are there, they EXIST, instruments shows that and Xcode, too. But there is an bad_acces anyway.
I am really confused, and I don´t know an answer, I have never seen anything like this before.
I´m waiting for iOS 5 with Garbage collector
