Timed out error with Fp-2000 while find devices

When I try to Find Devices in MAX (version 3.1) I get the error "The connection to a remote device timed out". With the File Transfer and the Install Software I don't have the problem. I tried to use a different Workstation, different IP Address but the problem persists. Do you have a solution?
Vincenzo Pascariello

Hi,
the 2 flashes of the Status led are indicating that the software is not properly installed.
As for the Devices not found problem, I don't think the problem has to do with MAX, FP software or LabVIEW 7.1.
When devices are not found, generally there is a communication problem.
This can be possibly due to 2 situations:
1) There is a bent Pin on one of the FP-TB which is making the Fieldpoint bus not to work properly.
2) There are network problems. One way to workaround this might be to connect to the FP-2000 using a crossover cable and link directly to the PC. This avoids any network connection problems.
The last thing you need to take into account is that the FP-2000 module might be damaged and need repair.
If you are unable to get to a solution, contact NI Tech Support at
02.41.30.92.17 and ask for support with an Engineer

  • Read timed out error while opening monitor tab in DataServices

    Hello all,
Am getting a "Read timed out" error when I try to open the monitor tab in DataServices admin console for a few jobs only. For several jobs, monitor tab opens just fine. But for a few it doesnt and throws the error mentioned above. Mostly this behaviour is noticed with a job having several workflows and dataflows.
The version of DS used is 12.1.0.0. Tried to gather some info on this issue, but couldnt find any relevant thread. Would really appreciate if anyone could help me with it.

    Regards,
    Babu

    Hi Babu,
you might try the following on the server where the problem occurred: call transaction SMICM -> Goto Services -> Select the service you are working with ->
Service Change -> increase value for "Max. Processing Time"
In case your application still times out you should see the changed value displayed.
Sometimes just executing the application again 2-4 times might help, because compiling might happen and is taking some time in the system.
With regards to parameters see also SAP Note [824554|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/824554].

  • Require help to solve Connection timed out error while reload initial data

    Dear Developers,
I have installed SAP NetWeaver and SAP ME SDK 2.0 on my laptop and working from offshore, the SAP ME WIP and ODS database is situated at onsite. The installation is working fine, however, after developing Activity Hooks, at the step where I need to Reload Initial Data for the Site where I want the Activity to be used I get the below error message:
    500 Connection timed out
    Error: -5
    Version: 7011
    Component: ICM
    Date/Time: Wed Mar 07 12:37:38 2012

    Server: <laptop_hostname>_<SID>_00
    Error Tag: {-}
Detail: Connection to partner timed out after 600s
    © 2001-2009, SAP AG
How to find out what is causing this error? When I use the hostname of the onsite SAP ME application pointing to the same database, Reload Initial Data works fine. I need to reload initial data from laptop SAP ME application only, beacause the activity hook classes reside on my laptop, before I send the SAPME.sca files for common server build.

    Hello,
Please try to increase PROCTIMEOUT ICM parameter for the corresponding server\port. If it does not help, please, check NW default traces for ME errors and share your results with us.
    Best regards,
    Alex.

Sorry I gave this a 'this helped me' but after a long struggle I found some ticked box somewhere from some unauthorised chrome extension blaaa....... the link you gave was great, not only did it confirm all the bad things google is supposed to be up to it provided a better browser. Cheers man.
Anyone who find this; I disabled all extension in chrome. I then searched the word proxy in the settings section. A button came up, "change proxy settings" I clicked on it. Earlier it was greyed out as an extension was interefering.. It brought up a box with my own settings from my computer. Then I clicked LAN settings, then unchecked the 'Use a proxy server' button.
P.S. If you're using chrome, bail, and dowload Komodo Dragon. It's virtually identical, but you're not tracked, and you can use chrome extensions, and you can quickily transfer your chrome preferences into it.

  • Request timed out.- Error while opening a item in Blog

    Hi,
We have a blog in our share point portal which was running properly before few days.
We get Request Timed out error while opening an item in the blog. The list contains about
       3500 items
    [HttpException (0x80004005): Request timed out.]
We were able to create a new item but not able to view the item.
When we check the server SQLSERVR.EXE takes more than 90% of the CPU Usage.
Please let me know how to resolve this issue.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
According to your description, Please check the RAM allocated to your SQL server. MOSS server needs 2GB RAM
to preform well. SQL requires 2GB RAM for optimum performance.
Messages like this are mainly due to lack of RAM Allocation.

  • Timed Out error while executing BI report in Portal

    Hi Experts,
When we are trying to execute a BI report which returns over 9 lac records, it is taking lot of time to get executed and then its throwing the timed out error.
Can anyone help me resolving the issue?
Is this a problem with the performance of Portal server or its just due to the huge amount of records that are being retrieved?
    Thank You.
    Regards,
    Murthy.

I havent got any solution regarding this. But, due to constraint regarding number of open Question in the forum, I am closing this and as there is not other way I am marking it as answered.
Please suggest any other way to close the thread if this is not the right way.
    Thank You.

  • "timed out" error while transferring music and videos

    Hi,
I use iTunes 8.1.0.52. When i connect iPhone and start transferring music or videos it simply throws out "device timed out" error. What do i do? do i have a solution for this problem? My iPhone is updated with latest software 2.2. Any suggestions?

try using a different USB port on your computer. i've seen this before in the forum, and the problem was a bad USB port.
are you plugging in directly to your computer, or through a USB hub? from what i've seen, you can not use a USB hub.

  • Timed Out Error while waiting for response from DB Procedure

    Hi Gurus,
We are encountering a problem in our production environment. The system is implemented using AIA foundation pack 2.5 on SOA suite 10.1.3.4.
We have a BPEL process A which calls an ESB Service which inturn calls BPEL Process B. In process B, we have a DB procedure call which waits for a response from
a DB procedure. The procedure doesn't reply on time and Process B remains in waiting state to get the response from DB Procedure wherein Process A errors out by showing as "Timed Out Error".
This issue is intermittent and we have already increased transaction-time outs in transaction-manager.xml to 7200 and ejb-orion-jar.xml to 3600.
When we encountered this problem, we found out that there are too many connections open and when we bounced the server, everything was restored to nornal but as it is a production env. we can't do it over and over again.
We have 2 nodes each having max connections as 100 and min. as 0.
Is there a limit to max no. of connections or can we do something in DB side to ensure that it doesn't happen again ?
    Please suggest.

  • Anyone else getting a timed out error message when trying to check for updates via the app store software on a desktop?

anyone else getting a timed out error message when trying to check for updates via the app store software on a desktop?

Hi, couple of things to try...
    Anonymous
Post subject: NSURLErrorDomain error -1100 in OS X 10.8
If you check for software updates using the App Store in OS X 10.8 and get "NSURLErrorDomain error -1100" the problem may be with your Software Update preferences. This is particularly likely if you were using a custom Apple Software Update server. To solve the problem, quit the App Store, move the following two files (if present) to the trash, restart, and only then rerun App Store updates:
    /Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist
    /Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist.lockfile
    http://x704.net/bbs/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=6130
I was recently trying to upgrade to mountain lion through the app store.  I have unreliable Internet from a cable company whom I will not name, but we all know who they are.  My Internet dropped while downloading the upgrade.  Once I went through the notorious unplug the modem/router and plugged it back in to gain Internet connectivity again, I could not resume. No matter what I did, the app store kept displaying "an error occurred." I am hoping that those with the same issue read this first to save them hours of skimming through the Internet to find a solution.  Here are the steps to take:
    1. Make sure you have reestablished Internet connection
    2. Chances are you got frustrated when you tried to resume/unpause the download and clicked the "X" to the left.  If so, select the "Store" drop-down menu from the App Store and select "View My Account." There should be an option to unhide your purchase.  You know what to do.
    3. There is also an option to  reset all warnings for buying and downloading under "View My Account." Do this, click "Done," sign out of the App Store and quit the App Store.
    4. Open the Preferences in safari and select Privacy.  Select "Remove All Website Data."  Just do it.
    5. Launch the app store and sign in.
    6. Now, if you "Check for Unfinished Downloads" everything works peachy.
I hope this helps.  Not much I can do for your Internet connection though.

  • Timed out error in SRM

    Hi
I am working in SRM 5 and with support level 9.
When the user try to type in lot of information manually in the Header or the Item text in the SRM PO and then try to save it, he gets the SRM timed out error. Looks like SRM doesn't treat the information being filled in header and item text field as system being active and ultimately gives a timed out error.
Any suggestions to overcome this issue?
    Thanks a lot in advance.

  • Add-on connection timed out Error

    Hi all,
I have created an add on following sdk help. (ie; a blanket project). The add - on installs properly but while runnig it gives connection timed out error. I have found a lot of similar threads in the form. but all of them uses B1DE. And the B1DE is not getting installed properly in my system . the installation of B1DE completes sucessfully but i dont find any SAP templates in my Visual studio 2005. I suppose its a B1DE version problem since while installing it is asking for vsual basic .net 2003 path where as I have oly VS 2005. From where do I get B1DE versionfor VS 2005 ?
    Regards,
    Priya

    Priya,
You download B1DE from the same area as you download the B1DE for VS 2003.
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/businessone?rid=/webcontent/uuid/a175fb62-0c01-0010-a8b5-fa58a13b1cf7 [original link is broken]
You need to download B1DE for VS 2005.

  • Experiencing "timed out" error when uploading podcast

I am experiencing a "timed out" error when uploading a podcast to iTunes. Using PC. I've updated iTunes...

    - You really need to ask the Basis team to extend the maximum run time for background processes (30 mins is too short).
    - You can also try to reduce the run time by setting up BOM Buffering in configuration so if the same BOM is used again and again (in your case of delete and recreate planned order, yes), it will read from memory.
    - You should set the planning horizon and use NETPL (net change in planning horizon) in daily run.  So that the run will only find the relevant changes in order proposal up to certain days, thus reduce run time.
    - You should discuss with your BASIS team about the list of background job in the batch windows.  Specify time in such a way that the performance-critical job (i.e., MRP, reschedule sales order, certain customized report, etc.) doesn't run at the same time.
    - You can increase the number of parallel processes to issue several jobs to run MRP at the same time.

  • Avoiding AppleEvent Timed Out Error -1712

Hey all I am relatively new to applescsripting.  I have come up with the below applescript for a project here at work.  Basically this applescript is used to open pdfs in full screen mode, display them for set lenght of time and rotate continously. It is intended for this script to never stop unless the machine is rebooted.  Every 30 minutes or so, the script closes the pdf windows and goes out to a share drive to get updated copies, that it then copies to local drive, replacing the ones there already.
My question or problem is thus, I have been getting Appleevent Timed out Errors and would like to know the best way to avoid or deal with these and have script to either start over or continue executing but not just stop dead in its tracks.  The last line I got an AppleEvent Timed out error on was
    execute menu item "FullScreenMode"
but i have received it elsewhere in the script also.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

You already had one solution, the try statement
    try
    -- your statement here.
    execute menu item "FullScreenMode"
    on error errorMsg
    log "got error >" & errorMsg & "< "
display dialog " error. >" & errorMsg giving up after 20
    end try
The default time for an application to respond to a command is two minutes.
You can change this time via with timeout
I didn't examine your script to find the slow down place, but as an example.
      tell application "Microsoft Outlook"
         with timeout of 600 seconds
                        set OutgoingEmail to make new outgoing message with properties {subject:the_subject, content:this_error}
         end timeout
      end tell
