Timed out timed out
Even when I'm composing my e mail it goes to timed out why? Come on Verizon are you that hard up for internet space? That's all I see now is timed out messages and don't get to use the time I need to write my e mails. I know what you think that there's so many people on line and that's what chokes it up but YOU VERIZON ADVERTISE that YOU'RE FAST AND HAVE THE LARGEST INTERNET IN THE US AND STILL CAN'T HANDLE THE LOAD . HA GO BACK TO THE SIMPLE SIDE AND KEEP IT THAT WAY, WHY CHANGE SOMETHING THAT WORKS AND MAKE SOMETHING HARDER AND WORST. like the attached VI shows I tried to "clean" the data file using the match pattern and then save the modified data into another text file. I tried furthermore to set up a graph to show the modified data with time information [step in every 20 ms].
It somehow doesn't work for me but don't see why. Can you please advise what I'm doing wrong.

Nslookup: DNS request timed out. time out was 2 seconds. (When the primary DNS is down)

I have set up 2 Windows Server 2012 domain controllers (DCA & DCB). DCA points at DCB as the primary DNS, and itself as the alternate DNS. DCB points at DCA as the primary DNS, and itself as the alternate DNS.
When both DCs are running and if I do an nslookup on DCA: The result is as follows:
Default Server: dcb.testdomain.com
Address: 30.30.30.2
nslookup on DCB:
Default Server: dca.testdomain.com
Address: 30.30.30.1
Client PC (Windows 7 Pro):
1st DNS : 30.30.30.31
Alternate DNS: 30.30.30.32
nslookup on the client PC
Default Server: dca.testdomain.com
Address: 30.30.30.1
Up to here everything is fine. Now if I turn off DCA, and do an nslookup, the result is as follows:
DCB nslookup:
DNS request timed out.
time out was 2 seconds.
Default Server Unknown
Address: 30.30.30.31
Client PC nslookup:
DNS request timed out.
time out was 2 seconds.
Default Server Unknown
Address: 30.30.30.31
I waited for more than 15 minutes an tried again, it didn't help.
I have been reading a few similar posts on this matter, but couldn't find the answer.
I would expected it to display the DCB when I do an nslookup.
Question 1: Shouldn't that display DCB rather than displaying a time out message when I do nslookup?
Question 2: The fact that it displays a time out message, does it mean that more configuration needs to be done? If so please kindly advice what needs to be done.
I did an ipconfig /displaydns command. I realized that the order of DNS have changed on both DCB and the Client PC:
Now, they both display DCB on the top of the list, whereas they were displaying DCA on the top of the list prior to the shut down.
Question 3: Does it mean that the Client PC now knows that the 1st DNS is down and so it's using the 2nd DNS?
If so, why does the nslookup display the time out message?
Question 4: Is it possible to configure either of DNS Server or the DNS client, so it displays the 2nd DNS when the first DNS is not accessible and when I do nslookup?

Based on my understanding, the issue we are experiencing is that: when the primary DNS server is down, the result of the tool Nslookup is to diaplay the time out message at first. Right?
Based on my knowledge, timed out message is means that the server did not respond to a request after a certain amount of time and a certain number of retries. Because the primary DNS server is down, it can't respond to this request and time is out. When
the primary DNS server can't respond, the secondary DNS server works to ensure effective work. And the order is changed as you said.
As to the reason why the result is still the same even when the order has changed, we can try to use Network Monitor to capture network traffic and view and analyze it to find the cause. And the cause may be the cache. For your information, please refer

You need to authorize your new computer in iTunes with the same account that is synced to your nano (and old iTunes)
In the menu bar click Store >> Authorize This Computer…
This will allow your purchased music to be re-downloaded from iTunes and played on your new computer.
If you did not purchase the music through iTunes, you may need a third-party program to get the music off the nano. However, It is much easier (by far) to move your old library from your old computer to the new one if you still have access to the old files. iTunes will not transfer music from your nano to the computer. It is a one-way sync.
If you still have access to your old files, search google for how to transfer an itunes library, and follow someones instructions. It's not too complicated. You may want to specify mac to pc, pc to mac, mac to mac, or pc to pc, as the instructions will change. -

Unfortunately you got caught up in the minor miracle of Rosetta. Originally licensed by Apple when it migrated from the PowerPC CPU platform that it had used from the mid-1990's until the Intel CPU platform in 2006, Rosetta allowed Mac users to continue to use their library of PPC software transparently in emulation.
However, Apple's license to continue to use this technology expired with new releases of OS X commencing with Lion (and now Mountain Lion). While educational efforts have been made over the last 6 years, the fact is that Rosetta was SO successful that many users were caught unaware UNTIL they upgraded to Lion or Mountain Lion.
Workarounds:
1. If your Mac will support it, restore OS X Snow Leopard;
2. If your Mac will support it, partition your hard drive or add an external hard drive and install Snow Leopard into it and use the "dual-boot" method to choose between your PowerPC software or Lion/Mt. Lion;
3. Upgrade your software to Intel compatible versions if they are available, or find alternative software that will open, modify and save your data files;
3. Install Snow Leopard (with Rosetta) into Parallels:

You need to get the key from the new device and enter it into the old device. So on the old device select "Pair a device" and the place to enter the key will show up.

For example: 1) Schedule with operations 2) Flush unit 3) Lock out tag out procedures 4) Pull unit and clean propeller.
For reporting purpose we want to identify all the Task List that require LogOut TagOuts. Is there a way to query those items.

Difference between system.out.println() & out.println()
Could anybody please tell what is the difference between System.out.println() & out.println() in JSP ? I have noticed sometimes times the former works & sometimes latter. But I don't know where to use what & the difference between the two.
System.out is the console (or log file potentially)
In JSPs, out is defined for you as the stream send back to the browser. e.g. the HTML the browser displays.
System.out always works, but you might not see the output.
out only works is a variable has been defined like; PrintStream out. -

I would like to line-by-line strip the unnecessary data away after the first number. I would like to display this updated set of data in a graph in a way that the X scale would show the relative time with 20 ms resolution. I thought of a solution similar to the attached picture but it is for charts. I need to display it in graphs as I want to include cursors as well later on.
Does somebody have an idea how to get rid of the unnecessary data efficiently and how to display the updated data in a relative timed X scale?

Pop up menu mouse out timing...
How do I make the Pop Up menu created in Fireworks disappear
faster after I mouse out of it – It kinda hangs there for 2
seconds and then disappears.. I want it gone as soon as I mouse
out. I can’t find the length in “mm_css_menu.js”

There should be a box in there that says "menu delay." The default
settings, at least in my copy of Fireworks 8, are set to 500 ms,
i.e. half a second. You can change that to whatever you want - you
can even make it zero if you like. You can do the same thing after
you export it to Dreamweaver or wherever, look up the actual code
and change the number of milliseconds by hand. This way is easier,
though.

Anyone know how to reach someone in customer service who will not out and out LIE to us?
Just so frustrated right now... in the near week since my husband's iPhone was stolen, we have spoken to four different reps and three so-called supervisors. Each one has either made the problem worse or actually lied to us. Does anyone know how to reach someone at Verizon who will help us? We have three iPhones with Verizon and are ready to leave for AT&T.
So far, this is what we've had:
1. As we were tracking the phone with the police to get it back, Verizon tech support advised us to wipe the phone because we'd still be able to track it. WRONG. Phone lost forever. Verizon clearly does not understand what "wipe" means on MobileMe. What they should have said is, "We don't know for sure, so don't wipe it."
2. Rep transferring my husband's phone number to a backup handset transferred MY number to that phone, deactivated MY iPhone and reported it as stolen. When they were trying to fix it, we were assured that our unlimited data plan would not be affected. WRONG. Reps are now refusing to give it back.
3. Next rep advised us to get insurance on the phones because if anything happens, they are replaced for free. WRONG. $199 deductible, which we found out from the next rep.
4. The supervisor we spoke to yesterday said she would pull the tapes from the call center, review them to make sure that IT gave us the wrong information, and then call us back the next day with a discounted rate on a new iPhone. She gave us her name and direct number... both of which were bogus. The number goes to a media specialist at some public school. Subsequent reps have told us that there is no way anyone at Verizon would say that.
5. We have been promised three times that a supervisor would call us within 24 hours... almost a week later, no calls from anyone.
So if anyone has any leads on how to speak to someone who will make this nightmare go away, please, please, let me know. Thank you.feochadan wrote:

When on the internet, how can I zoom out with out cuting off part of games and stuff?
When I go to Mozilla Firefox, I can't see everything on the screen because it is zoomed in to much. When I go to view and zoom out, it zooms out but when I go to armorgames, part of the games I play are cut off so I can't see everything on the game. Plus, it just zooms back in when I leave Firefox and get back on. It wasn't always like that though. I want to know if I can set the default view to normal so I can see everything on the screen without having to scroll left and right, or having part of games cut off.

To set your default zoom level you usually need an add-on. Have you tried installing one named Default FullZoom Level or another named NoSquint? <br>

You can also try disabling Firefox's use of hardware accelerated graphics. In order for this to take effect you usually need to restart Firefox. <br>
Go to Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > General and uncheck the box for "Use hardware acceleration when available"

Problem with IN OUT Number, OUT RefCursor for EF Model StoredProcedure call
When I call a stored procedure using the EF Model and implicit binding via App.config which has three parameters i.e. 'IN Number', 'IN OUT Number' and 'OUT sys_refcursor', the 'IN OUT Number' is not set correctly on return from the procedure.
The 'IN OUT Number' is for an error code and is set to 12345 on input and is then set to 54321 by stored proceedure for return.
The correct value is returned when the call is via OracleCommand using implicit binding via App.config but remains unchanged when the call is via EF Model and implicit binding via App.config.
The ODP documentaion says you cannot have two OUT RefCursors when using EF Model but does not say you cannot have OUT RefCursor and other non-RefCursor OUT parameters.
The idea behind this type of procedure is to have multiple input parameters to configure and filter the stored procedure and an output result set that consists of an error code and a collection of result rows in a RefCursor.
I am using 11g R2 database and ODP 11g Release 2 (11.2.0.2.30) and ODAC Entity Framework beta.
The query uses Scott/tiger schema with parameters department code, error code and list of employees for department.

If there is no RefCursor then both outputs are identical i.e. the parameters are being passed in correctly and the problem is not with the 'IN OUT' parameter. Also same thing is true if ERROR_CODE is made an OUT parameter. Also tried changing the position of the parameter in the list but still get same problem i.e. works when OracleCommand but not when EF Model. Also note that the RefCursor results are correct for both types of call i.e. it is just a problem with the value of the 'IN OUT ERROR_CODE' parameter.
I have also enabled debug stepping from Visual Studio 2010 into Oracle PL/SQL as described in
"http://st-curriculum.oracle.com/obe/db/hol08/dotnet/debugging/debugging_otn.htm"
and have verified by inspection that the correct values are being passed into the stored procedure and that the stored procedure is definitely setting the ERROR_CODE to 54321 prior to return.
Most of our stored procedures have these type of parameters i.e. several IN params to configure the work of the stored procedure, an OUT NUMBER parameter for the Error_Code if any and a RefCursor for the result list.
Is this a bug or a feature? Am I doing something wrong?Just to clarify ....
If the ERROR_CODE parameter is made an 'OUT' parameter instead of an 'IN OUT' parameter the correct return value is given for the OracleCommand invocation but the WRONG value is still returned for the EF Model invocation i.e. just changing the parameter from 'IN OUT' to just 'OUT' does not fix the problem. -

I believe you cannot do and you are not supposed to change it. Controlling the report output to different types can be done as explained in these docs.
