Timeframes in PO search

Hello Experts,
When users want to search for a purchase order in   order to create confirmation in EBP, the system gives 5 timeframe options in
search condition. One of them “Last Year” is actually confusing users.
For example, if the search is performed on Mar 2nd,   2015, “Last Year” could mean both of the below periods.
The
year 2014, i.e. “from Jan 1st, 2014 to Dec 31st, 2014”
Last
12 months, i.e. “from Mar 2nd, 2014 to Mar 2nd, 2015”
   The EBP system actually displays PO’s created under   the period 2)mentioned above as a result.
To add some more important facts, in other search   functionalities such as “Advanced Search”, the system shows “Last 12 Months”.
The timeframe label in “Search Purchase Order” needs to be changed to “Last 12 Months” to be consistent throughout the system itself and also not to confuse users.
Is this achievable?
How can we do it?
Pls suggest.

you may need to change the standard domain for that.
But careful, it will change the description in all searches, where this domain is used.

Podcast not showing up in itunes search after 1 week

i submitted my podcast with one episode and it was accepted on 17 july. i am able to get to it in the itunes store by using the url as provided in the email.

i have put an icon with that url in my blog (meterdown.wordpress.com) and that works fine. people are taken to the podcast in the itunes store and can subscribe.
however when i search the store, my podcast is not turning up either by podcast name (meter down) or by author/artist name (kabi) or by keyword (taxi, bombay, hindi).
I can ping using the podcast ID (id=nnn) and it returns the podcast feed url (http://feeds.feedburner.com/meterdown) and the podcast ID.
it doesn't list an episode however. is it supposed to?
my main question is "why am i not showing up in the search?"
is there something wrong in my xml? I host at switchpod and run it thru feedburner and I use the feedburner feed.
i have read and read the forums here, feedburner, podcast alley and also am emailing switchpod support. still can't figure it out.

Thanks for the information. What you mention is boilerplate that is automatically sent when a new podcast is approved. I also quoted it like scripture before diving deeper into researching this issue.
The research into this problem suggests that there is a minimum number of podcasts in order to be included in the search index (or at least the search results) whether it's undocumented or unintentional.
Case in point, Meter Down posted his first complaint that his podcast hadn't shown up in the search even after a week (far outside the 24-48 hours you mention and that is documented)..that was a week ago. A total of at least two weeks that his podcast could not be found by searching by the exact title. His podcast showed up search within a day after adding his second episode (yesterday).
Jerry Pine posted July 17 that his podcast "Everything Algae" had been approved July 13 but couldn't be found by searching...even by name. July 28th, he added a second episode as a test...and his podcast became searchable.
There are several others who went for days or weeks without being listed in search results by even searching for their exact podcast title...common trait between all of them was that they only had one episode. They added a second episode and within the day they show up in search results.
There are others that had newly submitted podcasts whose podcasts showed up within the 24-48 hours timeframe...but they had at least two episodes.
I'm just providing the facts...could be coincidence that they just happened to be searchable just after posting a second episode.
I'd invite you to read through and share with the iTunes podcast developers the several thread from various people who have reported problems with having a searchable podcasts and draw your own conclusions.

Date range searches - not working

Whenever I use a date range on a OTN forum search, the results are not what I expected them to be. For example I did a search for JUnit within a timefram of 30 days and my own posts don't show up.
Is this a known issue?

Timeframe Default Value in Confirmation

Hi,
My requirement is that , In Confirm Goods/Services BBPCF02 under "Search for Purchase Order section" we have ("Item Description" "Name of Shopping Cart" " Timeframe" "Purchase Order Number" ) fieds.At present the TIMEFRAME value is always defaulted to "Last 7 Days".I need to chnage TIMEFRAME value dfault to "Last 90 Days" instead.

Search tab malfunction in RoboHelp 8 (WebHelp output)

I am trying to create a WebHelp output after importing a Word doc into RobobHelp HTML 8. Once I generate WebHelp as the primary layout, the TOC and Index tabs work fine. However, the Search tab isn't working: Regardless of the key word I use in my search, the only result I get is a link to the imported doc (which imports as a single topic). This isn't a helpful Search function at all. What am I missing?

I have come acoss issues being reported in adobe forums that webhelp output cannot be viewed in IE 10. Fixes are provided for Robohelp 10 @http://forums.adobe.com/community/robohelp/robohelp_webhelp?view=discussions where we are given a link with the fixes @.http://helpx.adobe.com/robohelp/kb/help-visible-using-win-8-ie.html but no fixes are available for robohelp 8. Please provide a similar fix for robohelp 8
Request the adobe development team to get back ASAP as we do not have the timeframe to upgrade to robohelp 10.

Search multiple files (sqldeveloper 1.5.1)

I'm pretty sure this (subject above) can't be done with SQLdeveloper. Just need a final 'nope' on this, and maybe also wether this will eventually (timeframe?) be supported by SQLDeveloper.
I'm looking into moving from JDeveloper to SQLDeveloper. I use JDeveloper currently to develop and maintain database scripts. It has a search across files option, which I use heavily.

I noticed a similar problem. I was running a long running query, and wanted to open another worksheet to run a different query against the same database. The message came back that the connection was busy.
So, I switched back to PL/SQL Developer, which allows multiple windows to the same database to run queries at the same time.

Sounds just like what was happening with my Alum MB. I took it in and they replaced my battery. It seems to be ok now. I don't know what it is, but my battery was fine before 10.5.6 and the same timeframe of the firmware updates when they came out.
My battery health was jumping around but was fine before all of this happened. Unfortunately at 381 cycles I don't think you have much chance of getting the battery for free. Perhaps you can complain about the battery saying it was fine until 10.5.6 or whatever. Not sure when your computer was made, but perhaps you are eligible for this program: http://www.apple.com/support/macbook_macbookpro/batteryupdate/

Does the search query for the forums work at all?

I at the forum through the Adobe Help application. When I do specific searches of the Illustrator forum, even picking search terms that appear in the opening list of most recent discussions, I get NO search results back.
I've expanded the timeframe, and broadened to forums and discussions - nothing back.
It this some glitch by coming to this from a Mac? Very very puzzled.

Open a Finder search (⌘ F)
Click on one of the criteria buttons and select 'Created'
Set the option to the timeframe you want to search for

You might need to reindex Spotlight if it isn't returning any results:
Spotlight: How to re-index folders or volumes
From the Apple () menu, choose System Preferences.
Click Spotlight.
Click the Privacy tab.
Drag a folder or an entire volume (your hard drive) to the list.
If prompted for confirmation, click OK.
Remove the item or volume you just added to the list by clicking it and then clicking the minus ("-") button.
Close Spotlight preferences.
Spotlight will re-index the contents of the folder or volume.

Iphone limits (searching, editing...)

I called Apple Tech support on my iphone, not the one with the problem, and after 30 minutes, the call was dropped in the middle of the tech support guys sentence.
Regardless:
Overall I am NOT at all happy with the iphone: too many problems, main one being the fact that it will NOT search back more than one rolling year in calendar.
The screen is too small (I prefer a screen between 4" and 5.5" size, and BTW, the ipad is way too large for me.).
Entering an event in calendar takes way too many key strokes (touches), it is not user friendly: with not being able to use strokes to go back in edit mode, with only having ONE line editable (this is a huge limit), and with not being able to tap on a time in calendar to automatically start an entry... and much more...
I WILL be buying Apples competition devices ASAP. when they come out with one that has a large enough screen (4 to 5.5") and allow searching where the search result will include all dates, and TAKE ME TO THE SEARCH STRINGs IN the documents that has them; instead of just showing me the document that HAS the string somewhere in it like the iphone does.
I'm a long time apple customer, since the apple II, and am not happy with the direction apple has gone. Toys, toys, toys for kids. instead of useful powerful tools. SHAME ON YOU APPLE.

I bought the EVO 4G, and really really like the size of the screen, much easier to read, with my being over 40 and needing reading glasses, but with this screen size I don't need them!
I also like:
1. the fact that is shows the weather on home screen, and in the calendar!
2. it was easy to sync my contacts on the Mac.
3. The camera is much better than the one one the iphone 3Gs, ditto the camcorder.
(much better light sensitivity than on the iphone 3Gs, which (iphone) was much better than the camera on the Droid).
4. I really like the 4 buttons on the EVO, that are always there! (back button, search button, home and menu, very nice!
5. that just like the iphone it also can use ereader. must download first tho.
6. The nutrition/fitness program I found (Calorie Counter) is better than the same type program I found on the iphone.
what I don't like:
1. after much trial and error, I've come to the unhappy conclusion that I CAN NOT get my calendar data into the android Calendar AND ALSO INTO THE EVO 4G. (I mainly use a Mac, and have had horrible trouble, countless hours trying to get all the data into Google Calendar, no fault of the EVO or Android OS, but for some reason Google Calendar cannot even import IT'S OWN BACKUP FILE! I've tried on THREE different computers to do this, Two PC's and one Mac. I had a tech support guy take over one of the PC's and he also failed to get it to import it's own backup/archive data, since I had backed up google cal, so there would be no 7,000 duplicates like last time, and was dismayed to find that it not only failed to import iCal data, but also failed to import it's own file.)
2. I was very hopeful that Mark/Space's "Missing Sync for Android" would fill in the missing ability. However I was not able to import all the data into Fliq calendar, and worse of all: Fliq Calendar, included with Missing Sync for Android, DOESN'T HAVE A SEARCH FEATURE! (the tech support guy says: "I don't have a timeframe for when Fliq Calendar will have a search option. All I can say is that its been looked at and considered. " Nice of them to 'consider' such a basic and required feature. heh.
I am very glad Mark/Space has a free 2 week trial version, so I didn't have to waste money only to find out it lacks such basics.
3. Man! I was REALLY thinking this EVO would work, but besides all the little problems with EVO 4G, NOT MENTIONED, google calendar, when I finally did get some data into it, fails to sync EVO to Google, but usually, not always, syncs Google to EVO.
So, I am sad to say that I need to return this wonderful EVO 4G to Sprint, and I just need to resign myself to the iphones limits (of NOT being able to search backwards more than one rolling year, in calendar on the device.!!) BTW: THIS LIMIT is true of ALL iphones, and even the iPad.

Yes, I know, they produce so much that is good, that’s awesome.
It just irks me that they take our power away with their controlling, unilateral way of being.

Enhance search options in WFDRESSCH

In CRM service - search for assignments, we use the option "Timeframe" to search. HOwever, this doesn't have the option
"last month". It only has current month and next month.
How can we extend the view WFDRESSCH/SearchView to support also "last month"

Check the method GET_INITIAL_SELECTION_PARAMS of IMPL class, you need to extend the search in GET_DQUERY_DEFINATION.

Search Expired - want to search for files greater or older than value

I'm trying to build an Auto-Archive process into Final Cut Server. For the most part it is working well.
It is comprised of 2 responses that run on a schedule:
1) Response searches a specific device for all assets over 100 days old. Mark these as a under 'candidate for archive'.
2) Response searches a specific device for all "true" candidates for archive. If they have not been accessed in 30 days, then archive.
The problem seems to be response #2. Final Cut Server only allows search expired within a timeframe, not before or after a time frame. So if I set it to 30 days, it is finding all assets accessed within 30 days, not older than 30 days.
Any way to search for older or greater than a specific day range?

Well I tell ya, the documentation isn't worded very well:
"Search Expired - Searches for expired items. It creates events based on a timestamp field (such as Last Accessed) and a value defining the number of past days to look for. "
I read this "past days to look for" as though it would search within a value. So if the value was 30 days that it would identify all assets 1-30 days old.
Of course looking at the log in Final Cut Server it states "searching for assets older than 30 days".
I just need to rethink this process and clean it up.

Performing a search for new site

How long does it take before someone can search for your site after publishing? I published a site this past weekend, but it doesn't appear on a google search...

You'll definitely have to allow some time for Google's spiders to crawl your site. The more links you have in different places that point to your site, the faster you can potentially get crawled. If you go to Google and the other search engines, you can submit your URL to the search engines directly as well, though this does not guarantee being included in any timeframe either. Mine took about 3 weeks from when I first started my website.
