Timeline won't survie a save

Question

I can't get a timeline to survive closing and opening of the
file. I am new to dreamweaver and don't know what is really going
on or why it is not working.
The problem:
I create a simple timeline giving it a name. Define a few
behavors that show and hide some objects. I save the file, preview
it in IE. It works as expected. Close the file and reopen. The
timeline dose not show in the menu. Try to preview in IE again. The
timeline is now not working.
I tried creating a new simple single image page and an auto
run timeline. It appears to work correctly, surviving the close. I
don’t know enough to just review the raw code, and find what
the problem is. I tried opening up the file prior to adding the
timeline and trying again and it didn’t help.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

For me, that effect is deeply annoying. The constant motion
on the page is
distracting, and none of the content is displayed long enough
to read, or to
print effectively. I encourage you to consider alternatives,
perhaps like
some of the effects shown here -

In addition, your page throws multiple javascript errors, all
related to the
timelines. And look at how much code is devoted just to
initializing and
playing them!
I just wouldn't do it this way....
