Timeout and respond function modes

I was just wondering if i add TIMEOUT feature in my custom workflow, then on TIMEOUT, will the code in (FUNCMODE = 'RESPOND') execute along with the code i write in (FUNCMODE = 'TIMEOUT') ?
This is really important for me before proceeding furthur. Any help is really appreciated.

Jim , just to confirm , only the code in (FUNCMODE = 'TIMEOUT') within the post notfication function will execute.

Tim,
Use a Timer class of Framework library to have an explicit control over
the connection. If the end-of-stream marker is not received within a
specified interval of time, handle the situation.
ExternalConnection class does not have any timeout feature of its own,
but it would be a good idea to have one in future.

Subject: timeouts and ExternalConnection
I am working on a Forte service that uses a socket listener (implemented
using the ExternalConnection class) to handle incoming messages. The
messages vary in length, so the code for processing each connection
loops until it finds an end-of-stream marker. If some client is
erroneously sending messages without the marker, it'll loop forever. I
would like the connection to time out if it doesn't receive any valid
messages within a fixed length of time. Is there some functionality
I've overlooked in ExternalConnection that would handle this? If not,
does anybody have an example of a good way to implement it?

BPEL - Handling invocation timeouts and Modifying Partner Link endpoints

We've built the basic functionality that we need in our BPEL process but are facing 2 specific questions that we are a bit stuck with and would really appreciate some help on..
1. Our BPEL process calls an external synchronous web service. We have a requirement that if this external web service is unable to respond to our BPEL process within a fixed timespan (say 1 minute), we need to treat this as a timeout and move on. Can anyone suggest what settings are required for this?
2. The second query is with regards to a likely situation we will face after go-live. If the URL of the external service changes (lets say the service moves from one server to another), ideally we would want to be able to configure this URL change rather than have to modify the WSDL and rebuild the BPEL project in JDev with the new WSDL. Does the BPEL Admin Console provide any such feature? As far as I can recall from a project a couple of years ago, Websphere Process Server did provide such a feature and I'm looking for something similar here but have not found it yet. I am not looking to use dynamic endpoints within our flow - just for an admin feature that would allow me to modify the URL externally via the console.
Would really appreciate any suggestions on these 2 points..

In response to your second query -
a) you don't need to rebuild the BPEL project in Jdev in order to change the wsdl file. If you update the WSDL file with new values for your endpoint simply clear the WSDL cache and the process will pick up the new values in the new instances created from thereon.
b) or if you dont' want to update the wsdl manually, you can write a piece of java code to change the endpoint URL's for the deployed BPEL processes using the code given here

When using Disk Utility to attempt to verify or repair the permissions of the internal hard drive volume containing the OS, the progress meter stops moving and the verify or repair operation does not finish. The Console log file reveals the problem:

Note that the OS version is incorrectly reported as 10.4.10 in the console log. This was the version that I was using PRIOR to installing Leopard. The version I'm actually using is 10.5.1.

After a second look, the console messages do not relate to the problem I reported. They relate to another lockup problem I'm having after moving from Tiger to Leopard.
Nevertheless, the description of the problems I'm having with the Verify and Repair functions of the Disk Utility is accurate. I had absolutely no problems when I was using Tiger.

My Copy and Paste Function is not working

I recently upgraded to Firefox 16.02 and everything worked fine for a while but last night out of the blue my copy and paste function stopped working. As far as I know I have not done anything different. My copy paste function still works in Chrome and IE.
I have uninstalled/reinstalled Firefox and that did not solve the problem. As we speak I am running an AV scan and I also cleared the web cache and what not in Firefox. Ran it in safe mode... nothing seems to work!
Interestingly though, when I went to Copy and Paste the "trouble shooting info" from the clipboard to here on this page it worked fine.

[Bug?] In Range and Coerce Comparison Mode

It seems that changing the Comparison Mode of the IR&C function with Arrays or Clusters attached does not trigger Type Propagation, or whatever is responsible for selecting the proper instance. For example, if I wire up three arrays to the inputs of IR&C, change comparison mode to Compare Aggregates, then create an Indicator from the In Range? output, the result is the wrong indicator and a broken wire. Likewise, I can change the mode on an IR&C function with a wired In Range? output and it will not break the wire until a later change triggers a recompile or type propagation.

Hi Darin,
As mentioned, that CAR refers specifically to clusters and the 'In Range?' boolean output of the In Range and Coerce function. The specific VI that showed the issue always had an In Range output of true for all elements of the cluster except the first. However, it is worth note that the Coerced results showed correct behavior, unbundling showed correct behavior, changing the numeric representation of the compared elements (even changing back to the original representation of U32) corrected the behavior, this error is fixed in LabVIEW 2011, and when I recreated the VI from scratchn in LabVIEW 2010 it behaved as expected.
So, it is very unlikely that the error fixed in this CAR will impact your use of the In Range and Coerce function.

Typically you want to replicate in your code what SAP is doing in theirs... I find the easiest way to achieve this is to turn on debugging (/h) and run the standard SAP transaction, and set Breakpoint > At Statement > Authority-Check and see what gets triggered... then you can be pretty sure you are checking the same objects, fields, and values.

Trinidad Nested Tables Collapse and Expand Functionality Change

I am using JSF Trinidad 1.2 for JSF Implementation.
I am using <tr:table> and f:facet's detailStamp component's of Trinidad to get Nested Table functionality. I have three tables i.e. table1, table2, table3. Each row of Table1 has nested Table2 and each row of Table2 has nested Table3. It seems that the collapse and Expand functionality of these component makes AJAX call to the server and fetches the relevant data.
My requirement is to have data populated to all the three tables during initial Load and use clientSide Javascript function to collapse the Table2 and Table3 rows on initial Display. Once all the table1 rows are displayed, I should have collapse and expand at row level of Table1 that should make Table2 data visible and invisible on click using Javascript i.e. no server side call.
I am not sure If I can disable the inbuilt AJAX calls on click to expand and collapse. If yes, how I can do that?
Second Thing will be how I can populate my custom Javascript on those collapse and expand onclick event?

I am using viewset as assignment block in component B where i need to change the title on Lazy and Direct mode. Method of IF_BSP_WD_HISTORY_STATE_DESCR for viewset does not work in this scenario.

Reduced Functionality Mode - Office 2013

Is it possible to force Office 2013 (volume license) into a Reduced Functionality Mode straight away without having to wait out the 30-day trial?
I have a fairly niche application with regular imaging and I'd like my default images to have read-only Office installed. Hardware that needs editing can then have a product key entered to activate and unlock.

Can I turn off phone and sms function?

Sometimes I want to watch movies without interruption. Can I turn off all the phone, sms, e-mail function and turn on only video? Just like iPod touch? If yes, how to?

You can go in and activate Airplane Mode which essentially turns off the radios (3G, Edge, Wifi, etc.). No phone calls will come through obviously.
This should allow you to watch movies without any interruptions. Obviously things like alarms will still function though.
