Timeout for Window Expansion

1. When the mouse accidentally drifts over the Connections tab it pops up too quickly, the timeout should be configurable or should be a less agressive setting
2. Where's the pinpush for those windows a la JDeveloper - I use those all the time in JD ?

  • Set a timeout for crystal sessions while using the Windows.Forms.Viewer?

    Hi,
I am looking for a way to set the timeout for the crystal report sessions when using the Windows.Forms.Viewer in a .NET application. I guess that the default value is 20 minutes (like in the entperprise installations) but we cannot afford to keep many sessions open for that long. Is there a registry entry which can be set? Or even a way to do this programmatically?
    Thank you in advance,
    Stratos

    Hi David,
we are talking here about a standalone .NET application where the reports are installed locally (like the application itself). We are not retrieving the reports from a server. The whole thing was developed using the crystal report viewer model probably because it was easier to do so. Is there a method in this model to tell the crystal runtime to do the clean-up work either for a report (like the ReportDocument.Close() ) or for the entire runtime instance. Dispose() does not seem to help us. If you say that there is no other way than redesign then we have to consider this option also.
    Cheers
    Stratos
PS: What I was thinking of (as Plan B instead of using the ReportDocument object model) is to instantiate the crystal report viewer object in a separate process (.exe). Please note that we open a new crystal report viewer windows for each report, which is displayed. Closing the viewer window (ie. terminate the process) will at least then clean up and release the crystal DLLs and hopefully close the database connections. Or am I missing something here?

  • Adobe Pro XI install: Timeout waiting for window to load

Installed fine on my work computer yesterday (subscription).  Trying to download and install at home from the website and getting "Timeout waiting for window to load".  I've tried IE, Chrome and Firefox.  I do have a Pro 8 installed here, but don't want to chuck it until I know XI is going to install - not sure I know where that disk is any longer.

    Hi Daniel,
Seems to be a network issue here.
Please try downloading the file ( Download Acrobat products | 9, 8 ) from any other network, (may be your work computer network) and save the setup file to a flash drive.
Connect the flash drive to the home computer and try installing.

  • Where are TDR timeout Registry Keys for Windows 8.1?

I have intermittent trouble with TDR video failure but only at start-up (or coming out of sleep or hibernation).
I have the latest drivers (direct from AMD) and all memory, hard driver, dxdiag, graphics devices torture tester and general use all work perfectly.
This is a dual AMD Radeon HD 6450 video card 4 screen setup.
My observation is that the problem only ever occurs when Microsoft updates are being installed at start-up  (often on Wednesday morning!).
After restarts, it usually finally works and all works fine.
I would therefore like to try increasing the TDR timeout value in the registry to see if this 'cures' the problem.
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff569918(v=vs.85).aspx  gives registry locations, but these locations do not seem to be present for Windows 8.1.  Nor does a search for TDR and TDR* find any items.
Please can someone tell me where this timeout is for Windows 8.1.
    Thank you.
    Paul A. Bristow

My power plan is for very long power down times, so it very rarely returns from sleep mode, so I do not have enough experience with returning from sleep of hibernation to come to any conclusions on this.  I'm not even
sure I have ever seem it failing from sleep/hibernation.
The very intermittent (and increasing annoying) problem is with startup from cold.
When it fails, it usually restarts, with illegible fuzzy screen on one screen, and a fuzzy pattern but with the video_tdr_failure message on another (and nothing on the others). Goes through varies checks (chkdsk?) sends error the MS and finally usually
succeeds eventually after two or three restarts.

  • Expansion Card USB 3.0 for Kinect for Windows?

I have bought the Kinect v2 Sensor for Windows and XBOX One + Adapter to try and program them on the PC. Everytime I connect them to the PC, the Kinect v2 Configuration Verifier shows me a warning that the USB Controller detected is supported but with
unknown bandwidth. It may or may not be compatible with my hardware.
Does anyone have any experience in regards to the USB Controller? I have also done all the Windows Update and now very confused because the Kinect won't deliver streams now.
Note: I have read this https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/de-DE/bb379e8b-4258-40d6-92e4-56dd95d7b0bb/confirmed-list-of-usb-30-pcie-cardslaptopsconfigurations-which-work-for-kinect-v2-during?forum=kinectv2sdk and bought and installed the Transcend
PDU3, but it also shows me the same error message. Help is very much needed.

    RAM: 16 GB
    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790K CPU @ 4.00GHz
    Graphics Processor: DirectX 11 capable

There are no lights that appear on the sensor by just being plugged in. You will see an orange/white light on the adapter(white is a connected to pc indication). In device manager, do you see the Kinect driver loaded? Did you follow the steps in the trouble

  • Setting timeout for all the web test scripts in the solution

    Hello,
I have around 16 web test scripts (using VSTS 2010 ultimate version) in my project (in a solution). By default the timeout set for each request is 60 sec. I need to increase the timeout to 180 sec. Currently, I am clicking on each request and modifying
the timeout parameter from the Properties window.
Is there any common setting for timeout available which would be acting across all the scripts?
    Thanks.

    Hello,
We only can set Timeouts for a separate request in Visual Studio Web Test. There is no way to set Timeout for all requests in VS IDE. But you can write you own logic code using
Timeout Property in a web test plugin to set Timeout for all requests in a web test.
About how to write a web test plugin, please see:
How to: Create a Web Performance Test Plug-In

  • Jabber for Windows 9.2 Deskphone Control

    Hi,
    I have a deployment with:
    CUCM 9.1(1a) (9.1.1.20000-5)
    IM and Presence 9.1(1a) 9.1.1.20000-5
    Jabber for Windows 9.2.3(4417)
I have got most features working but Deskphone Control is not working. I can see the devices associated with my user from within Jabber when I select "Use my phone for calls" but cannot control them.
The connection status page shows the correct IP address for the CTI server.
I have spent hours reading through various documents and forums which seem to contain contradictory advice.
To clarify theserver  versions that I have deployed support the new UC Services which are referenced from a Service Profile which is assigned to the user.
I am not making any progress resolving this issue. Does anyone have any advice on how to move forward with this?
    Thanks
    James

  • Jabber For Windows - Available Status on Hibernation

We're running Jabber for Windows 9.1.1 ansd see an issue which I think is casued by hiberantion.
A laptop user will be at their pc and and Available, then on leaving their desk, they would typically just close their pc lid, hibernating the pc,  and leave the building.
Their status stays as Available, when of course thay are not. I understand that CUP has not received a specific state change event to update their status, but does any one know if their is a timeout/keepalive that would eventually indicate the user is offline?
I've not had chance test this in detail yet, I've just noticed it a few times when users near me are no longer at their desk, but still show as available.
Has anyone out there come across this? Or do I need to be telling our users they should sign out of Jabber before hibernating their pc's?
    Regards
    Kelvin

    Hi  All,
We have also been suffering from this issue ( I supect) - Running 9.1.2 client but it is also in 9.1.1.  Same CUPS 8.6 version etc.
Closing my PC lid  - PC Asleep
I can been seen as Away from another PC.
Opening my PC lid - I am still seen Away - both on my own jabber and a watcher client. I haven’t logged out and my status does not change even when I am back on the keyboard etc.
I can change it manually and then its appears correct both on my PC and the other PC.
    Or
If I log out of jabber and back in – the correct status is shown both locally and remotely.
This appears confusing to the end user who thinks presence isn't working correctly. we have a number of jabebr users that move between locations for meetings and hence often just close thier PC lid and move locations. FYI - this also happens within the same site.
can you advise if there is a TAC case and if so if we can get an update ?
    thanks
    Russ

  • How to use an external drive for windows and mac

I recently got an external hard drive (2 TB seagate expansion) and I need to be able to use it with both my mac and my windows computer. I have read numerous forums and tried downloading various third party programs but nothing seems to work! One of the things i have read was to create a partition on the drive, this is easy enough and i did try it so i do have one side i can add stuff from from windows and one side i can add stuff to from my mac but then i cant access the other side. So say i need to get a file from my mac to my windows. I add a file to the mac side of the partition from my mac but then when i plug it into windows i cant retrieve that because its on the mac side of the partition (and vis versa). Is there some sort of easy way around this? or some way in which i can format the drive where i can move files back and forth from windows to mac without any expensive third party programs?
    Thanks!
    Bryan
PS. I did notice when i originally got the hard drive i had a bunch of files on it that were added from windows. When i plugged it into my mac i could see and copy these files but i could not add new files. Is there anyway to get around this "read only" type formate if i were to reset my drive back to its factory settings?

    Three ways to go;
Repartiton the drive (1 partition) as MBR and with FAT32 file system. This is readable and writable by both Mac and Windows, but has a file size limit (which I think is 4GB).
The alternative is to leave the drive formatted as NTFS for Windows (this is not normally writeable from Mac) and employ a third-party software application which can write to NTFS. NTFS-3G, Paragons NTFS for Mac and Tuxera NTFS have all been recommended elsewhere.
Or you can repartition as GUID with HFS+ (Mac OS Extended Journalled) file system. This would not normally be accesible to the Windows machine, but once again there is 3rd-party softwsre available to enable Windows to read and write to it. MacDrive is the only one I'm aware of, but there are probably others.

  • JCO Timeout for SAP Business Connector 4.7

    Environment :
Windows 2000, SAP Business Connector (BC) 4.7
    General Description :
SAP BC is used to invoke BAPI's in the SAP R/3 system.
    Issue :

Following is the entry in the rfc trace log file when BC starts up ...

    Questions :
       1) Is there a SAP BC configuration parameter for RFC execution timeout ??
       2) Any other way of enforcing the RFC time out ??
       3) If there is a way to set timeout on JCO.Client.execute method ??
I really appreciate your help !!

I have tried changes the connection timeout value but if doesnot affect the time RFC. Following is from SAP BC adapter  guide ..
Delay (minutes) until an unused connection to a SAP
System is timed out (default: 5)
I think I need similar setting as that for RFC connection !!

  • Error: Timeout for content (ias1.0.2.2 on W2000)

I have recently installed iAS 1.0.2.2 (standard edition)
    Database is 8.1.7.1.1
    OS is Windows 2000
Machine is Compaq Armada M700 with 512Mb memory
The install seemed to go fine, but some of the Portal administrative portlets are displaying the message "Error: Timeout for content" (e.g. instead of the "Services" portlet). Different portlets timeout each time I refresh the page. The machine appears to be healthy. iAS and the database are the only Oracle software installed. The 81711 patch was applied after the original iAS installation in the hope of fixing the problem. Portal proxy configuration has not been changed.
I've tried a couple of changes in the zone.properties file without success e.g.
    servlet.page.initArgs=stall=30
    servlet.page.initArgs=requesttime=1000
    Jserv.log has errors like this:

Has anyone encountered similar, or can anyone suggest a solution?
    Regards, Mark

Futher to previous thread, I've just tried reinstalling on a clean database 8.1.7.1.1 EE (no invalid objects) as per release notes, and I'm still suffering the same "Timeout for content" in random portlets. Could it be a Windows 2000 issue (I'm running SP 1 as per release notes)? Or maybe something to do with the fact that the hostname has uppercase letters in it?
Jason suggested a proxy issue, but I haven't made any changes there - not even gone into that portlet.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
As an alternative, when will Linux 1.0.2.2 be available?

    5. Logon to this user, and open the profile folder properties.
    5b. Share this folder.
    6. Make the Share permissions so that 'everyone' has: Full Control, Read, Change.
    Click Apply + Ok.
    7. Click on 'Caching' and disable Caching for this Share.
    Click Ok.
    8. Now goto the 'Security' tab and give 'Administrator' and 'SYSTEM' 'Full Control'.
    Click Apply + Ok.
    On the remote PC(s):
    1. Make the same User as on the Host.
1b.Logon to the account and log back out again. Delete the profile folder from 'Documents and Settings'.
    3. Give 'SYSTEM': 'Read','Read and Execute','List Folder Contents' to the 'Administrators' Profile
    4. Type 'lusrmgr.msc' into run, goto: 'Users', double click on the new user and goto the 'Profile' tab.
4b. In the 'Profile Path' box, type \\hostPCname\ProfileName.
    Click Apply + Ok
*Note* Replace the \\path\ accordingly to what names are on your Host PC.
    5. Goto regedit>HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion. Double click
    on 'ProfileList'.
Find which key is for the new user. (Example S-1-5-21-58435627-18431725-18026167-1003)
    6. Right click that key and goto: 'Permissions' and give 'SYSTEM' 'read'.
*Note* Once you logon to the roaming profile from the remote PC for the first time you can undo this step.
    7. goto GPEdit>Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/System/User Profiles:
    Enable these settings:
'Do not check for user ownership of roaming profile folders'
'Delete cached copies of roaming profiles'
'Log users off when roaming profile fails'
"Add the Administrators security group to roaming profiles'
'Prevent roaming profile changes from propagating to the server'
7b. Make 'Timeout for dialog boxes' '1' (seconds)
    8. goto: Computer Configuration/Security Settings/Local Policies/Security Options:
Make 'Number of previous logons to cache (if server is unavailable) '0'
Now you're ready to login to the Profile on the remote PC.
*Note* Sometimes, when windows loads it takes a minute for the profile folder to become shared again.
    Thanks for reading.

    Hi,
I have replied to the below thread mentioning the FM's to create Profile sets, profiles and also target groups. This may be helpful to you.

  • Change the default timeout for Air in Ubuntu?

I found that the default timeout for Air in Ubuntu is by default 30 seconds. I need to change it, but I could not do it. I know that there are some issues relating timeout https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/SDK-22016 https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FP-4934 and https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/SDK-27551
I compiled my application with Air 2.5 SDK and now on Windows the timeout set by me is used. But in Ubuntu is still 30 seconds.
Do you have any solution to change the timeout? In the flash bug there is a workaround for Windows, but nothing for other OS. Do you know from where the value of timeout is loaded by Air?

    Hi IoneIB,
I am still fcing this issue in windows for my FileReference.download() method for my AIR application.I am using 2.7 SDK.How did you fix this issue ? Please provide me the solution..

  • Domain Group Policy changes causes clients to be unable to connect to WSUS for Windows Updates

Domain Controller is Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit, Group Policy Management version 6.0.0.1. WSUS server is Windows Server 2008 Enterprise 32-bit, Update Services version 3.2.7600.226. Client machines are Windows 7, some are 64-bit and some are 32-bit.
Every time we make any changes to any of our Group Policies most of our clients stop getting their Windows Updates from the WSUS server within 2-3 days. This occurs when we add a new policy for a group of users, temporarily disable a policy or edit a policy.
Check of the WindowsUpdate.log on affected client machines shows:
    2014-06-25 13:40:44:976  760 1610 PT WARNING: GetAuthorizationCookie failure, error = 0x80072EE2, soap client error = 5, soap error code = 0, HTTP status code = 200

A further check of the log files shows:
    2014-06-21 19:36:06:995  156 1b0c Misc WARNING: SendRequest failed with hr = 80072ee2. Proxy List used: <proxy server name:8080> Bypass List used : <(null)> Auth Schemes used : <>
We do not use a proxy except for Internet connections. We configure IE with a pac file. This is set through Group Policy since we restrict user accounts from being able to set it.
The clients that are connecting to the WSUS server have these entries instead:
    2014-06-24 09:12:16:779  992 270 Agent Setting download properties on call A20329BC-3467-4B7E-B9F4-6AC6ACBA23E1: priority=3, interactive=1, owner is system=0, proxy settings=1, proxy session id=2
I have a routine that will fix the problem but it is time-consuming and pulls me away from other things I should be doing:
Run registry files on client machine (WindowsUpdate and AU) This is not always necessary and is already set by Group Policy and the affected clients already have the registry settings. No idea why it is necessary to do but it the steps below don't always
    work unless it is.
    netstop bits and netstop wuauserv
    ipconfig /flushdns
Delete qmgr*.* files from Downloader folder
    Delete Software Distribution folder
    Run from command prompt:
    sc.exe sdset bits D:(A;;CCLCSWRPWPDTLOCRRC;;;SY)(A;;CCDCLCSWRPWPDTLOCRSDRCWDWO;;;BA)(A;;CCLCSWLOCRRC;;;AU)(A;;CCLCSWRPWPDTLOCRRC;;;PU)
    sc.exe sdset wuauserv D:(A;;CCLCSWRPWPDTLOCRRC;;;SY)(A;;CCDCLCSWRPWPDTLOCRSDRCWDWO;;;BA)(A;;CCLCSWLOCRRC;;;AU)(A;;CCLCSWRPWPDTLOCRRC;;;PU)
    netstart bits and netstart wuauserv
    wuauclt /resetauthorization /detectnow
Run Windows Updates again from Control Panel
This routine always fixes the problem but I've found that I must do each step to guarantee success.
How or where is the proxy setting being changed for WSUS that we see in the WindowsUpdate logs and how do I prevent this from happening? It is also curious that it happens to most but not all of the client machines. When it does happen it's not always the
    same client machines.

You're right - the WSUS server is on the inside and does not need a proxy server. Tried running the netsh winhttp reset proxy command but was still not able to connect to the WSUS server. After running the netsh winhttp reset proxy command received response:
Current WinHTTP proxy setting: Direct access <no proxy server>.
Ran the command at 13:49 and then tried Windows Updates again. Here's snippet from the log file:

none to the proxy server for Windows Updates?
