Timer not in saved file

Hello alltogether,
I'm a newbie in LabView and I guess for you this question wil be quite easy.
I want to have a File which also includes the time from the timer. What is the problem ? As you see, in my lvm file I only get the pixel and the measurement.
Would be cool if you help me out.
Thanks

HI
yes you are right - I didn't know which name to take and so I chose this one. But I don't have a lot of experience and got the task last week to get this in a measurement file and worked 2 hours on it. SO I can not really understand it.
What I want is (like in my example file) a kind of a timestamp in my file that tells me after which period of time the measurement was made.
I saw the first row but it always gave me back 0. Do I have to get the ticker out of the two loops?
I want the value of the tick in every measurement from the beginning of the measurement until I stop it. That would be perfect. What do I need to do? change int to dbl ? It would be enough if there would be a 0 but e.g. 0,003 s in the first measurement, 0,005 ir whatever in the second measurement,... see the file.
Thank you very much.

  • Simplesave sd320a does not show saved files or directory structure, disk full?, I can restore

I was saving files from an old win95 machine to bring them to a new laptop which is windows 7.  I plugged in the drive which is not full and I can only see the hp launcher.  In drive properties this drives shows 100 pct full.
I can and did pull up an old simple save backup and restore pictures.
The windows 7 machine is a locked down work machine.  Maybe the file structure was changed by the windows 95 machine and now my windows 7 machine can not see the root directory?
I have not written to the drive since storing all of the pictures from the 95 machine and unplugging the external hard drive.
I am looking for help on how to see the files in the root directory that I simply use the copy command to move them on to the external drive.

    OldGhias,
Have you found a solution yet? I don’t know if I will be of any help but I was curious and no one else has chimed in yet.
I don’t quite understand all of your statement.
To clarify, you were making SimpleSave backups from Win95 and cannot see them all on the Win7 laptop?
    Or
You were copying files over (SimpleSave utility not used) and you cannot see those files on Win7 but you can on the Win95 machine?
Do you have another Win7 machine you could connect the external to, to see if the files are still not showing (one that is not locked for work)?
On the drive that shows full, can you see it in Disk Management showing the correct size of the drive and also another CD drive? Not your real CD/DVD drive, it’s actually a CD emulator that is attached to the HDD for encrypting the backups and all SimpleSave’s have them.
Lastly, did you reformat the SimpleSave drive to Fat32 first?
My understanding is that USB support was quite limited on Win95 machines. Since Win95 is Fat32 and the SimpleSave drive is by default NTFS, I would think it would not work.

  • AppleWorks not opening saved files

AppleWorks (on OS 9) can still open files, but now when it saves any new document, it won't allow it to open again. When I try to open any newly saved file, it throws up a dialog box that says "Unexpected end of file." twice.
Old documents can be opened but new ones can't.
What could be the problem and how (if at all possible) can it be fixed?
I've already tries rebuilding the Desktop file and deleting AppleWorks preferences files but it doesn't seem to change. Peggy (from the AppleWorks forum) suggested posting it here as it may be more of an OS 9 specific problem.

"When I try to open any newly saved file, it throws up a dialog box that says "Unexpected end of file." twice."
An “Unexpected End of File Encountered” alert message means that either the end of file marker is damaged or missing, or the end of file data does not reach the location defined by the end of file marker in a document. Usually this results when the file is incompletely saved or the application unexpectedly quits while the file is being saved. However, this error can occur during application launch, or when saving or printing.
If, after you receive the alert message, the document size is dramatically lower than the original size, the chances of recovery are minimal. It is recommended to use a backup copy of this document.

  • Photoshop CS5 not actually saving files to SMB shares

Since upgrading to OS X 10.6.6 (and still in 10.6.7) Photoshop CS5 will not reliably save documents to SMB shares on my file server. When I "Save As" a new document, Photoshop goes through all the motions of saving the file. It seems to complete successfully. No error messages. The asterix in the documents title bar disappears as if the file saved. If you command-click on the document's title bar icon it will display the file path properly, as if the file was properly saved and exists. If, however, you go to the folder on the server where the document was supposedly saved using the Finder (or on a Windows machine in the Windows Explorer) the file does not exist. It was never actually saved.
This seems to happen mostly with larger files (over, say, 100MB in size) as oppsed to smaller files. If I change my connection to the server to AFP as opposed to SMB(CIFS) the file saves correctly without any problems.
Has anybody else ever encountered this problem? I have only noticed this issue since upgrading past OS X 10.6.5.
    Thanks!

This is the boilerplate text often used in connection to saving to a network (please NOTE the part where it explains that normally, it does work, but that it is impossible to troubleshoot someone else's network remotely, and that's why it's not supported by Adobe):
If you are opening files over a network or saving them to a network server, please cease and desist immediately in the event you are currently experiencing problems with one or more files. Working across a network is not supported.
    See:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/406/kb406793.html
Copy the CLOSED file from your server to your local hard disk, work on it, save it again to your local hard disk, close it, and copy the closed file back to the server.
Of course, the fact that Adobe does not support working across a network does not necessarily mean it won't work.   It should.
Adobe's position is that there are too many variables in a network environment for them to guarantee that everything will work correctly in every network, especially given the fact that if something does not work properly, it's probably the network's fault, and Adobe has no way of troubleshooting your network.
If you can't work locally, you are on your own, and if something happens, you're on your own. If you must work from a server, make sure your network administrator is a competent professional.
When problems arise, a lot of valuable work can be lost.

  • Reader XI does not allow saving files to D-drive

I have the latest version of Reader XI installed on Windows 7.
When I have PDF document opened on browser and try to save it to my computer I get error saying that the target disk full.
This happens only if I try save it to my D-drive. Saving to C-drive works without problem. The result is same for all PDF documents.
If I open local PDF file on Reader I can then save it to D-drive.
My D-drive has more than 400GB free space and it is not malfunctioning. My user account has full permissions on that drive.
I was unable to find any setting that might be related to this.
What could be the cause of this and could it be fixed?

Turns out solution given here works: Problem Saving PDF files with Adobe Reader X
Must add Local computer\users to have list folder contents permissions on the target drive.

  • Published site does not match saved file

I need to make some changes to an iweb created website, but when I open the domain file in iweb only 2 pages ( show up in the side bar. The last time I saved this file, I had 10 pages. When I press "visit site" all of the pages show up.
Is this some sort of glitch? Can I do something to retrieve these pages or will I have to start from scratch?
    Any help greatly appreciated!

And now I'm seeing a problem of a similar nature.  The design and preview show a smooth transition between all pages, but the published site shows the logo in the upper left "jumping" when I leave the home page.  I've checked the page properties between all of the pages and they seem to be set the same.  I am using only one master page for all of the pages.  Any ideas on why this would be occurring?  The website is jacksoncompany.net.

  • Waveburner not opening saved files

    Hi guys
have had some major problems with my Waveburner from Logic 9 Upgrade. When i go to save my project that's no bother but when i go to open the project a warning box comes up and says
"Bounce wb3. Waveburner cannot open this file type".... what's the craic there then.. would appreciate help on the as i have lost many hours of work
    cheers
    Sean

It was my problem too. This is the answer:
    Hi,
I have a new update of logic studio 9 with included waveburner. When I tried to open my previous waveburner files I got a 'non recognition' error message. Reading other posts on this forum, I first tried to find a relevant plist, couldn't. Tried a fresh install from the install disk, with just waveburner, that didn't work. Downloaded Amnesia as a free 15 day trial from koingo software, uninstalled waveburner using Amnesia, and then again did a fresh install from the install disk with just waveburner. That worked, and waveburner now seems to be functioning. - I'm posting this for the info of others in the same boat (apparently a common problem),
    Good luck all,

  • Opening saved files

can not open saved files on my desktop with new reader

    Mac HD/Library/Internet Plug-ins
Trash the AdobePDFViewer.plugin and AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin files
    Mac HD/Applications
    Trash the Adobe Reader app
    Empty the trash.
Download the FULL installer and reinstall Reader: http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
Launch Reader and accept the license agreement.
You will now be able to download and open PDFs.
Note: the files which say "damaged" are just that. You'll need to trash them, as they cannot be repaired.

  • I saved my Form Central spreadsheet file once as a excel file but it will not allow me to save it a second time as an excel file.  It says that I cannot complete this action because the file me be open in another application, but it is not open in another

I saved my Form Central spreadsheet file once as a excel file but Forms Central will not allow me to save the file a second time as an excel file.  I am informed that I cannot complete this action because the file me be open in another application, but it is not open in another application. What is the problem, and how do I solve the problem.  Thank you. Jeff

First check the version of the document with Jongware's script "Identify.jsx" (ExtendScript/JavaScript).
    You can find it here:
    [Ann] Identify Your InDesign File
If it is CS 5.5 or above, you need someone to open it in the version the script says and export an IDML representation from that. Another way would be to install a 30days version of CS6 or above (CC) and do it yourself.
In regards of the script showing a result for InDesign files higher than CS6:
    CS7 = CC v9
    CS8 = CC v10 = CC-2014 or CC2014.1

  • Time Machine Not Backing Up Recently Saved Files

I frequently work form home and need to access files that have been saved on my Time Machine Backup. The problem that I am having is that although I backup just before I leave the office, when I get home and open the file from the latest backup, it is out of date.
I have only noticed this problem with Quark files (I'm running Quark 8.162), but that might just be because this is the program that I am working in 95% of the time, so it may not just be these files.
This is a huge problem for me for this reason. Imagine I am working on a brochure in Quark at the office, I have just finished making a few last minute amends to the file before it goes to print and send off a pdf to the client for final approval. I then need to leave for the day so I do a quick Time Machine backup and go home. When I get home, I receive approval from the client to go to print so I open the most recent file on my backup and export a high resolution pdf to send to the printer. Now imagine that although the backup ran fine, the most recent Quark file on my Backup is out of date by a few hours! That is what is happening to me, and this could basically bankrupt me if I send a file to print for half a million copies and the amends that the client approved are not on the file I've used from my backup.
    Please Help!

As Thomas says, that might be some sort of quirk with the app you're using. And, if the file in question hadn't been saved to disk, it cannot be backed-up.
See #D5 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of this forum) for some other possibilities.
. . . so I open the most recent file on my backup and export a high resolution pdf to send to the printer.
I think Thomas is assuming you're doing that either via the Finder or the app in question. If so, he's correct that it's not the recommended way to use your backups.
Time Machine uses a complex structure, and special permissions, on the backups. Some kinds of files can be browsed via the "Star Wars" display, but to view other types of files, or actually use anything in your backups, they must be restored somewhere.
The problem with the Finder is, it's quite easy to accidentally move, change, or delete something that way, and that can corrupt your backups.
If you try to use a 3rd-party app with files on your backups, it probably can't open them, but if it can, it may alter something there, which can also cause corruption.

It sounds like you have one computer at work, a different one at home, and are carrying a portable external drive containing your backups between the two.
If so, restore the file you need to your home computer, then make the PDF from it.
Or, make a second partition on the backup drive. Before leaving work, copy the file in question from your work computer to the other partition. Then use that version to make and export the PDF.

  • The file could not be saved in folder "Time Machine Backups"

I've tried to setup TM with several external drives (USB and Firewire) and I get the same results... the file "xxx" could not be saved in folder "Time Machine Backups". Any ideas?

Hi, and welcome to the forums.
If that's exactly what the message says, it's a new one. If it's actually "An error occurred while copying files to the backup volume" or "Aborting backup because indexing a file failed," see #C3 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of this forum).
If not, see #A1 there for a handy widget that shows the backup messages from your logs. Download and install it, then copy and post all the messages for one backup attempt here.

  • CS6 & OSX 10.6.8 - saving files directly to the server does not work (most of the time)

    Hi there,
we just switched from OSX 10.5.8 to 10.6.8
OSX was installed on a new partition of the harddisk
    Then installed CS 5
Then installed CS 6 via (adobe creative cloud)
With CS6 we got also the problem with saving files to the server (program error)
It happens mostly with photoshop, sometimes with Illustrator.
I read a lot of posting regarding the same problem but didn´t found a real solution yet.
I am also wondering that there seems to be no solution for this now, because most of the posting i read are 1 year old.
