Times out at point of download

Hi.
Seem to be having same problem as others with iTunes. Can browse offerings, but at point of download, request times out. Happens on AppleTV and on iBook. Attempting to watch movie. When local device sends username/password, request times out. It is NOT a problem with my login, local devices, or network. It appears to be a problem accessing iTunes account files for authorization. Thanks for any further confirmation or link to status of iTunes availability.

Additional info ... when time out occurs, the following error message appears:
"We could not complete your iTunes Store request.
The network connection was lost.
There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later."

Hi,
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
Now restart your iPad. Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button down until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

Boot Camp assistant times out when supposed to download BC files

Hello,
I am helping a friend that need a Boot Camp (BC for short) partition on his DualCore iMac. But as we run BC assistant, it never finds the localized BC installation-files to use after we have installed win7 x64 on it.
1. Note that he has his original install-CD´s "somewhere" (read: nowhere to be found).
2. Due to compatibility-issues with some of the installed software - he has chosen to continue to run on 10.6 (Snow Leopard)
3. The internet works 100% with no restrictions and all other downloads and update works while BC assistant does not.
Even though we never got the BC-package - we managed to download a heapfull of updates (that all aquire previous version to be installed).
We still installed the Win7 x64 and even though most of it still works off the shelf (network, graphics etc.) - I would prefer to have the proper BC-package installed.
Is there no way to download a BC 3.3 full install - or is it possible to run 4.0 on a 10.6-system?
I boils down to:
* Where can I get/download a Win7 x64 BC 3.3 full install? (or at least a full 3.0, since I got the 3.2 and 3.3 updates)
* Or can someone verify that I can use BC 4.0 on a Snow Leopard 10.6-system (and where do I get that one then)?
It would be nice for me to have in any case, since I help a lot of people with their computers (both Apple, Windows and Linux) - and sometimes offline.

Choice 1 - After trying 12 times over the course of 2hrs, I gave up...
Choice 2 - This will be a choice even if I get this settled
Choice 3 - Will try and find my own (also in a box somewhere) or ask other contacts with simular configuration and borrow their disks (which sort of voids choice 4)
Now I just need to continue the search on choice 2...

Time out errors when trying to download ios5

I am trying to download the latest version for my iPad but keep getting time out errors and the download fails. My internet connection is still there and hasn't dropped off. Not sure why the download won't 'finish'. Thanks for any help.

I'm having the same problem too. I cannot sync or update over wireless or wired connections ever since I installed the most recent iTunes update. iTunes goes through the complete OS 5.0.1 download only to tell me the connection has timed out just when it seems ready to install. I've since reinstalled iTunes, I've ejected and done hard restarts on both my problem devices. I've disabled anti-virus, anti-malware, and firewall. No change in outcome except that, after doing all this, my final attempt to simply sync my 1st Gen iPad led to iTunes crashing and being automatically closed by windows just before finishing the final step. Is this a cruel joke, because I'm certain I can hear iTunes laughing at me for wasting so much time on this.

SSIS FTP connection Time out issue

Hi,
I have a package about 300MB downloading from a client's FTP out side of company,it was working for about 1 year , now I got time out error after 60% downloading.
I can manually download the package thru IE , so I guess it's NOT the connection issue. When I check the FTP connection , I noticed an interesting thing :
1> Time out range is 1-300, and 0 should mean NO TIME OUT , however, it seem whatever number I saved for TIme out , it's back to 60 sec (Default value) --I tried both on VS 2008 R2 and VS 2012
2> Package will be timed out after 5-6 minutes after the package start running
3> Error message is :
Connection manager "FTP Connection Manager" Description: An error occurred in the requested FTP operation. Detailed error description: Receiving file "XXX.zip". The operation timed out . End Error
Error: 2014-05-16 14:29:26.34 Code: 0xC002918A Source: Download zip file from PV FTP FTP Task Description: Unable to receive files using "FTP Connection Manager". End Error
Had anyone seen this error before ? Any one tried to set the time out as 0 with succeed ?

Hi Eva,
It may occur due to the Firewall blocking. Please add Inbound and Outbound rules for Port 21, and program DtsDebugHost.exe and DTExec.exe.
As a workaround, you can use FTP batch file instead of the SSIS FTP Task:

IOS 4.3 download fails - times out.

I've not been able to download iOS 4.3 from iTunes. It times out within 5 mins. Apple support helped troubleshoot. I uninstalled iTunes + 4 other modules. Restarted computer and reinstalled iTunes. We lowered security on router. I disabled Norton 360 antivirus and firewall, updated iTunes, sp3 in WindowsXP, checked security options in Internet Tools, etc. The next step in our troubleshooting was to uninstall Norton 360 and try downloading iOS 4.3 again. Before doing that, I thought I'd ask if anyone else was having trouble downloading iphone update and could point to a solution without uninstalling Norton. The file download times-out within appx 5 minutes. Thanks.

The problem is that the software is downloaded, but because the file is so large, the processing time required to complete the scanning of the file and subsequent renaming from the temporary download to the saved file name, takes than iTunes allows and it times out.
What I've done is find another site for downloading the file (which might not be available for several weeks after the official availability on the Apple web site), then download it directly to the the appropriate Apple folder on my computer (which you'll have to locate yourself via trying with iTunes first), then go back into iTunes and it will ask if you want to run that downloaded file.

iTunes has to contact Apple to send your agreement to the new conditions, but your security software has to allow this contact. If blocked, you'll get a time out message. Why do app downloads time out? iTunes 10.6.3.25

I have VZW FiOS, running iTunes 10.6.3.25 on Windows 7 and everytime I download app updates to iTunes they time out - it does not matter if there is 1 app, 3, 30, or more - I find I'm constantly clicking on dialog boxes and the "resume all" button in the downloads window. This is the only progra. Using the same connection on my iPhone they do not time out. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Okay I waited 2 weeks and in that time I had one multiple app download session where I disabled my firewall and still had the issue so I reenabled my firewall. I'm in the process of downloading a total of 48 app updates and thus far it has not kicked out the error. This is telling me that the issue was on Apple's end and it appears to be fixed. I'll give it one more multi-app download session. Thanks for the help and the suggestions.

What web browser are you using?
What type of connection do you have to your isp? phone line, dsl, cable, fios...

Are you asking if you can find out how many times an app has been downloaded from the app store? Or you asking if you can find how many times you have downloaded the app? If the former, you could try asking the developer. If the latter, none that I know of.
