Timesheet Cancel Button - no "Are you sure?" warning

Hi,
ESS WebDP timesheet ECC6 WAS 7.0....
We have implemented ESS timesheets but have a complaint that the "Cancel" button on the timesheet throws away data without warning.
I switched on "workprotect" mode  that prevents "Persaonal Info" being lost but the timesheet "Cancel" button ignores this and just exits the screen loosing the entered data.
Any idea if there is a way of configuring the "Cancel" button on Timesheet to ask the user whether they are sure they want to throw away their data?
TIA
J

Hi Jambo,
see if you can specify any client click attribute for the cancel button. If you can then provindig a java script will solve the issue...use the confirm popup function of the java script...
hope this helps..

  • Turn off "Are you Sure" Warning Deleting Junk Mail

In MS Oultook  you can turn off the "are you sure" warning when you want to empty the trash or erase junk mail. Can you do it Mail on a Mac? I've been through the Preferences and tried Googling it, but I don't find anything.

OK. I understand about "erase deleted items", you might accidentally delete something, but junk mail? "Erase Junk Mail" I need an "are you sure" warning for that?

  • Button Prompt "Are you sure?"

I have a delete button on one of my applications that has a "PROCESS" that has SQL statements that delete a record once depressed. Once you click this button, it deletes instantly. Is there a way to have a popup or something of the sort ask "Are you sure you want to delete this record?" or something of the sort with "Yes" or "No" buttons; Yes continues, No cancels the process?

    Found the answer -
    "javascript:confirmDelete(htmldb_delete_message,'DELETE');" in URL Location.
    Thanks all. :)

  • Can't remove "are you sure" question from mailbox.  Hitting "delete" or "cancel" does nothing.  It obscures view of addresses.

I wanted to delete untitled group in address book.  Up popped a notice, "Are you sure you want to delete the group "untitled group"? There is a cancel button and a delete button.  Upon clicking on neither one, nothing happens.  The notice obscures the address book.  How do I get it removed?

I just posted the same problem. Your post is more than two weeks old. Have you had a response yet?

    These are your options:
    1. Restore the iPhoto library from the most recent backup that predates the issue.
Advantages: Always works, if library damage is causing the problem and the backup is intact.
Disadvantages: Impossible if you don't have a backup. All changes made since the backup are lost.
    2. Repair or rebuild the library. Be sure to back it up first.
Advantages: May solve the problem with no loss of data.
Disadvantages: May fail. May take a long time if the library is large.
    3. Scavenge the library with a third-party application called "iPhoto Library Manager," which you can find in a web search. From the application's menu bar (not the iPhoto menu bar), select Library ▹ Rebuild.
Advantages: All images should be preserved.
Disadvantages: All books, calendars, and slideshows will be lost.

  • Warning when trying to launch application over mapped drive "We can't verify who created this file. Are you sure you want to run this file?"

We have 2 load balanced application servers that map drives with programs on them for users from a central server that are giving the warning "We can't verify who created this file. Are you sure you want to run this file?". Basically how it works
is a user logs in to one or the other application servers (for example, 10.0.0.1 or 10.0.0.2) and runs a log on script that maps an L:\ drive to the users folder on the central storage server (10.0.0.100). When the user goes to launch the .exe from the L:\
    drive it presents that warning.
I've looked around and have seen recommendations that you need to add the site to the local intranet zone for IE, but when I try to add L:\ it tells me that I have entered an invalid sequence. It appears that you can only put network shares in that location,
which is not how we're mapping the drive.
Has anyone run in to this before and knows how to resolve it?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
A mapped drive letter is not supported so please try to input \\server or \\server\folder to see if it will help.

  • "Are you sure you want to open 10 messages?" warning

When I highlight >10 messages to open at once, I get a warning to the effect of "Are you sure you want to open ## messages?" This is annoying, because I obviously highlighted >10 messages, and of course I want to open them all at once. My question is, is there a Terminal command that can turn off this annoying warning?
    Thank you

  • The question "Are you sure you want to delete appeared (I don't) and no place to cancel or say no.  Everything else frozen.

The inquiry "are you sure you want to delete the album..." appeared.  I don't want to delete, but there is no place to cancel or say no.  The rest of the system is frozen.  How do I get out of this?

What version of iPhoto and system are you ruinning?  Is this occurring within iPhoto?  If iPhoto is frozen then use the  ➙ Force Quit (Command+Option+Escape key combination) menu option to force quit out of iPhoto.

  • How do I stop "Are you sure you want to navigate away from this page? Press OK to continue, or Cancel to stay on the current page." from comeing up. It is new. Just started doing it yesterday morning.

I have used FireFox to play the Game Kingdoms Of Camelot, a facebook game. I also have Grease Monkey and a 3rd party add on. I leave it running 24/7 to gather food in the game for my army. It has run smoothly for 6 mo. Yesterday 2/04/11 in the morning it started asking for conformation when the page refreshed. i want to know how to stop this Box from comeing up it will not continue without refreshing and will not refresh untill th question is answered. It says "Are you sure you want to navigate away from this page? Press OK to continue, or Cancel to stay on the current page."

You're not going to stop it, and out here, what's illegal?
What it boils down to is a matter of ethics, and it's wrong. But the web
techies build this feature into their sites because they know somebody
is going to fly in off an engine like Google or MSN. And take something,
like a picture. Without stopping in and signing up or something else.
But what if I or you is out collecting stamps or avatars or wallpapers,
and have already taken a quiz, or signed up for a product? I've already
done that...but the site developers who use this ingenious(hijacking)
software don't see it that way, and don't care if you just got a computer
and want to pick up something here or there. Those sites don't get
anything when you visit and don't leave your number. I don't what
these 19 tracking cookies are for, do you?

When I try to close Firefox, an error box pops up with the message "If you exit now, 1 download will be canceled. Are you sure you want to exit?" I click on "Cancel 1 remaining download." (The other option is "Don't exit.") But the next time I try to close Firefox, the message pops up again. What can I do?
